Hi Ladies,

I have just been reading through all your posts and have seen that some of you are having aches and pains etc.

I have been having some very feint pink spotting, along with some lower abdominal pains, but my GP is telling me not to worry. He thinks that the pains are normal ligament movement and perhaps some bowel stuff. I haven't had any morning sickness really, just a bit of queasiness.

My hCG levels have been good:
380 on 17/11 (4wks 2 days)
1800 on 21/11 (4 wks 6 days)

We have had some stress at home, yesterday we had to let our beautiful old Great Dane go - and of course that was heartbreaking.

I guess my question to you all is, have you had any spotting this pregnancy or in previous pregnancies where you have still gone full term and had a healthy baby? Or do you know of someone who has? As I first-timer I am incredibly nervous!

I have my first scan booked for Thurs week (at 7 weeks) and another blood test next week to check hCG's. Am I overdoing the fretting?

Hi Fi

While I am no expert on this I have heard that light spotting can be very normal for some girls in the early stages. If I were you I would lay low and take it easy for a few days.

Try not to worry about it though and if you still feel uneasy about it call your doctor or maybe see if they can bring your scan forward early??? Remember your doctor is there to help you, that's why we pay them the "big bucks"!!!

Also when I was pregnant with my first little girls my mum gave me some great advise and that was to not read too much as sometimes it can make you worry more.

Take care and let me know how you go :hugs:

yip i'm a bleeder when pregnant

out of my 6 pregnancies i've spotted in the first 12wks with 4 of them (the first 2 pregnancies I didn't bleed at all) 1 of the pregnancies I bled quite heavily in the first 12wks and he's now a healthy 3 and a half year old, with my DD I bled (spotted) in the first few weeks, and then I bled extreamly heavily in the second trimester (was going through a pad a hour) and she's a healthy 9wk old

spotting in the first tri is quite common and most pregnancies go to term

:fingerscrossed: your spotting stops and bubs is alright (which i'm sure he/she is)

Thank you so much Lissa7 and Truly Blessed, I really appreciate your words of reassurance.

I think you are right, sometimes I am reading too much in to every little symptom and this is probably making things worse. I will make a big effort just to relax and "breathe"!! Maybe I will try to find something else to keep my mind occupied - something useful!!!

Thanks again, your support is much appreciated!
