Karrina, Lovely to hear from you again, and so good to hear things are going so well xxx
I just took a pic of Katie, the way she sleeps now, Ive removed blankets as they just dont stay on, OR rather that she doesnt stay under them for long lol

There some more new ones on the album as well to see.
Also! I said before how she can fluke some shape-o shapes in, so I grabbed this house with the same thing, you can see her try one hole and doesnt fit so trys another till it falls through and out the door. Theyre zoo animals with shapes on the bottom.

Hi guys
Once again it is ages since i posted last. I am now working 4 days a week and have joined the gym. So going between the two and looking after the boys and house i am pretty flat out.
Matthew is almost 11 months old. Wow how the time has flown. I still remember this time last year, complainig how hot and uncomfortable i was and having the trip to the hospital thinking i was in labour early again.
Matt now has 8 teeth and weighs about 10kg. He eats like a horse and has suddenly discovered how to yell at the top of his lungs. Great fun listening to it while doing the groceries.
He is still crawling, but does alot of standing on his own, so not far of walking..
I decided a week ago that enough was enough with his waking in the middle of the night, and have done control crying with him since wednesday. Suprisingly it has gone really well. He used to wake a couple of times a night and i would give him a bottle just so i could get back to bed quicker. Now if he wakes i go in make sure he is ok, give him a quick pat on the back and say 'you are ok Matt, it is still nite nite time, I will see you in the morning. Love you. And then i walk out of the room, shut his door and my door.
He usually has a scream for a bit, but then settles himself back to sleep and doesnt' wake again till morning. God why didn't i do this earlier.:banghead:
Here are a couple of recent pics

OMG another one up the duff! Whats with the water! Congrats! Im glad you get to plan the homebirth you wanted.
If i ever do it again i think i will go for a homebirth, although im considering either abstinence forever, which isn't sustainable or a hysterectomy but im only 23 so they prob wont give me one!
Bother, Tom just decided to wake up.
Hope your all good, will do more when he goes to bed.

started buying Clea chrissy and b'day presetns on ebay. We are giving her a dolls wagon for her b'day. I cant describe this, it is really a german thing I think. I think she will like putting toys in it since she has started pushing the chairs around! http://www.preissuchmaschine.de/psm_frontend/main.asp?produkt=417410 we are not buying it from this site, I bought one for less than half price on ebay. If its a bit scatched I will paint it.

DRAGONFLYBLUso far so good with the chrissy tree. He just sits and stares at it, won't be long before he pull something off though. I have put it in a room that we don't use all the time and i can block it of with a baby gate if needed.
So far ive had more trouble stopping Luke from pulling things off and bouncing the baubles around the room.:banghead:
Well not much happening here today. Luke had a gastro bug over the weekend so we might stay in and do some cleaning. :smiliedance:
Also forgot to congratluate all the newly preggers in my last post. I would really like to go for number three but think i will wait till Luke is in school atleast. 3 at home all the time, man i aint that crazy.
Anyhoo hope everyone has a good day.:sunshine:

Busy w/e with dd1 having a friend to sllep over friday night, dh having friends sleep over sat night, then a trip to Sydney yesterday to see my aunty and cousins. Quite full on really.
Bridget stayed home with her dad yesterday and dd1 and i went to Sydney- we took some furniture down for my cousin we were getting rid of. There was no room in the car but I had a nice day with dd1- have not done that since before Bridget was born.
Better scoot and get ready for the day.

Hi Everyone,
Congratulations to those that are pregnant, i'm still abit undecided if i will have another, if i do there will be a much bigger age gap so maybe when Kaylee is 2 or 3.
Tabby - Katie looks so peaceful in that pic, she wouldn't get too bored in her cot with all the toys. Maddy couldn't do what Katie did with those shapes till she was about 18 months, very clever.
Lukeandmattsmum - Cute pics of Matt, is he walking yet? if he's not doesn't look like he's too far off it.
Aries_moon - I loved your pics, i've nver seen snow IRL it's one thing i've always wanted to do.
We took the girls to get their picture taken with Santa yesterday. Maddy got abit scared so Blake and i had to sit with them haha, at least we have nice family shot of us and Santa haha. We also went to Carols by Candelight that they had up here which was really good, it was the first time we have been. Kaylee got pretty tired and cranky after abit so we didn't stay long. I took a couple of pictures on my phone so there not that good.

Caitlin at 11 months (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=18093&l=725da&id=819459250)
Anyway somewhere in there is Caitlin's "altercation" with Santa - not too impressed!!!!
Another pregnancy!! Congratulations Korah :)
dragonfly - cool wagon!!! I love ebay - so addictive. I wish I had the money to bid!
lukeandmatt's mum - glad the sleeping has improved. That must be a huge relief for you!
going to sleep wtih bottle: arghhhh... I have been very naughty!!! It's so easy tho - you just stick her in the cot with a btotle and you don't hear from her for a couple of hours!! naughty.
Tabby
03-12-2007, 11:28 AM
Cordelia: I dont think its naughty what so ever! Ive done it with both boys and now with Katie for about the last 2 months, I listen to her over the monitor while she drinks it and until asleep. Some will say otherwise but thats just like everything else, no matter how we do it....
Anyhow! Makes life just that much easier.
LOL @ santa, ds1 was fine, ds2 wouldnt have a bar of him, I think K might be okay...Will let you know hehe
Beautiful pics everyone!!! Love looking at them.
Aries! Envy here! never seen snow but always wanted to, it looks lovely.
Just a fairly quick one, still snowed under here with school work!!! I truly cant wait for it to be over, Katie just takes up so much more time it leaves little "peace and quiet" to setup and monitor ds2.
1 more sleep till get my engagement ring!!!! :smiliedance:
( she did say might be so LATE tues so end up Wed) but if I have 10 mins till shop close to get it I will LOL
back later tonight catch up more when Katies asleep xx

Hi Ladies,
I hope you all had a great weekend.
Aries – Those snow pics are beautiful. You’re going to have a lovely white christmas this year. Lucky duck!!!!.
Maddy&kayleesmum – Where did they have the carols by candlelight? We were posted to Darwin (late October) but the usual Defence thing happened. Our posting was changed at the last minute. So now were are in Perth, not that we are complaining lol. We are loving Perth. I’m soooo hanging out to get to the wineries over here.
Cordelia - I don’t think it’s naughty either. If I could do that with Talon I would lol. I give Talon a bottle while lying on my lap, after that bottle he knows its nap time and goes down without a fight.
Us – Not much is happening here. I’m having a lazy day today. I’m so exhausted it’s not funny. Cooking dinner in the slow cooker. Did it while T was having his morning nap so all I have to do later is put some rice on and then serve it up. Hubby and I are taking T to see Santa tomorrow. it will be interesting to see how he will go.
Don't know what else I was going to say. I better go and see what my son is into. He’s to quiet for me. One thing for sure he moves very quickly these days . Hard for me to keep up with him at times lol.
Take care
Kel

The news with hubby went down well, he is rather chuffed albeit a bit suprised ie 'how did that happen, we havent done it that much?'
I have told 2 girls at work today [one who is pregnant also and my cousin] Not telling any other family yet, will save it for a nice xmas present. Unless of course hubby blabs it first.
Tabby - how excited must you be? Cant wait to see pics!!
Where is everyone putting up their :tree: I dont want to have it on the ground as I know Macy will pull the ornaments off and try to climb it. But then again I dont really want to stick it up on the coffee table either
Hmm not much else to report here, have a good week everyone
I'm trying to work out the best place for a christmas tree. I was going to get a mesh sided playpen to put around it, then I priced them at $150 and realised that I'd have to make do without. I might put it in the rumpus room, where he was rarely allowed to play, rather than the lounge room, but it means I don't get to enjoy the tree. I remember stressing out last christmas cause I didn't think I'd be able to have a christmas tree with a 1 year old and everyone told me I was being stupid and I'd just have to make sure the ornaments were plastic and not low on the tree and it would be fine. Yeah right! If he was able to touch the tree (even one branch) he'd pull the whole thing down in probably less than 5 seconds!
The rain here today has been very heavy. We've had 25mm, such a pity our water tank isn't connected yet - it would be full now if it was. I parked about 50 - 100m from the house for mothers group today and thought we'd be ok without an umbrella. Woops! I was there for well over an hour more than I planned cause it just kept raining and really heavy rain, with lightning and thunder. It didn't bother josh at all - he fell asleep as soon as we got home, right in the middle of yet another storm.
Where are people getting santa photos done? I priced them at myer and they START at $25! And in the local shopping centre they also start at $20. I saw the ad for Harvey Norman and they were free or cheap or whatever, but I wasn't sure if millions of people go ... has anyone tried them?

We are going to Melbourne for Christmas this year so we won't need to put our tree up this year. I remember stressing about it last year when Maddy was only little about 13 months, i eneded up just buying a little 30cm tree and put it on our kitchen bench. Next year both the girls should be old enough to know not to pull at the tree :fingerscrossed: and i'll be able to put it up.
We got our Santa photo's done at our local shopping center. The package we got cost about $30 and it included 4 large photos, 4 small photos (normal size), 4 wallet size and 2 key rings. Sorry don't know the exact sizes of the photos.
Strawberry_Shortcake - They had the Carols at the botanic gardens, it's right across from where the mindil beach markets are held if you have heard of them. My DH is in defence too so yeah i know how they can change everything on ya at the last minute. I've been in Darwin almost my whole life so i'm ok with being here haha. Would be nice for a change but that won't be for awhile yet as DH's next posting is for Darwin again.
Korahblue - What a great Chrissy presant, my Dh reacted abit the same when i told him i was pregnant with Kaylee. He was like "but we have just had a baby" mind you Maddy was nearly 8 months when i found out.
Well better get back to my assignment it's due tomorrow and i still have so much to do on it. The kids climbing all over me isn't really helping lol but Blake should be home very soon now.

I put the tree up last week, in the dining room.
Katie has been wonderful with it!!! She doesnt crawl far so hasnt bothered going out of her way to get there and when in the walker she just touches the balls and things and examines them..
Lucky or what!!
Even the pressies are under it and shes not bothered! or given them a 2nd thought.
We got chaser lights last week for her, added them to the front of the house, she loves them of course.
Back to the school work! hmm wheres the angry brick wall emoticon gone :( I need it lol

We put out xmas tree up yesterday and T hasn’t be bothered going over to touch it. Talon looks at it but that’s about it. He hasn’t even touched the chrissy presents under the tree, which surprises me as there's heaps under there.
Having some really bad braxton hicks today. I can't even lye down, my back is sore when I do. Anyway T's awake.

03-12-2007, 07:18 PM
we bought a small potted tree so it is on the windowsill.
All is well with us. Clea is such a little cutey, laughing at everything, and having tantrums whenever she cant get something. But I feel a bit morbid lately. I suppose i am homesick and a bit lonely. I keep busy, go to playgroup, meet people for coffee. But basically I am finding it harder to feel excited about things. Sorry this was a bit self-centred. I think I am also sleep deprived. Clea is still feeding alot at night and when i have my AF she feeds every 2 hours! I know she isnt hungry, I think she just loves the taste when i have AF. Well I am going to find things to perk me up. And I think I am going to try to start the bottle of water thing at night. 2 feeds are okay, but last night it was 6!from 8pm - 7pm, Clea is happy but I am tired... :gloomy:

The :tree: has been up for 8 days now and Bridget is not bothered by it either. She has taken one decoration off and I told her no and put it back on the tree. Dd1 has wrapped up some of our personal belongings and put under it as pressies and bridget has not touched them at all. Yes our personal belongings... I dont know what is wrapped up of mine- obviously have not needed it yet- thinking it is a pair of earings of mine???:raspberry:cheeky brat she is!!
dragonflyblu ... you sound like me a couple of weeks ago. It is the night time waking that really can depress your mood. Are you sure she isn't sick? Josh woke up 5 - 6 times a night when his ears were sore and milk was the only thing that would settle him. The good news is that now he's sleeping thru the night, or at least not needing a feed in the night for 50% of the last 2 weeks. It's a miracle and I didn't do the water thing, I just gave him time to get over his ears and reflux issues. So, hopefully you'll get some more sleep soon ... maybe you need to cut back on your outings and sleep while she sleeps during the day - that made me feel a lot better.
Karrina

Korah - congrats on the :bfp: how exciting is that?
In regards to the Christmas tree we have lounges set up sort of in the middle of the room (aligned with the walls) and the :tree: is in the corner - Billy has gotta go the 'long way around' to get there...I don't think he has even noticed it! Too busy playing with the screen door.
My daughter is away with her dad - it was so nice (but strange) to have Billy with me just for the weekend. Very quiet without Imani around although I am a bit worried about all the attention he has been getting - he is turning into a sook who just wants mummy to sit and play with him 24/7
His favourite game is the song 'The grand old duke of yorke he had 10000 men he marched them up to the top of the hill and he marched them down again! And when they were up they were up! and when they were down they were down and when they were only half way up they were neither up or down!' He loves the actions of up and down as I throw him up and down...biggest giggles going!

No Christmas tree to worry about here. We are not bothering as we are also going to Melbourne for xmas. My parents house is so cluttered that I think their xmas teee is going to be the least of my worries but at least Cameron will have extra sets of eyes watching him.
Next year we've decided we're having our own xmas at home. After being posted all over the country (yep, another army DH!) and always travelling at xmas can think of nothing nicer than just staying put and relaxing for a change.
Cordelia
04-12-2007, 08:18 AM
karrina - caitlin loves that song as well :P she starts laughing when I sing "the grand old duke of york" in anticipation!
there is no way that caitlin will stay away from the christmas tree. We don't use our playpen much anymore so was thinking i'd put it in that! So excited - going to get out all the christmas lights today. (after i've finished cleaning windows :( )
Strwaberry - hope you have a better day today
mim - caitlin's santa photo was at playgroup. I'm sure santa's will be coming out in force at shopping centres very soon! (If not already). I heard there was a huge wait for the free harvey norman ones.

She did go to bed a little later as her arvo nap was late but only 830 and not 730 bedtime, usually doesnt affect how long she sleeps morning regardless.
One can only hope there is more of that to come lol.

Oh wow tabby the ring, cant wait to see it- how exciting!!!! What a great sleep from katie, how lovely.
Quite tired today, had an unsettled night with Bridget. She was tired at 6pm so we put her down.... wrong move. She was awake at 10:30pm and did not want to settle after that, was quite tiring. At 12:30am I looked at the clock and thought OMG I have to get up and get ready for work in 6 hours!!!
Better go, dd1 is going to the movies tonight with my mum to see Fred Clause and I have to decide if I want to make an appearance at presentation night at school.
yeah tabby, can't wait to see the ring!! katie will be crawling in no time. I couldn't believe how quickly josh went from nearly crawling to really crawling.
thanks for all your christmas tree stories ... will try and work out the best place to put it after discussion with dh tonight.
had a paed appt for josh this morning and got lots of stuff sorted out. Quick summary is that josh is on zantac and demazin indefinitely to cover his reflux and ear issues (he had fluid in his ears again today). He needs a hearing test in a few weeks to see how his hearing is going. When I wean him the paed recommended soy formula, which might help his ezcema.
So, I tried soy formula this afternoon. I tried everything to make him take ANY formula but the little rascal just kept spitting it back at me. I tried warm, cool, in a bottle, in a normal cup, in a sippy cup, in a syringe. Nup, he spat it ALL out! Then 1/2 hour later he did a decent vomit too! His first decent vomit in months. Of course, he waited til I had changed him out of his formula covered clothes to vomit didn't he? I'm going to try the bottle in the middle of the night as Karrina suggested, but I don't hold out much hope. The paed joked that he might still be on breastmilk when I go back to work and still wanting 3 feeds a day, but he'll just have them at 6am, 10pm and midnight. NO WAY! At least, I hope not.

Clea slept a bit more last night. only woke 3 times. only! yesterday i started my sleeps during the day thing. i am really overtired and i dont have anyone to take bubs, so need to try to rest when she does. DH is trying, but he doesnt cope very well when i am down. he works long hours and does lots around the house but also wants me to be happy and energetic. the good news is that mil is coming to europe in feb. so i have the option of goinmg to dh family home in slovakia for a break. nothing better than a house full of women to give me a break.

Hi all,
Sorry I've been MIA. MG night out last Fri night was huge - my first hangover in almost 3yrs.
I'm making another cake - my 1st paid gig for a Baptism cake. Busy, busy, busy!!!
Mim, glad you had a good experience at paed - does Josh eat much dairy? Clinic nurse told me not to stress too much about milk anymore - thank goodness!
Tabby, You have great taste, lovely timeless design - can't go wrong (did you know I used to be a jeweller?)
Liviesmum, hope you get some rest hun.
You too DFB, enjoy the family help!
Cordelia, loved the Xmas photos!
M is a little handful. Into everything - yesterday managed to pull the xmas fisher price train set off the coffee table onto himself (lucky it's light) This morning got into DS1's room and pulled folded up high chair over onto himself (not hurt at all thank G) He has also gotten out of the walker again - I watched him do it this time (walker has since been passed on)

Morning all and thankyou!
DFB: How cute!! must be all her hair Clea likes
Mim: My I sympathise with you there!! I have degenerative disc disease in my spine and if I go to bed early there is a limit to how long I can "sleep in" too!! very annoying isnt it? AM up now for exactly that reason even though Katies still asleep!
Have you got back troubles in gerenal or something underlying that causes it? Sorry if thats too perosnal, you dont have to say :hugs:
Strawberry: Feeling okay lately? :hugs:
Sammy: Originally I had chosen one with cluster diamond centre and then along the sides some more. never dreamed that when she said " I know you said you like others but just try this one you never know and its on special. The second I put it on even DF said that was the one.
Hard to tell pic, its 1/2 carat princess cut diamond all on its own. Easy to match a wedding band hehe
Oh! Is it the animal train????? Because thats Katies xmas pressie too. DS2 has another carriage for his pressie to her.
Had to giggle at Michaels mischief, hehe
He looks an absolute angel in the pic, no way he would do all that?? !!!
Mum and dads inheritance FINALLY came through so off to toysrus Tuesday with Mum to get Katies xmas pressie hehe.
Visited Mum and Dad last night, needless to say they were chuffed and very surprised, the daughter who was always hard to tie down is finally settling down, Mum says she can rest easy now knowing im so loved and well looked after..
Will tell iL's on Saturday, have to go to Gingin for that so during week not a option.
The boys were happy about it too.
A relaxing day today for me...being school teacher is OVER YAY!! I need a chill day.
Sit back, play with Katie and admire my ring in between Hahaha

Tabby, Yay for no more teaching! Enjoy spreading your good news. Solitaires are much better for longevity - not too many claws to watch. Tip, have it cleaned and checked once a year just before anniversary so you don't forget and it looks beautiful on that special day (allow 2 weeks in case it needs work done). If you ever knock it hard get it checked pronto too! Not very romantic but rings are like cars and need regular servicing! Sorry for rant - I have done that spiel millions of times!
The train is a Santa Little People set - will take a pic and post. A couple of years ago I bought a few sets on ebay and get a new one out each year. We now have the Nativity scene, Santa with Sleigh and Reindeer and this years Train. Both boys can play with them and leave my little tree with my collectible teddy ornaments alone (it's perched safely up high) I can't fit all my deccies on a little tree - will have to wait till we have bigger boys and a bigger place to get the big tree out again!

HI everyone
Tabby - The ring is gorgeous, i LOVE diamonds, i made sure i got then in my wedding band aswell  Congrats again!
Havent really read thru the posts lately... been really busy. Had lots to do. DD1 had orientation day at school yesterday so that was an experience. She met her teacher & her class for next year. She has 4 of her kinder friends in her class so its worked out really well & shes very happy & excited. Picked up her uniform too but of course its huge. Might try & exchange the school dress instead of getting the taken in & up. Still looks cute on but its just huge
Sierra has finally cut that 4th tooth & is finally decided that chunkier food is ok now lol. Probably just easier now that she has a few teeth. She has taken two steps by herself but is still really cautious & just decides to crawl instead. If we hold out our hands to her she will just squat down & start crawling... cheeky baby.
Not much else happening here really... nothing exciting anyway lol.
Have a great day!

It sounds gorgeous!! Your whole setup sounds beautiful!
Great idea to help leave yours alone too.
Oh and it came with a yearly clean and checkup free for life! Its guaranteed for life as long as you do the yrly visit. So yep will take advantage of that. Thanks for the tips xx
tiredmummy: yep already looking at bands and with little diamonds in it LOL, poor df can feel his wallet scream from here.
Awwww the first try on of school uniform...how cute. Dont they look just adorable even though its so big they almost swim in it hehe

I was half way through a post last night when Macy decided to come and press the power button for the computer :hair:- her new favourite toy. I think she knows it takes all the attention away from her and she wants it back hahahhaa
I love your ring Tabby!! It is simple and gorgeous, the way I like things. You must be on :cloud9:
One of the girls at work here got engaged on the weekend and she has been flashing around this huge yellow 1.3c diamond with small diamonds around the band. personally i think it is awful, but each to their own hey

Korah: Yep I do like things simple yet beautiful too, the same as my wedding will be.
ARGH why the hell do I go to CHN even visiting ones at local chemist!! I never learn.
I spotted the chemist chn doing weigh ins and thought would just see, yes shes 11.8 kilo and I got the "hmm she is on the big side isnt she, should cut her bottles down soon as shes 12 months!" then proceeded to lecture on over weight etc.
* insert really really! bad words here * as I stormed off..give me a break! stupid cow..sorry lol just had to get that out especially after that other episode re: weight.
Guess Ill weigh her standard scales now she can sit etc anyhow, would work the same???
We also took a peek at Santa to see if she would like him and he came out of the chair to meet her while she watched and she was fine!! Tried to touch his beard and fur trims on coat etc, so will dress her on Friday for some pics.
start at $8 for a 6x4 and ready in 30 mins.

Karrina....great to hear you are still around and doing well
Cordelia...Hmmmm Christmas lights. If you're like me, you'll end up wiht more lights than you'll ever put up at any one time. I've been banned from buying any lights this year:tongue:.
Korah...congrats on the BFP
Aries.....Brrrrrrrrrr is all I can say about snow.
Sammy....LOL at the hangover. It's been 4.5 years for me, but this years Christmas party might be it. DH is home this year, so he can look after the kids if I'm :dizzy:. We've got the LP Christmas train which I bought last year, and this year I got the sleigh and reindeer.
Christmas tree...we put it up the day after flying home from holidays as I couldn't wait any longer. TJ would destroy the tree given half a chance. I've got it in the front room (where she can't go). On the weekend we went to my sisters whose tree was in the general living area, I could'nt keep TJ away from it. So my sisters lovely (looks like it comes out of a magazine) tree was a bit rearranged by the time we left.
Started wrapping pressies last night, and will have to start writting cards tonight. Tried to get a photo of the two girls yesterday to put into the cards. Spent half and hour arguing with them and trying to get them sitting together and looking at me. In the end the first photo I took was the best:hair:.
Warning to those giving framed photo's of kids as pressies - keep it small. (dreaded) SIL gave us a large photo of her two in a black frame for Christmas. (a) it's bigger than any of the photo's I've got of the girls (b) the black frame doesn't fit in with any of our timber frames.
Had better go and at least look like I'm working.
:noel:Have PM'd Perthies about Christmas, if I've missed you or you want to join in, PM me.

MOUSEBROWN - im with you on the photos of kids for pressies. My sons aunty used to give me photos of her kids ALL the time and then want to see them up around my house!! That was just assuming far too much on her behalf. I think its something that the oldies like though
I have to start wrapping presents and all that aswell.
We've decided not to put our xmas tree up as we are going to mums anyway. Im almost feeling a bit anti-xmas as I told the girls at work I didnt want any decorations on my desk. Im just over clutter at the moment
Just a quick post to say that Josh endured this Christmas photo shoot with me this morning. I set up a 'studio' in his playpen and went nuts. He was quite tired and a bit grumpy, but I got some good shots anyway ... the one in my avatar is one of the best. Better go, he's destroying the 'studio'!
Cordelia

mim - awesome!!! That's a great job! Good idea doing it in the playpen like that too.. might give it a go. Tried some santa hat photos of caitlin yesterday - really don't have my camera/lighting worked out but these are the best:
Caitlin with Christmas Hat (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=19840&l=4cc3f&id=819459250)
Photos for presents - heck, I don't care what they do with the photos - if it saves me spending heaps of $$ on them then they can hide them away!! Actually, for nanna's I'm making a calender with blank spots for me to send them a photo of caitlin each month. They'll take it and love it!!
Beautiful ring Tabby! Much like mine!! (until i threw it out with the rubbish by accident a year ago :( )
This time of year is bringing back so many memories of last year and my late pregnancy. Remembering going for a walk the night b4 i went to hospital and getting a terrible pain and having to sit outside this house lighted up with christmas lights. I can't stand this house - they have dora the explorer and bob the builder in the front yard - that's not christmas!!! I felt like yelling out "I'm not admiring your lights! I'm 8 months pregnant and physically unable to walk past your awful display at the present moment".
Is anyone finding sleeps at the moment really annoying? She sleeps for an hour and a half in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon and it's so boring! I want to go out and play.... stuck in the house... if I woke her up and took her out she'd just grump it out. siiiiiigggghhhhh

Great photos MIM and Cordelia- so cute. I need to get some xmasy ones of Bridget- I said to dh the other day- I have not taken one of her near the tree yet!!
Lovely ring tabby- I do love a princess cut. I told dh I will upgrade one day- not to be mean to him but we got what we could afford at the time- and the set looks lovely but i really like the princess cut... thats all!
Have not seen santa in the shopping centre yet- hope he is coming! Was going to go for photos tomorrow possibly. Bridget is loving her advent chocolate calendar- I know it is a bit naughty but dd1 has one and you cant put anything past Bridget that she does not want the same too- she will chuck a big patty if she thinks she is missing out:crying:
Day off tomorrow- Woohoo:smiliedance: not long til holidays!!

liviesmum : Sounds like a good idea for a anniversary present to me. hehe
Cordelia: Love the pics! Especially the finger in mouth one.
Katies sleeps are quite long of late, yes most boring! Am now contemplating returning to work for a few hrs a week to help with more $ and I feel bored!!!
Sorry to hear you lost yours :(
Hi Mouse! Looking forward to next week :hugs:
Mim: The avatar looks wonderful!
Korah: I contemplated the no xmas tree here too but just couldnt resist it. Though while putting it up im thinking what a hassle and WHY did I do it!? but done now and all looks good, though one side where Katie re-arranges things looks a bit messy.
We have rain here and quite a bit!!! Even looks like a horrid blowy winters day..
There is no way I could let Josh get near a :tree: . I set up the photo shoot by using a 2m length of curtain backing/blockout fabric that I had put loops on the top of, so that it can hang over a rod. It has been used as a projector screen in the past. Anyway, the looped bit went over a wooden rod and went down between the playpen and the wall. Josh pulled it up and then almost got the fabric off the rod completely!
Did I tell you that he pulled a drawer down the other day? He was playing in his portacot and reached over the edge and pulled a heavy wooden drawer full of clothes off some chairs. It was at least 30cm away from the edge of his portacot and we thought, out of his reach. Thankfully dh got to the drawer and him before there was complete disaster.
cordelia ... they are cute pics. I got very few pics of josh with his hat on, he pulled it off in milliseconds, so I know you've done a good job!
I can't get josh to sleep enough! He's having 2 45 minute naps most days, sometimes he has a third and sometimes he'll sleep for 2 hours instead of 45 minutes. My house is a mess, I've got a million (seems like it) Christmas presents to make and I have a huge list of 'things to do' before I go back to work (most of that stuff was on my 'things to do once I finish work before I have a baby' list though) :( I'm hanging out for him to sleep. When he's up he's usually up for 3 or more hours, so if we need to go out I now feel like we can go out any time for as long as we need. Isn't it strange how all babies are different?
Charis

Hiya all!! Lovely ladies all!
I have a huge list of 'things to do' before I go back to work (most of that stuff was on my 'things to do once I finish work before I have a baby' list though)
Had to reply to that Mim1. For sure!!!! Yes am sure its like this for all of us now, the memories of this time last year. When it was all becoming very real. I'd just moved the office home had morn-night meetings, eckk and it sure was HOT and was embarking on the enormous floor painting adventure..and my list of work to finish and to finish when I finish work was immense..he he and yes, is still in use.
As for breastfeeding, many do do that morning and dinner time feed well into the 12-18month time I think. Hope it goes all well for you.
Would like to put my hand up for the 'house a mess and never bored' here. Hang out for his sleeps, which now, thankfully are pretty regular.
Love the thought process for the exhausted hot pregnant you Cordelia when faced with blinking 'dora the dinosaur' lights.
Tabby beautiful ring!!! And beautiful meaning attached to it, must be wonderful everytime you feel it or see it. v special!
Looking forward to seeing all the Perthies on Tues. YAH.
Thanks for all the :tree: :tree: :tree: stories. And Santa photos. V funny to read. xx S

Hi all..
not sure about this pregnancy.. had to go to drs with bleeding and am having hcg tests every second day to see if hormones are rising. Hvaing scan next week to hopefully see heartbeat.. so I hope it sticks.
If it doesn't, will just have to try again soon.. as hubby would love the "trying part" and his response was similar to Korah's dhs response "how did that happen".. but he is very excited and has his fingers crossed with me..

TJ fits this pattern. When I want her to sleep (things to do) she has a nap and when I don't mind either ways she has a huge sleep.
Not a good night last night. TJ was up twice and DD1 decided to wake ast 2.
Still trying to get some recent photo's of the girls uploaded, my machine at work isn't behaving today.
Found out last night DH flies out Boxing morning (5am) rather than Christmas morning. Which means he gets to spend Christmas day with us and see the girls open their presents.

Wild, i really hope all is well and that this bubba sticks. Your dh can get plenty of practice 'softening your cervix' if it does!
Gorgeous ring Tabby. Its so nice that you have found 'the one'. I really hope you get pg again soon.
Tom pulled himself up onto the lounge for the first time. I was so excited so i squealed and that made im head bang so i had to quickly grab him! He is also getting onto all 4's and putting on hand infront of the other than just plonking down. I think he hasn't co ordinated the knees fully yet.
Well im pretty tired, i think im sick. everytime i eat i get a stabbing pain in my belly and want to :barf:. Tom slept great last night but i was up all night feeling yuck.
oOh the other night Tom stayed with his dad, and i missed him so much that i slept with his teddy...how pathetic is that?

thanks everyone..
I feel pregnant still and have these weird sensation sin my tummy like bubbles bursting so I am hoping that's a good sign. I haven't even had any pains in my tum so fingers crossed.
My dear little son decided to wake at 4.35am (that's all i needed). Especially since dh decided to get home late and in a very drunken state after a christmas party. he decided he would snore from teh time he crawled into bed until 4.35am. I think we can safely say he knows how I feel now.. it was all free alcohol at his party so he kinda got carried away. he went and bought me lunch to apologise..
To resettle, I have tried toys in the cot, I tried feeding him and putting him back down to see if he will sleep but it seems he wants to be awake. Next time I mightjust have to turn off the monitor as even going into settle him isn't working.. maybe I am not emotionally into the resettling at the moment. I can resettle at any other time but it seems like once he has woekn for the morning that's it!!
I will try again tomorrow but now I've vented he will probably sleep til 6. How do all you mums who have bubs that sleep til 7.30 do it... (its sad when we compare the issues we were having 6 mths ago to the issues we are having now eh...!!).
Sorry if I sound like an old whingey cow...
Thanks again for all the baby dust... I am crossing eveything for you Tabby (and for me as well...):hugs:
wild at heart ... :hugs: you needed to whinge, it's ok. We don't mind. When Josh does that waking up far too early thing and looks like he wants to play. I give up pretty early and let him play and usually within 1/2 hour he's yawning and ready for sleep again. It's much less stressful than spending that time unsuccessfully trying to resettle him. It is more likely to happen when he wants to do a poo too (sorry TMI), so that time up means he will eventually poo, then he'll be quite happy to sleep again.
Better go ...

hi everyone,
there was so much I was going to say but I've forgotten it all already! Lovely ring Tabby, I'm definitely crossing legs and all for you and ttcing - hope you enjoy it! Extra incentive now. DF will wish he'd gotten onto it sooner!!
I'm definitely in the SO relieved Hamish has two sleeps a day camp so I can get things done. I always seem to be busy and its mostly cleaning the kitchen floor, high chair, dishes etc. after one Hamish meal and preparing for the next. I'm getting a bit more relaxed about meals and better at quick and easy preparation. Have a few meals we can all eat together but still doing lots of separate meals. Mostly I just want to sit in front of the computer with a cuppa and have some me time!
:fingerscrossed: for you too wild at heart. Not sure how we get through to later in the morning but Hamish goes back to sleep after one feed at around 5am (give or take). I have only managed to get his sleep in good order through leaving him to settle himself. If I'm anywhere near (or anyone else) he won't go to sleep. At first he did lots of angry get me up crying but now he just chats away to himself until he goes to sleep. Not sure if that is of any help to you but 4.35 is definitely way to early!
Well I really came onto BH to let everyone know about our exciting few days. They included a new tooth (top right eye tooth), TWO steps unsupported, and his first sign (we're doing baby sign language). He got out a favourite book which has photos of puppies in it and did the dog sign without any prompting! I was so proud!! He seems to have had a quantum leap in his comprehension of the world and his place in it just over the past few days. Still only one word (a mangled version of 'teddy')...maybe he said 'daddy' as well (in context) the other day. But he understands so much. He gives me cuddles now if I ask for one....awwwwww....don't you just love them!
oh and Tabby, I really can't see that 11kg is all that big anyway? My friend's bub is 2 days older than Hamish and is 13kg and no-one seems concerned. She's so funny, we were out yesterday and she fell asleep while riding on her mum's shoulders! I wish Hamish would sleep that easily.
Anyway, I need to go to bed early for a change.
happy sleeping little bubbies so your mummies get nice sleepy nights too!!

mousebrown tats great that dh spends xmas with you.
tabby i was bored too! and overtired. i am sorting out the overtired and for the boredom... well i offered to babysit an 18months old boy today. it went great. he cried for about 20mins when mum left and then clea and him played for 3 hours! i was so entertained watching them. it was good for clea to have her first playdate at home. she shared well and tried to feed him toast.
acacia thats not pathetic! i would do the same.
wildatheartyou dont sound wingey, you just sound like a mum with a baby under 12 months old. it will pass, sleeping patterns change so quickly! for your dh for coming home drunk. i should add that like mim i dont try to resettle either. it just results in tears. i play and wait for a yawn and then quickly on the boob (clea feeds to sleep).
us - clea still doesnt sleep much. 1 day sleep most days. today she went from 7am to 2pm awake and playing. had 1 1/2 hours nap. i suppose this is all she needs, she isnt crying or cranky while awake. sometimes she gets clumsy when she is tired.
clea finds so much funny atm. she just giggles at things while she plays. it is hysterical.

Thanks for the empathy girls....im glad im not pathetic!
Tom is asleep on my lap. My mum has bought him a play pen, which im a bit excited about.I was hesitant at first but now im realising its only going to get harder to keep him out of things, and im pretty sick of having to put him in the pram everytime i go to the toilet!

Wild@Heart...:hugs: We had an early morning this morning too. TJ woke at 5 and didn't want to go back to sleep, most mornings she'll have a quick feed and resettle for and hour or so.
I've got my computer sorted again (it had changed IP address all by itself:confused:), so will try and get some new photo's up later.
Don't know if it's more teeth on the way, but TJ's been a grumpy B!tch for the past few days. :fingerscrossed: she's happier by Tuesday.
Tabby... Don't worry about K's weight. TJ wouldn't be too far of that, and I know TJ eats more than Katie. My Sister had DS (6 mths) weighed earlier in the week and he was 9.2 kg - he's almost the same size as TJ.
Good sleeps everyone,
Lisa
Tabby ... according to the growth chart I looked at (health.vic.gov.au - follow the child health record link) katie is somewhere around the 95th percentile. But, 5% of babies of her age are! That just means she is big, but it doesn't mean that's bad. You've explained her diet and it's probably less than most of our bubs, so she's just bigger than the others. It doesn't mean she'll always be that way. Don't worry and ignore the silly CHN. :hugs:

Thanks Mim & Mouse. Yes I ignored her comments but as you know they still get to you. Shes a beautiful healthy chubby girl and am sure if her energy levels are anything to go by, shes going to drop it when on her feet anyhow.
Katie didnt mind Santa but was not impressed one bit with the sitting on his knee and facing the camera bit! The face says it all lol
Couldnt get a smile off her no matter what, yet she was grinning away and chatting to Santa just moments before!
They a puzzling lot babies, makes you wonder what goes through their heads at times. Ive no idea what gave her that look, maybe because it wasn't big brother behind the flashy thing lol.

Mouse: hopefully is just teeth and they cut real soon for her. Our next lot aren't too far away either. Lots of grumpy sounds and attitude here too.
DFB: Quite often Katie only has one day nap too.
Now that she sleeps in so late shes no need for a morning one.
Oh last night while out we got one of those play mats, squares of rubber??.. Anyhow this one you can pull bits out like jigsaw, way too early for her but it was pretty lol, SO! I glued the bits in with a little tarzans grip lol
She loves it! and its a nice soft place to sit and play.

tabby we have those mats too. I opted to buy it instead of a rug (cold floors) because I thought it would be more fun, besides it was cheaper. Clea loves pulling it apart and easy to clean.
I am exhausted again today. Clea decided not to feed yesterday as she was having to much fun with the little boy I was minding and then we had an afernoon visitor, so she went 7 hours without booby! She was happy with solids and fennel tea all day. But boy did she make up for it last night. Suck, suck, suck all night long
not much sleep for me.

oooo we got the puppenwagon (wooden dolls wagon) it is so lovely. I couldnt help it I already gave it to Clea even though it is for her bday in 21 days! doesnt matter she has more pressies on the way.
she had been trying to open the box all morning and then silly me thought I could open it and have a peek. she is so funny with it. So serious pushing it around and even moving things out of the way so she can get past. She even moved a chair out of the way.:yelclap:
i will post some pics when i get batteries for my camera.

Also to send lots of :babydust2: to wild@heart, and hope all still going very well.
Excellent MouseBrown about the full family at home for Christmas. YAH
Katie and Santa is certainly a shot to keep!!
Well H climbed out of his (ikea)high chair and lay straddled across the adjacent table the last two mornings of course thats what harnesses are for...but I didn't expect he'd just start...I guess we never do. Its a good warning. But on much happier note, had UNINTERUPTED sleep till 6.30!! YAH Not even a de-wedge him from cot corner, or a sip of water..After morning feed and some songs and tickles he now gets down assisted from my futon and crawls in grobag out to the rest of the house. Tiny steps of independence. Oh must remember to buy an enjo grobag too. he heheh
Happy weekends girls!xx he he this is cute::raspberry:

DFB: How cute!!! cant wait to see the photos.
kewlchicmum: BIG congrats and a happy 8-9 months!!!
Was it a surprise or were yous actively ttc?
Charis: ah yes, no situations here without the harness's /straps anymore. They are just too quick now arent they, glad H didnt come to any harm. YAY for that lovely sleep, hope you get lots more.
I went to purchase a smaller pram, a sort of stroller but not the real thin compact ones if you know what I mean.
more something thats easier to fold and lighter than the steelcraft orbit one I have but still comfy etc.
Anyhow!! I chose one and when I got home it was the wrong one given to me.
This is a 3 wheeler, which I always said I hated lol .Purchased was a 4 wheeler, with canopy. the nifty ones you can fold up and sling over back of chair...
but I love it! and its not so much a stroller, more a small pram, so doesnt fold as I wanted, but it folds smaller than our other and easier! and about 1/3 of the weight, so decided to keep it hehe, oh and worth $70 more and has a nifty drink holder lol

Another win! Just got back from furniture shop, do yous remember when I got my new black lounge, well one of the recliners went back for repairs, long story short it got "lost" and when found and delivered it was 3 shades lighter, so left in the sun somewhere, not impressed I ring up and tell him so, he offers to find another..none...offers to replace whole lounge...none left no more stock of black...can have in light blue?? No I dont want light blue..the ending?..I got a dark blue but a nicer lounge..worth 300 more than we paid for other and sturdier.
Still wanted black but they had absolutely nothing in black in any suite.
ah well, got a nice new much sturdier lounge for the same cost..
Heres a pic of how it came back

Good evening everyone..
Yes the non-whinger has returned... YAY
Thansk for all the babydust and sympathy. I am feeling better and am having lots more pregnancy symptoms so fingers crossed everything is sticky!
Rang receptionist at GP (as dr away and she said I could get results over phone). Recptionist said that she could only read the notes that dr put on file. She said that dr wrote that my results were "no action", and that this means that "dr doesn't need to see you as everything is fine". What is that supposed to mean? Fine as in miscarriage or fine as in hcg levels rising? Who knows.. going to stop worrying about it as it will do my head in :banghead:. Wnyway having more bloods taken tomorrow (yeah having my blood taken is my new hobby...) and will ring on monday to get results from yesterdays blood test to see if it is atill "no action". Having scan on Thursday too.
Congratulations kewlchic on your bfp.. i did see you raise the issue on another thread.. well done.. hope you have processed it all and you are happywith the result.
tabby: you have been very lucky in the last few days- love the pram and the riung as well.. aah well.. as they say, good things come to those who wait.
Charis: gee hunter is a little monkey. don't you find your self shaking your head and wondering how he did this and that everyday. They are soo smart at waht they can figure out. their brains are just running on all cylinders and they learn so fast. Oh and what does "in a state of total shock mean"? Tell all, Tired mummy. I think I missed something too Tabby.
stop press- ANNOUNCEMENT: Alexander (aka lord of leisure) is crawling and already is into everything and is now pulling himself up to try to open door handles and is taking washing out of basket and opening drawers.. hmm.. yes all in 24 hrs.. SHEESH
nitey nite and have a restful sleep (including babies erm especially babies)

lol wild. yes they are learning so much so fast now!
Mum is always commenting on how Katie knows something new every time she sees her and thats about every 2nd day lol
Glad all seems well..Sounds like "no action" to me would be a good thing. Still :fingerscrossed: that alls well for you make sure stays that way xxx
Will have to uncross my legs now though..bd time! haha
Off out tomorrow for the xmas lunch river cruise courtesy of il's. Cant wait, Katie is going to love the boat/water/everything new as usual.
Took her for a stroll in our new pusher this eve, she was so happy, can see lots more and she was giggling and chatting away, pointing and talking at everything.
We have another word..She now says "look". Said it quite plainly to Mum as we hopped out of the car and she pointed at something telling Nanna to look.
This along with the whats that and whos that.
Last week at shopping Mum sat down with her and points to whoever next to her and cleary says "whos that". Not unexpected as whenever Daddy comes home as hes unlocking the door I always say " whos that" over and over.
There is another word in the making, last two days..It starts with a D but have no idea what it is as yet. sounds like doh but with a r.."dor".

Wild at heart - glad everything is ok. I hate trying to read medical jargon tho! "no action" - how stupid! Why can't they write "all good" or even better "GOLD STAR"....
Tabby - what a lot of new acquisitions - all look great. We're off to get a stroller. It's an outing for the in-laws - hopefully they'll pay lol.
Allright....
I have to tell you the most terrible, horrendous thing. This morning Caitlin woke up at 6:25 (normal) and we let her talk and stuff around for 5 minutes before going down to get her [normal]. anyway………. I walked in ….. and there was poo EVERYWHERE.. smeared all over cot. Over all the sheets and blankets…. All over her body… smeared all over her legs.. but the worst? All around her mouth because she’d been EATING IT. Ohhhhhhhhh… I still feel so nauseous…… we just chucked her straight in the bath. She had no idea – giggling and loving having a bath in the morning. Even ate most of her breakfast! :O (so we rationalised that she couldn’t have eaten TOO much poo to fit in her food).
.
Is the perth christmas meet this tuesday? Better get cracking at my dessert.... ...... ...... how many ppl are there mouse? I'll bring some coke too. (addicted atm)

Reminded me!! Have to buy ingredients and cook tomorrow night for it too.
We had a thunder chuck here 2 nights ago! She banged her head while asleep, cried and got very upset and the usual throwing up if too upset started, it was everywhere! DF came to my rescue on no1 and by no4 I was in just my bra and Katie was in the bath. As it was a few hrs after dinner and bottle it was rather ewwwwww!
ah the joys huh lol

sammy ... another fantastic cake. You REALLY should go into the cake making business.
tabby ... katie is so cute!
tiredmummy ... hope your family issues get better.
sorry for the quick post, but time is short at the moment. I'm still getting up to josh multiple times a night because of his ear trouble. this morning he refused breakfast ... well, he ate half a tub of apple puree, then spat it all out again, all over his outfit that he'd been in for less than 10 minutes. grrr! He was quite happy to drink milk though, despite it only being 4 hours since his last feed. He has done that before, but usually when he's got a sore throat or sore ears, so he's going to the doctor later today for a checkup.
he's getting closer to walking, he's now able to kneel up and he has stood up once or twice and he can stand unassisted for a few more milliseconds than last week.
better go ... got so much to do this week. :(

Sammy: Umm yes sound.. lol went to just watch something else and sound card not working..no wonder! DF to the rescue later to fix that.
lol dont they have the uncanny knowledge while sleeping on when to wake?!! Either just as your head hits the pillow or just as your about to "ahem" yaknow lol
I joke that when Katie yells out as we are getting cosy that that is her way of making sure shes forever the only baby in this house lol

HI everyone..
Yay.. I got a sleep in til 7.15- wow. Was I impressed or what? This pregnancy thing makes it tiring getting up before 5am, but he has been such a good boy. Maybe the crawling makes him tired!
Heard back from nurse at drs to clarify on the "no action" result and was told that my hcg levels were 2600 on 3rd and same on 5th, so we shall see what the story is when I get more bloods and a scan done on Thursday (which I am not looking forward to..). Anyway getting very sore bbs so hope thats a good sign.
Tabby- katie is the cutest... little girls are so nice to dress up. Gee if Alex was in that pram he'd manage to get arrowroot in his hair or something- he is a grot!
Still have more christmas shopping to do- haven't done much and the time is getting away!

Not nearly as cr@p as caitlin! Sorry i couldn't resist! My friend has a 4 year old and as soon as i told him i was pregnant all he could tell me was about 'poo art'. He even got me a 'poo scraper' at my baby shower! Im hoping the snappies keep Tom's nappy for a long time!
ANOTHER :bfp:....Madness! You girls need another hobby! Congrats, thats very exciting for you.
Wild, i hope everything goes really well on Thusday. Did the doc give you any indications? :babydust2:
Wow im exhausted. Its been a huge weekend. On saturday we went to a protest and Tom slpet for half of it and soaked it all up for the second half. Then i had a meeting on Sunday that went from 10am till 5pm:eek: It was manic, but Tom was so well behaved. I think he also provided some relief for everyone else, plus his other baby friend was there so they had fun together. Then today we did an action in Sydney about the logging of the riverina redgums and we had about 7 babaies dressed up as gum nut babies and us mums as trees, and a big banner drop...it was so great. I will post pics....or look in the sydney morning herald tomorrow there should be something in there. Anyway he was a complete angel today too. He is pulling himself up onto things now though, and its amazing how much stuff i have at his head height!
Ok im rambling, definate sign that i need sleep. Hope everyone is well.

oh!! hahaha Nothing like a holding a newborn little darling to get you all clucky again!
lol thanks for the crossing..best get it this go hadnt I or looks like ill lose you having everything crossed for me very soon.
tabby ... all the best for TTCing
newborns/TTCing/cluckiness ... I had a long cuddle with a little 3 month old girl last week and put her to sleep ... she slept in my arms for 40 minutes. It was beautiful. I love little babies, I feel like I never had one (Josh was 5kg by 4 weeks and 4kg at birth). I've been clucky all my life and it's no different now. Most people don't understand that for me clucky does not mean I want to TTC. With all of josh's health issues and the fact that I'm about to go back to work TTCing is not on the cards at the moment. I'd like to at least be stopped the overnight feeds before I even think about TTCing.
sammy ... you should do well in your business.
wild ... hope bub sticks really well!
kewlchic ... congrats!
acacia ... wow, you do have a busy life. how do you do it? josh wouldn't be happy with such a long day unless he could crawl, climb and make lots of noise all day.
josh has tonsillitis, poor baby. No wonder he's not himself and was spitting out all his food. he's now sound asleep, all dosed up on painkillers. if he's no better tomorrow night he gets to start antibiotics, but it's probably viral and so he should get better over the next couple of days.
BUT, he went up stairs for the first time tonight! He was SO proud of himself - he got up about 10 steps, before he saw grandpa through the rail and got distracted, wanting to come down again. We even got it on video ... dad was videoing at the time that josh decided to give climbing a go! the video is at dad's of course, so I can't upload it. :(

Wild at heart – Sending you lots of these:babydust2::babydust2:, hope all is well. Yay for little Alexander crawling.
Dfb – I love the puppenwagon you got Clea.
Sammy – That cake is awesome.
Tired*mummy :smiliedance: Sierra walking.
Kewlchic – Congrats on your bfp. Was wondering when you were going to tell us lol. I did read it in another thread.
Mouse – Thanks for organising the chrissy meet. Talon and I had a great time. It was great to finally meet the lovely Perth ladies. The food was awesome and it was good seeing all the bubs getting on so well with each other.
Liviesmum = Enjoy your next couple of days off.
Us – I was looking forward to a nana nap this afternoon when we got home from Mouse’s place but no such luck. T wouldn’t have a sleep. He’s still hypo after playing with those gorgeous Perth bubs. It shouldn’t be a problem getting him down to sleep tonight.
Anyway hubby is trying to sleep, he has another night shift tonight and Talon is trying to make as much noice as possible lol. Better go and see if he can play quietly hehe.. Yeah right but hey its worth a try.

Yes, a very BIG THANK YOU to MouseBrown, for hosting such a lovely morning and the very lovely pressie+recipes and so great to see all the beautiful bubs growing and growing. There were photos being taken LiviesMum..arh yes by MouseBrown, but she'll be at work next three days..v lovely to meet StrawbShortcake and Talon+his DSSister too. V amazing yummy food too!
Yes and Aries_moon we missed you both!!!! Besides hitting naughty keyboard keys what is the beautiful X up to?
Arh, sleeps. Tabby you're one lucky woman! H just about always has the start of his arvo sleep in the car, so no surprise he was off like a light, got home and my lovely charming Canberra residing friend who I haven't seen since he might have been a DP years ago was out the front EARLY! So transferred H successfully :smiliedance:, looked mournfully at the work I thought I'd sneak in..as well as a bit of time to myself and of course let him in..the next minute overtired little H AWAKE and cried and grizzled up and wouldn't got to sleep for just about for the next hr. Dropped off the minute friend left to the airport. Oh well. I guess the reality of bubs.
So a lot of empathy for StrawShortcake and Cordelia too!
One day I'll write a short post!
Tabby let us all know how it goes tomorrow! :fingerscrossed:
Mim1 Hope Josh is feeling and feeding better, poor little one. Love the stair climb adventure!
WOW, yes and DragonFlyBlu, your DHs work is amazing! The Production Art enormous scenes are just awesome. There was one with the amazing scale and grandeur similar to those Piranesi Carceri etchings, such enormity and awe. Wow. Does Clea get to see him work? Are you an artist too? Does the Production Art get used in films/TVCs? V impressive.
Also a g'day to Cheeki28 WHERE ARE YOU? and Sugar+Spice. Hope all going really well.
Happy Geoffrey celebration, I think this weekend Jacstar!!
Is it environmentally wasteful, but where do those 'fresh' :tree: s come from?? anyone?
xx night night.S
charis ... do you mean where do you buy a :tree: or where are the :tree: 's grown? There are Christmas tree farms where both occur, or else I've bought them from roadside sellers or coles. The roadside sales are usually only on weekends though which is annoying if you want to get one on a wednesday.
i'm getting sick of co-sleeping. I have no idea how anyone does it everynight. Josh has shared our bed for about 2 hours a night for the last 5 nights or so and I'm getting better at it, but I sleep so much better when he's in his cot. He's still sick, but not that miserable any more.
Yesterday mum was over here and she reached down to josh and got him standing up, then let go of him. He stood up for about 2 seconds on his own and then sat down and cried. Mum & I had cheered for him, so we couldn't work out why he cried ... then we realised. He had thought we were picking him up and he ended up sitting on the floor instead. Poor baby ... mum then picked him up and he was happy.

Hmmm i thought i posted pics on here yesterday...i guess i didnt. Anyway will do soon.
Mim i totally empathise. Im getting pretty sick of co-sleeping too, although my housemate made a good point this morning after hearing Tom scream his lungs out twice last night. She said that she can understand why Tom gets so mad having the person who gives him everything...ie me, next to him but ignoring him. It made sense. He doesn't whinge as much for his dad. So im still considering a cot. I also was pretty freaked out last night and thought, i should just walk away and get a drink for a minute, then realised i had no where safe tp put tom as the bed rails don 't go right to the end of the bed....another reason for a cot i reckon. Anyway big hugs, i hope you get more sleep soon. How is Josh going with his ears and everything?
Well Tom goes to his dad tonight, so im going out! I also have band practise and i had it yesterday too and it was so much fun to be back into aspects of my 'old' life. I love those moments where you can feel like there is more to you than a milk making, nappy changing machine!
The 10 till 5 meeting is not the norm! They happen once every 2 months. I am finding that Tom is happy to be in social situations, and i has friends helping me out, by taking him for a walk if he got bored and stuff. Plus no one minds the babies being there so thats cool. We are putting on a Climate change camp next July, so thats what it was about. Keeping busy keeps me sane i think. I suffer from depression so if im bored for too long i think about sad things too much. Tom goes to his dads for a lot of the time that i do meeting and stuff too. I have made it clear that after 6 i can't do meetings cos Tom just screams!
Wow ive babbled about me a bit...sorry.
xmas trees....well from an environmental perspective i think farmed pines are fine. The plastic trees are pretty energy intensive, and the farming of a monoculture has its issues, but its a lot better than cutting down a wild tree! Im sure there are plenty of farms around.

Hi everyone, sorry no personals...had such a busy week and can't remember where I left my brain.. but THANKS so much mouse for yesterday, was a great meet up even if we were late! Food was fab...specially Cordelia's amazing pavlova....
Well Hamish had eyes at half mast all the way down the freeway (first 20 mins of the journey), fell asleep for the next 20 mins and then woke up totally refreshed as soon as I pulled up at home. I was exhausted so put him, futilely, to bed. He chatted for about 40 mins though while I had a lay down! Had to get some rest cos we had mums' group girls night out - first time out like that in ages and was heaps of fun.
Well best get on with the day...H is asleep...oh and he had another tooth this morning! Left top eye so that's 6.

Acacia, I saw your beautiful gumnut bub on Facebook! Looks like a good day! I'm like you, need to keep busy and have some "me" stuff to keep me sane and makes me a happier, better mummy.
Perthies, like liviesmum I am jealous I can't be with you all too & love seeing pics so at least I can see what you all look like now! Looks like a lovely xmas celebration!
I had my 3rd and final big visit to the dentist yesterday, I was numb from the middle of my front lip to past my ear into my hair until well after dinner. As a result I bit my lip and it was very swollen last night. 2 panadeine forte and I feel much better today. The bills hurt though.
M's eye teeth are coming down further & further, he's my baby vampire - looks very cute! When they are a bit more prominent I will take pics

Sammy- Hope your mouth feels better soon- Dentists are expensively painful hey?
MIM and Acacia- Yep:iagree: the co-sleeping thing gets a bit much- I wish I had the energy to deal with Bridget in the middle of the night- so co-sleep it is atm.
Been out today for a spot of :xmas: shopping. I am so exhausted and did not even begin to tick off my list yet! Well maybe one can be wiped but still a pretty big list!
Bridget is sleeping, the first for today as she was awake throughout the shopping expidition- hope she is down a while- I need the break!

Thanks Gals! :hugs:
liviesmum: There is two main shifts one is 10.5 hrs other is 4.5. The 10 hr one isnt constant cleaning, in between planes you sit and chat!
There are 2 shifts. 330am - 8am. and Mum is going to come here at 6am (when DF leaves) until I get home at 815. NO need to even wake her.
The other is the 10+ hr shift, 330pm-2amish.
Mum will come here until DF home at 4pm and he will do the dinner/bath/bed routine himself.
There are days off ranging from 2-5 in a row so thats really great too.
Heh not bad aye, blitz the interview to get the job there and then  Feeling pretty chuffed with myself.
Just in time for crissy and ease those credit cards asap! :smiliedance:
Sammy: :hugs: Hope the soreness eases soon for you! Ouch on both counts, teeth and the bill!

Hi Everyone,
Tabby – Congrats on the job.
Jacstar – Happy Birthday Geoffrey.
No much to report here. We brought Talon a car bed a while back and today he decided to climb onto it and play with his lamp. The cheeky little bugger. So now he knows how to climb the lounge chair and his bed. Went groceries shopping this morning and now I’m soooo exhausted. I got dizzy while shopping, so that’s a good sign for me to start slowing down. Anyway I’ve got T in his cot, thought he would be ready for his arvo nap since he was cranky while shopping. But I’m guessing he’s not ready for a sleep just yet. I better go and attend to Master T.

Hi Ladies
Has taken me all day on and off to catch up with the posts of the last week or so.
Been busy busy moving house. I wish I could say never again but not likely seeing as DH is in the army. Never again voluntarily though! Hasn't been too bad really, just makes an already busy time of year seem even more hectic.
So no personals, just an update on us. Cameron is loving his new house, is crawling properly now for short distances before reverting to commando and LOVES opening our TV unit cupboards and pulling all his books out one by one. Also think the first 2 top teeth will be here soon. Visited Santa today but no smile for the camera. He wasn't upset, just staring at Santa very intently!
Gotta go cook Cameron's dinner. Have been feeding him too much jar & tin stuff while moving and need to restock my freezer.:chef:

I was going to type a whole lot of other stuff but the early pregnancy tiredness has definately kicked in, along with the nausea and occasional moments of dizziness and feeling shaky:dizzy:
so im off for some zzzzzzz's
enjoy the rest of the week girls

Thanks charis. No I am not an artist. Actually I was an admin manager at uni before bubs. Now I am looking into doing a law degree!! quite the opposite of DH. Clea looks at his pictures but she is still wanting to eat everything so no art for her yet.
mim1 We co-sleep fulltime. I get sick of it some nights when Clea is restless (like last night) and she wakes up every 2 hours and wants to attach to boob like a dummy. But most nights it is fine. We have a huge bed, this makes a difference. I am never going back to any bed smaller than king size! But like acacia I dont have a safe place to put Clea except in her stroller, but after being with a 15 months old the other day I realise it wont be long till she can get out of the belt!
tabby
congrats on getting the job.

Ahh i get sick of moving too. I keep telling myself its ending soon, but then we are making plans for the next move now! At least we dont move all of our stuff each time, which is good and bad. I am really over IKEA furniture.

Mim: ds 2 was such a sickly and clingy bub we co-selpt for 3 years! Not by choice thats for sure, really makes for a restless night with little one laying sideways and kicks in the head / chest / everywhere. Also I think we dont sleep as soundly due to the worry of rolling on them? Thats what I think I did anyway.
Hope Josh returns to better heath soon and into the cot for you :hugs:
Happy Birthday Geoffery!!
Cat: Hope you get a relaxing night and a chance to put your feet up.
Strawberry: uhoh! Now comes what I personally think is the worst part of progressing to toddler, the climbing but learning there is a way to sit so as not to fall off again lol.
Heart in mouth everytime!
Korah: Hope those preg symptoms are short lived and pass soon xx
DFB: So cute the running to cuddle with open arms. Cant wait to get that too!!
liviesmum: :fingerscrossed: Bridget stays cot for you and you get a good night sleep too
just a quick post ... josh is asleep in his cot. my cousin (15 years old) came over and helped out with josh today - she was great! It was only for a couple of hours but i got a heap done. he's still so clingy, but getting better.
we bought a king size bed nearly 2 weeks ago and it was meant to be delivered in a week ... still no word ... it would make co-sleeping easier. at the moment he has to sleep snuggled up to me (his back to my chest or his side to my chest) or else he'd be covered by pillows. i'm not going to make a fuss about the delayed delivery though cause dh has a big meeting here this weekend and i'd rather not have to do major furniture moves AND clean up the whole house in the space of 2 days.
really should go to bed while i can! sorry for no personals

Hi Everyone,
Just when I thought my day couldn’t get any more eventful.
Talon finally went down for a nap at 3ish. I had a pee stop before going to lye down and noticed I was spotting. So rang the hospital and they told me to come in and get checked out. The midwives were so lovely and caring. They put me on the fetal monitor to check bubs heart rate and if I was having any strong contractions ( which I knew I wasn’t). Thankfully no contractions and bubs heart rate was nice and strong. Waited until I saw the dr and he did an internal and notice my cervix was closed and no sight of bleed. So all good so far. Bub can’t come yet, he/she has to bake just a little bit more yet:laughing:.
Better go Talon isn’t feeling well so better go and give him some cuddle time.
Talk soon

Mim: How nice of your cousin, she sounds wonderful. Hope you get a great night.

Hi hi!!
Kel-StrawShorty, such a relief that everything fine and also so immanent. But you're right a bit more baking for bub to do. Goodness you've got a lot to handle all at once, but you seem really calm, which is a wonderful pregnant presence. Beautiful. All best for all those special little kicks going on night and day!
Mim1 lovely you had some of a break and Josh is a standing bub!!!! YAH YAH. All best for his health.
Freddie - Good on Hamish for bringing a whole new tooth out!!YAH YAH. Hope your girls night out went v well.
Gorgeous forest nymphs and gumnut babies Acacia, good on you, River Red Gums are the most beautiful trees, well in the NT, not here, good on you and Tom!
Also yes, agree about the pine farms, and the imbedded energy for the plastic..but something about growing and cutting down just for pleasure that is not great. Just cos we always had a stunted norfolk pine tree in a pot :xmastree:. And thanks Mim1, yes was after the purchase location, the bit about weekends is what got me, as yes, did want to buy a tree on a Wednesday lol!!
I like yr question though, it reminds me of a friends 4yrold asking his Dad when at the museum 'where the dinosaurs had gone', so a long and complex answer involving the dying out of the megafauna was met with a....'No they used to be on this floor!!!!'!!!
TABBY good on you!!!!!!! YAH YAH YAH for the job and for your Mum too. And Katie will miss you just a morning (not even) and one night. WOW. Great to be out there, yes the work away from home holiday.
Cat13 congrats on the move all done and hope all is being sorted. Lovely new place for C to explore!!
Well we went to a sport event this late arvo/eve and got home at 8.30! H was really happy for most of it and he treated the picnic after like a smorgasbord, I was happy as got a run in..and H was happy, oops wrong order, that comes first I know.
All the best to the co-sleepers, it is hard and hard to get out of. Both so wonderful with them close, but yep exhausting too. I understand missionaries now..expound expound..but one week and concerted consistent response each wake for that time and its cot all night now, I started on a weekend to be more rested and just gave them water in his cot and gently push him back down. It worked. Previously H was 3.30- co sleeper then a 1.30- co sleeper and the last straw for me was when he became a 11pm- co sleeper. But whatever works, and when they are 15yr olds out causing havoc we will wish we co-slept them and nurtured them longer.
:ecomcity:
Night night

Morning everyone,
I can't believe it's only 10am! I'm really getting into this whole cleaning thing - I used to stress about Caitlin getting in the way of the vaccuum... now she just holds on and enjoys the ride as I drag her around the house! Am thinking my wash-the-floor twice a week regime may have to change to a 3 weekly due to the state of her knees/feet - they're black within minutes. Surely we don't live that filthy!
Unfortunately she's figured the doggy door out :/ Poor old Ferris the Dog.... will have to keep the laundry closed now.
tabby - great about the job. I hope you don't get too tired! The $$ this time of year will be handy.
co-sleeping - i wish that was a solution for us. Altho Caitlin does sleep wonderfully now that she's figured out it is possible to sleep somewhere other than on/in my arms. So if she stirs, she just goes back to sleep rather than panic not being in my presence. It was painful getting there though.
Ooer - I sent my secret santa last week - hope the special "someone" has received it!! (can't say who)
Well, I'm off to the cake decorating shop to buy some 1st birthday cake supplies!!! Have borrowed a cupcake stand from a friend. Thanks to freddie for the kid-friendly cake. This is SORT OF my design (but mine is a lot prettier!.. and softer) [naturally] http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Flower-Power-Cupcakes/Detail.aspx

Strawberry- scary bleeding episode! Not the show obviously?
I booked into hospital today. Had a big talk about what to do if bubs is born at home after my 2 hr labour with Bridget. A v scary thought, lets hope I make it to hospital. Nearly had Bridget in the car in the ambulance bay!!
Not long to go- 12 weeks actually- 28 weeks today!:smiliedance:
Hope all is well, off to town for some shopping of the grocery kind!

Cordelia: Cute cakes! They are going to look just gorgeous.
Shop buy for us this year. Michaels` cafe here at the forum has the most adorable cakes and reasonable $ so am just grabbing one those day of Katie's.
Charis: Yep, cant wait to get started job, will be hard leaving her even for such short times but good for both me and her and the household income in the long run. hehe said to DF last night, think of how much we can spoil her now?!! LOL I got "the look".
Xmas tree places on the way Gingin, Have seen them at swan valley in between all the grape vines on the left hand side there was one.
Next year I was thinking might do the same, they smell so great too.
liviesmum: oh moving along now! 12 weeks to go! Hope all goes well and time for trip in there when the time comes.
Feeling very excited still, cant wait to start and more so that first pay check! We have been on the edge ever since he lost his job when Katie was just 6 weeks old. Never did get back on top really so as I am actually higher per hr than him but less hrs we will be almost doubling the pay! :smiliedance:
Spending in my head already!
so far I have the house carpeted and swings and cubby for Katie, new washing machine and freezer for me  HAHHAHA
Nope didnt forget DF, His answer to what do you need/want is always "nothing Im fine". Quite happy as long as fed and loved...but of course will buy him something nice anyhow!

Well nothing much happening here. I'm not too well. Woke up this morning with a cold (the girls have had it & Sierra still has it) but also feeling sick too. Thought it might be the start of gastro but thank goodness i was wrong. I threw up once but then felt a lot better so not sure why i felt sick... might just be stress. Still feeling abit yuk but mainly just because of the cold. Got DH to take the girls to kinder so at least i didnt have to get in the car.

Kewlchic- I had alot of mixed reactions about my pg being so close to Bridget, I mean, even I had mixed reactions. I suspected something last week- your questions were a little bit of a give away- even if you did not know yourself, it must have been known to your sub-conscious.
Had the dreaded nits to deal with today!!! Argh, they are horrible- caught it early though as Dd1's hair was not too bad. I check at least once a week though, but a very painful ordeal- esp as she has hair to her bum!!
Dinner is ready better scoot.

liviesmum ... WOW! those lights are seriously impressive! A tripod will help you get a better photo, if you don't have a tripod handy, you can always try the top of a wheelie bin :)
my cousin came for a few hours this afternoon and helped out again ! yeah! josh was brewing a cold earlier in the week and is still miserable from a runny nose and sore throat. I'm not 100% either and my dh is quite sick with a cold, so we're a great bunch right now.
tabby ... congrats on the job and it sounds like clothes shopping was fun!
sammy ... yeah, i have serious net withdrawal when i go away too, I don't know how we used to manage!

Katie is sick! Her first bad one. Started with sneezing and runny nose this arvo. Bed time she started throwing up, not her usual upset one, this was totally out of the blue. She calmed down and went back to bed, fell asleep to wake about half hr later crying. Have just got her back in there now. Her vomiting was so bad I was almost crying with her. yaknow the retching when theres nothing left but still goes on..:(
Suppose have been lucky..Till this she was only a slight head cold at 6 weeks..

charis thanks for the comments on dh artwork (ages ago i know but i am so muddleheaded lately) and yes he does feature films but mostly concepts for games. he hasnt done a tvc for ages.he works really hard long hours.
tabby be so careful with the vomiting. when clea had gastro she couldnt keep anything down for 6 hours and she was dehydrated and had a drip. happens so fast.
well clea has slept about 20 minutes since 7.30 this morning. it is 2.20pm now so :fingerscrossed::sleeping: this afternoon. she is sitting on my knee playing with her feet saying dadada. so cute.

Shes worse now kewlchicmum, A bad night from 1am - 3am, finally back to sleep but cried out a lot from then till 7am. Shes non stop runny nose and all choked up with what I think is a head cold so far. :fingerscrossed: thats all it is!
Although her cough sounds a bit chesty just now
No more vomiting so thats good.
DFB, yep have been giving constant water since
I was anyway with runny nose as well, they can also get dehydrated with that.
So sippy cup beside her and shes drinking heaps.
Hope Sierra has a lovely arvo nap. Become hard when they dont nap well, cranky by dinner time etc.
Dosed up with dimetap and now some nurofen & vics rub and back to bed..Not sure if she will sleep though, worth a try.
She has that face you get when all choked up head cold, heavy eyes etc. :(
Not used to seeing her unwell. Shes been very lucky till now. Am also hoping its just a bubby cold! I have training for that job on Tuesday so dont need a head cold!
As always she still tries to shine through aches and pains, happy moments with a grizzle in between.
Am hoping she will so can catch a bit more zzz's my self!

Tabby Poor lil muffin its not good when they are sick.:hugs:
tabby ... i hope katie improves quickly. i also hope that you don't get sick.
kewlchic ... how's lachlan?
dfb ... did clea eventually sleep? I hope it was a nice, long sleep! Hearing josh say dada still melts our hearts, especially in context :)
i think josh is over his cold, but i think a tooth is coming through. he wasn't keen on breast feeding today until i gave him nurofen, then he drank so much that he made himself sick (literally). silly me for giving him so much milk so close to lots of solids ... oh well, i won't make that mistake again! i do wish i could give solids and milk closer than 90 minutes apart, but if i do i end up with him chucking all over me and not able to go to sleep b/c of reflux pain. i had hoped that he might have grown out of it.
sorry for the whinge.
dh has his training day here for work today, but he was awake half the night feeling sick and hot and cold and generally miserable. So, my highly capable dh was useless today. Thankfully, the other person helping run the day took over the running of the training and I took over the organising of the room and the food. We ended up catering for 25 people, a few more than dh had said to expect. Good thing we had left over frozen food from josh's dedication - they ate it all! josh wasn't bothered by the people, he was great - he slept while I prepared and served lunch and then went to sleep again before they all left. They were all in the rumpus room at the back of the house which has a separate entry, which was great cause I even got to go to bed for a rest before they all left.
i'm procrastinating writing my christmas cards, so i should go.

Oh Mim! Have just come to the conclusion here of nurofen followed too closely by milk = vomit big time! Just finished cleaning it up here again!
I dosed her up for the night then gave bottle and same scenario as last night, yet she was fine all day as the nurofen wasn't preceding milk so closely during the day.
Might be the same for Josh, maybe reflux babies cant handle it for some reason ??..Just a thought seeing both are reflux and same thing has happened..
Am going to trial it by not giving her any and just her milk now her tummys empty.
The head cold seems a bit better, i dont think it will be too nasty a cold.
Glad the start to the day had a better ending re: dh unwell but things turning out okay! Yay for Josh sleeping so well through it too.
Thanks kewlchicmum :D, just waiting on her to go to sleep then I think a early one for me too.
So not used to this, have been ever so spoilt with her sleeping.
Good sleep to all

Mim1 I think he is getting better which is good he fell asleep tonight before I could give him his dinner so had to wake him and give him a bottle he only just drank that.
Question are there many people here that have bubs close together? Reason I am asking is cause my DS is going to be 1 on 20th Jan and we/me are :bfp: due about the 20th July 2008 and telling some people I have had mixed reaction like oh thats close together, what does your husband feel about that, Oh your DS will have to grow up fast, or you will not be able to enjoy your DS cause you will be to busy...etc etc.
kewlchic ... 18 months isn't that close together, I know lots of people with babies that close together. There are always advantages and disadvantages to all different age gaps between children. As you probably remember from being pregnant people do like to share their negative comments more than the positive ones. I'm sure you heard all these bad pregnancy and labour stories and very few good ones. I think it's the same with the timing of a 2nd child, people are more ready to say things like "oh, 2 babies in nappies", etc, etc. But they ignore all the positives like the fact that your kids will enjoy being close in age, especially when older.
tabby ... nurofen and milk doesn't bother josh, he has both together most days. I hope katie had a good night.
josh decided to be awake from 1am til 4am! He hasn't done that for a while. I don't know what the problem was. I think he might have just been hungry - he had milk at 1am and 3:30am and after a quick play at 3:30am he went back to sleep quite readily. I think he didn't drink well yesterday or eat well b/c of tooth pain and so I suspect he was making up for it overnight. I hope that's the case, cause I'm determined to give him more during the day today so we don't get a repeat performance. Thankfully, dh was able to do the 1:30am - 3am stint and i got a bit of rest.

Kewlchic- My son will be only 12 and ½ months when this bub is born. Now that’s a real close age gap . I know its going to be hard work but I do know that my kids are going to grow up being best buddies as they are so close in age. I’ve never looked at the negative side, because to me this pregnancy was a blessing. Hope all goes well for you.
Tabby – How’s Katie this morning?? I hope she’s feeling better.
Mim – :hugs::hugs: to you all. Let’s hope he sleeps abit for you today so you can have a nap aswell.
Us – No more bleeding :smiliedance:. Have a Dr appointment on Friday, so hoping to have a scan to see how everything is going. I finally finished wrapping the rest of the :xmas: presents and Talon’s b’day presents last night.
T has a cold aswell. I’ve had his vaporizer on in his room for the last couple of nights and have noticed this morning he doesn’t have much of a cold left. Might keep doing it for a couple of more nights yet. T had a photo taken with Santa and I can tell you he wasn’t:no: to impressed lol. Will post a pic of Talon and Santa after brekky. T’s calling out from his cot.
Will get back on later

Hi everyone
kewlchic - My girls are 12 months apart. I was in labour with my 2nd when it was DD1 b'day. It was hard having 2 in nappies & 2 on formula but you just cope. We had mixed reactions too when we told people too but as long as you & your DH are happy about it, then thats all that matters. But now they are almost 5 & 4, they get along really well.
Tabby - Hope Katie is feeling better.
Mim - How's Josh doing today? I think Sierra is teething too.
Us - Sierra is 11months today. :smiliedance: Think she is teething. She has had diarreah for a few days... & this morning she was covered in it :barf: And she was really sore with a bad nappy rash, poor bubba. Screamed everytime i tried to wipe or just gentle dab her. It might also be the cows milk so i might stop that & see if it improves. I remember DD1 had really bad diarreah at 10-11 months too cos of teething so i'm sure thats all it is. I still have a cold... taking its time to go away. I think i am just run down & tired so its hanging around. But hopefully i can catch up on some rest & relax soon. The girls only have one more week of kinder & Dh has only one more week of work before he has 4 weeks off... cant wait. I'm going to make sure DH does lots with the kids & around the house lol. I'm pretty organised for the girls b'days, just have to wrap everything. They are going away to their Nanna's on thursday until sunday so will do it then.
Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Poor bubbas seem to be sick atm- hope your bubbas get better soon kewlchic, tabby and tired mummy.
Tired Mummy- thanks for reminding me, Bridget is 11 months today too- I did not even twig when giving her the chocolate from her advent calendar this am.
Kewlchic- dont worry about comments, I agree with mim- people only look at things in a negative light when being told something that shocks them. I really think the age gap will be quite big by the time #2 comes- July is 7 months away and look how quick they grow- just enjoy the time you have with your baby now til bub 2 arrives!
MIm- I do need a tripod, will try out the wheelie bin- good idea!
Think Bridget is getting tooth #9. It looks like it is coming up on the bottom- the eye tooth. No wonder she has been miss super grumblebum!!
Went shopping this morn, and we sat down to have lunch and OMG did Bridget play up- I got really flustered, got gravy all over my top- people were just staring at me. The lady next to us started feeding Bridget chips off her plate to shut her up of couse and Bridget kept throwing them back at her. Was just crazy- glad to get home and put her to bed!!!!
Anyway hope you are all having better days than me!

On the age gap for yous who have close.., ah think of it this way..You'll be over and done with sleepless nights and nappies etc etc much sooner and in all one go. bigger gap and you would have had a break and have to get used to it all over again.
Mim: Hope Josh has a nice arvo nap for you. Am hoping I get one from Katie as well.
kewlchicmum: Hope your little man is feeling better today?
Am exhausted after a fairly sleepless night from 10.30 on. Constant resettles and eventually on the recliner to have her sleep in my arms from 2am on. I didnt really get to sleep, she was constantly crying out or moving..She seems a bit better this morning.
Have been sneezing so am dreading if I do too!!!
What bad timing! Nothing all yr and I start a new job through no sleep and a head cold. argh!
tiredmummy: Katie suffers from that bad diarrhea too when teething, it really burns their poor bum doesnt it! Got the screams when wiping too!
Makes you feel so sad for them.
Lots of nappy free time after the bath and nappy cream was all I did and started to clear by the 2nd day, That and constan nappy change seems to help. Soon as she wee's I changed it, would imagine it would sting anyhow!
Hope it eases for her real soon the poor love :hugs:
DF let me sleep this morning! So finally got a couple of hrs there. quick look at forums and off for a nap

Kewlchic- I had the same fears and worries, must have cried on and off for a week when I found out I was pg 5 months ago, but now am so excited to be having another- I agree with tabby on the getting it over and done with. DD1 was 6 when Bridget was born and OMG you so easily forget what having a little baby is like!!
Tabby- yes was funny really (the chip throwing tanty)- at the time quite frustrating but I saw the humurous side when telling DH- Bridget seems much better after a long 3 hour nap! Hope you enjoy your 1st day at work.

Kewlchic, I'm thinking of TTC early next year for #3, I will have three under 4 but am lening towards the idea of getting the 'tired' years over and done with! Also like the idea of them growing up together!
Strawberry, glad everything has settled. DS1 is terrified of Santa this year so we won't even attempt a photo.
Tabby, hope you don't get that nasty cold but if you do at least you can dope yourself up cold&flu tabs. Hope Katie is on the mend.
Tiredmummy, hope your cold disappears soon too!
Acacia, :hugs: hope all is ok.
Liviesmum, your house looks fab! LOL about the chips. M chucked a tanty when visiting a new bub in hospital last week. My girlfriend was convinced he had jammed his finger he was howling so much. He was actually just frustrated because he couldn't pop himself down gently from a standing position - thank goodness he has perfected that skill since then!
I can't remember if I have mentioned or not but M makes the funniest faces - it's his party trick. Almost every person he meets is greeted with one of the following 'looks' and they are usually convinced he is about to bawl - then he brings out the smile.

Bridget took 3 steps on her own tonight:smiliedance:. We are walking her back and forth between dh and myself but was taking one step then plonking into a crawl then she plucked up the courage to take three steps before plonking- not long now I guess- just a bit more confidence and she will be off.

Greetings Earthlings (Can you tell I've just been reading Caitlin a story about Martians? Yeah - great bedtime material).
IL's arriving tomorrow!! I have been working on this house forever (well 6 weeks) just frustrated we don't seem to have got anywhere. Stupid DH - grrr... he's "helping" by doing all these jobs - but he doesn't clean up after him cleaning up - there's **** all voer the yard - tools and piles of weeds. I'm at the no-care stage atm.
Acacia, I'm sorry you got bad news today. Thinking of you.
Great photos Sammy!! And those photos of Sierra are gorgeous too - both beautiful babies. And how good is that santa photo Strawberry!!! He doesn't look fazed at all!!
Age gap - I think everyone has horror stories about age gaps. You can never please anyone. Too soon, too far apart... blah blah blah.... Now that we've had our first baby, all of a sudden everyoen thinks they can comment on the timing of our 2nd! No one dared mention the B word (baby) before I got pregnant with Caitlin.
Caitlin is teething something chronic. The nappy rash is just appalling - it just appeared all of a sudden. MIL will love it as she's always going on about her neighbour in 1978 whose baby had terrible nappy rash and she wouldn't let her baby anywhere near him. *sigh* I'm pre-empting all this!!
Anyway, had a lovely Christmas lunch with Mum's Group. Hard to believe that when we meet again next year they'll all be one!!!! Unbelievable how far we've come from teh stressed out, ruffled, no-hair-brushed, post natal messes of last january.
just a quick post ...
it is funny now that i've got a bub that everyone wants to know how many kids we want and how big we want the age gap to be, etc, etc, etc. You're right that people were previously scared to ask those questions, now complete strangers ask it!
we have our last mother's group tomorrow :( i'm back at work full time next year and so are a few of the other mums, so it's the end of the group as we know it. I can't believe the year is over already! where did the year go?
josh has been a grumpy bum today, but i noticed that an eye tooth has just popped through the surface of his gum, so that must be the issue. dh was able to mind him most of the afternoon though, so i've been busy sewing - yeah! I've made presents for mothers group (KK), my neice and nephew and for josh! Still gotta do the presents for dh, my brother, my mum and my MIL, but at least they are stuff i can do on the dining room table with josh nearby.

Tiredmummy- Beautiful pics of your girls.
Sammy – Those pics are funny. Talon was standing looking at them with me and he laughed at them. He loves looking at photos (especially of himself)
Liviesmum – I also had to laugh about the chip tanty. :smiliedance:for Bridget taking 3 steps. Won’t be long till she’ll be up and running. I would like to think T will be walking before this bub arrives lol. Would make my life alittle more easier.
Cordelia –. :hugs: to Caitlin I hope she gets over her nappy rash and teething real soon. Poor little darling.
Talon has a new game. He climbs the lounge then turns around and then goes head first into his sofa. Will have to take a video of it tomorrow. Its funny. Anyway T’s in bed might go and have a nice warm bath and enjoy the quietness while I can.

Hi Girls,
Thanks for the hugs. Its been a big week. I found out that my friend was killed on Thursday. Ive been spending time with some of his friends which is good. He was the kind of person that lived hard, and evidently died young. Im very sad for his family and his partner. She came back from overseas to be with him and now he is gone. Anyway sorry for the sombre post.
Yay for Joshy getting a tooth. Does teeth effect him a lot. They put tom through hell. I hope you get more rest too.

What a quiet day, not alot of activity going on in this area today!
Acacia- :hugs: thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Strawberry- how scary with the nose diving into the couch- is there are big fall from the couch and a soft or hard landing to the ground? Kids will be kids hey?
MIM and Cordelia- I hear you on the teething front- Bridget has been woeful, but pretty sure that the tooth has cut through now.
A bit of an emotional day today- thinking of putting the house on the market, just cant seem to do it all with a large mortgage- I have been crying most of the day but dont know what else to do. When we first bought the house we did not anticipate 5 rate rises so close together or two new additions to the family in such a short space. Sorry for the downer but dont really want to talk to anyone else about it but really need to vent. Wont make the final decision til after xmas, things always seem bad at this time of year!!
Bridget has been so cute today, she is really chatting away- all jiberish (sp) but v cute:ecomcity:.
Hope all are well and it is all positive going-ons that are keeping you away from the computer today.

Hi Ladies,
Strawberry- how scary with the nose diving into the couch- is there are big fall from the couch and a soft or hard landing to the ground? Kids will be kids hey?
T nose dives into his thomas fold out sofa, so no not much of a big fall. When he started doing it you can't stop him doing it . He doesn't have any fear what so ever. Sending you heaps of these :hugs::hugs:hun. So sorry to hear your having a very emotional day. Life can be so tough sometimes.
Hubby thinks I’m nesting. I told him no its not nesting its things that have to be done. Just finished cleaning our 2 bathrooms, vacuumed the whole house and mopped it all and did 3 loads of washing while T was sleeping. So now my body is killing me lol that will teach me for doing to much cleaning. I’m going to try and get my hospital bag organised this afternoon. Well i did say try hehe. Just put on a hi5 dvd for T so he'll be quiet for a while. Talon loves Hi5.

Heya everyone  what cute pic of all the bubs what a good looking bunch of bubs we all have in here.
strawberry ... on your list of things that need to be done ... somehow pregnancy made that list longer ...
liviesmum ... :hugs: sorry to hear that you may have to sell your house. It's hard to reach that decision, even when finances aren't the issue. Downsizing may not be much fun, but it really is a good financial decision and in time you'll be able to upsize again. Our house needs lots of work and ideally we'd upsize, but financially it's not possible and I find that hard to deal with. But, being able to sleep at night without worrying about our finances has it's advantages (of course, I don't sleep b/c josh keeps me awake, but that's a whole another story!)
and :smiliedance: for bridget sleeping in her own bed.
acacia ... :hugs: sorry to hear about the death of your friend. I'm glad you've got supportive people around you at the moment.
josh spent 90% of last night in bed with us, after 8 failed attempts (in total) to get him to sleep in his own bed. grr! hopefully tonight will be better.
mums group christmas party went well, all but 1 mum came which is a record for us. I was feeling shocking from the cold I have, but somehow I felt better during that time ... I feel 10 times worse tonight, so I'm really hoping for a good night. At least dh is feeling a bit better tonight - he's putting josh to sleep at the moment.

Hehe funny Strawberry!
Our Mum's Group Christmas party was fun too - nice to get out without the bubs as usual!!!!
liviesmum - know what you mean re: finiances. Every rate rise has been a real kick in the guts to us - and it looks like that rates goign up is going to be a continuing trend. Maybe better to sell before everyone else needs to....
A bit over IL's already... they arrived and walked through the door without any form of greeting whatsoever. "unforutnatey" Caitlin screams every time they look at her which is really unusual... i know it will only take a bit longer and she'll be comfortable with them. Just feel like they disapprove of all my parenting techniques. Why can't people say nice things to you!!!
She's sitting here in the lounge telling DH all the things we need to change in the house... I KNEW IT!! We spent the last 6 weeks perfecting our house (specifically for her) and she just has to find faults. It's just so rude to come into someone's house and do that. What if I did that to her.
Anyway, tha'ts my vent!! Thakns for reading! (even if you didn't).

Hi all
Acacia very very sad and awful news for you, very sorry. :hugs: Life so precious.
Tabby how is Katie?? Your training it tomorrow? I think..just unusual not to see you on, so hope you've not been hospital visiting or anything like that.Hope that she's sleeping off the flu/cold and is all well for you all soon. All the best for 1st day on job!
Mim1 how are the job start thoughts? daunting and exciting?
In some madness, last Friday I accepted a job offer that two days before I didn't even know I wanted. Am lecturing less than 2days a week and is a great deal..actually just 6hrs of contact..though heaps of prep, luckily my Ma lives just up the road. But the shock is I really am supposed to start in 3wks!!!? Though students don't start till Mar. Still have other work too. So will be MIA a lot. Am happy about it, but also daunted! What will our bubs be like in 3months, or 6months??
Anyone using Tommee Tippee bottles for milk?? What size teats are we on now?? ECK. H hasn't needed a bottle of EBM or anything for about 9months!
Cordelia v sorry to hear about the ILs, they sound :hair:!! Difficult to whinge to your DH too of course. Hope Caitlin is taking to them gradually.
LiviesMum v sorry to hear about house! And sorry that you're so sad too. So many memories and thoughts of future etc in the places we live. But once you move its all good too. Am sure you'll make the right decision for you both/all at this time in your lives.
StrawShort that is SOME quantity of cleaning!!! Remember you're not meant to be bringing this one on :smiliedance: I hope all the aches and pains are disappearing and you are getting some much needed rest.
Tired MUmmy, your Sierra has such a perfect little face and the 3 sisters shot is just wonderful. Must be a wonderful thing for them.
Wow and just looked at Michaels amazing LOOK, wow what WIDE eyes and the gorgeous grin. He's beautiful SammyG!
Hunter loves climbing, long sticks, brooms and playing with his rake etc and spade in river sand. Stood twice in last two days..but not realising it yet. He can feed himself pretty ok if I load each spoonful for him. I guess that was dinner last night..as he spat it during tea tonight :hissy:
Arh, but they are so gorgeous now...as asleep. night night all.zz and xx S

Charis: Still here, was waiting for Katie to go to sleep to get on. Have just been doing odds and ends today and taking it easy hehe.
yes day one tomorrow..Little nervous but more excited.
Katie was much better today, only one dose of nurofen earlier and fine the rest of day, even had a few cuddles tonight..boy I missed them while she was unwell! you would think she would want more but she was quite the opposite.
How exciting for you with the new lectures! Youll cope fine hun no doubts there! 3-6 months?? A lot more independent and more routine I would think..(hope?) lol
WOW on the feeding! What a clever boy!
I tried Katie tonight but she just proceeded to play with the mash that was on the spoon lol. hmm a bit longer for us I think.
Although the little bit in the bowl and the spoon to play with was great while I ate dinner in peace, although messy hehe. Lucky bath is after that!
Cordelia: Lots of :hugs: for the time of the il's again.
mim: :fingerscrossed: Josh goes back to his bed a lot easier tonight.
Hi Kewlchicmum!
Strawberry: are you sure thats not nesting?? Sounds like you had a huge burst of energy there. Feels great to have it all done doesnt it?! Well done hun, now GET YOUR FEET UP! :hugs:
liviesmum: Hugs for you too, hopefully after xmas brings new and better things..yes xmas can be so $ stressful! Lovely time of year but also a dreaded one here in some ways.
And most importantly Acacia!!! for you, your family and friends at this time.
My thoughts are with you at your loss xx
Katie is heaps better! YAY.
I think I have also escaped the dreaded cold she had whew!
So today is supposed to only be short so will get on tomorrow let yous know how it all was!
good sleeps to all xx

hi again .. !!
remember me lol
sorry i have yet to spend some real time in here dont i ?
Well just thought I'd pop in to say hello .. we are moving to Melbourne next week to be close to specialist for tayla.. !
she has (systemic ?) mastocytosis - we have to go get a bone marrow biopsy to check the damage all ready done. but are leaving that till we get there.. she was approved to get some meds from london which we are dying to start .. basically it stabilizers all the mast cells .. coz at the moment she has excess histermines - she gets skin lessions on her body and reacts to the weirdest of things.. we had to get an epi pen as kids with masto can go anaphalytic from almost anything.. at the moment we are still off all food.. she is just getting over a severe gastric reaction to vanillla..turns out it is a mast cell trigger :(
turns out it is so rare that there may only be a few kids in australia with it ( - we are yet to find one with symptoms like tayla (as hers involves her whole body .. she reacts to food and atm environment ) .. but the docs in melbourne treat a few of these kids in general and we are going ot get her in down there.. with help of some great referrasl from her allergiest/ immunologist...
ill spend some more time going back to read what all the little ones are up to..
tayla is up and trying to walk ..so i think she will be walking b4 her first bday .. :smiliedance:
have a merry xmas all :tree: :xmas:

Bossoflatch, thats really full on. I hope she is ok. How are you handling it all? Do you have lots of support. I don't really know what it is so i hope you can excuse my ignorance, but does she get rashes and things? :hugs: I hope that Melbourne proves to be good for you all.
Thanks for the thoughts girls. I think that it never rains, but it pours. Terrible things always seem to happen in June for me, but life must be running a bit behind in schedule! Im going a gig on Friday so i might run it past the band and see if we can dedicate it to Gordon. I think he would have liked that! Its a real trashy band so its right up his alley!
Dragon, im really sorry to hear about the mastitis. Its horrible stuff. Are you on antibiotics? I hope you recover quickly.
Liviesmum, im sorry for all your stress. I think a lot of peiople have been hit hard by the interest rates. Do you think you will downsize or move to a cheaper area? I hope it all works out for you. Remember to try and stay relaxed and not get too stressed. :hugs:
Cordelia, your il sound like complete twats. They need their head checked. If your place isn't good enough for them than they are not welcome there i say. Some people always have such bug opinions on how other should live. Just tell them to grow up or lose the privilage to see their grandchild in her home. Sorry but it makes my blood boil. As if us mothers don't have enough to worry about without others coming in and passing judgment on how we live.
Tom was up a lot last night. He is comfort feeding, which isn't very good. I have to be strong and stop letting him. He settled quicker when i turn away from him but when im tired it just feels so much easier to get my boob out and make him quiet. Reminder to self...be strong! I have been saving up one boob each day so i can express milk for when he goes to his dads, but it gets so engorged that im worried about mastitis too. I agreed to give him a bottle of formula to take off the pressure of expressing, but he did the biggest poo i have ever seen and seemed unsettled. So now im flat out trying to express enough milk. His dad did give him A LOT of formula so that might have had something to do with it.
Mim, i hope Josh settles better....is he just getting used to his new bed?
Tabby Im glad Katie is feeling better. That must be a relief. Yay for the beach!
bossoflatch ... :smiliedance: for a diagnosis ... sorry to hear it means having to move. all the best for the coming weeks.
acacia ... I know all about comfort feeding too. But if it gets josh back to sleep I don't mind so much ... when he feeds and then still won't sleep again, that's what frustrates me ... but it also makes me realise that he didn't need the milk in the first place. All the best for being strong and not offering milk. And it's us getting the new bed, not him ... although now that he sleeps with us quite frequently he'll probably claim it as his own (it's a king size). We get the bed tomorrow - yeah!
dfb ... sorry to hear that you are both sick. that's tough ... hopefully you are feeling better really soon.
tabby ... all the best for work today. I get to take josh in the ocean in a couple of weeks, I can't wait. I hope he likes it.
charis ... returning to work is daunting b/c of josh's frequent night waking and almost constant sickness. And of course, the fact that he will not take anything from a bottle any more - not even 2ml - is really annoying. He took 10ml of EBM in a normal cup and a little bit of water (maybe 10 - 20ml) from a normal cup yesterday, so that gives me some hope. It's not a complete disaster if he hasn't weaned by the time I return to work, he can go 11 hours without a breast feed during the day quite happily, but I just want to wear normal clothes again and not have to stress as I'm fighting traffic to get home, that I need to hurry home to feed a hungry baby.
Your job sounds great though. I don't know about the teat size - I suggest you look at the packets :)
Josh slept better last night, from 9:30pm til 12:30am - at which time he had milk and went straight back to sleep. He woke at 2am, but was asleep within a couple of minutes. Then he woke at 6:15am and was grumpy, so i took him to bed with us and he slept for another 3 hours ... that was despite us both coughing, sneezing and talking - he really slept soundly! He's quite happy this morning too. I'm feeling a teeny bit better, but this is a really rotten cold my baby boy has given me. :(

Boss – So nice to hear from you. So glad to hear they finally know what’s wrong with little Tayla. All the best for the move to Melbourne and I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas.:tree:
Tabby - Good to hear Katie is getting better. Yes it does feel great knowing my house is cleaned. Best of luck with your new job today hun.
DBF - hugs to you hun. Not nice having mastitis. Hope it clears up real soon and I hope Clea gets over her cold aswell.
Cordelia- Lots of:hugs: to you. I don’t understand why il’s have to be so rude. Must be that generation cause mine are the same. One good advantage living over 4000kms from them, we know for sure they won’t come and visit us.
Talon is happily eating toast in his high chair. Hoping to have a relaxing day today. Hubby is home so who knows what he wants to do for the day. Hopefully not wanting to head to the shops. Not this time of the year.
cordelia ... my great aunt used to walk into mums house and immediately go to her linen cupboard and open it ... then say "it's still such a mess". It didn't matter if the house was clean or not, just the silly linen cupboard. Poor mum never got her linen cupboard up to her standard. The moral of the story though is that now, when aunty jean no longer with us, we look back on her linen cupboard antics and laugh. I think that perhaps mum should have laughed about it more back in the past. There is just no pleasing some people. :hugs:

Age gap - I think everyone has horror stories about age gaps. You can never please anyone. Too soon, too far apart... blah blah blah.... Now that we've had our first baby, all of a sudden everyoen thinks they can comment on the timing of our 2nd! No one dared mention the B word (baby) before I got pregnant with Caitlin.
My standard answer after we had DD1 was "One's plenty" After a while people stopping asking.
Slow down woman or you'll pop before your time!
LOL at T and Santa. Went to the shops yesterday and DD1 wouldn't go near him. Kept hiding behind me, so no chance of a photo with him again this year.
Sammy....love the vampire smile
TiredMummy...great photo's
LiviesMum...:hugs: hope the answer comes easier after Christmas
Boss...:hugs: a diagnosis is good, but knowing T is one in a million (or two) is hard too. Best of luck with the move
Tabby...hope your first day at work went well
Us...got gruff with TJ last Thursday night. After a few really cr@ppy nights (up every 1.5 hours) I'd had enough. So we are now putting her to bed at 6.45 awake, she's not allowed out of her cot again. If she wakes I either offer a bottle of milk or water, then pop in her dummy, roll her over and cover her then walk out. Have had some better nights, though she's still not sleeping through. :fingerscrossed: the magic happens soon.
Mum and Dad flew back in last night, they are at home babysitting today while I'm at work. Have got Daycare Christmas on Thursday. Dh also flew in today. DD1 was bouncing off the walls with excitement this morning.
LOL, Mum asked niece2 over the phone the other day who was coming soon. With great excitement niece2 says "Mama and Gramps". Forget Santa when you've got grandparents!
Keep well,
Lisa:reindeer:

thanks for the reassurance re: "them"..... not even going to write about it or I'll get stirred up :P
Tabby
18-12-2007, 09:43 PM
Cordelia: Am in the process of that now. So far over the week we are now only 1 bottle and that is the one before bed, all others are sippy cup through out the day of either juice/water or milk.
The bed one will go when Im on a 5 day off shift so I can be the one to settle her through it.
Mouse: :fingerscrossed: for you too that the magic happens real soon!
Mim: LOL at the great Aunt. Hugs for the cold and hope you all feel better soon! DS2 has gotten Katies one and yes its a rotten one too! He was in bed at 730pm! So not like him so must be a bad one. I think Ive escaped it, a bit snuffly but nothing more.
Strawberry: Hope you got the relaxing day?
Boss: So happy to hear from you! yay for the diagnosis finally..Sorry to hear that means a move. All the best for a smooth move and let us know how everything is once settled! :hugs:
DFB: Hope the mastitis clears swiftly for you and Clea is feeling better soon too.
Acacia: What a lovely idea the gig in remembrance.! :hugs:
Us: Did 9-130 training today, so easy! Tomorrow is 3pm -9pm. Hands on training, have most of my uniform and cards so should be all go after tomorrow. :fingerscrossed: not working xmas day..
Its going to be a fairly cushy job by the sounds/looks. The 10hr shift involves a lot of long smokos/coffees/chats lol
As the trainer said: Paid to sit and do crosswords for most of it" lol
So will most likely be on here less now. :(
But thats a good thing. Equals more $ and more timeout for me :D
Good sleeps all

Forgot to say
TTC: If not successful this month then am calling it a day. This job will mean a lot to all of us and the life I can give Katie if I work out weighs everything.
Not a easy decision but I can concentrate on spoiling the hell out of my little girl and offer her so much more in the process.
IF I am already then I hope by the time I have to quit that I have made a good impression and can go to lighter duties for the last of pregnancy and then return 6 months after birth.
Acacia
19-12-2007, 07:46 AM
Tabby thats a very big decision. :hugs: I hope that either way you are happy....and who knows, prob if you decide to not try than bam, you will get pregnant. Have heard of that. Your job sounds great. Im really happy for you.:sunshine:
My mums friend is doing IVF and she is 8 weeks pg but just found out there is something wrong and has to have a termination.:( It really drives home how lucky i am to have tom.
Mum got tom a playpen....this morning was the most peaceful coffee with tom ive ever had! Although he doesnt like it much....once he realised he was stuck in it he screamed the house down!
My family are not doing christmas and i must say im pretty relieved...his dad has seperated parents, so now Tom can go with his family for the day, no dramas! Not having christmas really takes away the stress of this season! Im glad he has it with His dads family though.
Mouse...i get people in the street going ' oh is he your first...' and i always say ' Yes ' and that is usually followed by ' Any more planned ' and they are generally shocked when i say 'hell no! ' So many times i have woman saying 'oh you will change your mind' but then i mention that im A: never having sex again or B: Am getting my tubes tied and they get the point!
Mim im gad you finally got some well deserved rest. :smiliedance:

Emily has turned into a cheeky little monkey and is always up to no-good, if you've forgotten to put something up you can be assured she'll find it!!
Anyway just a short one - wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas (a lot of bubs having their 1st christmas' :yelclap:).

Acacia: Yep, This morning I do feel at peace with my decision. Maybe it was because something was missing in my life that I felt I wanted another...Either way things are coming together nicely now, DF,DD and great job.
Yes a peaceful xmas sounds great! They can be so stressful trying to please everyone cant they?. goodness knows how I will if im on a late shift! Mine will be okay with it but not sure of the il's, but too bad if am the job has to come first being this new.
lol @ the playpen tanty. Hope he settles for it a bit better once used to it.
How sad for your Mums freind :( yes we are truly lucky, would be so hard to have to make that choice too.
Am somewhere about 8-10dpo already. Figure ill test on the weekend if no AF or sign of.
Us: ARGHH what a night!!! She wouldnt settle till almost 12 after trying numerous times eventually she went off only to wake at 1.15am! Took her to the recliner and we both nodded off till when I finally woke up enough to take her back at 3am, then slept till 7. So have only had 4 hrs good sleep and have to work a 7hr shift this arvo. What a sh!tty time to get sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hair:

Cordelia - T will drink anything from his sippy cup BUT milk. I’ve tried him every morning for the last 2 months but still no go. One day he’ll surprise me and drink milk from it .
2cutekidz- Nice to hear from you. Merry xmas to you and your family.
Tabby – :hugs: to you hun. Hope Katie sleeps better tonight. Glad your job is going well. I’m happy that you feel at peace with your decision. It wouldn't have been an easy one to make.
Not much is happening here. Tried to put T down for his morning nap but no such luck. So now I’ll keep him awake till its lunch time then I’ll put him down after lunch. He’ll definitely have a 2 to 3 hour nap then. DH is sleeping today as he had a night shift last night and another tonight and T is making so much noise its not funny... Might have to take him outside and play on the trampoline for a while so DH can't hear him. Everytime i say shhhhh he makes more noise. Cheeky  he is.

Acacia...Hope T gets used to the playpen soon and gives you a bit of a break.
Every so often I try TJ with milk in her sippy cup, but she's not interested. Doesn't worry me either way.
A good night (all is relative) last night, with TJ up at 10.30, 3.15 then 6.
If I don't manage to get online over the next few days, I'll wish everyone a fantastic Christmas and hope our bubs not only have a good Christmas.

Hi all, hope you are all well.:xmas: the day is coming on so quickly- less than a week to go- OMG!!!
Nice to hear from you Boss- glad you finally have a diagnosis and can now work on getting your little girl better- what a hell of a year for you, bet you are relieved to be doing something beneficial now- goodluck with the move.
DFB- hope you and Clea get better in time for xmas!!
Mouse- :fingerscrossed: for you TJ settles soon- Bridget usually only wakes once a night- but like I have said before she ends up in our bed as it is easier for me while working and pg- god help me when bub#3 comes along.
Strawberry- Not long now- when are you actually due again? How exciting for you- bet you cant wait for it to be over.
Tabby- glad you have enjoyed your 2 days training- what a big decision though to arrive at re: TTC. I believe too that it will probably happen on its on when you are not actively focussed on it. I know of a few ppl who took the clomid- fell pg and then fell naturally afterwards aswell.
Tiredmummy- how nice a few days break before the big onslaught of the holidays- hope you are feeling ok.
Acacia- sorry to hear about your mums friend- what a difficult decision. Not good news circling you atm- esp at this time of year.:hugs:
Charis- yay :smiliedance:on the job- you will be right! I enjoy being back at work- there is alot of prep to do but Hunter will be becoming so much more independent in the coming months.
I think thats everyone- sorry if I have missed you!
Me- Thanks for the support guys re: house. I am a bit hormonal I think and probably a bit anxious and nervous about a third bub due to arrive in 11 weeks. I read back on my post and thought OMG- what a whinger!!! But I feel good about it now- We will sell and buy a block of land then build when we are ready- realestate reckons it is the right move with the state of the market atm.
Had to do 1st aid course today- what a challenge with a pg belly- but passed it ok!
Bridget is doing well, no major leaps into full fledged walking- she seems a bit nervous herself!
Day off tomorrow and then Friday last day of work- Yippee!!

bossoflatch thats terrible for you and your family. Glad to hear you have found a diagnosis but how awful that it is rare! :hugs::hugs: to you and your family.
Thanks everyone, I am feeling better. mastitis has nearly gone, have antibiotics. Clea's cold is pretty yucky but is still just a cold. She has such a snotty nose. We are confined to the flat because it is so cold outside that everyttime I take her out she gets snotty again. So staying in for a few days till it has passed.
We bought the most amazing sippy cup. Its called NUBY. It doesnt leak at all, clea has to bite down on the teet bit for the drink to come out. So I have started using it for cows milk. Not that she drinks more than 20mls of cow, but it is a start.
tiredmummy you are going through so much right now. I hope you can find some time for yourself to think.
This seems a bit odd, writing about a sippy cup and thinking about the issues that other mums are facing. I cant even begin to understand what it must feel like to have a baby with health problems and a major family crisis like you are going through tiredmummy. I just hope that everyone going through major things in life find strength and hope in your situation.:hugs::hugs:

DFB: Glad your feeling better and hope Clea is as well soon.
We still have a sick Katie! Its gone to her chest now with a cough that happens when shes trying to sleep. Will go to gp tomorrow see what else can do besides dimetap, vics and nurofen when needed.
Strawberry: Oerr not long now!
Hi Mouse and liviesmum as well!
Got to go bed, just got home 930 and off again at 3am for next shift!

HI everyone
Thanks for the :hugs: Its a hard situation. But on a happier note... i got some good news today. My SIL (DH's sis) is pregnant again. :smiliedance: It was a big shock for her. She has a 15mth old little girl so she is freaking out abit. She said she wants me to get pregnant again so we can go thru it together again like we did with her bub & Sierra... i said NO WAY!
The girls are going away today until sunday :smiliedance: Except Sierra but thats ok... still be nice to have a break.
Have a great day!

Hi everyone
Sorry I have been MIA for a few days but we have managed to buy the first house that we put an offer on so it has all been very exciting. The house had that vibe when we walked in so we knew it was the one. Only bad thing is that there is a single mum living there at the moment and we have to get her to move out which i feel awful about as she seemed very nice when we met her at the open inspection.
There are too many pages to catch up on and do personals so I will just say that I hope everyone is happy and healthy and if I dont get back on before xmas, :tree:I hope all your families have the most magical and wonderful day next tuesday:hugs:
happybirthdayAnd happy birthday to those who are turning a big one year old
And thank you to Macy's secret santa for her card, we got it the other day, you are very clever for making it [im assuming it was you:thumbsup:]

Aww talon clea watched this over and over and pointed and went "aaaahhhh" and when it stopped started to cry and we had to watch the one when he gets off the lounge over and over. I think I need to find a baby movie!
Tabby hope katies is feeling better. how is she handling you being at work?
i have started applying for work..... its a big step for me. if i get a job it means DH will be sahd, doing freelance work, and i will be working long hours. Also we would possibly have to look into a nanny depending on what country we are in. i am already nervous and am only half way through an application. anyway both dh and i are applying so we will see who gets a job in a location we want that pays enough to live on one income. i am hoping for singapore.
Tabby
20-12-2007, 08:59 PM
DFB: How cool if Singapore! Obviously been there and liked it yes?
Good luck for job applications. A hard choice to make but one most of have to do eventually if we want better things...Am quite sad at leaving Katie but luckily I dont miss too much of her awake time with this job.
Korah: Congrats on the house purchase, wonderful news.
tiredmummy: Congrats on the sil's pregnancy announcement.
Strawberry: Will check out your vids when done here
Us: AM SO TIRED!!! 2 hrs sleep and was off to next shift..argh so not used to that. Least I can get about 5 hrs tonight if I go bed soon before 330am start.
So far am loving it. The 10+hr shift which my first is xmas arvo/night involves anything from a 3 - 5 hr gap where you can go sleep in the car..fully paid! lol purchase a doona for that and lucky have a wagon here. shift is 3.30pm-2am.
So far the others seem like a great bunch. Lots of ppl to meet.
Well am off to browze forum for a few mins and sounds like Missy is asleep so bed for me too as up at 2am.
xx
Josh has been asleep for 9 hours! I lay in bed this morning and thanked God for mothers ... mine, in particular. Mum had Josh for the day yesterday (which was fantastic as I got some christmas presents finally made!!) and she fed him lots of food, particularly lots of bread and biscuits. He probably had 1 1/2 times as much food as I normally give him. To my surprise he wanted breast milk when he got home, despite having only eaten 1 hour ago ... and he drank well. It was a couple of hours later (just after 9pm) that he went to sleep and he hasn't woken up since. I've checked on him lots of times, but he's quite happily asleep.
Josh was already down to 3 breast feeds a day (morning, evening and overnight) ... but it seems that he'll be dropping the night time feed. Now, I just don't know what to feed him. So, I know that we have this discussion quite often, but can I ask for a recap ... what do you feed your baby during the day and how much?
I feel like such a bad mummy for starving my poor baby. If only he would complain more clearly ... he's just been waking at night and refusing to go back to sleep (he'd just lay there with eyes open). I think our sleep issues have been solved.
Well, he's still asleep and I'm heading off to work in a few hours for a meeting to plan next year, so I should go and make the most of this quiet time. Sorry for no personals.

Wow Mim- what a sleep, it gets a bit lonely after a while, I always feel like waking Bridget up- LOL. Must feel relieved to get some xmas stuff out of the way- I need to find some time alone over the next 3 days to go to mums and wrap the kids pressies.
Tabby- sounds like you have had a full on week- it is a big shock to the system going back to work with a bub, but you do adjust in time- get a pattern going that suits- Hope Katie is feeling better, nothing worse than being sick on your birthday esp your 1st!!
Strawberry- cute vid of Talon- he looks like a great little climber- Bridget has just started climbing- quite scary!
Tiredmummy- enjoy your break for the next few days- I am actually feeling like I need to change my name to tired mummy too- LOL just so buggered all the time.
Hello to everyone else hope your have got all your xmas shopping done and are ready for the big day!
I am really tired:sleeping:- been waking at 5am every morn atm- leg cramps the culprit mainly- and thinking of everything else. Last day of school today:smiliedance: then holidays, before I return for another 3 weeks until bubs arrival. One week today before we go away so feeling really excited about that too.
Better go will check in again later:wave:

I just remembered, I did have a question re: cows milk. When starting on cows milk should you water it down and at what ratio? And I heard kids should have full cream milk not light- is that right as we only ever buy light milk- not skim, but light.
I bought a tin of formula yesterday and said to dh that this would probably be the last, but a bit confused what to do as dd1 went off milk at 11 months and would not drink it again til she was about 4 years old.
tired*mummy
21-12-2007, 07:31 AM
LiviesMum - I dont water cows milk down. To start with i added 50ml to 150ml of formula for a few days then 100ml milk to 100ml of formula for a few days & so on.
Strawberry_Shortcake
21-12-2007, 08:20 AM
Liviesmum – I started Talon on cows milk around 10 months. I started T ¾ formula to ¼ cows milk did that for a couple of days. Then went half cows half formula, then ¾ cows milk to ¼ formula (until the tin was finished) I find he drinks more milk now then he was when on formula.
BTW enjoy your last day at school.
Better go got ob appointment in half hour.
Talk soon

I have a question regarding cows milk too....
Does it have similar nutrients to the Toddler Formula??? Reason being... caitlin does not eat much and is in the lowest percentile for weight so I'm extra pedantic that she is getting iron etc.... so am thinking I'd be better off continuing on either Stage 2 or Toddler Formula rather than risk her not getting the right vitamins (esp iron etc.) in cows milk?
.
.
.
Everythign else ok here - caitlin's 1 in 2 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Made loot bags for her party!! And made fabulous banana cupcakes (thanks freddie!!!!) ... it's so EXCITING!!! She has the most beautiful [white] dress - but she can't crawl in it so I might just get her to wear that for photos so that she can make the most of the baby obstacle course that we are creating!! :P
anyway - better go wash floors (are the in=laws going to MOVE? I gave them 10 minutes notice and then 5 minutes notice but they're still sprawled out in the dining room.. just run over their feet i guess).
tired*mummy
21-12-2007, 12:23 PM
Cordelia - Cows milk doesnt have the nutrients, iron & other vitamins that formula does. I will be giving Sierra cows milk but she will have one bottle of the toddler formula a day or i might do each bottle half/half... i think its better for them especially when they dont eat alot.
Tabby
21-12-2007, 01:25 PM
liviesmum: yes to full cream cows milk and we had to water down cos at first she hated the taste.
Also had some formula left and to help her adjust to taste at the start I mixed some of that: 1/2 bottle formula to half bottle watered down cows milk.
Then:
Start 1/2 milk- 1/2 water for a week, then 3/4 milk to 1/4 water and so on.
Take it like that for about 4 weeks till full milk.
You may not need to do that though, trial and error there, If she takes it okay on its own and no constipation then your fine.
Cordelia: I personally would continue with toddler formula until shes easting really really well and you know shes getting enough from her food :)
Mim: Katies meals consist of a variety that contain:
Beakfast: weetbix or/and toast
lunches:
yogurts
cheeses
sandwiches
cruskits
fruit chunks, banana strawberries, melons.
dinner:
vegie mash (or vegie squares to self feed)
broccoli, cauliflower, carrot slices, baby beans
mince dishes
potato pie
tuna pasta and spag bog
Thats all can think of at the moment,no sleep as yet am off for a few as only got 4 hrs last night.
Hoping she will settle earlier tonight so can at least get 5-6 before a 3am start again.
pm if need some more ideas and ill sit down for you and write them all out
nanna nap! xx back tonight!

My gosh, where are you all? Busy with xmas I would guess!:tree:
I thought Tabby- it is sad you have to work xmas day but did not want to write it in case it made you feel sadder:(:(- What time do you start? Do you have her birthday off? The sad thing is she will be non the wiser only you because you know what it means- think of the cash!!!!
Has DD1's birthday party today- she wont be 7 til January 11 but did the party early so her friends could come. It was just at Maccas, under $90 and no mess:thumbsup: I cant believe it rhough- she got 7 bratz dolls- I have just opened them all- took about an hour to get them out of their wrapping- I had actually bought her a couple for xmas- what to do now????
Hope you are all having a great day and days to come in the lead up to xmas!!
Yep, I've been busy with christmas preparations ... shopping, making presents and starting to prepare food. Mind you, we still don't have our tree up - most of the christmas decorations are in the shed and with the torrential rain neither of us is really in a hurry to go out to the shed. That's the other reason I haven't been around much - thanks to the thunderstorms i've had my computer off for the majority of the last couple of days.
Josh has slept through (or close enough) for 2 nights now! :smiliedance: I've greatly increased his solid food and added more variety of types of food and it's having a great effect. We're thrilled as we were exhausted and obviously my poor baby was just hungry. I think he's going through a growth spurt as he's a lot harder to get to sleep in the last 1 - 2 weeks too ... he puts up much more of a fuss than he used to. He's starting to push our boundaries again. It's comforting (yeah right!) to know that this will last for all his life !
liviesmum ... glad the party went well. I suppose you take the bratz dolls back that you bought her if they are similar to the ones she got ... but that doesn't leave you much time to find something else does it?
tabby ... happybirthday to katie for monday! I hope that you have a great day celebrating with her. I also hope that you somehow cope with working christmas day. I've worked it more than once and it's not much fun to be away from family, but once I was at work I found the atmosphere quite festive and I enjoyed myself. btw, how many dpo are you? when is af due?
cordelia ... happybirthday for caitlin for tomorrow! I hope you and her have a great day! My paed wants josh on formula rather than cows milk because my iron levels are borderline low and he can't tolerate iron enriched cereals. I was looking forward to starting him on cows milk (has to be full cream as children need a much higher fat diet than us - they need the fats for brain development) ... but it is not to be yet.
Josh is asleep, I should get back to more christmas preparations!
Merry Christmas Everyone!

W are going to do our big christmas food shop today. I love shopping for food!
Yesterday I bought Clea her first real shoes. They are for boys, but i hate the pink glittery girls shoes. They are so cute and she loves them. Now we casn walk outside on the snow (when it actually snows for more than an hour!) Clea hates her snow suits. poor little thing she can hardly move with all those clothes.
Well better go shop!:tree:

liviesmum: On her birthday I only work from 330am-830am so am home as soon as she wakes! This also leads up to shift changeover to night shift so dont start again till 330pm xmas day so I get them all day birthday and Christmas eve and christmas morning!. Mum and Dad are coming over early to spend some time with me too as they are also off to il's for the day.
and yes your right, none the wiser and am sure she will have a fab day regardless with everyone there to dote on her first official xmas and the toys. ( we were still in hospital for the 1st with the c-sec)
Awesome on the $ birthday party for dd1! Nice one. heh and no mess to clear up :smiliedance:
Mim: Am roughly 10dpo or abouts, have forgotten with being so busy lately.. My cycles seemed to have gone longer on the clomid, expected af due mid week or so. Will test tomorrow morning and again next week if nothing. Wonderful to hear of the 2nd sleep through!! So happy for you :smiliedance:
One of Katie's first favorite solids was tuna mornay. Easy and simple to make too and you can make a batch to freeze  oh and of course the goodness of the tuna.
Thanks for the birthday wishes for Katie :hugs:
I apologize in advance if I miss anyone regarding birthdays but know that I would wish the happy birthdays if I was sleeping lol. Im functioning on only 4 hrs a night at the moment so am dead tired. Shift changes in 2 days so will be getting good nights sleep then.
Also this wasnt the norm to am shift for 7 days in a row, was due to training and then promptly onto shifts so the most in future will be 4 in a row. phew!
DFB: heh Can imagine how hard it would be to move in the snow suit for her. little puff baby.
Cute on the new shoes too
Katie must be getting close to attempt to walk, talk about in the wars today, falling over while trying to get from one thing to another, smacking her head a few times today. Not quite ready but isnt stopping her from trying lol.
Cordelia: Big kisses for Caitlin for tomorrow, * HAPPY BIRTHDAY *!!!!!
anyhow, some quick computer time and bed for me! 830 here lol.

Tabby - Just in case i dont get a chance to get on tomorrow happybirthday for Katie tomorrow!
Us - Well i think we are pretty organised for the whole christmas/b'days. Did all our grocery shopping yesterday so hopefully wont need to go to the shops again after today. Had a nice quite couple of days without DD1 & 2, it was nice to have a break. Got alot of shopping done & didnt take half as long as it would of with kids. Sierra is walking everywhere now. Not being as lazy as she has been. When she falls over she is just crawling to the closest place so she can stand back up again & start walking. Its very cute... i will have to try & post a video of it.
Well better get the girls organised for swimming... have a great day all.

Thank you secret santa for Talon's Christmas card. Must have taken you a while to make it. It was lovely.

Hi ladies,
So sorry I have been MIA for ages....
Things have been really hectic since I started back at work and i'm not finding alot of time for myself.
Have read through the last couple of pages and just wanted to send a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY for all of the December born bubs .
Kelsey is crawling really fast all over the place and she is cruising along furniture. She babbles all of the time which is really cute. I can't believe she is almost 1 and am amazed at how the time has flown and how she has grown from a little cherub baby into a bright and bubbly (and noisy) toddler. I feel so pleased about the person she is becoming but also just a touch sad that she isn't really a baby anymore and that the last year has flown by so quickly.
I am still b/f which I am pleased about and Kelsey is eating really well.
I am just about organised for christmas. DH has to work but my parents will be here. The kids have been totally spoiled by our families and I have a disgraceful amount of presents to put under the tree for them.
Anyway I'll try and pop in more often....
Hope you all have a very merry and safe Christmas and sending my best wishes to you and your families.:noel:
Cheers

Happy 1st Birthday Katie :flowerz: Hope you have a great day!
Not much happening here. Sierra is up and about walking all over the place & yesterday decided that now when she fell over she would stand up without holding onto anything. So now of course cos she can do that she wont crawl anymore. Which i spose is good... but she looks so little to be walking lol. Everyone is still asleep besides Sierra & I so its nice & quiet at the moment. The girls are going over to MIL later today so DH & i can finish getting everything ready. We did the trampoline yesterday & have kept the girls inside so they wont see it lol. We have to put the net enclosure up today so will do it when MIL takes the girls. Other than that we dont really have much to do, going for dinner @ my mums house tomorrow so at least i dont have to cook
Hope you all have a great day tomorrow. :xmas:

Happy Birthday Katie for today! Tabby, even though you are working part of xmas I'm sure it will be a fantastic day!
Happy Birthday also to Clea & Talon just after Xmas!
I am officially sleep deprived and unfortunately it's not from partying through the Xmas season! Michael is teething and has a congested nose - making it hard for him to settle. A 2hr stretch of sleep is a luxury. DS1 has been waking too aarrrggghhhhh!!!

Forgot to say a Big Thankyou to Secret Santa for our lovely card! Thanks again Korahblue & Macy for doing the organising!
Katie ... I hope you are having a great birthday!!
Talon ... happybirthday for next Saturday!
Clea ... happybirthday for next Friday!
It's my birthday on Wednesday ... another year older. It will come and go with minimal fuss again this year, blending into Christmas like most other years. Not too bad really now that I'm old!
Josh is still pretty much sleeping through the night and he's down to 2 breast feeds a day - morning and night. I'm rethinking weaning him before I go back to work in 6 weeks ... if it's too hard I won't bother and at some point soon he'll wean himself. He will drink water quite well out of a pop top juice bottle (no juice in it though) ... but he also spills it everywhere so I'm not keen on trying him with milk in it yet.
Well, I'm just having a brief break from making my dh's christmas present - I should get back to it. I've got lots of cooking to do later and christmas card writing! Josh is waving and pointing to everyone and everything - it's SO cute! He's also much happier now that he's getting a good nights sleep. I feel like a new woman too - much more energy all of a sudden :)

we are good. Xmas is pretty low key this year. we are making a rabbit stewy thing. DH did a test run with pork the other night and it was so nice. He makes it french style with wine and lots of garlic. perfect cold weather xmas food.
we have our christmas dinner tonight. Bought clea a whole heap of small wooden toys on ebay, we have actually been giving her a few early since we realise if she gets loits at once she doesnt play with them. so she has 4 presents for the next 4 days!

It's almost Christmas!!!
DS1 chose to leave an interesting selection for Santa & his reindeer - Broccoli for the reindeer, banana and one of Daddy's drinks (beer) for Santa. Have just drank the beer, left out a banana peel and made the broccoli look knawed upon, can't wait to see his expression in the morning!
Phew, so glad I decided to get out Michael's fisher price rocking horse to put in the batteries. It took a good 20mins to assemble and put on all the stickers - cannot imagine M being patient while I did that in the morning. It was a lot harder to wrap out of the box but I had bought 20m of wrap for $5 from one of the discount stores!
Merry Xmas everyone!!!
brocoli, banana and beer for santa ... that's different!
sammy thanks for reminding me to take batteries with me to the IL's today ... he's getting a fisher price rocking horse too.
thanks for the birthday wishes. tiredmummy ... tell your dd2 happy birthday from me!
Josh didn't quite understand that we wanted a good sleep as our christmas present and he woke up lots overnight. To add to that I got a calf cramp for the first time in nearly a year. Poor dh, I woke up up by grabbing his arm and trying not to scream too loud. And, here we are at 5:30am with Josh & I up - josh is playing with his toys (not his presents). He's been sleeping in til nearly 9am for the last few days, so this is quite early. Oh well, he'll have lots of car trips to sleep today.
:tree: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Happy Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!
poor mim! Don't they realise Santa won't come i fthey're awake!! Caitlin was just too excited about the big guy coming down the chimney - she didn't sleep either. We attempted to get her to go to sleep in bed with us but because DH always plays with her (tickles etc) on the bed she just thought it was a game! Managed to get her to sleep at 4:30 and she's still asleep now. Altho have to wake her for church soon.
This time last year: Doign laps of the maternity ward halls with a SCREAMING.. i mean SCREAMING baby thinking "what the heck have I got myself in for" after not sleeping a WINK the night before. Smsing DH for him to come to the hospital urgently because I was about to collapse from exhaustion and frustration. NO nurses around to help... ohhhh dear!!!!! DH rushes in 15 minutes later to find both of us dead asleep.
I don't think Christmas will ever be the same!

Thanks for ALL the birthday wishes, had a lovely day, got some photos and will up them when I get my days off.
Am quite upset this morning, the whole family has just left for Gingin without me for the xmas day lunch at il's. Not handling it as well as I thought I would, the tears started last night at missing out on it all. :crying:
Hope everyone has a absolutely wonderful day and hope that I forget enough to get through this 11hr shift without tears! Am sure I wont as they will send me phone pics to share the day with me.
