LOL its not easy either way i dont think! ALl my bubs were under 6lb so i am happy about that i admire anyone who has big babies!! 6lb is a mission in itself LOL
If it makes you feel any better. I'm small too. Only 5ft. And my last bus was 9pound 7.5oz.
 natural labour, no drugs.
before that my twins were good sizes too for twins, but they were a c-section.

I dont think size makes that much of a difference, head circs are basically all the same... I am only small and DD was 9lbs 1, I will be happy with that size again..:)

I am 41+3 today and I had a scan yesterday and they said bubs is already 9lb 7oz! I'm about 5 foot 2 and usually about a size 8.
I'm getting induced on either monday or Tuesday, should I be worried??!
Moops - dont be worried hun, its not the size of the bub that matters, its the head circumfrince... and most bubs have about the same size head... my DS was 8pd 6oz and had a 35cm head... my friends bub was 9pd15oz and her bub had the same size head...

I dunno, there was a 4.5cm difference between my 2nd son and third daughter's head circumferences. Those 4 cms mean a lot when talking about 'gina stretching! :p

The boofhead actually weighed less than the squishy head! Luke was 8lb8oz with a head circ of 37.5 and Shine was 8lb12oz with a head circ of 33cms.
The position you birth in makes a huge difference. Check out this article about pelvis size... it's fantastic :)

I had DS at 41 weeks, head circ was 36.5 cms, VB, not a single form of drugs and I am tiny too. I was actually told that my pelvis was too tiny for my baby, pfft proved that OB wrong.

While we're obviously all not the same size... I don't think our pelvic size can be determined by our clothing size. I mean, most larger girls (like me) have big hips because we grow a bit of extra fat on them... if we lost that weight and went down to a size 8, we'd probably have similar hip-size to every other size 8.
Your size really shouldn't determine whether or not you can birth your baby.
Also rest assured that sometimes bigger babies are actually EASIER to birth... I've read this numerous times on this forum, that women with smaller and bigger babies often find their bigger babies easier to give birth to.
There are some tribes of Pygmy women who give birth to babies MUCH MUCH larger than you might think they would.
Pygmy babies are, proportionally, the biggest babies in the world. For example an 80-pound Pygmy mother typically gives birth to an eight-pound baby, about one-tenth of her body weight. This would compare to a 130-pound woman birthing a 13-pound baby.
So seriously, have faith in your body. With a bit of preparation...looking into birthing positions, breathing your baby out rather than pushing, etc etc... you'll likely be fine!
i agree with sassymummy
I am a size 10 and my dd was 8lb 12oz naturally, then my ds was 10lb 14oz, naturally as well, both had heads that were 36cm! it dosent matter, it is very rare to have a pelvis that is to small. and btw my ds labour was 100 time easier, only 4 hours! the weight, i believe, put pressure on my cervix, making the whole thing faster (in my oppinion anyway!). p.s it only took three pushes to deliver him to i did it in a squating position, about nine minutes in total! and p.p.s with my daughter i was told before i went into labour that she would not fit through my pelvis, prove that doc wrong to.

Yeah :iagree: I don't think it makes much of a difference what size bub you have. Honestly my 11lb 1oz bub was the easiest labour. I do agree that the position that you are in makes a huge difference as does your frame of mind.
My babies-
#1 ds was 8lb 12 oz head circ-35cm length-50cm vb with Pethadine
#2 dd was 8lb 3oz head circ-34.5cm length-53cm vb no drugs
#3 ds was 11lb 1oz head circ-36.5cm length-58cm vb at home in the bath, no drugs
#4 ds was 8lb 13 oz vb no drugs
