Seeking Trainee Doula - Brisbane Area (Tingalpa)

I've given this much thought & I've decided that I'll try to find a trainee doula, but if I can't get one then I guess it just wasn't meant to be! I've tried googling for one, but without any luck!

I cannot afford a qualified doula, so I'll need to have a trainee doula. Can anyone help me find one in the Brisbane bayside area? I'll be giving birth at Redland Hospital & am due in early June (as u can see in my signature).

I will have my husband (we're separated & he's been talking of divorce) in the labour room with me, but I can't see him as being much (if any) support! But I want him there for a familiar face (& he's the only one I won't be embarrassed being naked in front of!)

Have you looked in the bubhub community listings? If you contact any of the doula groups in Brissie they'll have students who need you as much as you need them. :)

one of the ladies (trainee doula) on here is going to a doula course soon & will ask if any of the doulas are available, so i'll wait & see what happens there first :)

mind you, all those places have phone numbers, not emails... so i'd probably chicken out of asking, anyway! :rolleyes:
