I have a question....

When I fill out my ballot paper on Saturday....

Should I on the big white form just put a num ber 1 in the preffered party box at the top of the page or is my vote more benificial if I number the whole sheet from 1- what ever ?????

Kristi, the big white paper is the Senate ballot. If you number one party above the line, and their candidate does not get enough votes, your vote is then passed onto whichever party they have a preference deal with. If you vote below the line, you have control over where your preferences will go. I always take the time to vote below the line, as I want to really have my say, not just let some party decide where to send my vote. :)

Make sure you fill in all the boxes below the line.

It's best to fill it below the line because you just don't know what you could get. For example, Family First might sound good but they may send preferences to parties that favor anti-family policy, such as destroying minimum wages, destroying holidays, legalizing incest, etc.
