Hi.. my 13 month old son... has just decided this morning he wanted to eat a crayon! it was just the top part of it.. where it starts to form into the point. It was a water crayon, were they play with them in the bath.. you know the kind??
Is this ok.. will he just pass it thru him??

Do you still have the packet, it should say "non toxic" on it... these days most crayons are non toxic because, well, kids eat 'em!!

He'll be fine, I estimate that between them my children have ingested about 3 entire packets of crayons throughout their lifetimes :D

No he chewed it as it went down, and had a badly bleeding mouth. We took him to our GP, thinking, if it has done that to his mouth, what is it doing on the inside. Anyway our GP rang the Childrens hospital and we were told not to worry, that a childs insides were as tough as a dogs, and that it would just pass through. He told us that a child could pass an open safety pin without any drama.
It sort of makes sense that mother nature would design our little people to be able to pass odd sort of objects without any trouble, knowing how much kids put things in their mouth.
I once found 3 marbles in my then 2 years olds nappy. Ewwww!
