travelling oz with a baby

hi my partner,bub (8 months) and I are about to set off on an 8 month trip around Australia camping, we have got everything we need ( i think) however im a bit worried about my bub with dehydration up north, we will be there during winter however i know it can still get really hot! any tips? i would love to here from mums who maybe have a bub in places that get really hot and how they handle it. thanx :)

I hope you get this before you leave - we travelled in a desert area with our dd who was just turned 1 at the time - we spoke to the pharmacist before we left and we ended up by the gastrolyte that is already made up in a big bottle and just gave her some each day as a prevention thing (I can't remeber how much exactly) but it was great knowing that she had it - we also constantly offered her a drink of water and always had a few bottles in the cabin of the car to keep us all hydrated - Good luck with your trip we are hoping to do the same in about 2 years before DD starts school
