Hi, just wondering if anyone can recommend a really good nappy rash cream! I've used the curash cream which is great and the castor/zinc creams but are there any others can can be recommended, some of the others sometimes take a while to work! Thanx!
I have used bepanthen (I think that's how you spell it) and think it works great! Jade doesn't get a lot of nappy rash, only when she's teething, but I tend to apply cream as soon as I see redness and usually have to only do it once.
oh, I just have to add that I have also used bepanthen on my partners pressure areas, and it works a treat!
I use the curash cream, but also have used the bepathem(??) as well its good to. Natural alt is paw paw ointment but I think curash is more effective.

Amolin seems to clear my girls up almost overnight - at least it takes the redness out of it overnight and takes maybe a day or so to go completely.
I have just started using a really nice natural nappy balm made by Ecostore. It contains various nice things like olive oil, calendula , chamomile and lavender oil but also has zinc, beeswax, castor oil etc. so it is effective.
it smells lovely and seems to work really well.

I've uses Curash, Amolin, Sudocream and Bepanthen.
Bepanthen is the absolute best, Codie gets a shocking rash when teeth are coming thru and bepanthen works the best.
I highly reccommend it!
We gave up all nappy rash creams here about 8 mths ago, and started using straight cornflour from the pantry.
Its better than any cream I have ever used - and between DD and DS I have tried them ALL! You name it, we had it - bepanthen, paw paw cream, 3 different kinds of zinc/castor (inc the heinz one), penaten, amolin, etc etc etc...
I was sceptical in the beginning, but at one nappy change DS's bottom was so raw that it was bleeding (darn teeth poos!), so I covered his bottom with the cornflour, and by the next nappy change, his bottom was 100% better. The raw areas weren't bleeding, and within 24hrs, you would never have known the state his bottom had been in.
So, for a $2 flour shaker and a $1 bag of the cheap cornflour, we have eliminated ALL nappy rash in our house. It's cheap, and effective.

I swear by pawpaw ointment for nappy rash. DS gets it so bad that it bleeds and he screams when i wipe him. Pawpaw ointment clears it up in 2 days.
Paw paw ointment is great. BUT something I have found to be EVEN better is AROMABABY nappy ointment. All natural, only need a smidge and lasts forever! Starts working right away. Comes in a little or big glass jar.

I find the Nature's Child Bottom Balm very effective.
I'm also finding using chamomile tea on a facewasher makes a very effective wipe, and chamomile is noted for it's soothing properties.
my son has 2 teeth all the way through, 1 that just broke the surface and at least 2 more on their way and a few days ago developed his first lot of nappy rash!!
I tried Sudocream and Bepanthen and they seem to work ok but I do think I'll try the chamomile tea and corn flour ideas!
LOTS of nappy free time helps alot and my son loves it  I'm forever cleaning the carpet though
