Hi Bubhubbers.
I was wondering if any of you could help with stories either positive, or negative, of those of you who've TTC after having a lap/hyst/D&C?
Hubby and I have been TTC since Jan '05 without success, but without medical interference also. Last week I had a Laperoscopy where they discovered I had severe enough endometriosis for it to have totally blocked one of my ovaries. There were also adhesions that were causing my ovaries to be in the wrong spot...
This was all successfully removed, and we're now hoping that maybe we'll be able to conceive after all? But I also don't want to get my hopes up if its unlikely to have changed our chances. I hoped you guys might be able to share your own experiences and thoughts with me on the matter.
Thanks guys :hugs:

Hi, a happy story for you;
I 've had a lap for endo and have since had 2 successsful pg resulting in 2 beautiful boys!
I had the surgery in the March and started ttc in the August and was pg in the Oct.
Good luck with your ttc journey :fingerscrossed:

I had a laparoscopy and dye studies in August, they didn't find anything but the gyno said that 3-6 months after a laparoscopy there is a greater chance of pregnancy, no one really knows why but think it might be from increased blood flow to the area during the healing process, or the dye cleaning out the tubes.
I got a BFP the next month (was an early miscarriage though) but i'm hoping i'll have more luck in the next few months. I'd been TTC for 16 months by that point, so maybe it really does increase your chances?

Thanks to both of you for sharing that with me. I'm trying so hard to not get my hopes up, but its hard to stay logical rather than emotional at times like this!

Hi
I had tried for 3 yrs without medical intervention, before finally seeing my wonderful FS. He did a lap, found severe endo, blocked tubes and a very large cyst and various adhesions. We did 3 months of ovulation tracking and I fell pg in the 3rd month.....
Have now had another lap (august) and am doing tracking again (:fingerscrossed:) but no joy yet ....am starting IVF in Feb if no BFO by then.
Miracles do happen .... and stay posative about it... :babydust2: :babydust2: :babydust2:

I had my first child within 3 months of coming off the pill several years ago and wanted a 3yr age gap with the second.
However, #2 just isn't happening. I had a Lap in May to investigate any possible reasons and I had very slight endo and a couple of adhesions which were sorted out during the lap. My tubes were fine. My FS confirmed that there is an increased chance of pregnancy in the 3months following a lap but this hasn't happened for me.
I'm currently on my 3rd AI/IUI attempt and in the 2ww. We're going to try a 4th AI/IUI before stepping things up to IVF.
Good luck..
Sorry your going through this, i know how anxious the wait can be.:hugs:
I had a D&C and laproscropy in the same month, and fell pregnant with DS 6 weeks later. Ideally you should fall pregnant after a few cycles of AF, but mine seemed to have gotten mixed up in there somewhere.
My endometriosis was pretty severe as well, but i carried DS successfully and am now pregnant with number 2.
Good luck with everything. I really hope things work out.:hugs::babydust2:

I had severe endo and PCOS and was told that my chances of conceiving were slim if not no chance. Stopped the pill and 3mths later was pregnant with dd1 , and since then took me only 2 mths to conceive ds after stopping the pill, 6 weeks to conceive after having the IUD removed but unfortunately lost that one and had D&C, and fell pregnant 4 weeks later
So, I think having a clean out definately helps. :fingerscrossed: you get the :bfp: you want

Thank you all so much for sharing your stories with me! It sounds like it might be ok for me to hope for the best and see what happens! Maybe it will... maybe it won't... At least I have that glimmer of hope now that I'd lost.
:hugs: to you all.
