How did everyone tell their parents or partners?

DH and i were having a fight i think it was my mood swings starting before i even knew i was pg... i just told him well you'll e happy to know i'm pregnant it soon stopped our lil fight. I pretty much started to cry because i was so shocked after ttc for over 2 and a half years i didn't think it was going to happen.

I told my parents by buying two little noodle boxes and putting a small card in each saying congratulations your going to be grandparents... they were both overly excited my mum cried and my dad hugged me for about 5 mins

DH was asleep when I did the test @ 5am (Couldn't hold my pee any longer LOL!)

I jumped on him and said "wake up!" :laughing:

DH called and told his parents and I called my parents and told them.

Hahaha.. like beth i did my test at about 5am. After so many BFN's i wasnt expecting the two lines to show up. Jumped on DF and said wake up wake up, once i had his half asleep attention i said "your going to be a daddy"
I told my parents and brothers that morning, by turning up at there house at 7am!!

I walked into the office where dh was sitting on the computer with the test in my hand hand and said up I think I am pregnant... (was a big shock)

and we are telling the whole family this friday, we bought ds a shirt that says Oops they did it again, I am gonna be a big brother

so we are just going to wait unitl they read it which I am sure is going to take forever!!!

Well we brought a little 0000 bonds suit and asked my mum to see what we had brought today, she asked who it was for, and we said us!!!!
We did the same with DFs family.
They were all so excited.:thumbsup:

To tell my DF I called him at work. Was VERY unexpected as he didnt even know I was doing the test and we werent planning on TTC till next year.
I rang my mum straight after. Havent told my dad yet as I know he prolly wont be too supportive about it as he didnt want me to have DD. He doesnt like DF too much which is a shame.

I was 1 week over due. I waited until just before DH arrived home from work and got a :bfp:. I raced out to him as he arrived and said - Guess what? your going to be a daddy!

I have not been able to wipe the smile off his face since- he keeps telling everyone :eek: i can't stop him!

I havent told anyone my partner knows and dd but that is it

I am still keeping it fairly low key. Immediate family know and a few close work friends. DH is unable to keep it a secret. I think he tells anyone who will listen to him. The neighbors know, his work friends and I just found out he has told the guys installing our pool. I guess he is excited. Can't wait til I am showing and I don't have to tell people, they can just look at me and tell.
