Noticed stain on nappy!

Hi im just curious if anyone else had this problem.

My son is turning 3 months tomorrow and last Sat only in one nappy change i noticed there was a tiny little orange/brown stain on the nappy where his penis was sitting. It didnt happen again until yesterday. Its only a small amount, smaller than my little fingernail! Still a littl frightening though!

I took him to the docs today and they are doing a urine sample test although his urine is clear (just to be sure), he seems to think it is nothing serious and it could be just be a mixture of poo and wee that sometimes sits there in those hard to reach places and dries up ( He has a bath everyday). He said he has seen it before and thats usually what it is! So i feel better now!

Anyways, has anyone had this happen before? Thanx!!:o

I haven't had orange brown stain but at 3 weeks I found blood inside DS nappy right where his penis was. I took him to the Drs and they collected some urine for testing and it turned out he had a urinry tract infection.
Sounds like your Dr is on the right track by doing a urine test and if it is an infection it will show up on that.

Good luck with the testing. I have heard though that sometimes the urine is very strong and crystalises or something like that and it turns into an orange/brown mark on the nappy! I don't know why etc maybe someone else can ellaborate on that!
