My son is 15 months and he wont let me brush his teeth.
i still brestfeed him through the night, so ive noticed he gets yellow plaque build up and am worried about teeth decay he has 12!

Ive tried everything, lettting him brush mine, doing it when hes sleeping, making it fun and singing.
He chews his toothbrush, and sometimes pulls the bristles out. I put a tiny bit of milk teeth toothpaste on his brush and let him do it, but its never good enough. I am now just holding him down and brushing while he cries. I hate dong it that way though. I dont know where i went wrong i introduced him to his toothbrush the 3 stages one from a young age and now he hates it. I try to not make a big deal out of it but i have to brush his teeth, especially when they look yellow. Please help me, does anyone have suggestions i would really appreciate it.:fingerscrossed:

My DS loves his toothbrush and loves toothpaste but he doesn't love me brushing his teeth.

I now let him do his teeth in the bath but then do them again myself when he is on his change table. Sometimes crying, sometimes he will say 'AHHH' for me and open his mouth a bit.

I just persevere and try and make it as much of a game as possible. My nephew had to have teeth extracted when he was three. I want to try and avoid that for DS if I can.

Best of luck !

Well I have had the battle of the toothbrush too. You can buy a silicon thingo that goes over your finger that works quiet well or you could just try a piece of flannel. Maybe you could give him a turn at brushing your teeth, then you have a turn at brushing his. Might work:confused:

From 2, you can use a colgate battery operated brush. These are brilliant and solved my teeth brushing problems with my daughter who before stubbornly refused to cooperate. She loves her brush and it only needs to skim over the teeth and does a great job but best of all very quickly. Good luck.
