Hi all,

I am pregnant, due Nov 25. I already have 2 sons 3 and 1. Having a different start to this pregnancy after sailing through both previous with no morning sickness and very straightforward births! Just trying to preparing food for the rest of the family without racing to the bathroom is a battle at the moment! Hopefully it will pass soon. I'm trying the fruit tingles tip from the morning sickness section, they seemed to help today.

I'm wondering if anyone else had different pregnancies for different sexes......( I'm wondering if this one is a girl, but DH doesn't want to find out and I doubt I could keep it to myself if I find out the sex.
It's nice to be on here as we haven't announced it yet, even though my tummy has already started to pop out. I'm so excited all over again!

hi Jen,

Congradulations on number 3. Hope it get's better for you. I'm pregnant with number one, I'm only 4 weeks and 4 days today. I feel good at the moment and i know it's only early days but i hope it stays that way.

I was so excited that we have told our family and very close friends. As i work as a nurse in a neonatal unit i have had to tell my clostest friends at work so that i don't have to do x-rays etc It is so hard though cause i just want to tell everyone.

Cheers Pippa

Hi Jen

Congrats on pregnancy number three !! I am pregnant with my second (due 30/11/05) and finding it very different. I sailed through my first feeling so healthy all the time, this one i have been sooooo sick !!

I have a little boy (age 1) and have been asking others i know with kids whether they felt different pregnancies resulted in different sex and while some have found that to be the case most found the main difference in their children that were from very different pregnancies was their personalities !! So who knows maybe another boy for you but it would be nice if you had a girl too :p

I would love a little girl but adore my son and wouldnt mind another boy either. In the end it doesnt really matter i guess as long as they are healthy right?

Good luck with this one and i hope we both feel better soon !

Hi
With my first pregnancy I had morning sickness and I had a girl.
With my second pregnancy I didnt have any morning sickness but when I went for my dating ultrasound at 13 weeks I found out the baby was missing a chromosome along with several other problems and would not survive so I terminated the pregnancy. I had the CVS (which is how I found out about the missing chromosome) and was told it was a girl.
This is my third pregnancy (I am due 7/12/05) and have no morning sickness again but am going to find the sex of this baby.
So I guess it different pregnancies doesnt mean different sex (well for me anyway)

Thanks everyone, congratulations too..
well today is the first day for about a month that I haven't felt sick. ahhh what a relief.
Last night in bed I could feel something in my tummy -felt like my previous pregnancies when the baby was turning, but it's far too early for me to feel that, so I'm guessing it was my uterus moving off whatever organ it was squashing!

I wouldn't mind another boy. My DS1 (3 yr old) is convinced that I have a baby in my tummy and it's a "girl for our family". We haven't even mentioned it around him yet so he really surprised me by how adamant about it he is!! a good reaction at least!

I've just been checking out maternity clothes on ebay. I had feb and april babies so clothes were easy then, now i have my first melbourne winter to enjoy! Does anyone know of any other good places to buy maternity clothes online?

I got to tell my SIL as she called to say they're planning on visiting for christmas( from england) and asked could they stay. I'm weighing the pros and cons of a house full of peoplewith a new baby, a 3.5 yr old and a 1.5 yr old!! It was lovely talking about it with her, a relief as DH is a bit over pregnancy talk.

I hope you're all keeping well

Hi Jen

I am not sure about buying maternity clothes online other than ebay but if you can get out there is a great place in Ormond. Its on North Road right next to Ormond station. I am not sure what it is called but there are some real bargains there !!

Good luck with everything

Hi Jen

I'm due on nov 9, and my 2yr old son has been telling me sissa (sister) for a couple of mths now, he also started telling me before we even suspected I was pregnant :) We hadn't mentioned anything about having a baby to him at the time, we planned to tell him when I was at least 2 or 3 mths pregnant.
It's very strange when little kids say stuff like that completly out of the blue, we are hoping he is right and it is a girl, but only time will tell :D

This pregnancy feels different, but my lifestyle is also totally different to what it was when I fell pregnant with my son, so it's hard to know if thats the reason for feeling better/worse at different times of the day.

If you are looking for maternity clothes get a copy of a magazine like 'mother and baby' or 'practical parenting' they have a few pages of adds in the back and there are quite a few for shops that sell maternity clothes online
