Hey Girls:)
My OB has given me the option of delievering at Murdoch hospital and I was wondering if any of you on the board have delivered here and what you thought about it? I have heard from one friend that the midwives were quite rude but from another that they were great so would love to get some opinions as this hospital would be so much better for me considering that its only20 min from me.

Friendly nurses are everything when your in labour so I would really love some feedback if any of you have any - good or bad

Hi there,

I didnt have DS there but plan on having bub #2 there. I have heard that you get a candle lit dinner on the night your baby is born and that you can have DH stay with you overnight while you are there.

I know 3 women who have delivered there, 2 C-sections and 1 natural and they all say they are going back next time.

Oh that is great news to hear:)
The last hospital I went to did the candelight dinner ( Galliers Private) and it was sooo lovely to sit there with DH and relax over this divine dinner. It was quite funny at times whilst we were eating because I was quite emotional (as one gets after birth sometimes) and each time my baby would snuffle or squeak from the crib I would start crying because I 'loved her so much'. My DH was highly amused:p

Both my sister and sister-in-law delivered their 2 (each) bub's there. Both reckon they'd go back and loved the experiences. My sister had 2 c/sections and my SIL had 2 vaginal births. No negative stuff about their midwives and both loved their OB (Dr Blair - both had the same). My sister had her son just 3months ago and her daughter 5 years ago. My sister-in-law had her boys 5 and 7years ago.

Thank you so much for your input girls:) I went and did the tour on Sunday and FAR OUT the new maternity wing is IMPRESSIVE!! So swanky and luxurious - almost like a hotel. I was so pleased with it Ive decided to have my baby there too.
