SJOG Murdoch

Hey Girls:)
My OB has given me the option of delievering at Murdoch hospital and I was wondering if any of you on the board have delivered here and what you thought about it? I have heard from one friend that the midwives were quite rude but from another that they were great so would love to get some opinions as this hospital would be so much better for me considering that its only20 min from me.

Friendly nurses are everything when your in labour so I would really love some feedback if any of you have any - good or bad:)

Lady from work had her baby at SJOG Murdoch and was very happy with everything. She said that they have recently refurbished their maternity ward. Another colleague's sister had her baby there and was also very happy. These are the only comments I have heard about Murdoch. Hope this helps. Good luck.

My sister had 2 c/sections at Murdoch (one emergency and one planned) and loved it, my sister in law had two v/births at Murdoch and loved it.

Guess the proof is that both of them returned for their second bubs!!!:thumbsup:

I had my first baby at SJOG Murdoch and was happy enough. It was very busy and in hindsight I realised that you didn't really get any one on one. Every time there was a change of nurses you got different "advice" but there were a couple of outstanding nurses at the hospital (and one very scary one) and I would have gone back there except I couldn't get in with any OB when I became preggie with number 2. I ended up at Attadale Private Hospital and couldn't have been happier - the service was exceptional, the nurses were more than friendly - they really took an interest in you and the baby (to the point of remembering Hannah and I when I rang back a week later regarding something) and the service was exceptional (but I think I already said that). If we ever have another baby I would choose Attadale over SJOG even though SJOG is closer to us.
