the options?

DH and I have discussed what we will do if we have a boy, and we seem pretty settled on the idea of getting him circumcised. But it would depend on exactly what our options are in regard the procedure itself. The only one I know of for sure is putting him under a general when he is old enough. Can someone please let me know what the current methods are? TIA

Hi. My son is nearly 5 months old and we had him circumcised at 3 months. All we had to do was 2 hours before the procedure was put numbing cream on his penis, then I took him to the doctor who used the plastibel method. 5 mins after the procedure he was fine. 8 days later the plastibel fell off.

If you are not sure of this method do a search on it. It will explain it better than I can. The whole time my DS was never in pain. I just had to apply betadine ointment to his penis 3 times a day to make sure he didn't get an infection.
