Hi sorry I'm sick of tired of it being hot and in the late 30.S lately. I'm struggling to keep cool. We got aircon but doesn't seem to work properly. Sasha is coping and doesn't seem to bother her. How does anyone cope with this weather? ( not leaving the house)
we dont have aircon, I am one grumpy mumma and with 6 kids under my feet :banghead: :banghead:
Evaporative aircon when its hot doesnt work due to the humidity anyway, if you can turn off the water, and just use the fan part, it will probably do a better job, but then you run the risk of ruining the pads.
Thankfully we do have great insulation, so therefore its slightly bearable and we have a couple of ceiling fans that helps, and if we sit still that helps too LOL
cold meat and salads for dinner (or pizzaLOL) so the house doesnt heat up with cooking.
I HATE the heat!! cant stand it I swear we are getting a place with aircon for next year!

oh so glad I not only one who so miserable in this heat become a prisoner in the house this weekend...too hot at 10 am even to hang out washing comfortably - i do have air con here but moving in 2 weeks to somewhere without so guess that wil be a rude awakening...cant even stand trips in car as it has no air con and the breeze so warm and it all so sticky! Plus scared as 2 sundays ago I was out in sun for couple of hours with sun cream on and burnt for first time in life - I have dark Euriopean skin and have never ever burnt...must be hormones!
Yeh cooking the worst I eating toast and cold drinks! And then in evenings brave using the cooker! The worst thing is the air con dehydrates me at night and I get leg cramps so I switch it off but then yuck!!!!! I wake up dripping!!! I prefer it when it late 20's - early 30's and the breeze cool!
pregnant with no aircon, Oh I feel for you, (oops, maybe I shouldnt have said that) been there a few times LOL.
Febraury used to be the hottest month, but its now March, has been like that for the last few years.
I hate the heat !!!:banghead:
I'm originally from Vic hwere we had heaters in our class rooms, then I moved tp Kalgoorlie, you'd think I'd be used to the heat. The heat in Kalg is very dry so even though it could be 40oC it will only feel like a 27oC Perth day, besides everywhere you go in Kalg has aircon, house, car, work, shops, pubs etc..
I hate the heat!!
I'm in a house with no aircon, terribly overweight and this is only the 2nd summer in Perth. I found last year it wasn't that bad, but maybe it feels hotter beacuse I have moved closer to the beach.
I hate the heat!!
I got under the hose with my DS today and I have a fan on a stand which I am sitting in front of as we speak :D
I hate the heat!!
It's amazing how we whinge when its cold, whinge when it's hot, whinge when we have not enough rain or to much. But even thinking that it still doesn't help with the current situation.
I hate the heat, have I mentioned that:laughing:

I hate summer but I love being cold. I rather be rugged up than be sweating. Thankfully it starting to cool down now!
Ugh. This heat is revolting. I'm living in a house with NO aircon and NO insulation. It is actually cooler outside than inside!!!! :banghead:
I hate this friggin house, but we've found a house we like so maybe we can move in a few weeks(it has aircon and I bet it has insulation too!)
It reached 40 at 1pm in Gosnells today.
Starlet - Yup our little temp recorder says it was 40.1 max today just up the road from you in Maddington.
It's currently saying it's 30.6 *sigh* so it's still darn hot.
I mowed and whipper snipped the lawns this morning and boy was I hot by the time I finished.
I know this sounds silly but I find I feel hotter if I'm not busy. If we have friends over or go out or even do jobs around the house I find the time goes quicker and I don't notice the heat as much.
(note - jobs around the house should not include the lawn mowing or ironing ! :D ) LOL

well i have only just actully got home from perth we went there for the longweekend but came home today rather than monday as ethan my 4yr old got sick with vomiting. the dr said is sounds like gastro even though he hasn't had diarrohea, we think its because of the heat, anway back home where its a bit cooler and with the aircon. i hate the heat aswell and much prefer winter even more i love autumn when it's just right most of the time. lucky before ethan got sick we went shopping (cool in there) and to my grandparents for a swim) I hate the weather and it left me in a grumpy mood
mmmmm home sweet home

i like to be warm but hate it when its so hot you sweat just sitting down! i burn very easily too so tho i like warm weather i hate being out in it too much.
we dont have aircon either but thankfully weve got a pool - ive never had one in my life and am so grateful that it was on my wishlist when we were househunting - i spend most of the day just getting wet and walking inside still dripping and plonk myself in front of a fan.
if anyone is keen for a swim on those unbearable hot days i would be more than happy to have anyone over for a visit - our pool is half covered in shade by about 1pm so its great for the kids as you dont have to worry about sunscreen.
im in beldon NOR so just drop me an email or msn or whatever when you desperately hot and just want to chill for a while. i seriously dont mind as we have friends who just sms if its ok and they drop round do a few laps and go home - a pool is there to be used is our motto - the more the merrier :)

I am so terribly sick of the weather gods teasing me lately. What is it with the occasional day in the low/mid 20s and then zooming back up to the 30-40 range?
We don't have an air con, only a portable air cooler which is dying and makes everything sticky because of the humidity. We're slightly lucky because the unit we live in is on the ground floor so upstairs blocks a lot of the heat, but it's still rather unpleasant indoors.
With any luck we'll be moving as soon as possible into a bigger place with air con :fingerscrossed:

I reckon that to. I used to live top apartments and believe me it sucks big time. Its meant to be 37.C today. I'm going to Morley with Amber today.
