My DD is 16 months and 88cm tall she is in size twos already(the pants are way to big and fall down but perfect in the length). It is such a pain becauce family who don't really see her still by 1 as the say they are for 18 month olds on the label.
Anyone else have this problem?:detective:

 What I would GIVE!
My 16 month old (one day older than yours!) is 72.5cm tall... and weighs a tidy 9.8kg.. he's still in 0s... but even thsoe can be far too big for him

And I know your pain, but at least, I guess, Cobes will grow into the clothes bought for him.

I get sick of the "OH MY GAWD! HOW OLD IS HE??!??!?! WHAT????? HE'S THE SAME SIZE AS MY 6 MONTH OLD."

Miss B,

can i ask, are you tall?

the reason I ask is cos I'm 5"11 (my husband is 6ft) and my DD is 20 months and now in size 2 (still roomy and still a bit too long) but people are always saying to me 'gee she's soooo big' and 'gosh, she's going to be tall', and I get a bit sick of it cos it's like, stating the obvious.

Though I guess I just have to get used to it, cos god knows people always feel they have to tell me I'm tall, as if I may have forgotten the fact.

do people tell small people they're small?

sorry, drifting off the topic here.

to answer your Q I am 5"10 and my partner 6"6.
So we knew she would be tall, we just didn't realise how hard it would be to get clothes to fit

I wonder if boy size 2 are the same length as girls, or whether the manufacturers assume that boys will be a bit taller.

Perhaps stuff that isn't too boy obvious, like jeans and stuff may fit better.

Also I have found that sizes vary a lot, like bonds size 2 is more like a size 1.

Pumpkin Patch sizes are more on the large size and also specify height rather than age, so mabye steer your family, etc, towards there. And the fashion seems to be a lot of pinafores and leggings so it doesn't reallly matter if the leggings are a bit short or long...

I'm a bit of a PP addict and always end up spending way too much there - but that's one of the joys of having a baby DD, I get to dress her!

best wishes,

xx

My DS is just a bit older than your DD and he is in size 2s.

He weighs about 15kgs and is approx 92cm tall!

Amazing as I am 5ft3inches and DH I am not sure but he is fairly average height for a man, think about 5ft11inch or so.

All of DH's family are short and all of my family except me and Nana are really tall so I daresay DS gets his height from my side.

Don't worry about what people say I don't, my DS is the perfect weight for his height and as my DH says "Bradley is built like a brick ****house" I think that is the saying anyway.
He will be a good footy player if he wants!

Nikki - My goodness Cobey is light, in the photos I see of him he looks perfect though.
