Hi. My husband and I have just found out that we are expecting triplets in early July. This, obviously, was a HUGE suprise and we are currently experiencing 1000 different emotions at once. We have 2 children aged 9 and 2. Has anyone else had an experience like this......and lived to tell the tale?!!!

OMG!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Can't say I know what you're going to be going through as I only have twins. BUT all I can say is multiples is a completely different ballgame, and utilise your 9yr old as much as possible... the extra hands will be INVALUABLE!! Don't knock yourself up if you can't do everything you want to do.

Take it easy as much as you can.

and....

I think I saw a triplet pram for sale on ebay a couple of nights ago.

congratulations again!!! Oh.. and join the Multiple Births Association.

Congratulations, congratulations and congratulations! AND WOW!

I have twins and that was the biggest shock but 3 well hmmmm, ummmm, ahhhhhh, not sure what to say really, except completely well done to you and your husband.
What an amazing, spectacular thing to happen. All the very very best with your pregnancy and carrying those 3 special babies.

I was given a book called Twins and it has a couple of chapters on Triplets. Its by Katrina Bowman and Louise Ryan. Although this book might not have enough information for you, I would recommend getting a reference book. I found it useful thru my pregnancy.

You are very very lucky!!

I dont have triplets nor do i have twins lol but I just wanted to say that you should expect it to be tough at the best of times. If you have a good family group around you then im sure you will get the hang of it in no time!!

Take it easy during your pregnancy we all know how hard it is carrying one but OMG 3!!!

I must say well done. I have 8 children but only had one set of twins. Multiple births are a wonderful thing. You will do fine, get the other children to help, and just remember one thing the housework will be there tomorrow lol.

Congratulations on your triplet pregnancy!!

I don't have triplets nor twins, but I do have a friend who is a triplet (natural conception) and she has an older brother, as well as her 2 triplet sisters. Her parents survived but they had their triplets 33 years ago (last Sunday).

Join the multiple births association and make sure you get as much help as you can from your oldest child, DH and any friends/family nearby.

Good luck and enjoy this fantastic journey, just think TRIPLE the joy!!

Congratulations!! I would say make sure you have a really good support network around you. If you don't know to many people or friends in your area i would start meeting people now.

Join the multiple birth association, move closer to your parents (if you can), start going to mother groups etc.

It will be very very challenging, and tough on your relationship, but if you have all the foundations in place now, it will be an amazing experience.

Again, congratulations!!

Congratulations.

My brother and his wife have triplets (conceived naturally). They have one other child who was 19 months when the triplets were born.

The triplets ( 2 boys and a girl) were 5 two weeks ago and are just great. Whilst it has been a long haul, they are a wonderful family and have managed really well.

As mentioned by some other people, join the multiple birth association - they can help you out in so many ways including second hand prams etc that you may need.

My brother and his wife also found some stores were willing to give them extra special deals when they explained their situation. Johnson and Johnson and maybe Huggies (?) were also happy to donate them some goods.

Accept all the help you can get and put yourselves first. As parents, you really need to be looking after yourselves well to be able to manage the 3 newbies!
