Hey gorgeous gals,
Just wanted to start a thread for those of us ttc who are still breastfeeding their little ones!
Is there anyone else out there??
Pop in and say hi!!
xx Mel
I want one of these :bfp: under my :tree:!!!
Hi
I am not still breastfeeding. I was still feeding my then 18month old DD when I fell preggers with my DS. I stopped as soon as I found out. This was quite hard for her as she was still on 3 feeds a day. When I went to the doc's (about a month later) he told me I could have continued and I have always regretted this. I fed my DS unitl he was four. I have only just weaned him ( Much to his disgust) as I thought it may be one of the things hampering me getting my BFP. He is such a boob boy and will try and latch on in bed of a morning even though I am all but dried up. He also likes to grope me in bed. I think he will be fixated with boobs for life.
Hi
We've just decided to start TTC. I'm still Bf my 2 year old and I'm hoping that it won't affect conception too much. :fingerscrossed:
I'm hoping for a :bfp: for christmas too! :xmastree:

hi!!
emwill- your ds sounds alot like mine! definately a boob man!! Have you got any good tips for weaning at an older age?? I have been beginning to think that breastfeeding is stopping me from getting a bfp too! When you found out u were preg with ds, what did your boobs do? lol sorry strange question, i just mean did you get lower or higher supply?
madi- hi! Hudson is about a month older than Bayli! Where in bris are you? Have you popped over to the december testing thread?
Hope your having a fantastic day!
Talk soon~!
I don't really remember anything happening to my boobs. They where extremly sore but that was a combination of weaning and being pregnant.
A:hair:RGHH weaning an older child is so much harder then an youngster (or it was for me) because they can ask, winge and demand booby where as DD was too young to really vocalise her displeasure. I could rationalise it more with DS and say that he was getting big and he didn't really need it anymore but it still felt awful. I tried the whole 'Mummy's taking a pill and her milk will be gone' but he didn't fall for it and would latch on and say Mum the milk is back. I had a friend who bandaged up her breasts for a few weeks until the child lost interest in trying to find them so that worked for her. I set a date with DS I told him he was not going to have any after his 4th birthday. I told him this about a month before his birthday and every feed I would remind him. When his birthday came i said now this is your last feed big four year olds don't need it. He has had the odd feed since then but I am nearly dried up now. But I still feel like a meanie.

Hey girls,
I am still bf ds who is 16 months old,and we have been ttc for about 6 months. My af is pretty irregular and sometimes i don't even get it.Last month i didn't get one but i had some spotting for a day,This time 30 days later i got af.I am hoping that i am ovulating and will be pregnant soon.
I had a m/c last year in december but im wondering how i managed to fall pregnant in the first place ?? lol.
This ttc whilst bf is hard business Argh.
My doctor wanted me to stop bf but i just rolled my eyes at her and said i will never make ds stop he will stop when he is ready. She soon got the picture :)

Thanks pixie!!! :hugs:
Hi heavensent! Dont ya just love doctors!! have you done any opks? ive been thinking about getting some, so then I might have a little bit more understanding as whether im ovulating or not...
I have a pretty regular 28 day cycle and DS is bf only when he wakes up and goes to sleep at night. But i just dont know whats going on?? Its been 12 months of ttc and we are still not pg!!
And :iagree: TTC whilst bf is extremely hard!!
Emmwill- i think that is going to be my son too! I think he will chuck the *BIGGEST* tanty out when I say no more boobs!! lol, the bandaging of the boobs sounds like a good idea tho! DS loves to just 'play' with my boobs for comfort whilst feeding..I dont think your a meanie mummy tho!! wow 4 years is anything but mean!! I think you did a fantastic job!
ok- bayli is very very quiet, and that only means one thing! Up to no good! lol
have a great day girls!
xx mel
