Ok so I was just wanting to know if anyone can give me some ideas about where i can find some comfy/reasonably priced breast feeding tops and dresses...

or

normal clothes i can use, i've been lookig for holter necks that untie around the neck but not much around at the moment...

at the moment i wear t-shirts with a singlet underneath so i can lift my shirt with our scaring everyone when they see my tummy.:barf:

Try wearing a singlet/tshirt with a button up shirt over the top (but leave it unbuttoned) or a cardi/jacket. Once bubby is on, he covers the front of your belly and the cardi/jacket/shirt covers your side and back.

Or, can you sew? I've got a link bookmarked somewhere for a website that has very easy patterns for breastfeeding tops. Like, VERY easy.

I used to wear a boob tube under a singlet, i would pull the boob tube down and the singlet up put him on the singlet would cover the top of my boob and the boob tube would cover my tummy... That was for the first few months, Now I don't care, I just flop it out!

MIL is coming up in January with her sewing machine...would love the link...

I was also just thinking now with summer coming along might not be very nice to have two layers on.

I try to wear button up shirts so you can just undo a few buttons and go for it without anyone really seeing much at all (unless bubs comes off to have a look around which mine now does constantly if we are out...grrr!!!).

Now im a bit more experienced and comfortable i can manage to pull a boobie out of any of my tops (sorry if tmi) and i think im doing it discreetly. Its funny though, im not so paranoid about what people can see anymore. I try to be discreet but if someone catches a glimpse of something while im getting prepared then it doesnt bother me at all. A few years ago i would have been mortified!!! Dont waste money on bf tops, they are so expensive and with a bit of practise your own tops will do just fine.

I still have my spare tyre lol and wearing two tops helps ALOT holds it all in for me!

And no, no apology.:( I sent her a message telling her I loved her though but no reply. Ah well!

That was nice that you sent her that message. I think that demonstrates just hpw grown up and mature you are. (i meant that in a nice way too, its getting late and not sure if that came across that way)

Bonds breastfeeding singlets have a built in supportive bra (not just a shelf bra). I wear them under all my tops so that I pull the top layer up and leave the tummy in :). I just make sure that tops are loose enough to be easily pulled up.

Yes, it gets hot, but the singlet helps hold in the flab.. without it I feel all wobbly  Oh, and I don't like the way my nipples stick out with normal breastfeeding tops on, with regular maternity bras. The bonds ones are slightly padded so you can't see the headlights, lol.

yeah i have a few bond mat singlets..they are good, they used to annoy me though as the padded bra bit gets in the way when i need to feed my boy... oh and they make my boob look massive, esp when engorged

Hi

Quite of few of my mummy friend swear by wearing a boob tube under their normal tops. I wear a mixture of nursing tops and normal tops depending on where I'm going. Although I'm just at the end of BF now, so looking forward to getting some new clothes for summer.. yay!!

I just keep looking on ebay and have managed to get quite a few good ones for reasonable prices. The freshmums ones are def my fav, I have three now,cos you don't need a separate bra they are easy to feed in public in.

I also got some from Target in the maternity section, I got them when they were 25%off and they were only about $25 each.

I wear sports tops, you know the ones with cross over frounts, they are great, I just pull one side across while I feed

best of all, I seam to find them on sale all the time, I picked another one up from target the other day, was $25, went down to $15 clearance, then with their 20%off clothing I think I got it for about $11 in the end, a great bargin
