DD wakes between 2 and 4 times a night still. Sometimes for a cuddle, sometimes for a play (:nono:) and sometimes for a feed.

Am I alone? :D

Do any other April-June bubs still wake at night? DD will be 7 months tomorrow.

Please, tell me I'm not alone..

You're not alone. You're not even slightly alone.

Hamish has slept through 4 times - 4 nights in a row a few weeks ago, but other than that he wakes between 1 and 3 times a night, and still wakes at 5 for a feed, after which he ends up in our bed.

Not alone at all.

 not alone. My dd is 5.5mths and she still wakes up between 11.30pm-1am for a feed and then again at around 4-5am, sleeps for one sleep cycle of 45min-1hr and then our day starts

I cant remember what its like to "sleep in" :crying:

Defintely not alone. DD is almost 7 months, up until she was 5 months she was sleeping through the night. For the past 2 months she goes down at 7pm, wakes up around 11.30pm for a feed then another one at about 4am. I'm knackered. Sometimes afterr the early morning feed she wants to stay awake too :banghead::crying:

You poor thing you must be so tired. Skye usually sleeps through the night (12 hours) but every now and then she wakes if she needs a nappy change. Sometimes Hayley has bad dreams or whatever and wakes Skye up.

Not alone! Another night waker here. Nick usually has a feed at around 6pm, then dinner, then bed around 7/7:30. He wakes at 9:30 (on the dot lately ) for a feed, then 12ish - where I just can't feed him anymore as i am stuffed - so DH settles him back to sleep. It usually only takes 5-10mins, and i feel so mean not feeding him, but he will usually sleep until 2:30-3am so i guess he can't be too hungry (well that's what i tell myself so i don't feel so bad). Then after the 3am feed it's usually up for the day between 6:30-7:30. He is 7 1/2months.

It is killing me sometimes though, as DD was sleeping 10-12hrs from about 4months, and she has decided to stop having her day sleep now, so no rest for me.

Eli (almost 6 months - June baby) wakes a few times a night - and even more frequently since starting solids.

She normally cluster feeds (breast fed) 6.30, 7.30, 8.30 then 1am, 5am, 7am then up for a few hours.

Since starting solids she seems to have lost interest in her feeds during the day but makes up for it at night time the cheeky girl .

Isn't it lovely to know we're not alone.

I'll be thinking of you all when the I'm awake at 3.30 tomorrow morning.:hugs:

Oh god it's so good to know I'm not alone! I know they're only babies and I know eventually DD will sleep through but it doesn't make it any easier. Especially when there is this huge expectation that she sleeps through and I get frowned at like I'm an idiot when I say "no, she doesn't". :rain:

Hands up at this end..

Sienna is (have to calculate here) about a week or so off 7 months....

Sienna is a perfect sleeper except if she gets out of her wrap or the dummy falls out.. hmmm a million times a night...

If some one could get her to sleep without a wrap all would be perfect:fingerscrossed:

luv the name bel, couldn't of picked a better name myself  and totally off topic but my dd also wont sleep unless she is swaddled and has the dummy. But I'm finding that the wrap I'm using at the moment is getting a bit small, what do you wrap your dd in??

Thanks
Anita

I bought some mulsin from th baby section at spotlight - about 1.5m i think :detective:. Then just hemmed the edges and voila a nice big wrap for a bigger bubs. Luckily Nick is fine to sleep without his during the day now, which means he can also find his dummy if he drops it. And other than the first time he goes to bed at night he sleeps with his arms out too. Makes it heaps easier to just grab him out of bed, feed him, then pop him back in as is with little effort.

I have a friend that uses a cotton cot sheet to wrap - but now it's getting hotter that might not work so well.

ETA - i am still in the process of weaning him off the wrap completely, i always make sure it is in the cot with him draped over his legs, so it won't get tangled on his arms/face, but so he still has that familiar feeling against his skin.

another baby torture subject here.... the sleep dep is ridiculous aint it. starfish gives me a good night of only two wakes maybe once a month, the rest of the time it is between four and eight wakes of varying intensity. she's six months old on friday. i look sixty today :dizzy:

I'm mainlining caffeine today (well, not quite, but I am drinking two cups of tea). We had a shocker last night - I had a combined total of 4 hours sleep. :dizzy:

Fortunately, DH has the day off, so he took Hamish this morning, dressed him and gave him his cereal while I napped for another hour. Bless him.

I'm a lucky mumma....
ds hasn't woken at all over night, unless something has woken him up (not mentioning the idiot neighbours next door who like to rev their cars and scream, up and down the road at 10:30 at night... the police have been called and the wait begins..he he he)

ds is a really good sleeper (now...)... I'm blessed...

Hi all I havent been here since DD1 who is 7 months was born. I know! Naughty.

I just thought I would add that I had a terrible night last night with my little one too.
She went down to sleep at 8.30pm after a decent breast feed and woke for 15 min feeds at 11pm, 1am, 3am and 5am!!! Definately feeding too not comfort sucking.
At 6am I gave her farex for breakfast today and she went to sleep again at 7-10.30am!!
What is it with all this sleep during the day!
Why cant she be like this during the night!
Anyways Im so over it and want it to end real soon. Ive got heaps of settling posts in the settling sleep section on bub hub so u are not alone!

Im considering Karicare formula at the moment as Im at my wits end. I dont know if its my milk supply or just her being fussy, teething or reaching milestones. She currently has 2 teeth and got them at 5 months. Shes rolling everywhere, you would think that would tire her out, Not! She is in bed sleeping right this very moment, went down 2.40pm and its 4pm now. Im not looking forward to tonight

Just thought I would add that DD1 who is 7 months old just got her 3rd tooth so thats why she woke every two hours for comfort feeds (as mentioned in previous post). She now wakes twice a night. Once at 1am ish and then again at 4am. sometimes she wakes twice and sleeps till 6am but then has a long nap early in the morning for two hours.

Naughty Sienna!! Mummy needs her sleep. :baby:

Does any one use sleeping bags? I have a mothercare grobag that Nick has been in for the last 2nights & he has woken at 10:30 & 4amish both nights. I almost feel like a new woman getting so much sleep. lol. Although I won't complain too loudly, at least his night wakings are for a feed, then straight back to sleep - no playing.

We have a GroBag and it seems to help a lot. Still doesn't deter her from waking 3 times a night though. :hissy:

I have b/g twins who are 7 months old. They were sleeping thru about 8 hours a night from 9 weeks old which increased to 12 hours a night until daylight savings kicked in at the end of October. It started to be a couple of night a week one would get up for a extra feed now most night it both getting up for extra boobie feeds. Some of it I put down to teething some to growth spurs. At first I thought I might be creating a rod for my own back by always feeding and not just trying to resettle but I think I should just listen to my own instincts and that is to feed them and enjoy cuddles. My eldest got up 3 times a night until he was 14 months old. I had it very lucky to have my twins sleeping thru at a young age.I am not up more than 25minutes at a time anyway. I guess I am lucky that I am a SAHM and I don't need 8 hours of unbroken sleep each night. Sometimes I get it which is nice. But they are only little once so I don't mind getting up really.

My dear sweet, angeletic, adorable 16 monther is STILL waking during the night GRRRRRR.

hES A boobie boy, thats all i can put it down too...BAH who knows...but hopefully i get a sleep in tomorrow cos the ex is here and why the hell shouldn't he get him up in the morning and entertain him for a few hours while I am a TOTAL slacker and sleep LOL

Ahhh the joys of being an 'older' mother LOL

P.S. Wouldn't trade it for the world...

Well the days of the grobag helping were short-lived - lol!! The last 2nights he has been waking every 2hrs or less. And right when DH has been working heaps. HE does have a little bit of a cold & DD has a temp today - so i am hoping once he is 100% again we will be back to 2-3times a night! At least booby has been the answer every time. I tried to re-settle whn he woke 1.5hrs after the previous time - but he screamed blue murder - once i fed him, off to sleep he went. I hope tonight goes better.

My DS sleeps through 11 hours BUT this wasn't always the case. He was waking every 2-3 hours and I was on the verge of a breakdown up until he was 7 months when we went to a sleep school and he was 'fixed' by the 2nd night :yelclap:
