Help Please!

I was just wondering if you girls could help me. I have a sort of routine with my little man but I was wondering whether I'm doing it the best way I can. I let him feed every 3hrs during the day and whenever he wakes during the night. I was just wondering what is the best time to put a 6wk old to bed and whether the bed time affects how long he will sleep through.
Any help would be appreciated.
