Just a few questions for you wise ttc ladies on here:-

Just wanted to know if anyone is using OPK's?
What brand are you using.
Roughly how much do they cost
If you think you o around day 14 or 15 when would you start testing?
How long have you got to get some luvin in when you get a positive?
Am I crazy?

Hi yes i use opk.
i normally buy them at coles because there cheaper there. they come in a box of 5 opks and one HPT i think there call conceuve in a blue box. i also check my temperture, so if i have a risen temp for 3 days i then use a opk,. and by the third high temp it normally means thats the day im ovulatijg, I only normally use one a month, because i alswyas get it spot on by temping my self, But i cant just use temperture because, then next day when it drops u then relaize it was yesterday i should of tried to conceive,. so both methods togetaher work good. also try ssee a dr for medicatoin called clomid

I am using strip tests purchased from the internet through fertility solutions. They are cheap and I have heard alot of positive comments about them :)

The leaflet that accompanies the tests explains when to start testing based on your own cycle.

Thanks for your replies. I have just seen some other ones on line I will check out fertility solutions. I really dont want to have to temp as well, dont know why just lazy really!!

well if that works for you, i use a temperture method to , and just starting medication today , as i have PCOS so itis very hard for me to fall, So i try everything i can, But im sure all the test are good and acurate i pay 15 dollars for 5 test and a preg test. and i think thats a good price. but i still see it expensive if u use 5 test a month . Ive spent so much money on preg test just hoping it not funny. Everything expensive with women i reccon,

i paid $60 for 25 OPKs and 25 HPTs. (lol I test my little heart out)

And I figured if I have lots - then I'll get a BFP cause i'd then get to turn around and say I wasted my money on so many HPTS.

I was trying the reverse psychology thing :)

I also buy my opk and hpt off the internet as i use at least 10 opk a month (long cycle) and always end up using one or two hpt as well. (text deleted by moderator)
They are really quick and i have had no problems at all. I pay $9.95 for 10 hpt and $39.95 for 50 opk. (You can order more or less if you like).
I used to buy them from the shop but they are soooo much more expensive.

:laughing::laughing: thank you for the giggle I hope the reverse psychology works. It seems we have similar logic. I was just thinking well I can get them and then I will have wasted my money and I can give them to my friend who is also ttc!!

I start OPK testing for this cycle in Tuesday.
I have my tests and Pee cup in my drawer at work ready to test at 11am everyday :)

Now i'm just waiting.........

I have used pregnosis and clear blue and hate them couse they didn't give me a BFP.

Will let you know what i think of the strip HPT's and OPK's once I've started using them.

Not that it will matter you are already UTD you just need to TEST

I know what you mean. I cant believe what an "expert" I have become in the last few months. I am a ttc bore :laughing.

Nomsie-I think crystal clear get a good write up here. I like first response as well. Thought they were all stooopid last month though when they gave me a bfn. Its so hard not to test early but it really does drive you completely :dizzy:
