toffee apple the new oral one is for gastro it's only been on the benefit sceeme since may. iam glad it is though as i wouldn't want bubs to have gastro at such a young age.
Thank you for such a warm welcome. I have tried a couple of site and this is the best respones i have got:p..so i think I might just stick around.
toffeeapple I went for Katies needles last week and it was heartbreaking she cried the whole time and was quite hard to settle after it was done. Luckily there was no reaction to them though. Hope your little one got through the ordeal OK
luckymama hats off to you for getting DH to get the snip..mine refuses to let any doctor near his "man package!!":shame:
We have decided to only have the two DD everybody asks us if we want to go for a DS, but to be honest, I hated being pregnant and with my DD's only 13 months apart I was pregnant for close on 2 years:eek: lol.
My doctor has recommended a MERINA. has anyone evry used one of these b4?
miss b my doc recommended the mirena to me as well i have done a bit of research some good and some not so good asking friends and other mums etc but I figured it's time for dh to get the snippity snip but Ill work on it wait until one of the kids is having a right cranky and then book him in ha.
both my girls fast asleep for the night yay
Henry Ill have to go have a look in the weight loss thread youve started !!!
meegs youve given me some good ideas too!!

nmummy - i really hope your little girl gets better real soon :fingerscrossed:
Oooh i bet your DD will love her bike for xmas.
henrygirl - what a smart little man you have there. I have to brag at how smart my little man is. He loves his tummy time, and holds his head right up and looks around. He also tries to sit up, he hates being on his back, and if we hold his hands he will pull himself up to sitting and then standing  Once he is standing i hold him under his arms and he loves it. He does get tired quick though so i don't do it for long.
Meegs - yep he does seem to sleep better those nights, i get 7 hours straight now :smiliedance:Still co-sleeping at night though, am not sure when ill be ready to stop. Yep all day i had to hold Lucas, DH is home and DS has been asleep on him since then, so i managed to get all the housework done, and now can catch up on all my posts. Hope our little boys realise they do need to sleep during the day again soon.
toffee apple - DS got that one for gastro too, it is new. He was sucking it down, he actually liked it lol. You are not the worst mum, dont worry, it is an important one we decided.
miss b - it is hard to see bubbas in pain, i said this in an earlier post, but for the next one, i am getting the emla patches to numb the area first
Aw men huh? DH is happy to do it cos he knows i dont want anymore hormones in my body like pill etc, and we both dont want anymore bubbas.
I considered it, but i really dont want anything foreign in my body i decided

hi all,
i think it was lucky mama who asked why i would have been told that Gordy will have development delays. Gordy was born with a cyst in his brain and had to have an operation to punture it, while he was having a MRI to look into the cyst they found that he is missing part of his brain. he won't die from it or anything really horrible, it will just make things need co ordination harder for him as it is the part of his brain that connects the two halves. his brain being so young will work out different ways of getting the message through but he will probably be a bit slower. but there are heaps of things we will be able to do to help him but we just have to wait and see how he goes for now.
another lady asked about immunising older kids. i have two older kids and neither got vaccinated for chicken pox. my eldest is 11 and there was no vaccine. he actually had measles and chicken pox during kindergarten and while a bit grumpy he was fine. he got to have tv and video player set up in his room. he also got to choose movies fromt he video shop and being only child at time got all my attention. My second son is 4 now and actually got chicken pox just after they brang out the vaccine ( or just after i found out about it anyway). he was fine, got pretty much the same care jarrod did and got over it well, he does have 2 little scars from it on hs face though, but hardly noticeable now. i did find that pine tarsol or qv oil for in their bath does help too.
we have decide no more kids ( even though at times i can't bear the fact that i have had my last one) my husband is going for snip as we decided that i have put enough hormones into my body and it can be so easy for him to stop it. my dr did recommend the mirena to me too but it is still hormones. i did use depovera needle in between kids and there would be times where i am going off and yelling at my husband but in my head i can't work out why i am yelling it was strange my head knew it wasn't something worth arguing about but my mouth kept going. i don't want that to happen again.
as for xmas pressies gordy is getting his playgym and fisher price bandstand thing and a few of those textured learning teddy toys, 4 yr old is getting too much junk and 11 yr old gets 3 or 4 things and i am spending more on him than younger two added together, but it is hard when one littel thing is $150 for him and little ones can get 5 good things or more for that...
now i am so mad. i have been putting dinner on in between typing and i just put meat on and it is off. i spent good moeny buying butterfly pork and it is off. i really hate that, i buy the meat and come straight home and put it straight into fridge if it is for that night freezer for anything else and just as vegies are almost done meat stinks and i have to defrost something else....so annoying, i am going back to complain tomorrow.
i will join in with those wanting to lose weight as i have been losing some nicely since Gordy's birth. with my older two kids i put on at least 20kgs each time. with gordy i only put on 5kgs, i was amazed and when he was 3 weeks old i was 8 kgs lighter than before i got pregnant. i was very impressed, it is all with the breastfeeding though as i have developed a rotten choccie addiction, i will but family size block and hide it and eat it all in a day...and yet i am losing weight. i will be breastfeeding him in high school!
okay well now i have yakked enough..i will talk you all again later
Linda
Just wanted to know what everyone is upto with there bundles of joy. Heights, weights milestones?
I'm booked in next week for Katie 2 month check up so will be able to give you stats then:).
She is smiling all the time, and responds to my voice by turning her head towards me. She sucks on her little fingers all day..cute..she is also responding with giggles and gurgles.
Unlike or first who NEVER slept EVER, Katie seems to enjoy her sleep with her going down at 10 and not wanting to feed until 5 even though she is breast fed...ahhh bliss:smiliedance:
Hi all,
nmummy- hope the chicken pox are starting to clear, pinetarsol is great to relieve itching and if need be try some phenergan(sp) or something similar as the antihistamine will help and also help her sleep.
Henry- I had DD1 vaccinated for chicken pox and although it doesn't gtee you won't get it, generally it will only be a mild dose. Even though Charlee has it now we will still have hers done at 18mths. They need to have it to be able to go school and get your payment from the govt unless you get an exemption.
Meegs- I pretty much have the same stuff for DD1 xmas stocking and she is also getting a trampoline- one of the round ones with the net enclosure, totem tennis a vtech computer and a few other little things. Charlee is getting a tmx elmo and various fisher price toys-those that DD1 doesn't already have.
Luckymama- I actually enjoy my old nappies and find it relaxing to sit in the quiet at night and fold them. They have done 4 kids butts now along with being spew rags etc. They certainly have paid their dues! I have some really cute nappy covers for them. As for night time I always put both girls in disposables cos they sleep longer and have heard it is better for their spines as they lay flatter( prob not the case with the new fitted nappies) figure Charlee is in it for 12-13hrs, the disposable just holds more and keeps it away from her skin.
Toffeeapple- I reckon shame on your doc for not advising you of what he was putting into your child! Don't be so hard on yourself. Glad it all went well.
I too just love xmas, we have to start putting up our lights this w/end cos there are that many it takes us 2 weekends to get it all done and that was without the distraction of a new little one to take care of.
Big hi to everyone else, too much to get thru tonite will try and make it back on more regularly.
sorry.....
miss b- DD2 is heaps bigger than DD1 was at her 8wk check up.
Charlee was : length 58, h/c 39.2 and weight 5450gm
There are so many personals and I'm tired and cranky so am gonna try do them tomorrow...
DH and I had an argument before and I hate going to bed when we're fighting without making up but I am not going to talk to him so can't see us making up before bed tonight....will explain later.
Hope everyone is all good...xxx Mish

Morning ladies
Well I haven't been on for a few days so there are heaps of personals that I won't remember to do, I will do the ones I remember...
Calm- Must of been a hard decision to only have the one as I followed your diary on TTC..May I ask how you came to that?
Jelicpse- Its total your choice on weather to Vac your gorgeous Heath, but I do know that if you want to put in into Daycare later on some schools won't except them if they aren't done...( I had a friend who didn't do it and had a terrible time finding a school) Oh and love the little hat he has on....
Mishc-:hugs:
Hello to our new mummies joining us, and welcome back Chook...I can't remember any more...
On the more babies subject, we were only talking about that yesterday, well as much as we could without interuptions with the others kids...But we are not sure now, well I should say I am not so sure now if Seb will be my last baby as I feel I need to have just one more...But then again I could change my mind once he starts moving around the house though...But it is just talks at the moment.....
Here are a couple of pics for you girls, the first two are of Seb first night in his cot. And the other is of me and my sisiter ( she is in the black dress) on our way out Saturday night....

Hi Ladies,
I have been sick the last couple of days, it was so hard doing the night feeds when it felt like my head was going to explode!!! But I am feeling heaps better today.
I have made the decission that my parenting thus far has been cr@p, 11 weeks on and we still don't have a routine going which I think is why I am having so many problems. So this week I'm going to put in place a routine. I'm not going to be too structured with exact timing but I'm going to make sure that I'm doing everything in exactly the same order everyday and hopefully things will improve:fingerscrossed:
Just one personal as jcb post reminded me...
Jeclipse- Can I ask why you have decided to not vax? I know its a personal choice I just want to know why you have decided not to...
Oh and :hugs:Mish hope things are better this morning...DH's can be so frustrating can't they

Elizabeth's 2 month check up stats:
Wt 4.5kg
Head Circ: 38cm
Length 57cm
At birth she was 2.75kg, head 34cm and length 49cm so I think we're doing well.
Except!!
She hasn't discovered her hands or feet yet. Should she have???? Now I'm worried.
If JM says her baby is delayed and he's found his hand/feet well what about us :o

Hi Michelle, If it helps you, this is what our routine is:
Feed, Play, Sleep. That's it. We don't go by any particular times but I've found that she's usually up in total for about 1.5 hours at a time before having a snooze. You'll soon work out the cues :)
Good luck.

You won't know yourself with all the extra sleep!! Hopefully this is the start of Jaz sleeping through :fingerscrossed:
Elizabeth does routinely 9 hours each night but I've found I have to get up and express or else I end up sleeping in a pool of milk which isn't particularly pleasant.

Hi pumpernickel,
Just quickly for you, he didn't touch his toes or anything like that, he was just sitting in his car seat and seen them at end of foot and made them move, he only noticed they were there and that he could move it, he didn't hold it with his hand or suck on them or anything like that. i am sure your baby is fine and mine will be too

thank you LOL I don't know what's normal and what isn't yet but from you've said about your baby he seems to be on a par with the rest of us so that must be a good sign for you :D
I read your birth story and what a traumatic thing for you to go through :hugs:

Elizabeth just puts her feet on the bar and pushes it down to the ground. It's almost flattened now.
We got her a cot mobile and she is just mesmerised by it LOL it's hilarious watching her.
Michelle- Glad you're feeling better! I too like pumpernickel do the feed, play sleep routine and also did this with Caitlin. I don't wait for Charlee to cry for a feed just feed once she wakes or soon after depending on what I am doing. She is awake for 1 1/2 hrs or so then sleeps, not necessarily in her bed but still the same routine. It won't work out to 3hrly feeds but somewheres between 2 & 1/2 to 4hrly so will average out. She may or may not wake for a feed at night(min 9 hrs) but I don't change her nappy either way. Thankfully I don't have to express or wear breast pads anymore.
Pumpernickel- Don't worry about whether Elizabeth has found her feet or hands yet, she will in her own time. At least she's not drooling yet as a result of chewing on her hands or anything else that finds its way in there. Just keep playing with her and it will come soon enough. Bummer you still have to express at night, at least you can have some milk in reserve. Unfortunately Charlee won't take ebm so keeping the bit of milk I have for introducing solids.
Have found Charlee is very ticklish on her tummy. If we nuzzle our nose and blow raspberries on her tum she giggles and squirms so much you have to stop cos you're laughing from it. Also Caitlin got 3 of her 2yr old molars this week, thankfully all she had was a runny nose but didn't get grumpy. Got our professional photos back last week, will have to actually find out how to post them.
Hi to everyone else.

Hi to everyone else.
Elizabeth does take the EBM so I guess I'm lucky that way and yes I'm freezing it for when grandma babysits or when we start weaning.
She does suck her fists heaps and drools - does that mean she knows they are her hands?
What you said about the routine is exactly the same as us LOL sometimes it's 2.5hours sometimes 4. By doing it this way most of our days are without crying :yelclap:
pumpernickle, My DD didn't really like her mobile but DS loves it, he is mesmerized too. He also has one of those Fisher Price swings and theres a mirror he can look at and loves it.
I have started holding him in front of the mirror and he sees himself and thinks its quite amusing. I've been doing it for a while (holding him in front) but only the last couple days he's seen himself and smiles and goos and gaas, it very cute!
How are you freezing your EBM? I do mine in ice block cubes....was just freezing the bottles but then I had more milk than bottles so I've started using cubes.
I express every morning pretty much and then freeze it, just to build supply for "just incase". How long does it keep for? I've heard 4hrs at room temp, 48hrs in fridge and 2 mths in freezer???
Michelle, Your parenting isn't cr ap just cos you don't have a routine! Silly Billy!
I only really have a set thing in morn and then at night but most of the day is just go with the flow....theres no right or wrong...but I reckon a proper night routine does help with their night sleeps and keeoping midnight feeds as boring as possible with bare minimum light important too. Marc sleeps right through now and has for a while, what I do is have a very dim light on all night and can just see...so when he would wake I would very quickly and quietly change his bum, not talk to him at all and then feed him. He wouold sometimes think its playtime but I wouldn't respond to him at all, I would just hold him or lay next to him and just keep my eye on him.
If you interact with them in the middle of the night, they think its ok to wake then cos they still get attention, if you keep it boring they think, well this isn't that great I might as well sleep.
Thats my theory anyway and it kinda worked with both mine cos they've slept through from about 5wks...?
meegs, I had roast pork the same night you did! I never do pork and we just decided to that night, how wierd.....
I will def post pics when done. I try to do themes with my tree and presents...like 1 yr I did purple and silver, another year red and green...I think this year I'm gonna mix it up a bit.:xmas:
I wanna try and buy a special ornament each year. I am loving the old style clay ones they're doing, very cute.:xmastree:
We are going down south this yr to Albany so Mum is taking her little tree which is a full tinsel tree, just tinsel and then Xmas Eve we are gonna make decorations with the kids...like cutting cardboard etc and decorate it that night, so will show you all that one too.
What does everyone leave out for Santa and the Reindeers? :reindeer:
I used to leave a beer and chocolate cos Mum and Dad said thats what Santa prefers and he would get sick of milk and cookies and so a beer would freshen him up :laughing:Dad used to swap the full beer for one of his empties and eat the choc of course cos he's a closet chocoholic....
Thanks guys for the hugs for last night.
My niece woke up throwong up etc and shed fallen over the day before and baged her head really hard both times so they were worried it was delayed concussion...so SIL and Mum took her to hospy and I had my nephew...then Mum came back while we waited to hear from SIL cos they kept niece in for observations (they don't know what it was???) anyway, nephew and Mum were still there when DH got home from work and once everyone left he was all sh!tty so I asked what his prob was and he said he hates coming home and other kids are at our house (not that we have them over much) and especially that my Mum was there. He doesn't like my Mum but thats a whole nother thing, anyway....I was so sh!tty with him and the cr ap he was saying I didn't talk to him all night. I can't have things out with him cos I say things that are mean and then he sulks so I did it over MSN today.
I said to him to not make me choose between him and my family cos thats just wrong and thats what I felt he was implying and then I said I would hate to think that if my broither and SIL treated my kids any differently to how they treat their own I would be upset...so he said he understands that and doesn't mind about the kids but he just doesn't want to se my Mum around as often as she is...so I said, ok I will go there if we need to do things etc, so it's kinda all worked out. I know he'll get annoyed at me being at Mums all the time now tho but thats his problem....if she wants to help me and see her Grandkids she can and if she can't come here, I'll go there...:hair:Sorry for that little rant/b!tch...feel much better for sharing!
and Yes, DH's do drive us mad, but we still love em'
Sorry if I missed any other personals xxx

the hospital told me 12 months in the freezer! I hope they are right LOL
I was using bottles too but then thought that was so silly cos they are expensive and if you use them to freeze you're gonna need a million of them!! I bought little ice cube thingys that have lids. They hold 30mls for when I only get a little bit out but usually I use bags as my normal amount is 100mls.
Currently it's the avent bags I'm using but I read on here that the ziplock glad bags are ok as they are sterile inside??? Do you know anything about that? It would be heaps cheaper.
I'm not sure...maybe check with the Nursing Assoc? I use the Tupperware ice trays cos they are airtight lids and then just pop them out and use Glad bags...I squeeze as much air out as I can and seal em up and write the date and amount on the bag. Each cube holds roughly 10ml, so thats good...I get between 60-120mls depends how long I get to stand there for, hahaha, DD finds it very interesting when I do it...

I just googled
2 weeks in freezer compartment inside refrigerator.
3 months in freezer section of refrigerator with separate door.
6–12 months in deep freeze
(-18ºC or lower).
I don't think ours is "deep freeze" so maybe just 3 months
Are you manually expressing?
I bought an electric pump at toys r us last week as they were $50 off. :D
Oh my gosh - i just keep missing so many posts i cant catch up! Dont know if i can do personals (still got a feral memory!)
Welcom miss b.
K - you change your username?
For those whose kids have the pox - best they have it now - dont know if any of you remembered (i think it was last year maybe?) my bout. Having it as an adult is so dangerous.
Kath - i think someone else mentioned it -but not only daycare is strict now so are many schools when it comes to vaccination. So if you decide not to have it done be prepared to have to look for daycare/schools for a while. Me - i havent really thought about it - we have our needles on thursday - all i seem to be able to think about is her pain!
What else.... development wise i dont think Monet is ahead or behind - if your baby discovers their feet and another hasnt yet - they may do something else - try not to overly compare, esp when it comes to boys v girls. I have a schedule with relative comparisons on them i will try find - its only a guideline though. Dont get too worried.
One thing she really doesnt like is tummy time - so i think she is still a bit head wobbly but is slowly getting there!.
Had a party we went to on sat night - a 21st - had the most revolting mix on for a while - thought i was at Ministry of Sound! Anyway - Monet slept through most of it - woke to be fed then looked around at the flashing lights for ages - then went back to sleep! Im amazed the music didnt hurt her ears - it hurt mine!
Gotta run - have my mum coming to stay and trying to clean - oh and by the way - i wish Monet would have her big long sleep at night! She has now been asleep for about 4 hours! Long time for her! But im sure it wont happen again for weeks!
Afternoon ladies
So hot here today :sunshine:was the same yesterday too. Meant to be only 19 tomorrow though so may be in for a storm tonight. I love storms.
How funky are all the new smileys?
chook, we are still waiting on our DD's 2yo molars to come through.
Was thinking about maybe getting the kids a swingset with slide for Christmas since DD loves the outdoors so much. Might have to layby one if they come on special sometime soon.
Also saw some Wiggles quilt cover sets in the spotlight catalogue for $45 so might have to go and get one of those.
mishlc, glad everything is ok between you and your hubby again. I have times when I get so angry at DH its just better for everyone if I have a few hours without talking to him, so when we do talk I wont say anything I'll regret later. I usually spend my angry time running around the house cleaning everything.
We will leave biscuits and milk for santa and carrot for the reindeer, thats what we left when I was little so will carry it on with DD and Josh.
giggleberry, we dont have a routine either really. Just go with the flow during the day and as mishlc said, at night just change them and feed them with dim lighting and try not to talk to them too much.
Glad to hear you are feeling better. No fun being sick when you have a little one to take care of.
luckymama, how did Lucas go today? Sleep any better? Josh has little catnaps here and there which was good. I have found he sleeps better on the couch during the day, I just put a pillow up beside him to be sure he doesnt roll off (plus our couch slopes so even if he did try and roll it would be hard for him to roll uphill).
jcb, you look so great in that pic. Hope that you had a good night.
miss b, my little man is only 6 weeks, so will give his 2 month stats when he gets them done.
Joshua is 6 weeks old today. We have a MCHN app on Thursday (havent had him weighed since he was 2 weeks :o) so it will be interesting to see how much he has grown.
He slept from 10pm-3:30am last night then 4am-7am so that was pretty good.
A bit annoyed at the moment because DH has to go away for work on the weekend of the 1st of December. The same day as the Christmas Parade and Carols by Candlelight  I dont drive yet so I cant take the kids and was so looking forward to taking DD this year. We already dont get to have a Christmas tree because we are going to be at the in-laws for Christmas. They will have one but it will be decorated by the time we get there.
Christmas is my fave time of year and I was looking forward to all these different things for DD and I keep being unable to do them. Sorry about the whinge but its so frustrating.
I haven't read any post yet, just poped in to check bank account....But check out the new icons...How cute are they...
Oh and calm I thought we had a new mummy for second...Love the name change too by the way...
Hi girls...Back on later after my bike ride.....:flowerz:

Hallo girls,
I have not posted in ages...
I do try to catch up now and then, but so far not able to replay to anything.
I am either out with the kids or when at home there is just too much to do.
haven't mastered the one-hand typing yet :o
anyway, max is growing so fast, we had some issues with the milk supply in the beginning, not enough and he was gaining just the minimum amount of weight, so I was preparing for formula top-ups. :crying:
but instead, got a prescription for some medication and it helped. now, I am off it, and I think there is just about enough milk, no oversupply, thats for sure. :(
usually, max is good boy, even though he still wakes up twice at night.
hope, everybody have a great evening and I am off to the important thread - weight loss
Hey lovelies.
Had planned on doing personals but way too many since didn't get on for couple of days so will skip them otherwise I'll be here all night
Got our proffessional pics done yesterday arvo. The photographer was nice enough but a bit of an odd duck . Think there will be quite a few nice pics though so foresee myself spending a fortune in the near future :o.
Went and got my eyes tested today (had to wait a few weeks after having Dev for things to return to normal a bit) and my sight is heaps worse  (although did pretty much know this would be the case since have to squint to see anything even a little bit away) Gone from -50 to -200. Apparantly it's quite common for ladies with eyesight probs to have them worsen from pg but not very happy. On the upside got some really cute new glasses and am going back on Thur to see about organising contacts, then will go back after new years to get some sunnies (since my health fund pays for 1 pair glasses per yr).
DH is buying a new pc and all the bits to o with it since ours current one is getting a bit dodgy. He connected our new printer today and it's really cool. It prints, scans and copies. Can print pics directly from phone or camera (has bluetooth and a bit to insert memory card) and has a really cute little screen on it that you use to choose what your doing and stuff. It's pretty cool. I would have been happy with somthing a bit simpler ubt DH is a bit of a pc :geek: and wants all these u-beaut gadgets and gizmo's so I let him go.
Gonna have to nick off as Dev wants a feed and have to org tea and whatever but will hopefully get regularly so I can keep up and do personals.
also, love all the new smilies. It's a real shame we can't use more in each post.
[quote=GiggleBerry;2113860]Hi Ladies,
I have been sick the last couple of days, it was so hard doing the night feeds when it felt like my head was going to explode!!!
Giggleberry hope your feeling better:flowerz:
I know exactly how you feel .I had gastro when Isabelle was 4 month ( thats when fell pregnent with Katie also..m/s up to wazoo). and my milk supply nearly dried up because of it. She also played up when my A/F came in.:(
And as far as being a bad parent because you don't have a routine..let me on board because I have never done it! I generally work around my little ones and their wants. I have found it easier not having a routine it allows more flexability to my day. If I'm out shopping I don't have to race home to put them to bed, they are usually pretty happy to be out and about and will sleep when the get home.
A friend of mine was pretty full on in her routine with her children and in later years couldn't even enjoy a bbq with friend because she had to leave early to put her kids to bed.
Each to there own I'm just saying it doesn't make you a bad parent:yes:
Probably should have read all the posts first:rolleyes:lol
Hi Djf and thank you for the welcome
meegs tell me about it, the heat was crazy, over 40 here!!:sunshine:Really unsettles my little ones they were not happy at all. And as a small cheap option for an xmas tree..try the reject shop or a bargin shop..they have mini xmas trees about 30-40 cm high and you can by little decco to put on them..they don't cost a lot either. Plus the kids will love it, and you can put it up where they can look but not touch.
:noel:
I'm a little worried about our tree this year as DD loves the ones in the shops and is a bit excited by all the deccos and lights..I hope she doesn't pull it down on top of herself!:(
Yay, new smileys...:dizzy::nono::iagree::bee::hissy:I like these ones...
Who was talking about EBM before with me? I have a big chest freezer so looks like I get to freeze mine for ages....
Went to Mums tonight to do the dresss and left the kids with DH, he did pretty good so that was a plus!
Better get off to bed ...DH is going away tomorrow for 2 nights, gets back Fri night, so I might not get on??? Prob will, hope so cos I'll miss too many posts otherwise...

HI girls
I'm new to BubHub, but hope it was ok I join you girls.
My youngest little boy was born on the 13th September. I have 3 little boys, but for the first time I am enjoying being a sahm and I'm just loving it.
Hope to get to know you better, Z:flowerz:
Hey guys.
So much easier to keep up if I get on here at least once a day
OK.
Hi and welcome miss b and zazzy
Look forward to chatting with you both (when I get on that is since have to fight DH for pc time (grr) and juggle my munchkins)
Katkadol - Good to see you back ;). Glad to hear all going good and your milk supply has sorted itself out now. I'm with you on the gets busy sometimes though. DS1 and Dev both well behaved but can be rather time consumming .
miss b - I'm lucky coz where we put our :xmastree:is blocked off by a kiddy gate so DS1 can't get into it unless we let him in, otherwise I'm sure the whole thing would be pulled over in 2 seconds flat.
zazzy - 3 little guys! I've only got 2 ATM. Still deciding if we'll have a 3rd or not but I reckon if we do I'll probably end up with 3 little men as well. Not that it would bother me either way though :p
Well, did the play group thing again this morning and now my little guys are sleeping (gotta love that). Although they normally sleep fairly well anyway so can't complain or anything. Have to get around to doing a big clean up and reorganisation of my house as got some of DH's relies coming over @ xmas so want the house to look a bit better than it does @ the mo' (I don't mind if it's not perfect but it's a bit sad right now as DH moved some stuff but hasn't found proper homes for everything)
Dev off for his jabs tomorrow afternoon as well. Got a busy one tomorrow now as got to go grocery shopping, go to optometrist again and the Dr so I'm sure that'll all be fun.
Can't think of anything else interesting to say so will go now. Might get on again later today but if not hopefully will tomorrow sometime.

Little guy experianced rain for the first time today:rain:,but he was more like this :)

aww! glad he enjoyed the rain:rain::)
Hey everyone
camcat: You do sound like a busy little chicken! I meant to say, bummer about the eyes...I'm meant to wear glasses for TV and reading etc but don't. I used to wear them all the time when I was a Receptionist staring at a computer all day but hardly wear them now...
I put my :tree:up on our fireplace. We have a wood fireplace and I sit it up there and tape it round as it's the only place it'll go...our house is tiny...and DD can just reach the bottom of it. This year will be interesting with DD as shes very disobedient when she wants to be
Oh, Hey...if you are gonna go another bub I have some tips if you wanna try for a girl....we really wanted a boy with Marc so we did certain things to improve our chances and it sorta worked cos we had a boy....:detective: No drugs involved or anything, just...certain things
Zazzy: Hi, welcome to our little chat zone here...we are all very friendly, so you will snug in perfectly.
nmummy: Bummer about the diet...I would hate to have to avoid foods like that especially those 2 as they are the main ingredients in my diet.....Good Luck. Google Recipes if you like...my cousin's bot is allergic to nuts and eggs and she found a Choc Cake recipe he can eat
jeclipse:  Brilliant, at least hes not starving!
missb: NO AF for me yet...I was told breastfeeding can help with it not coming back so soon, so thats a bummer you got it! Ripped off!
It should calm down tho, it's prob just heavy cos you haven't had one in so long, it should settle....
So had a busy day today. Completely forgot I had organised a Pest Inspection thing...got a call the other day and they offered free checks and I said they could come today but forgot and had to take DD to daycare, then DH to Airport, then went to shops...went to Mums work to do some sewing, picked up DD, took her back to Mums for a sleep while I sewed some more and then ended up staying there sewing and helping SIL with a Uni assignment and then we all had dinner there and got home to find a calling card out the front, ooops
So, DD's dress is finished and I'm almost finished my little thingo I'm making so will post a pic tomorrow if I remember....:fingerscrossed:
Well off to bed, hopefully get a sleepin tomorrow....Oh, DD has worked out how to open her door and come out.
She normally wakes up and sits in bed calling out till we come in, which is usually a bit after she initially wakes up cos sometimes she calls out but then goes back to sleep so we wait till she is def up...this morning tho, we heard her call out and then 5 mins later she comes in our room...she has come out a couple of times when she is refusing a day sleep but now she knows she can in the morning, she'll do it all the time!
Anyway, xxx Mish
Morning ladies
katkadol, good to see you getting on here again. Glad to hear all is ok with your milk supply and Max is doing well.
camcat, yay on the professional photos. Hope that you share some with us.
My DH wants to get a new pc as well and is such a whinger I have told him we can get one after the Christmas holidays.
Hope Devlin's needles go ok today.
miss b, we put the playpen around our tree last year. Would do the same this year if we were having a big tree but then where would we keep Josh to protect him from DD
I havent got my AF back yet because my bleeding has only just finished from after having Josh. I'm formula feeding though so I'll probably get it in about 4 weeks time as normal.
mishlc, hope everything goes ok with the 2 kidlets on your own. My DH is going away next Saturday til Monday for a work exercise thing and I'm dreading how the kids are going to behave for me for 3 days straight. My mum is only 2 mins away though and she might take DD for Sunday night if it gets too much.
Dont forget to take a pic of your Christmas tree to share
We didnt try anything special to have a boy we were just lucky and got our pigeon pair. Now with #3 we dont mind which one we have.
My gosh you did have a big day. Where do you find all that energy?
My DD hasnt figured out how to open her door yet but Im sure it wont be long though.
zazzy, welcome to our thread. Good to hear you are enjoying being a sahm with your 3 boys. I love being home with my kids, am going to be a fulltime sahm until they go to school.
shirls, good to hear Madeleine is putting on a good amount of weight.
nmummy, glad to hear Sienna is better again.
Hope everything goes ok at the docs with Addison. 6.7kg such a healthy bubba. Although maybe that sounds big to me because Josh is still only 6 weeks old. Will be interesting to see how much he weighs at his check today.
toffeeapple, we got rain here yesterday too. Josh was like this :sleeping:for alot of the day. Cold and wet here again today so I think he will do the same.
jeclipse, that is one big healthy boy you have there. He definitely must be getting enough milk.
Gosh that was alot of personals. I think I'll post this then do my own gossip.
Josh was a good boy and had a few naps yesterday and when wasnt napping was a little angel so that was good. Even better that DD behaved all day as well which doesnt happen often being in the terrible twos and all.
We put Josh in his cot for the first time last night and he slept 4 1/2 hours (9:30-2), then another 2 hours and 20 mins (he woke up with wind). So I was happy with the 2 wakeups. I was definitely expecting alot more than that.
Get to go shopping tomorrow. I was writing down a list of things we had to do and figured it would be easier if I did it on my own instead of dragging the kids around from store to store (by kids, that includes DH. He's a shocker). So now I will get to go at my own pace and buy what I like without having restrictions (except for the fact I can only use $800 from my account in a day and some of that will be going on my treadmill).
Also thought I had better share some more pics:
Josh (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/anabelsmum/pics016.jpg)
DD feeding Josh (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/anabelsmum/pics053.jpg)

Half smile (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/anabelsmum/pics036-1.jpg)
DD is doing so great with Josh. She loves to help feed him and gives him lots of kisses and cuddles, tries to wipe away his spew if he has a bit of overflow. She now even says to me 'Mummy, my Joshy'. Im very proud of how she has adjusted to having him around.
Have Josh's 6week check at 3pm today so will be back on after that to tell you how it went.

hi everybody!
I still do not get how you guys keep on track here. i must do something wrong...
camcat, i know what you mean with putting house together. i would so want to have the flat nice and tidy... impossible
:tree: is coming and it's still so strange for me. 2nd xmas here and to me, xmas and summer just do not go together but will manage for the kid's sake
bacj home, the ain xmas day dinner and presents happens on 24th. and tree decorating is done on 23rd. and of course, its winter, so its dark very early, and all the xmas lights shine, and there are xmas markets downtown, little stalls selling decorations and all kinds of things, and hot red wine with cinnamon :p yummy....
p.s. I started to write this yesterday morning.... :rolleyes:i seriously don't know how you guys do it. as soon as I get close to the pc, DD goes :hissy: or flat out turns it off.
big issue here with DS - belly time. he hates it. whats more, he has serious reflux, so even 2hrs after feeding, when I change him, and hold his legs higher, he will throw up :( DD was the same, except she liked it over my shoulder whereas DS doesn't like even that. so what do I do?
anyway, hope everybody are having good day
I love dancin in this rain:rain::goodvibes:
Even better DD's slept through the thunder storm yay
meegs piccies are ceeeuute spec love the one with DD being little miss mummy
Katcadol have you tried DS on his belly on your chest? Maybe calmer with the sound of your heart and the smell of you?
And as for getting on here undisterbed by DD#1. I write when she is in the H/chair having snacks or lunch or in nap time. It's impossible otherwise. Like you I get the crankies, she wants to type or she grabs the mouse and shuts everything down. We ended up having to password lock it bcause she knows how to turn it on!
Hope everyone else had a great night sleep.

miss b - thanks for the tips. so i put DS na myself. yesterday, he was screaming. taday he wasn't except he almost instantly fall asleep since it was his nap time . hmmmm.... but i will keep at it, see whats gonna happen.
as for DD. i do put her in the high chair for snacks, sometimes, only with white-color yogurt, since we rent this place and it has very light carpets everywhere, including dining area :banghead: and i already spend enough time on my knees trying to remove various stains :hair:.
the only kids-free time for me is when both kids are asleep after lunch, i use it to work out with dvd's in the launch cos b/f does no wanders for me and i really want to shed those kg's. sometimes. i don't even manage to have lunch myself in peace without DD jumping all over me cos she is up again.
meegs, great pics!! josh is very cute, and your DD playing mummy just lovely. i'm very jealous of your treadmill, btw, i'd love to have one at home. not possible in a flat and the cost.
mish, the doors, hmmm. DD can't do it just yet, but i think a couple of weeks, and she will. i am not very happy about it, though.
jeclipse, i think chubby bubs are way too cute. DS is still rather skinny. oh well, I love him anyway :cloud9:
hope i didn't miss anyone.
p.s. btw, i know it's stupid question, but what AF stands for? i am guessing you are talking about period

i have seriuos mummy brain at the moment i an just having lunch now as i had a client this morning an was hopping dd would go to sleep around lunch but no she went down at 10 so by the time i finished with my client she was awake . so i thought we would go shopping so she had a sleep this arvo but no still awake so i guess no excersise for me today. took meat out for dinner andrealised i didn't have any pasta sauce. we might have some bangers and mash as dh is working late tonight. i know that dd will eat that. the other ay he worked late she wouldn't eat because he wasn't home to eat with her.:hissy:chucked a major tanty so she ended up having strawberry mouse:nono:.
jack ws 5.5 kilo last week so he is growing well:yelclap:
gonna go now be back later when i am a little more alive:dizzy:

meegs, what a clever little man! max can hardly hold his head and he will be 3 mos very soon.
Hey guys.
Quick visit to update you all.
Dev went pretty well with his needles. Whimpered a bit at end of 1st jab and did little whingy cry for 2nd jab but stopped as soon as the Dr took the needle out so pleased with that
Had a sore boosie last night and when woke this morning it was all red where it was sore so rather grumpy to have developed mastitis . On antibiotics so hopefully it'll clear it up quickly coz when got mastitis with DS1 it turned into an abcess that I had to have surgically removed so really don't want that to happen again.
Also got my 1st dose of cervical cancer vaccine. It stings a bit! It rendered my left arm kinda numbish and sore for the arvo so has been fun trying to do stuff with a sore arm (has a bruise where Dr jabbed me - Bled heaps too lol) and sore boob (also left one). Not sure if it's better that it's both on the same sade or worse???? I have to get another in 2 months then 1 last one 6 months after that. Works well as 1st 2 definatley on same schedule as Dev so can get done at the same time lol.
Got my contacts today though and I love, love, love them :yelclap::smiliedance::laughing:. For the first time in ages I could see stuff clearly! Have to gradually increase the amount of time I wear them for over the next couple of weeks to let my eyes get used to them and then go back to get them checked in 2 wks time but already very pleased with them. Was so proud when I got them out by myself pretty much straight away too. Once I've got my new glasses I'll probably just wear them some days when I'm ot and about and definatley won't bother with them when staying home (just wear glasses instead) but will be great to have that option.
Alrighty. Off to bed now so should chat more tomorrow (after I got to Kmart to buy ouir :xmas: outfits since they have a sale on clothes )
camcat: bummer about the (.) (.)'s!
Yay for the contacts, althoug I reckon you look nice with glasses anyway. I know you prob hate them. My brother has bad eyes and has worn glasses since he was 2 and hated them...went through a contact phase but now wears trendy glasses (he used to wear Grandad dorky glasses) so he looks good now too.
Yay on Dev being good with needles too...they say the one with the tentanus (sp?) hurts a bit my my Nurse person does that one 2nd, very thoughful of her hahaha
meegs: DD look so cute feeding her brother. If I let Georgia do that, she would shove the bottle right in his gob and then pulll it in and out and think it was hilarious...shes super cheeky!
I find I cope better when DH isn't here for some reason? I think cos I know he's not here so I get into a routine of what I'm doing and when and I clean up after myself etc but if he's around then I expect him to do stuff and he dumps his stuff everywhere etc so...I don't mind when he goes away...and my Mum is like 2 min away too so she helps out anyway! hahaha We have way too much in common....wish I lived over there!
henry: I know what you mean...sometimes DD has a yoghurt for dinner cos she will refuse anything else!
My niece is funny like that too with having things a certain way only she is more Obsessive Compulsive! Everything has to be pink, if there is an orange plate and a pink plate and I give out a snack or something and go to give her the orange plate she will go crazy until you give her the pink one. She has 2 fav dresses and SIL tries to put her jammies on her and she will only wear one of her dresses...so SIL has to swap between these 2 dresses....she wears them to bed sometimes and they go in while shes sleeping to take it off to wash! Shes really funny hey, but like I said, it is full on!
Katkadol: Glad you're back! You need to get on here once a day to keep up!
I'm so glad we are getting chatty again tho, it died down for a while there! You don't have that much weight to lose! You look great! Love the little fishy/toy things covering your rudey bits, very cute! hahaha Your little man is just gorgeous!
I reckon we Sept Mums have the best lookin bubbas!
Can't remember any othe rpersonals and getting tired so just quickly gonna tell ya about my day!
Went to Bunnings early and bought a new letterbox, cos our old one was falling apart and our mail would be all over the front, got a new clothesline, cos we don't have one at all and I am thinking of going to MCN;s so need one. Bought some paint and have started painting DS room....so excited! Doing it Blue and Green, Blue feature and Green on every other wall...it looks great! Will post pics when done.
Been sewing at Mums again just finishing off everything....and running round after the kids. DD was reluctant to sleep today and she ended up having a small one for about 1hr tops..and DS hardly slept today too...so I'm really hoping they sleep for me tonight!
Well best go to bed and get some rest.....catchas tomorrow!
xxx Mish
I have my internew back yay so excited I was missing this place.
Im still trying to read through all the posts and catch up so no personals yet from me but I will be around all the time now.
Meegs beautiful pics he is soooooooo cute and a great little helper that you have there.
katkadol max is just so cute and he is very long EJ is long and skinny too.
Well ill catch u with everyone else later
Ohh I have mummy brain too I took my engagement ring off earlier in the week and couldnt remember where DP hit the roof but I found it on top of the toilet  I have no idea how it got there though
camcat: I meant to ask you...I was checkin out ya pics and saw the one of DS! birthday cake....What is the stuff on topp?
Hey Amity, Glad you're back! So glad someone else is on early....Marc usually akes up about 5:30am and has a feed and then we go back to sleep but this morn I got up so I could try to get stuff done before they both wake up!
Done pretty goo too till I hopped on here...am going now tho to get some more done before they wake!
mishlc yes im a fully functioning mummy from about 7am nowdays the joys of having a bubba that likes to get up early so im on here pretty early well I will be now that I have unlimited downloads god ill never get off the computer.
just quickly is anyone else on any kind of contraception yet if yes what are you using.
I started the mini pill last Friday and have been leeding ever since very annoying
Hi all. Just a quick msg - i still have another 4 pages to read!
I have had first af just gone - yes it was very bad! I almost went to the hospital. Im taking Yasmine as apparantly it is the best pill for those with PCO.
What else.. M had her needles yesterday - bit of a scream but ok - gave her a half feed beforehand then the rest after - helped settle her. She is now over 6 kilos (at 8 weeks) 60.5 cm long and hc 40 cm. So she is getting a big girl but putting on the right amt of weight. Me - i had some not so great blood test results so have to go back to the gp again! Going to get really sick of going!
Will come back later and read through - have a bit on my plate at the mo.

Hi All,
Once again just a quicky from me as DD is due to wake in a few minutes...she still is only sleeping in 45min lots so I race around and get as much done as I can in those 45 precious minutes!
I have book us in to Bubba Hush Cottage on Tues to try and sort out our sleeping issues as it is getting worse. DD is slowly sleeping less & less at night so on average she is only getting about 11 hours in a 24hour period. So I will let you know how we went after Tues. My MIL is coming to stay for the weekend so I'm madly cleaning my house, not that she would care as she's not a clean freak but I care IYKWIM.
Oh and I went a got a IUD put in on Wed as we had a bit of a scare last week...I :barf:two days in a row and my first thoughts were OH MY GOD I'M PREGNANT:eek: but no I'm not thank goodness.
Anyway...like clock work Maddy is up.
Michelle

Amity22 I used the mini pill as well as B/F with DD#1 and still concieved little DD#2. :dizzy: My doctor tells me i am a 1 out of 1000 that it could effect!! (I was on the pill with DD#1 also)
My doctor told me we were just fertile!!
This time I'm going with a MERINA as reccomended by my doctor as we want to stop at two, and I do not want to get my tubes tied and DH doesn't like the thought of losing even a part of his boys:eek:
How does everyone keep up?! I have a bit of trouble remembering what i wanted to post to people!
Katkadol - are you hungarian? You look like a friend i have - she is hungarian. Also - great pics - esp the bath one - nice strategic stickies! I wish we had a bath - next on our list of renovations - complete new bathroom!
Yuk camcat - i remember you telling me about your abcess - look after yourself, would be terrible if you had it worse again - its funny (not ha ha) i know a lot of women with mastitis at the moment and they are all people who have oversupply - i guess its hard if you have a lot of milk cause you want to get a more even supply but still have to drain each boob - and if you dont it a) gives an over supply - or b) you get mastitis! Viscious cycle huh!
I cant remember what else i was going to say.
oh
Hi Zazzy and welcome. Were a friendly bunch!
Gotta go - Monet is having another litle boohoo - sounds tired. (plus side from the needles - she is a bit more dozy today!).
Oh - forgot to say - she is TEETHING! And like a few other bubs - discovered her right hand and right foot last week! Still hasnt rolled over - shes trying hard though!
Hi all.
mish - Nah don't mind wearing glasses. Since I've been able to choose my own (i.e. once my mum wasn't making me get terrible ones) I choose cute or funky kind of ones that I like. Just glad to have contacts coz at least I can see properly now until I get my new perscription glasses and coz they just mean I've got more choice. Once I know they're all good (when I go back in 2 wks) I'm getting a couple of coloured pairs too just for something different. (each pair last for 14 wears so should get a few weeks out of each set coz won't be wearing everyday, just some).
As for DS1's cake, was a white choc mudcake (coz that's my fave ) covered in green icing to hold on all the other bits. The Leaf bits on top where made from that solid icing stuff you can get, cut into leaf shapes (like what they cover wedding cakes with and make flowers and stuff IYKWIM?) and there where lollies and plastic snakes/lizards etc as well.
amity - LOL. Interesting place for your ring. DH is in trouble at the moment coz he's misplaced his wedding ring. I don't mind him taking it off as I don't always have my W and E rings on as sometimes inconvenient or uncomfortable and he doesn't wear at work as could be dangerous (eg get smooshed onto his hand) and he says it's uncomfortable when he's playing his pc games but if he's not gonna wear it I told him he should just have 1 or 2 spots that he keeps it in so it doesn't go missing but he just puts it wherever and then wonders why he can't find it .
Bummer about your bleeding. Thought about going on mini pill but have decided to stick with condoms for now as still unsure about #3 (prob will start trying about aug/sept next yr) and hoping for the benefit of BF'ing like before (last time didn't get AF till DS1 was 9 months old then not at all again as feel pg with D before got again).
DjF - glad M's needles went well and her weight coming along nicely . Bummer that things aren't going quite well for you :hugs:. Hopefully it all gets sorted out for you soon. And yup, is certainley a vicious cycle. Thankfully seems to be settling down quickly this time though thank goodness. Now that I'm not worrying so much that it'll get bad like last time I'm milking the "taking it easy" part . Although it is a bit of a pain having to go back to removing my bra for each feed, as well as all the recommended blocked duct stuff (i.e. warm towel before feed, diff feeding posi's, gentle massage and pressing on sore spot etc). Will keep it up though as works and would rather thia small hassle compared to big hassles that could occur.
Michelle - Keeping my :fingerscrossed: that your trip to BHC helps sort out Maddie's sleeping for you.
meegs and katkadol - Didn't get to say yesterday but love your pics. Both have such cute little men (and I agree with the others katkadol - love the strategically placed bath toys :p)
Well, went shopping today and got myself a pretty dress for xmas and got a couple of cute outfits for my kidlets. Couldn't find anything nice for DH though so will probably try Big W instead as tehy have better guys range and are always pretty cheap. DS1 was a bit grumpy while out htough as he was tired. He's started to do this really annoying kind of yell/cry thing when he's tired and doesn't get his own way (and because it is only when he's tired it makes it even more annoying as he doesn't listen to reason) so was great fun when I had D in my arms (coz I forgot to take his wrap so was cuddling him to sleep) and DS1 annoyed coz I wouldn't let him have the clothes to hold coz he kept dropping them on the floor. Thankfully it didn't take him too long to calm down though and when we got home he had some lunch and then a nice big nap.
Boosies already heaps better today too. Was such a relief as pain had started to lessen after just the 1st does of antibiotics adn after the 2nd the redness had just about completley gone. Now that I've had 4 lots almost completely back to normal with just a little soreness left so will keep up antibiotics, rest and treatment for blocked duct but should be all good (yay)
Gotta go as DS1 yelling for me now. Chat more later (sometime)
amity, yay for having the net back again.
On the subject of contraception, we havent actually had sex since having Josh yet (only just finished bleeding) but went and bought some condoms today as my docs app isnt for another 2 weeks. Will be going on the normal pill since I'm not breastfeeding.
mishlc, I find in some ways it can be easier without DH around too so I know what you mean. There always seems to be more mess when he is home. But its alot easier in other ways when he's home because he helps out with the kids so much.
How exciting you get to paint Marc's room. I wish we owned our place so I could do that. Will have to show us a pic of the finished product when you're done. Is he sleeping in your room for the time being?
camcat, that sucks about the mastitis. Good to hear it is feeling a bit better today though.
I went shopping today on my own. Had such a good time and got in lots of exercise. Bought the last of the things for the kids stockings, some new boardies for DD, a cute Christmas outfit for Josh that reads 'Who needs Santa when I have Grandma' (my mil spoils the kids so much and we are spending Christmas in SA with her, just hope we can fit everything in the car for the trip home). Also got myself some good sneakers for when my treadmill is delivered next week and a few other Christmas presents for family as well as doing the grocery shop for the week.
Got DD some clear Christmas baubles and some red, white & green pompoms and beads. She loved filling them all and then I am writing her name in silver glitter on the outside to give to both sets of grandparents and one for us. They have turned out really nice.
DH cleaned up the house a bit while I was gone so that was good, even vaccuumed the loungeroom.
What are everyones plans for the weekend? Stoopid election tomorrow, we are dropping DD off at my mums place while we go and vote (will take Josh with us). On Sunday we are having both my sisters and mum coming over for a BBQ lunch, so will be doing some food prep tomorrow afternoon. We have so much on up until the end of January, cant believe how quickly our calendar is filling up.
Might go plonk myself in front of the tv for a while.
Camcat im glad the boobies are getting better are you still able to feed while on the antibiotocs???
Meegs hope you had fun out shopping on your own what bliss that must have been I think I have forgotten what ist like.
On the 8th of Dec is our work xmas party my mum is coming over to watch DS and im going to have a few drinks how long afterwads do you think I will have to give EBM to EJ I have heaps expressed so thats not an issue I just want to make sure its completly out of he milk before I feed again and do I have to continue to express and chuck the milk out as I dont want to affect my supply either any thoghts would be great???
hi guys, well before I forget here are my personals
meegs yay on the shopping expidition who doesnt love a good shop I went out last night and bought a flashy new toaster how mundane But I like it thought I would upgrade to a four slice since everyone want s a bit of toast action in the mornings.I cant remeber who asked about the contraception but I had a wee giggle the other day was going thru the supermarket with dh dd1 and dd2 and saw condoms was holding o two packs up at dh and trying to make a choice between"extra safe " and 'assorted fun" I laughed cos the mother in me was saying go for the extra safe and the other part of me is saying "fun fun" oh dear well we went with fun now Im scared one will break now that would be no fun at all.
djf-:hugs:to you hope things get better for you real soon.monet sounds like addison in the growth stakes. good girl monet keep growing big and strong for mummy.
giggleberry- hope the sleeping gets sorted for you think of the new woman you'll be with a full nights sleep Im sure it's gonna happen for you:fingerscrossed:Note to maddy from addy "dear maddy, please have a big big sleep for your mummy and daddy I know you can do it"
Camcat- glad to hear you are feeling better nasty mastitis needs to go away and stay away.
hi amity mishlc and miss b hope your all good
all is great here addison was so cute today I was at the lawyers office this morning and all was abit boring so I start jiggling addy up and down and she gives me this real little girl laugh brought tears to my eyes it was such a cute laugh a really little belly laugh.Im so proud and no rolling over for my girl yet too busy being nosy the other way up.Going to get my passport photos done in the morning as hubby and I are wanting to go over to the gold coast for a week with the girls in january any of you brissy mums know good places to stay????oh and lastly remember I said I put my tree up I was so proud took a pic for you girls and everything woke up this morning to find said tree on ground and one bloomin cheeky looking kitty kat flicking my christmas baubles all around the floor :nono: had to laugh but was not impressed.anyway after my huge post must be off to beddy byes have a good weekend ladies
Just a quick one from me this morn to tell ya what happened yestaerday with Georgia....
Was at Mums and she had been playing and I sat down to feed Marc...next minute I hear her crying and could see she had jammed her finger trying to open Dads bar fridge which was under a Stainless Steel bench out in the Rumpus sorta room they've got...it used to be outside but now they've enclosed it so its a sorta outside/inside room...anyway
Heard her cry and saw her and was sorta looking to see if she was gonna pull it out herself or what as I was feeding Marc so didn't want to get up, so I waddled over holding Marc while he was feeding and saw her finger and it was bleeding and everything, so I un-jammed it, ran back inside put Marc down, ran and grabbed some tissues and Georgia had followed me inside and was holding her hand...I put the tissues there and held it firmly and told her to hold it up high, while I was cuddling her and ringing Mum to come back home to help me get her to the Dr.
The bench used to sit over another bench so the underneath was'nt rounded off it was just straight metal and the fridge was pushed back under, so what she had done was put her hand up and under the bench and as shes gone to open the door it pretty much cut like a blunt knife....ouch!!!
She has cut a big chunk on her finger and got a little cut on the one next to it....she cried for a bit when shed done it and then a bit at the Drs, I think it had started throbbing, and then she was fine. When the Dr came in she let him look at it and clean it and dress it etc. No stitches, just those stri strip things, said it was too fiddly etc for stitches by the time they numb it and try to do it on her tiny finger he said it should heal back together itself quite well.
I tell you what tho, she did better than I would have! Dad said he's cut himself with Stainless Steel before and it really hurts, so I reckon if I'd of done it myself I would have been crying more than she did...she was so brave!
We got her some "Magic Beans" (jelly beans)to make it all better, she's "Tonka Tuff"
Anyway, bbl to do some personlas!

mish - what a brave girl you have there, very very brave. I think I would not do that well myself either!!
well, yeah, 10kg is not that much to loose after a baby, I guess, but since the birth i did not loose anything, drives me nuts. it's the sweets, I know :D I just can't help it. I gotta start running again. hard on the (.)(.) though iykwim lol
nmummy - you are so good to have your tree already up! and down again , I dont even know where to put the tree this year, seems like the place is getting smaller and smaller with two kids lol
camcat - me and DH sure had a big laugh about the toys all over me  he did take couple of pics without them but no way could I share them, not even with my family. I would be too embarrassed, not very sexy at this stage :o
good the mastitis has cleared for you, not fun at all - ouch.
amity22 - thats a good question about the alcohol and milk. I feed even after drinking but that would be just like one glass of wine and not even a full one. but Christmas and new year is coming and who knows ... I might have more than that.
re:contraception - I am on the minipill (not bleeding, thank god!) but scheduled for mirena in a month.
meegs - very jealous of you ALONE shopping. I can't never get away from the kids. I am lucky to go with DS alone, and thats ok. also, what a good DH. my DH helps too but mostly with looking after DD. better than nothing, right?
DJF - I am not hungarian, but from the Czech Republic. close enough, though. and its all slavic origin so definitely similar features.
I love the bathing time with DS, so much fun. I wish we had one of those big corner baths, so I could bath with DS and DD together.
TEETHING??? OMG, already? wow, good luck with that.
miss b - I am planning to go for MIRENA, too. have an appointment already next month. am on the minipill atm, it's annoying to keep up with the time. have two alarms set for that. thing is, DH bugging me for 3rd kid since I was still in hospital  I always though 2bubs so I thought we are done. we'll see...
giggleberry - good luck at the BHC, hope it works for you. btw, that must have been a shock thinking about pregnancy again , would kill me I think

DS slept last night for 8hrs straight for the first time :yelclap: i certainly enjoined it. even though he was on (.)(.) for 3hrs before that.
Hey guys.
Mish - Poor DD! Big :hugs: for her. Glad she's doing ok now though.
amity - you can actually get a product called milkscreen that checks your milk for alcohol to let you know when safe to feed again. It's sold online. The company that sells it advertise on bubhub but won't name just incase. Just google milkscreen. As for what to do about your milk. I normally express mostly for comfort (eg - not necessarily as often as DS will feed, just as often as need to to stop them from being sore, but when I do will fully empty rather than just a bit) and then pour it away. Hope that helps :)
meegs - Shopping on your own. I'm so jealous you lucky thing! I don't even remember the last time I managed that . I'm much the same as katkadol. It's either me with 1 of the kidlets or DH helping if I want an easier time @ the shops.
nmummy - What a cheeky cat . Haven't even sorted out the space for my tree yet. Waiting for DH to move his junk
katkadol - I wouldn't share nudie pics either and not because of how I do or don't look. I like to keep my bits to myself . And you're very hard on yourself (although I think all us girls are very hard on ourselves when it comes to how we look). I think you look great. Obviously if you want to loose weight you should but you look pretty good to start with so don't be to down on yourself!
Yay for 8 hrs too. D went 7 the other night which was nice. Can't really complain though as he still normally goes about 5 hrs so not too bad.
Off to the go-kart track this arvo to watch one of my sisters and my little bro race and to catch up with my family a bit. Nice quite one tomorrow thankfully but agree with meegs - getting so busy now it's coming up to chrissy!

camcat - thanks for the warm words, :hugs: don't you want to give some lessons to my DH? he is always joking about my flabby tummy and big bum :banghead: I know he doesn't mean it bad but who wants to hear that, right? well, it's been 14years we are together so I don't think he will change now. he always tells me that's the reason I love him anyway :p he is probably right....
Hi all,
Impossible to catch up on all the blah blah on here! Have been soo busy, sp when I have had a chance to get on I seem to spend too much time catching up with what's going on then one of the kids seem to realise I am sitting down so they think it's time they had more attention! I'm sure you all know how it is!!
mish you have a very brave little girl, it always kills you to see blood on your kids huh!
katkadol, congrats on the big sleep, hope it continues.
djf, teething's terrible, hope if it is, they come thru quickly and don't just move around in the jaw for ages. DD did this and it took till she was 8mths for the first ones to finally pop thru then she got 6 in 6 weeks.
I am so jealous of those who have AF already! My desire to have #3 is getting stronger everyday. I'm not gonna stop breastfeeding just to speed up the process but I know my stupid body and reckon I'll need more help to have the third. So will need to be patient i guess. In the meantime I really need to lose some weight and the 2 will keep me busy anyway. DH is at his work xmas party tonight. They are having a river cruise. Thankfully the chicken pox have left the building and all is back to normal, we went and saw santa today who was accompanied by shrek and donkey. Caitlin was beside herself with joy. Can't wait till xmas day now!
camcat: White Choc Mud is my fav too! We had 6 cakes in my wedding cake at the bottom so we did 2 white choc, 2 choc mud and 2 lemon...I'm not a huge fan of the choc but the other 2 are my faves! I love just The Cheesecake shops white choc too, very gooey....
meegs: Yeah, Marc is in with us....in a Bassinet next to the bed....I wanna move him into his room but I figure, while he's still waking early for that morn feed, I'll keep him in with us. He's very quiet, unlike DD was, she got booted into her own room at 6wks cos I couldn't sleep with her in with us, but Marc is very quiet....
I'm painting his room for a couple of reasons, 1 of which is cos it looks so much cuter and 2 because we did Georgias room so funky with the purple and yellow and our lounge is pretty funky being a dark blue and then behind the fireplace is a big bright red feature wall, so I figured we needed to do his room cool colours otherwise it'll bee odd! Our room is a very boring cream colour too, I wanna paint it but you can't move our bed so wouldn't be able to paint the wall it's up against and so no point painting the other walls as it would look funny!
anyway......
I'm sorta taking the mini pill, when I rememeber! I keep forgetting which I know defeats the whole point cos you HAVE to take them regularly withing a certain time frame of the day, but I just keep forgetting. Can't do the norm pill cos I'm BF and I don't overly like condoms....so....We're just hoping I don't get pregnant!
DH reckons no more and so if I do get pg again have an abortion but I am somewhat against them (IMO, they're just for severe emergencies, not for "accidents") so don't want to have to have that argument with him....
sorry, forgot the other personals and am really tired so off to bed...see ya's tomorrow xxx
nmummy, I stay at The Cosmopolitan in Surfers Paradice when I go over. It's the cheapest place and has everything you need and is right on the corner of Cavill Mall opposite Hard Rock.
I stay there for a few reasons, 1 they don't charge extra for kids under 3, and even that age limit is flexible.....Convenience-When we went in April we would put DD to bed and then I could just pop down to the Mall and get dinner or ice-cream etc for us and it's not too far to go. 3, The price....1st time we stayed it was $85 per night and then in April and again next April it's $95 per night....I'd rather spend my money at theme parks etc than heaps on Accomodation.
Don't think for the price it would be yucky, it's actually quite nice. The 1st time we stayed the owner of our room liked guests to have free Fox so we got that (it costs extra in some rooms) then last time we stayed the room had not long ago been updated so it was a newish bathroom and kitchen. They are full apartments, so you walk in and theres a kitchen on your right, then on the otherside of the breakfast bar there is a dining room, then a lounge room with a blacony and views over Surfers and out to the beach which is about 1-2kms up the road and then on the left of the kitchen is a mini hall bit with the bedroom coming off, a bathroom with washing machine etc and a separate toilet.
The Sofas in the lounge are sofa beds too, so we planned to sleep in the lounge and give DD the bedroom but, we all ended up sleeping in the room togather, she in a porta cot.
The 1st time we went over, it was a double bed and a single bed in the bedroom and this time it was a queen bed.
I have photos if you wanna see. They don't have an actual website I don't think but if you Google it, you will find it on some of the Hotel websites when you do a search.
Ring them direct to get prices cos the prices on the net are more expensive than if you ring them!
Hope that helps, but we like staying there and like I said it's the cheapest for what you get. If you are going to, request to stay on the opposite side to the Mall if you don't like noise, cos when the Buskers stand on the corner for example and if Hard Rock gets full, the noise travels up, whereas if you are on the other side of the Hotel you wouldn't hear it as much....we don't mind the noise so we stay on the "noisy" side as it has the views....also, if you would prefer the Queen bed rooms, you have to request it and if you want Air Con you have to request it....you usually get what you want tho, we have when we've gone over, they say they can't guaramtee, just to cover themselves if rooms become unavailable but you do usually get what you request....
Their Number is 0755702311....the ladies are usually really nice and helpful.
Anyway, have fun....I think I said before, we're going over in April again cos we love it there.....I'm trying to convince DH for us to move there.....hahaha
Hey guys.
Had a good time at karts yesterday. DS1 is car (and bus and truck and .... pretty much anything that moves ) mad so he thought it was awesome. My sis one both of her classes (all individual races and the day overall) and my little bro did ok but not as good as he'd hoped coz one of his seat stays (bar that holds the seat where you want it - seat postion affects handling of kart) broke and they didn't see it till when they where cleaning his kart at the end of the meeting .
D had a bit of trouble sleeping coz was quite warm as well as noisy and didn't get home till late (just after 10.30). Worked out well in a way though as once I was organised I fed him again at 11pm and then he slept a 9 hr stretch . I got less than that as have to take my antiobiotics every 6 hrs so was up till 12am then woke again @ 6am to take them but went straight back to sleep till D woke at about 7.45am so still got a decent sleep. Had planned to eat breakkie and go back to sleep (coz antibiotics have to be on empty stomach I have limited windows of opportunity to eat in) but DS1 woke so didn't get to. Wasn't too bad though as once DH got up he let me have a nap so got a bit more still. He's at work tonight so get to sprawl across the whole bed tonight to :p.
Was rather annoyed as made a peppermint slice tonight as have ladies from mothers group coming round to catch up tomorrow and did it with the exact amount of ingredients it said to use but the peppermint filling went all runny and kind ran off the sides instead of staying in where it was supposed to . It'll probably still taste ok but was still very annoying!
chook - I fell pg with DS2 without the regular return of my AF and still bf'ing DS1 so it could happen for ya
katkadol - Don't guys have the worst sense of humour sometimes. They trully do think they're funny and have no idea that some things really aren't funny at all and actually make you feel bad instead. They're lucky we do love them so much coz I reckon no one else would
Howdy to all the others, hope your all well. Does anyone know how Haydensmummy is doing? Don't think I've seen her in here for a while (although the way I am these days it's possible I have and just don't remember lol). Haven't really seen a few of the ladies who used to chat in the Due in thread. Hope they and there munchkins are all doing well.
Morning ladies
camcat, yay on Dev's 9 hour sleep. Shame that you couldnt sleep that whole time though.
Haydensmummy hasnt been in here in a little bit, neither has luckymama (where are you girls????) Also havent seen jadegreen in here since she had little Victor. Maybe she didnt know where to find us.
mishlc, so are you settled with your 2 little kidlets? Not going back for number 3 or just not yet? I sort of have this feeling at the moment that my family is complete. Our original plan before I had Josh was to go back for #3 September 2008 but Im not so sure anymore. DH said he will be happy either way. Will see how I feel about it in a years time might want another one by then.
chook, our local Christmas parade is on this weekend and features shrek and donkey too. Unfortunately DH is away this weekend for work and I am only on my L's so I cant take the kids even though I had been looking forward to it all year
:fingerscrossed: you wont need help with baby #3.
nmummy, we had to upgrade to a 4-slice toaster a while back too. Seemed that everytime I was making myself toast DD would want some too.
I had to buy condoms the other day too. Was so weird after not needing them for so long  Must say though I stuck with the 'extra safe' ones.
How cute that little Addison is laughing now. Cant wait for Josh to start with the giggles.
Looking forward to seeing pics of your Christmas tree.
Had our BBQ lunch yesterday with my sisters and mum so that was good. Thank god we used paper plates and own a dishwasher, DH and I were so exhausted after it Im glad I only had to throw some stuff in the dishwasher and take out the rubbish.
Have pictures of DH, DD and Josh sleeping in the afternoon, it was so cute. Will post them later on.
No plans at all for this week which is nice because DH is away from Saturday-Monday then we have docs app next Tuesday and have to go visiting family and have a dress fitting on the 9th, then a MCHN app on the 13th, then have to clean the house and pack our bags to head to SA on the 16th. Will miss all you guys for the 3 weeks :(
hello all just a quick one EJ has just woken up and im about to head out the door.
We are thinking of having No 2 allot sooner then orignally planned we will prob start trying around bubs 1st birthday as apposed to his 2nd.
Camcat glad that you had fun yesterday and YAY for D sleeping 9 hrs thats great pitty you couldnt get that much sleep aswell
Meegs I hear you on owning a dishwasher I love it would be lost without it. DP and I are allways tired sunday arvo thats our relaxing time although we never seem to get it (but thats another story altogether).
EJ slept really well last night 9pm till 3.30am then 4am till 7.30am so I had a great nights sleep thank god because I needed it.
Well im off to visit my mum ill be back soon
Hi girls
Gosh a lot of talking going on lately...I can't remember who posted what so I will just answer some ramdom questions....
Haydensmummy is fine I chat to her everyday, so she is still around just a little busy at the moment...
Conceception here is just condoms as hubby doesn't want me back on the pill plus I am really forgetful in taking it anyway....At the moment we are in talks about another baby, he doesn't really want another but I do but that could change by next year, so I guess I will see how I feel when Seb is one...If I happen to fall pregs then so be it, he wouldn't even ask me to get rid of it....
Its now 29days until :noel: I so can't wait, we are putting up the lights this weekend and the :tree: on Sunday afternoon when oldest DD gets home from a Girl Guide camp...
Just a little vent...Yesterday we were at PIL for lunch and we were talking about Christmas when SIL says she wasn't buying presents for the adults this year as there are too many kids to by for (there are 7..3 are hers and 4 are mine) I am like oh ok then but I already have your present, which I bought last week and she goes oh thats fine you can still give it to me just don't expect me to give you one back in return..I was so mad  How rude is that I am so not giving her my present now, why is alright for us to buy her one but not her buy us one....:nono:
OH that feels better...Well better go lots to do still while the boys are napping...Be back on later.....
jcb, we just buy for the kids too with my bro and DH's Sis...have a $50 limit but this year I've said $50 limit between the kids, cos we all have 2 each and it can get expensive plus they don't really need much anyway as they are all young....
meegs, Def stopping now for planned kidlets but if an accident happens I won't be overly upset about it...I don't mind, DH does. But we are happy with 2 as we want to be able to do lots of holidays, Interstate and Overseas and have a good house etc and can do it easier with 2....
DS waking up, goot fly....

hey all!
just real quick note from me to let you know i'm still here.
bub has been sleeping real bad at night, waking every hr or sometimes every half hr.
i've been trying all sorts of things but nothing is working.
so i'm real tired atm with that and my polycythemia and anemia and haven't been online too much.
my doc and health nurse wrote me referals to the ellen barron family centre, some of u might know it by its old name - riverton?
anyway u stay there for 4nights 5days and they help you with getting your baby to sleep thru the night.
i've had some friends go there and their bubs have slept thru ever since, so i'm really excited about it.
anyway i better go to bed cause bub went down 15mins ago and i gotta try get as much sleep as possible, hoping to get at least a half hr nap.
bye hope every1 is well!
Hi ladies.
Just a quick one as D sleeping so gonna go try get some myself too.
Had the mums around from DS1's mothers group this morning. Was really nice to catch up and chat, although all of the kids are getting so big and grown up now which is sad and exciting at the same time. The peppermint slice was pretty tasty still even with the runny peppermint bit so was glad about that .
D went 8hrs last night too which was nice. I got even less than the night before as was busy with bits and pieces and then couldn't get to sleep once I went to bed so ended up with less than 4hrs for the night myslef but got a good 2 hr nap in the arvo which made all the difference so now hoping that he goes another 8 or 9 tonight so I can actually benefit from it lol. Would be great if this is the new routine but not sure how we'll go as he naps well during the day too (generally does a 3-5 hr stretch in the middle somewhere) so he may not keep it up. Who knows?
meegs - You sound just like me ATM. I always said 3 for sure pretty much but since D arrived I'm unsure about #3. If we do will prob try about Aug/Sept or so next year but definately playing it by ear at the moment. Probably will end up going for #3 though coz I they're so cute when they're little (sigh - though they grow so fast)
amity - Yay that EJ slept well too . Wouldn't it be funny if a few of us end up trying for the next bubs at the same times and end up all due at the same times again.
jcb - Glad you feel better after venting . I love that I can come on here and have a whinge to make me feel better if I need to. I wouldn't give her a pressie either. Not meaning I'd only give a present because I expected one in return. It's more that I feel family should buy for each other or not at all as it's just more fair. If I bought a gift for a friend I wouldn't expect to get one necessarily as it's my choice to do as a token of my friendship for them. With family, I would expect one back as they're supposed to love me back as much as I love them so would feel a bit sad if they didn't return the favour. Even if it was something really small and crappy, It's just the right thing to do. Therefore if I wasn't going to give family a gift I'd tell them not to give me one either, although I'd still do a nice card and prob make something for them (eg biscuits, a slice etc). Sorry that went on so long, don't quite know how that happened
HM - Bummer about the sleep probs. Hope you get it sorted soon, although heading to the sleep place you're going to will prob make all the difference. Have a similar thing here that peopple I know went to and they all said it worked wonders so I'm sure will do the same for you. Glad to hear you're OK though. Was just wondering how you where going when hadn't seen you around :D. Completely understandable you not getting on much though
Anyways, off to bed now so catch ya's tomorrow (with any luck lol)

hey girls
Just a quick one from me as i don't really have so much time to spend on here during the day as DS has gone back to not sleeping. He sleeps 7 hours at night though, hence why i am on here so early.
All is going pretty well. Im loving the MCN now, they are so cute and Lucas is in them full-time now.
Nothing really new here.
Hope you are all ok, sorry to the ones who are having issues at the moment, i hope they resolve soon :hugs:

haydens mummy hope all goes well with the :sleeping:sleep clinic.:hugs:
My goodness things have been busy here!!:ecomcity:
Camcat I completly understand about christmas shopping DD#1 tries to grab everything from the shelfs and I constantly have to tell her to stop bothering DD#2 as we have the toddler seat mounted to the front of the pram. Glad everything else has settled down for you.
Amity22 I spoke to my nurse about this the other day. (camcats idea is awesome wish I had known!) If you can't get hold of them in time my nurse told me if I drank for 5 hrs or so to empty my boobs completly when I got home and again in the morning and half b4 feeding that it should be fine as alcohol disolves differently into the milk as it does blood.
Mishlc love magic beans evn super snakes are great. Hope her little finger is on the mend.
You sound like us DD#1 was in her own room by 2 weeks in she woke every 2-3 hrs, and was SOOOO noisey even when she was asleep. DH and I needed some sleep! DD#2 is still in her bassinet with us she sleeps so good.
chook76 don't be jealous of the return of the nasty A/F. I had only just stopped bleeding from having Katie and now I have had A/F going on 3 wks this week. I feel like absolute ****. Yay that your little one feels better:smiliedance:
JCB OMG how rude!!!!:thumbsdown:so does that mean that you only have to buy 3 xmas presents for her kids to share as well?? tell her it MUST be even!!! hee hee see how she likes it then!we never spend alot on adults but its nice to give them something small
Haydensmummyhope all works out for you and good luck.
And a hello to everyone else I might have missed
We got our tree up the other night:tree:. love it. DD#1 has been supisingly good and has stayed away after a stern talking to about trying to pull the lights off!:nono: We even got some of the outside lights up aswell, lovin xmas this year. Can't believe how quick this year is going.
Katie is still sleeping her 7 or so. I f I could get rid of A/F things would be so much better.
Is anyone elses DH scared of changing bubs nappy? he changes DD#1 but not Katie? weird??

Hi Ladies,
We are back from sleep clinic and I am so proud of Maddy. We learned so much and yet what we learned was so basic but it worked. Maddy had a 45min nap when we got there and then she had a 2.5 hour nap after that:cloud9: and when we got home I put her down in her cot and she is still sleeping now:sleeping: I highly recommend where I went so if anyone wants the details let me know. The real test will be tonight when she wakes at 12am...I'll let ya know how we go.
Michelle
:smiliedance:yay for you giggleberry glad things are on the up and up for you and maddy!!

lucks looking up..hope the night goes well for you
michelle - Got my :fingerscrossed: for ya babe. And Maddy - :yelclap:for sleeping better today. Keep it up for your mummy.
luckymama - I'm gonna call you LM from now on as quicker . Bummer that Lucas not sleeping as much but at least he's still doing ok at night for ya.
miss b - AF already would suck! You may have already said but are you bf or ff? Would be a real bummer to get AF back if you're bf as that's meant to be one of the bonuses of it (although I know it doesn't always happen :(). I have the saem probs with DS1 and the toddler seat. He means well and thinks he's helping but I'm constantly having to grab his arm/hands to stop him poking, patting or otherwise mauling DS2 :laughing:.
Well, had my post birth checkup with ob today (a bit late I know - I forgot to call till about 4 or 5 weeks after and this was the first time I could get). All good which was nice to hear. He said it probably took me so long to stop bleeding coz I was busy with DS1 so didn't really get as much rest as I probably should have but never mind.
Other than that not much happening for me so will head off now and hopefully chat more tomorrow.
Keep well all.

missB, OMG...had you just given birth in that "first cuddle" pic??? You look amazing! Did you deliver or have CS? your bubs are gorgeous btw and love your little puppy.....girl or boy?
Michelle, Yay for Maddy sleeping better, hope this is the beginning of better nights for you! I would seriously be insane if my bubs were like yours and HM.....so really hope this is it!
camcat, Don't worry...I didn't even have my check up with the GP. Cos I had the midwife, she sorta checked me off and then chatted with Health Nurse anyway so couldn't be bothered with seeing my GP, as I didn't have any concerns so seemed pointless, hahaha
Anywya, I'm off to bed....been perving at Beckham watching the soccer. I know everyone else is in line but I reckon he is just HOT! I never thought there was much upstairs but after watching that interview he's a bit more intellegent? don't know if thats the word, than I thought.....anyways, he's HOT, HOT, HOT...hahaha hmmmm sweet dreams to me xxx Mish
Ok I must be quick my computer is playing up and driving me insane it keeps disconnecting the internet and I loose everything.
Missb great photos and thanks for the info about the breastfeeding its good to know.

Thanks girls...as for the night, well not so good but she didn't fall asleep on the boob once which is a real acheivement. She went down at 730 and slept til 1030 but was then up every 2 hours after that. I think I need to do formula top ups in the evening to really fill her up so I might get a longer block but we found out that Maddy has silent reflux and that is why she was having so many problems so that could make it worse.
Sorry for the quick me me posts, I'll try and get back on later to do some personals.
Good Luck HM, the lady that we saw yesterday used to work there before she opened her own private practise and if the people there are anything like her you'll get your problems sorted quick smart.:hugs:
Michelle
camcat, I did the same thing re gp app. I didnt call to book it until Josh was around 4 weeks so mine is on Tuesday (8weeks after having him).
Glad everything is all good. My bleeding started again a couple of days after finishing so dont know whether it is AF back (since Im not bf) or if it is just from running around after DD.
miss b, great pics. 2 very adorable little girls you have there.
amity, hope EJ's needles go well tomorrow. Josh is getting his at my gp app on Tuesday. I know what you mean about how fast the time has gone. They get so big, so quick.
How much does EJ weigh now? Josh was 4.9kg last Thursday.
nmummy, hope Addison gets better soon. Poor little bubba.
giggleberry, glad to hear Maddy is doing ok with her sleeping now. Hope her nights get better soon though.
luckymama, hope Lucas starts sleeping a bit more in the day for you soon. Great that he is sleeping well at night though.
mishlc, how is your DD's finger going? Healing well?
Dont know whether I wrote in a previous post or not but we found out that Josh was suffering from reflux (yukky big spews after every feed, having little catnaps all day and waking easily, feeding every 2 and a half hours). We started him on the S26 anti-reflux formula and after one day he is no longer spewing after feeds, had a 2 and a half hour nap yesterday afternoon and only feeds every 4 hours :yelclap: Still working on his sleeping at night. His average is a 4-5 hour block, but after that he seems to wake every hour or 2 (I think due to wind he never seems to settle down properly after his first wakeup). Any ideas? Should I maybe start adding a few drops of infacol to his bottles?
How is everyones Christmas shopping going? We just have a few gifts left to buy for mine and DH's parents and a few of our siblings. Getting very close now. Oh and I found an ad in our local paper for a free family fun day on the 8th with facepainting, pony rides, free sausage sizzle and fairy floss plus heaps more and it is followed by the carols by candlelight so we get to take the kids to that :smiliedance: So excited, I cant wait.
DH called me up just before and he is looking at getting out of the Defence Force at the end of next year. He's really not enjoying it anymore. He has always wanted to be a cop so he is looking into that now. Will be a bit of a drop in pay but at least he will be happier. It has been another thing that has made us decide we are done having children. We both feel our family is complete.
Anyway I think I have been jabbering on long enough. Hope everyone has a good day

Michelle
what type of things did u learn at the clinic??
can i ask where it was and how much?? the one i got reffered to is public and there is a bit of a wait, prob a min of a mth, i don't wanna be sleepless for that much longer or maybe even longer than that!
Afternoon,
Will be quick, Charlee's not sleeping so well today, maybe the heat?
Michelle- sorry the night didn't go so well bt it's a work in progress and small achievements amount to a happier family(and more importantly a happy mummy!)
nmummy- you poor thing, hope it's not a real bad case but the timing is right for the spots to have come out.
hm- I know in Vic you can also speak to the sleep places on the phone and get advice prior to booking in for day or week stays, hope you get some answers soon. Have you tried reading a book sleep right, sleep tight. Your local library will have it, it was my saving grace with Caitlin.
Well DH just rang to say he was offered a work transfer doing the same role from Melb to Sydney. They pay relocation costs and increase pay to cover the additional living costs etc. turns out they will pay an extra $30k. Bad timing really, we loved it there several years ago when we were based there but all our family is here both sister and parents are about a 2-3 min drive. brothers are not too far either. I don't use any of the family for babysitting but knowing they are there is great so told DH I don't want to move yet while we are still having kids(hopefully another 2 or 3). He was cool about it and was grateful he was offered the job anyway.
Hi to everyone else.

hello ladies, well i have some time to catch up on personals now.
meegs:sorry to here josh has reflux horrid stuff that a freind of mine baby girl suffered from reflux.
giggleberry: sorry to here your nigh wasn't a great as expected but i guess it takes time. i am quite fortunate that jack sleeps 5 hrs then 2hr then 2 hrs so i get some sleep.
nmummy : i hate the pox soryy tp her addy his them now:hair:
jcb:sil what a b.arch i would never do sonething like that at least she could have said that next year thats what they were doing seing you already bought a pressie . bugger her keep it for your self.
as for me had busy week so for worked monday then dh work back doing overtime until 8pm ( he started at 6am) so i had to do dinner baths and bed time routien by myself challenging but managed. yeasterday went to north lakes withone of dd friends and ther mummy. how awsome is it now it done up very mother friendly. dh worked back til 6pm more overtime.:fingerscrossed: he comes home earlier tonight money would be good but he needs a little break so do ialmost finish christmas shopping only 3 pressies to get now .i ordered my christmas photo ceremic decorations from rabbit photo today. very cool the put you photo on the ornament mine are stars i did one from last year of holly and one of jack and holly from this year. can't wait for them to arrive takes 2 weeks though. i will be doing one every year. picked up to teddy decos with the kids name on them yeasterday very cute.
well thats all from me atm
:noel:
chook, it is very handy having family nearby. My DH wants to do his training for the police force in Adelaide (we're currently in Vic where my family is). SA will be ok though because thats where his family is, so will still have help around for if we need it. Good that your hubby is happy to do what suits you. Mine is the same.
henrygirl, I have to do the whole fed, bathed and bed routine on my own tonight as DH has a work thing to go to. Although will only be for DD because Josh doesnt go down til 9-ish and DH should be home by then.
I ordered some star-shaped tree ornaments with the kids photos online today as well, how weird is that? I got mine from snapfish though. I got an email earlier saying that they are already finished and will get posted tomorrow, so I should have them early-mid next week. Thats a great idea about getting a new one each year, I might have to do that too

unfortunately the sleep clinic wont give advice over the phone, i tried :(
health nurse has been giving me lots of ideas but nothing is working,
at least bub is a happy bub when he is up thru the night,
he never cries just smiles and giggles away, he thinks its party time, lol.
Hey Meegs I actually havnt hed EJ weighed since he was 4 weeks but ill be getting him done tomorrow so ill let you know im guessing its a fair bit he feels pretty heavy now I think at least 5.5kg im telling you he is huge.
Michelle hopefully maddy starts to get better during the night for you soon.
haydensmummy I hope you dont have to wait to long I wouldnt like to have to go over a month without getting a good nights sleep :fingerscrossed: that things improve for you soon.
Ej has had such a bad day he wont sleep for more then 45min at a time so as soon as I start to do something he screams ohh well its lucky he sleeps so well at night otherwise I would be going crazy I think.
Does anyone elses bubs always wake up cranky as soon as EJ wakes up he screams the house down there is none of this giving me a cute little smile when I go to get him out of his bassinett it like feed me NOW!!!!!

Hi guys, just another quick hello from me.
Just started Elimination Communication with my little monkey and he has already done wees and poos in the potty :D Still putting MCN on in between though. Nothing new really from this end though, DS is actually asleep without me holding him, but he is on the couch next to me, so i cant move anyway  oopsy, oh well, he will wake up soon.
luckymama, what is elimination communication? I've never heard of it.
haydensmummy, hope Hayden starts sleeping better at night soon. A month is a long time when it comes to sleepless nights. Are you getting much rest during the day?
amity, Josh isnt that great at having day sleeps most of the time. Except yesterday when he had a 2 and a half hour nap and then today he has slept almost all day. Other than that he usually just catnaps all day (and usually when Im holding him). Might be something to do with the anti-reflux formula I've got him on that has made him sleep more.
When Josh wakes up he usually just fidgets around making little whinging noises, never wakes up screaming but my god when he builds it up to a scream he is soooo loud.
Josh has been getting himself off to sleep a few times lately. One minute he'll be sitting in his bouncer looking around and the next he will be fast asleep, no crying or anything. Very nice when he does it :)

Elimination Communication...isn't that no nappies? or at least sounds like your heading for that hey LM?
bbl for more
missB, OMG...had you just given birth in that "first cuddle" pic??? You look amazing! Did you deliver or have CS? your bubs are gorgeous btw and love your little puppy.....girl or boy?
awe thank you...nope, no CS for me! thats after 30 hrs of labour (15 of them in hospital!)
Amity22..hope the needles went well for your little one. /heres to a good night sleep for all mummies.
Giggleberry silent reflux?? i have never heard of it. Hope your DD is feeling better today.:fingerscrossed: for a good sleep tonight.
meegs thanks for havin a looksy at my pics..glad you enjoyed..yay on hubby being around more, we are doing the carols this year also, should be fun. we lost touch with xmas a bit b4 we had our bubs. Hope you little man getys well soon.
Chook76 well your man must be doig something right thats great news. I can understand not wanting to leave though we were contemplating a move to perth just b4 DD#1 but wouldn't think of eaving our familys now, not until they are much older. We want them to be surrounded by thier family.
nmummy you poor thing, there is nothing more horrible than seeing your little ones that way. Lets hope this will be the last you ever see of them nasty pox
henrygirl i know how you feel about Dh not being there. My dh always has a habit of disappearing at bath and bed time either walking the dog or going for his daily swim, maybe I should start to leave the house at that time!!!lol
Trying to organise all the family for xmas lunch. DH and I want to have it mid afternoon about 2/3 oclock but everyone else thinks it's to late any ideas on how to put or point across and have it our way without starting an all out war?
We also want to stay home as we can settle the kids easier, but they (MIL) keep telling us to just go to thier house!!!:hair:
hi girlies!!!well just got my spotty baby down for a sleep yay so thought I would try to catch up with everyone.
miss b know what its like when you just want to settle the kids etc xmas day it would be much easier for you to relax if your kids are happy .we are having private xmas breakfast here with the kids and then at 9am the local firebrigade come around with santa on the firetruck and throw lollies out to the kids which dd1 finds so exciting they just do it for our suburb and then we will have xmas lunch with our best friends and then go over to see our other really good friends and then we are telling anyone else who wants to see us that they are welcome to come over for lite dinner so that we can have our kids settled. Are your kids the only grandkids??nice pics too missb
meegs-silent reflux they thought addy had that too but it doesnt seems she is lactose intolerant instead so when she does have some formula which is rare she has the s26 lf one.
chook yeah completly understand why you wouldnt want to go we live over here in nz and all our families are over in oz makes life very difficult and expensive when you need babysitters etc and its not like I can just pop around for a coffee with fam when I want to.
amity - hope ej starts sleeping better for you soon.hi jcb-mischl and hm and lm hope havent missed anyone.
well promise Ill take a nother pic of my tree now that its back up again have started wrapping presents too just to take stock of exactly what I have want to get the girls a clam shell pool/sandpit hmmm must go do that at some stage.addison is ok at the moment with her spots she has heaps on her face and body they are so gross never mind at least we are going to be pox free for good after this.
having a stay at home day today!!!!

sorry guys its tribal baby dot org sorry bout that :o
Well we are back from out doctors appointment EJ got his needles and he screamed so so so much it was horrible poor little bubba. He now weighs 5.5kg at 8 weeks so he is putting on an average of 300gms a week the little fatty.
DP had to have an all over health check the doctor had to feel his family jewls so to speak to check for testicular cancer the look on his face was priceless the poor thing he was so uncomfortable. Then he had to get blood taken and sitting in the chair he almost fainted so he had to lie down and get it done.
I also had to get the needle for the cervical cancer vaccine it hurt allot.
EJ has been asleep since he got his needles. Who gave there bubs panadol after there needles
Ok I thought I would post that before my computer lost the whole post and luck I did because as soon as I pressed send it all shut down
Now for a few personals
LM I signed up for the elimination communication information im interested to know more about it.
Miss b I would just try to explain to them that it would be much easier for you ad the kids if its at your house, and that if they want to have xmas with you then its going to be when you want it.
Haydensmummy I hope there is some info in the book that will help you get some more sleep good luck
Well I best go EJ is awake and he wants his mummy
be back soon

:smiliedance:Maddy slept from 830pm til 145am and then 2am til 530am:smiliedance:
HM- The place is called Bubba Hush Cottage and it's in Keperra. Judith asks you some questions about what has been happening and observes your bub and points out tired signs and then talks you through settling your bub off to sleep. The first time we did it it took Maddy about 20/25min to settle, the second time only took 15min. Its basic stuff but it's all about consistency. It's abit expensive at $250 for a day stay from 8am-4pm but I swear its worth every penny!

Hi, it's been a while since we checked in. Everything is going just swimmingly. Elizabeth has been sleeping through for a few weeks now and twice this week has smashed through the 11hour mark but her usual is 10hours. I am sooo much more refreshed and relaxed with her sleeping through the night.
I've also stopped expressing during that skipped overnight feed and my supply has finally settled down enough that I'm not drowning every night.
Elizabeth has definitely discovered her hands and is reaching for things now...though only with her left hand YAY might have a leftie like mummy :yelclap:
Going to be shopping all day tomorrow so we'll see what that does to our routine. I think this will be me at 5pm ----> :hair:
Bye girls, have a grooovy weekend. :sunshine:
miss b, hope everything gets sorted for your Christmas with family and they start to see things your way. Last thing you want it unsettled babies especially on Christmas.
nmummy, sounds like you have a busy Christmas day ahead of you. Its always good to catch up with as many people as possible. Im sure the kidlets will sleep well that night too
Make sure you post pics of your tree soon for us. My DD has one of the clamshells, she absolutely loves it. Keeps her busy for ages. Just a tip: be sure to cover it over when it rains (ours has been overflowed a few times :o)
luckymama, that is an interesting site. Had never heard anything about it before.
amity, Im guessing my GP will talk to me about the cervical cancer vaccine at my check on Tuesday, god I hate needles.
EJ is 5.5kg thats how much you guessed he would weigh. Great to hear he is putting on weight so nicely.
henrygirl, glad to hear Jacks needles went well and he is putting on weight nicely. I think I must have the smallest bubba now. He is still using up his last box of newborn nappies.
giggleberry, great news about Maddy sleeping so well. :fingerscrossed: she keeps it up for you.
pumpernickel, great to see you back in here. Cant believe Elizabeth is sleeping so well for you. Cant wait til Josh starts sleeping like that.

nothing new from me...
Giggleberry - yay for maddy sleeping well for you the other night :fingerscrossed: it keeps up
Haydensmum - :fingerscrossed: sleeping gets better for you too
Luckymama - talk about converting!! Straight into EC already after only taking up MCN. I looked into EC but I dont think its for me, I think MCN are just too cute to give up :o
Missb - dont families just annoy you sometimes! We are having xmas at our place too, this year its our turn to visit df's family for lunch as spent lunch with mine last year. But because its at ours we thought we would have them both. We my mum mentioned xmas to df's sisters partner at our engagement party on wkd and he wasnt happy - he was going on to her that they cant come to lunch they are the wrong family blah blah blah (they took away my heading banging against brick wall icon )
henrygirl - yay for jack going well with needles! And he has put weight on well! Same weight as DD at 8 weeks!
Sorry i know ive missed people... Hi to all
Is everyone getting Santa pics done? Do they cost money everywhere? One of our local shopping centres costs $10 and their set up isnt fantastic and df looked at me and went 'that $10 can go elsewhere, the photo isnt really needed'
I wanted my santa photos this weekend but dont want spotty baby pictures boohoo:hissy:
mind you addison doesnt care she wants to know what santa has in his sack for her:smiliedance:was going to upload my tree but darn it cant find the cord for the camera will try to find after dd1 goes to preschool and I come back from shopping yay for toys :tree:is so much fun!!!!
giggleberry, my gosh she really must be tiny. How much does she weigh?
Hope that she had another good night for you.
shirls, we are getting santa pics done. Have gotten DD's done the last 2 Chrissie's. Will have to see if she will do it this year though as she is at that age when it can seem a bit daunting. Definitely getting Josh's done. I think ours costed $10 last year at our local shopping centre. Do you have a Harvey Norman nearby, I think that theirs are free?
nmummy, have fun shopping today. I get to go this afternoon when DH gets home from work so he can look after the kids :)
Josh slept from 9:30-3:45 last night so that was a really good night from him. He was awake again at 5:15 with wind though. Dont know why as I have been adding infacol to his bottles to stop it but it just isnt working.
DH heads off for a work exercise tomorrow morning until Monday night. :fingerscrossed: the kids are both good for me and Josh sleeps well at night. My mum will babysit DD Sunday night if Im stressed out by then. And DH gets the Saturday and Sunday made up to him in shortleave so he will take Wednesday off and then the other day off in January.
Just over 2 weeks until we leave for SA. Very excitied about it

nmummy for those great pics you take that you don't want the spots I use an awesome photo editor and it's free..not sure if I can put it in here but will give it a go.
vicmans photo toolkit (http://www.photo-toolkit.com/features.html)
It does everything, redeye, make up extention( gets rid of all the red dots!!) whitens teeth, takes away wrinkles..love it.:hugs:
Meegs Yay for Josh having a long sleep I hope he continues to do it for you. I hope your DD is good for you while your DP is away.
Michelle how much does Maddy weigh now she must be so tiny EJ has been out of his newborn nappies for atleast 4 weeks now its so sad how fast they grow at least you would have got allot of use out of her smaller clothes most of EJ's stuff has only been worn once.
How did she sleep for you last night I hope you were able to get a good niights sleep.
I havnt got EJ's santa pic yet and im not sure if I will everytime I take him down town he gets so upset he just dosnt like being out and about I dont think he still hates his pram and he now hates the car he just screams and screams.
Anyway EJ is still sleeping well at night and having power naps during the day like 15min here and there. DP got me a new laptop for Chrissy we got it through Dell I hope its ok only cost us $1000.00 but its really only so I can come on here and download all my photos so it should be fine hopefully it arrives next week im so excited as our desktop is still playing up.
We have also decided that we are going to plan our wedding finally we were supposed to be getting married September just gone but wefell pregnant and now I want to get married so we can start trying for no 2 im thinking august or September next year but its so hard I just dont know where to start.
Anyway ill be off EJ shouldnt be up for another 5 hrs at least so im enjoying a glass of wine
take care
xoxoox
Morning all
Happy 1st day of Summer :sunshine:
amity, Josh powernaps all day as well. Its a bit annoying because I cant get much done before he wakes up again.
Good to hear EJ is still sleeping well at night.
Yay on the new laptop, we are getting a new comp once we get back from SA. The one we have seems fine to me but DH keeps whinging about it.
Wedding preparation can be so frustrating sometimes, so much to do. Just try and get the big things organised first eg. reception venue, celebrant. If you get the bridal magazine of Cosmo it should have a little planner/checklist in there that will tell you how long in advance you should organise certain things.
Josh slept well again last night 9:30-4:00 then 4:30-7:20. Hope he continues that tonight and tomorrow night while hubby is away :fingerscrossed:
Went shopping yesterday and got a few more people presents taken care of. Everyone is so hard to buy for this year.
My bleeding has stopped again. I think it was my first AF.

would like to remind all tht today is weigh in day;)
Just a quick one here...lots of posts to read....Hi to all, but here are some personals;
meegs Yay on Josh sleeping better for you, hope he sleeps throught too for ya!
Hey, is your DD playing up with her sleeping? Georgia has started to not sleep most of the time in the day so by dinner she is way overtired and then today for example she fell asleep herself at like 3:30-4pm and then woke really cranky about 5pm-ish and then we went to put her to bed about 8:30 (normally 7:30) and she kept gettign up and coming out and then finally went to sleep about 9:30ish....once it was like 11pm! Driving me nuts!
Michelle, I bet you didn't know what to do with all that extra sleep! Yay Maddi for sleeping for Mum!!!!!
Shirls, I got DD 2 diff ones done her first year! I got some done at the local shop which cost like $8 or something...I liked the "look" of the Santa, he has to look like a certain type of Santa for me???? WQe got some Myer ones done too which do cost more but they are really good pics! Last year we bought the CD of the pic too so we could print our own and they must do something to the photos when they print it cos when we printed it off from the CD at Harvey Norman the whites are nowhere near as bright as theirs.
I reckon you would prob regret it if you didn't get it done and you will never be able to do her first Christmas again....the Shopping Centre ones are usually pretty cheap so it is affordable (don't know your budget but, I hope you can find the $$$) DD pose well for her 1st Xmas pic, she was only 3mths old but last year she wouldn't sit with him, so Mum had to hold her (she clings to Mum when we're all together, so she wouldn't sit with me either :hair:) So I reckon get one this yr cos she prob won't like him next yr??
Amity, Yay for planning the wedding.....I loved every aspect of planning mine and the day, 3rd best day of my life!!!!!
So, I put my tree up tonight and it looks oK, could be better but our tree is getting old and lopsided so I'm gonna buy a new one for next year....a big full one!
Will post pics soon, DH just has to fix my comp so hopefully this week sometime!
My breastpump broke today :hair::mad::hissy: So I've gone onto ebay and have bid on another one but it ends in like 6 days so I don't know what I'm gonna do in the meantime to keep my supply up??? Any ideas? I phoned some chemists to hire one but they're like $25 a week and to buy one 2nd hand is about that so it seems a rip off!
I normally have 2 full boobs at about 4:30-5am when DS wakes for a feed so I feed him on 1 side in bed and he goes back to sleep and then I get up with DD about 6am and express the other side and then he finishes feeding off it cos there is still heaps in it...I get like 150ml in about 5-10mins off the full boob and then he still feeds off it...If I try to feed him straight off it when he gets up without expressing he wouldn't be able to swallow it, it just absolutly floods out, but I feel better getting that 1st bottle every morning so I have lots of back up in the freezer iykwim....so I don't wanna lose it, but I'm not sure how it works? If I go this week just expressing a bit by hand and him feeding and then when I get a new pump start to express again would it build back up?
Thanks ladies, have a good night...I'll try get back on here tomorrow xxx Mish
morning,
mishlc- even if you didn't express for the week, once you start pumping again your supply will increase again. DD1 also did the non sleep thing when I was pg and thought she didn't want day sleep anymore so stopped putting her to bed but we too had the prob of falling aleep at the dinner table, cranky moods etc. After a couple of weeks of this I started putting her back to bed and even if she didn't sleep, she had quiet time in her room(no I didn't close her door) after a week of this she started napping regularly again and now still has a nap most days depending on what time she gets up in the morning. If it's before 8am yes she will have a nap, after then I don't push it, just ask her if she wants it or not. If you're out in the car in the arvo, will she fall asleep?
Amity- If you feed EJ and cuddle him to sleep at the shopping centre would you then be able to get your santa photo without putting him thru the stress of it all. Really you will likely regret not getting it done later. DD1 loved her 1st santa pic but last year just cried and cried(we had 2 diff ones done in attempt to get a good one) the 2nd one both DH & I had to sit with Santa so she wouldn't cry. Turns out that was our first family of 4 photo cos we didn't know we were pg then!
giggleberry- yay for maddy sleeping, hope all is continuing well.
pumpernickel- sounds like both our bubs are sleeping pretty much the same. Charlee feeds @8pm, asleep by 8.30 then wakes @6, asleep by 6.30 then sleeps again till 9ish. Sleeps vary during the day depending on whats going on but is still only awake for @1 1/2hrs or so then sleeps 30mins-1hr. if home in the morning she may sleep 2hrs.
Charlee has started rolling now, just keeps getting her arm caught under her still so it won't be long! She also gets her legs under her once she gets onto her tum and pushes her butt up into the air, it's so cute to see the little tushie just out there to grab when having no nappy time. Gotta finish our xmas lights today....aarrg it's meant to be 31 today so poor DH is stuck up on the roof to get it done for me. Will have to make it up to him tonight me thinks.........
Everyone here is still alseep, might go grab a shower in peace.
Have a great day girls
Kathy

try hand expressing when you get out of a hot shower the flow is easier to get out my hand that way
good luck:thumbsup:
Hey everyone just a quick one EJ has been up since 4am thismorning and im so so tired. I only got 2 lots of 2hr sleeps.
Does anyone have any tips for getting him to take a bottle its expressed breast milk so he should be used to the taste but he just screams and screams we are going out on Sat night and im worried that he wont taks the bottle off my mum.
thanks ladies
im off to have a sleep then ill come and catch up on personals later
amity, the tommee tippee bottles teats are meant to be more like the breast so maybe buy one of those to try. Ive also heard of people just using a cup and tipping it slowly.
:hugs: Sorry to hear EJ didnt sleep too well last night. Maybe a growth spurt? I think they have one at around 8 weeks. Josh should be coming up to one in the next week.
Hope you can catch up on some sleep today and EJ sleeps better for you tonight.
chook, yay on Charlee rolling. Clever girl.
mishlc, DD didnt go down til 11 the other night which was really weird for her. Other than that she is sleeping ok, still has her day nap most days (except for when DH is home on weekends). The only thing that frustrates me is she always gets upset and has a little tantrum when I tell her its time for bed at night . She used to grab her teddy and blanket and run to her bedroom and snuggle into bed while I prepared her some milk. Now I have to carry her to bed or she wont go.
We managed to get a pic of DD with Santa last year (and her first year of course). Last years photo she doesnt look overly impressed with sitting on his knee but she doesnt look scared or upset either. Im hoping she will be happy to do it this year. Might get Josh's photo done first so she will see he isnt scary or maybe ask her to sit and look after Josh on Santa's knee and she will just be a brave big girl looking after her little bro.
Last night went well without DH here. Both kids were in bed by 8:30, I went to bed at 9:30 but couldnt get to sleep for ages just because it was weird not having hubby in bed with me. Josh woke for a feed at 2 (so had slept for 5 1/2 hours) was back in bed by 2:30 then woke at 5:15 so I put him in bed with me while I fed him. Got out of bed at 6:30 and DD woke up at 8. They have both been very well behaved yesterday and today so Im very proud of them. My mum called earlier to see how it was all going and because we're doing so well she isnt coming to visit til tomorrow morning now and might take us to do some Christmas shopping which will be good.

henrygirl - i will def be on the look out for santa when we meet up on thursday!
I went to work yesterday, so left dd with df for 6 hours! I was so nervous and worried about it all as it was a last minute call up to do work, and was only able to express enough for one feed. Lucky it worked out ok with being able to feed her just before I started and things. The extra cash will help out a bit as well (its a cash in hand job) and will work again next saturday but will drive next time so will need more feeds stocked up!

Hi All....
Well we have had a long couple of days, Maddy has the measles and has been cranky and not sleeping very well. Poor little mite. Put up our :tree: last night so I'll take a pic and post later.
Amity- I think Maddy weighs about 5kg now at 13weeks I have started doing a suplement bottle of formula at night to try and boast her up and it seems to be helping with her sleep also. Must be very exciting planning your wedding. I loved planning mine. My only piece of advice is make sure to get a video done of the day as it goes by so quickly and you'll be amazed at how much you miss and forget.
Anyway I am off to the dr.'s this morning to get Maddy checked out. Have a good day ladies
Michelle
chook, Thanks for that, its kinda working a bit but not as good as it was so hopefully i keep up the supply.
DD sometimes falls asleep in the car but the annoying thing is its like when we're going round the corner to visit friends and it's like 4-4:30! She also sometimes falls asleep at home on the couch but again at about 4 so she wakes about 5ish and then by her 7:30 bedtime she is still pumped up and won't go to bed. DH tries to enforce the bedtime but she just keeps getting up and whinging....she did it yesterday and didn't go to bed till 9pm then was awake at 5:30 this morning. The later she goes to bed the earlier she gets up :hair: It's only shortlived I guess so I try not to get too cranky about it....
miss b, I'm really un-co at hand expressing  plus I don't have the time...I always have a demanding 2yr standing there watching me (we need a hawk eye smiley, hahaha)
amity, DS didn't take to bottles too well either but I've found he prefers the wider teats like the Avent ones, I actually bought 2 of the Pur self sterilising bottles, they're fantastic.....I would say try diff shaped teats to see what he takes......also wiggle in and out of his mouth a bit, that helps too. He also can smell you if you're the one trying to give it to him, if you're not there and he is left with your Mum he would take it better I reckon too, try DH doing it with you not around?
Michelle, :hugs: porr Maddy....little chicky isn't having a good run of things...does this mean shes sleeping longer tho, trying to get better?
Hey to everyone else....busy day today, trying to get a bit done round here......xxx Mish

giggleberry: sorry to here maddy has measles. hope she is ok.
amity: hows the bottle going? have you sorted it out?hope bubba warms to it soon.
not much from me. we went to harbour town discount outlets yesterday but didn't get any bargain i think they jacked up prices for xmas.:mad:was looking forward to get some bargains. can't wait til xmas this year finished all shopping excepr mil pressie but know what we are getting her, a digital photo frame very cool.

Thanks girls....
Mish- you would think she would be sleeping better trying to get over it but it seems that she fights me even more, I almost reverted back to bf her to sleep but I persisted with the "new" way even though it takes an hour to put her down for a mesley 45min nap:hair: Her spots seem to be going away today so hopefully tomorrow she'll be back to her adorable self again.
Pumpernickle- I didn't freak as I thought she was having a reaction to something I ate, I didn't find out she had measles until yesterday when I spoke to the friend whos bub Maddy got it from. She had gone to the CHN and was told there is nothing you can do about it you just have to ride it out and make sure they don't get a fever.
So on another note...I think my milk supply is dwindling since I got the Merina put in last week. I have been booby feeding Maddy and then giving her a 50ml top up of formula the last few days and last night she took a whole 100ml of formula. She has been a slow weight gainer from day one so I'm starting to worry that maybe shes not getting enough now that shes growing and needs more booby juice to keep her satisfied...oh and on the upside she finally took a bottle last night. We tried a #2 teat and she guzzled it down:thumbsup:
Michelle
Ok EJ has had a better day today and slept from 9pm till 4am last night then 4.30am till 7am so at least I got a chance to catch up.
Meegs im glad that your little ones were good whille your DP was away it must have made your weekend much more enjoyable.
Henrygirl yeah we are improving with the bottle feeding he has now taken about 4 of them which is good makes me relax a little about leaving him on sat he is using the Avent bottles with No:2 teats I tried the No 3 ones but he was just choaking I also found that if I waited until he was really hungry he took it allot better.
Michelle poor Maddy is having a rough trot isnt she I hope that she gets over this soon and that she gets into a solid routine.
Wow Maddy is still so little EJ is 5.5kg and 5 weeks younger I wish he wouldnt grow so quickly though I just want him to stay a little bubba forever.
Does anyone know if my EBM that I had expressed when EJ was first born and have frozen and the EBM from more recent would taste diffrent its just that he wont have a bar of the milk I expressed months ago but seems to take the more recent milk better????
This is me right now :crying:
My brother changed stuff to my computer...where all the photos were going when I loaded them up and cos if was playing up and DH had to re install everything I have lost a whole bunch of my photos...really good ones of Marc etc 500+ photos...I could kill him!
:hissy::mad::crying:
Mishlc I know how you are feeling you poor thing DP lost all my photos of EJ's birth I was hysterical are you sure they are completly gone can you not get someone to retrive them there are companies out their that specialise in data retrival thats what we had to do but we did get them back although it cost us money
:hugs::hugs: big hugs to you and i hope you get them back

amity- i had a simular problem with ds as my milk still had colostrum in it he took it but after some hard work. i also worked out that he didn't need as much as he was filling up quite quickly.
just made a double batch of anzacs with the help of my little chef:chef:holly. she loves helping me bake i measure out the ingredients and she pour them in the bowl and goes yaaaaaaaaay:yelclap:and claps. daddy will be really happy.
i rearranged my kitchen on the weekend and now have so much moore room it has really opened it up. now all i need is to knock down the wall.
hi mummies:wave:
Finally got my xmas tree pic to show you nothing too exciting it looks a bit deflated after spending its first two night on the floor thanks to the cat but we love it ,it's got all our special decorations on it.I will post another pic of our playgroup get together its a couple of mums I got together with when dd1 was born you can see dd1 on the end in the white dress and spotty wee addison lined up next to her sister to get her xmas gift.we draw names out of a hat to buy for.oh and I thought I would show you the toyboxes I painted for each of the girls what do you think I just about lost sleep over the colours only to chose a pink and purple how lame am I.I tell you what though when I put the primer on I nearly blinded myself outside it was so sunny and the primer was so white Im not really a painter but Im very happy with them.
addison is much better now as the pics show she actually was quite good having the pox sienna more than made up for it I do say the younger the better they dont scratch, just smile thru the spottys.
did some more xmas shopping today always something to buy I bought sienna some dora mega bloks to add to her set and a fairy doll and a my little pony thingy I think she is getting quite a bit now Ill have to calm down though I did see a leapfrog toy mirror and addison just loved it in the shop it was 49.95 so hopefully will come on special as its not a real need but would be cute!!!anyways enough from me big hellos and catch up later

glad Addison is doing well with the pox, at least with her getting them now you've got them all over and done with
i'll catch ya up on msn sometime
hey guys.
Had typed out a big post yeaterday with loads of personals and then DH accidently closed the page down before I'd posted it and whole thing disappeared. Not happy so stayed off and came back today when I wasn't so annoyed anymore. Won't be doing as many personals now though as getting too many to respond to coz was so long so will just do some and say Hi, sorry and still luv ya's to those I miss:tongue:
Put my xmas tree up on Friday. Looks pretty good. Lacking some decorations and lights though lol. Bought it after xmas last year (online from sales) along with some new decorations from the post xmas sales. They look great on there but didn't really realise how big the tree is so our lights only cover top front part of tree (none at back of top or all way round bottom) and the back side of the tree is pretty much completely bare as not enough ornaments to go round there too . Still looks good though as is a really nice tree (really tall and full branched). DS1 loves to point at it and say "Ooooh, kissmas tree". Very cute of him. Will post a pis soonish (when I get around to it lol)
Thankfully have just about got all my xmas shopping done. only 3 more family pressies, plus DH's stocking fillers left so hopefully will get all that doen soon and then won't have to worry about it anymore. Still have to plab xmas dinner though. MIL ringing with ideas already the other day and then was talking about visiting later this week to discuss and plan the menu etc. I know she's trying to be helpful (I think due to having 2 kidlets now and extra guests due to relies coming form east and possibly my sis's and thier DP's) but I feel a bit pressured and crowded. Might seem silly but I when xmas at my place I like to plan and organise the stuff myself and do it all my way, just like she gets to do her xmas when it's at her place so I discussed with DH and he agrees that I'll decide and plan exactly what I'm doing/cooking etc then when she comes round we'll just say "this is what we're having/doing etc so if you want to help with this stuff you're welcome to but we can manage if you'd rather relax since it's meant to be your year off". I love the planning and preparing and stuff that goes with xmas so I'm going to be selfish about it seeing as it is supposed to be my turn and I let her do her own thing when it's her year. I don't think she'll get to funny about it but if she does she'll have to deal with it as I want to have my fun
went and viewed our pics the other day too. Have spent a fortune and ordered/lay-byed lots. Have 4 ordered that should be done in a week or two, then another 4 on a 6 month layby, 2 of which are really big ones. Some really nice pics though so pleased with that (even if I do feel a bit guilty about spending heaps - all up just under $3000 ). Will post the ones I've ordered when I get them.
Very pleased also as MIL paid a gardener to come to our place and fix up our gardens. They had gotten pretty feral as I haven't really been getting out into the garden since mid DS1 pg and DH hardly got into them before that anyway, let alone since lol. He pruned and weeded and removed bits so now the whole place looks great. Extra good as got everyone coming to ours for xmas so will be much more comfortable with it now as won't feel embarrassed about the gardens. Such a nice MIL (most of the time lol)
hoping I remember to go get D weighed etc tomorrow. have meant to go for last few weeks and keep forgetting .
DS1 has been asking to sit on the toilet heaps over last few days too. Hasn't actually gone while on there yet but I'm thinking it's a step towards toilet training at least so offering lots of praise every time he sits on it. He's even been refusing to put on a nappy sometimes and been running round the house in the nude (for some reason he has to take all his clothes off to sit on the toilet/potty lol). Has wee'd next to the potty twice, but has been when I've been busy feeding D so thinking that he's known he needed to go and gone to the right place but not managed to get on there for one reason or another. Since showing such interest in it am going to have a go at toilet training him in a couple of weeks when DH on his xmas holidays so he can give me a hand for those time when I'm busy. Very proud of my little man but happening so early which is also kind of sad coz he's growing up so fast.
mish - You should be fine with your milk. Your supply may drop a bit but you'll be able to build it back up easy. When I had the abcess removed with DS1 I wasn't able to feed from that breast so my supply dropped to nearly nothing (I kept expressing a little bit each day just to make sure it didn't completely dry up). Loads of people said I wouldn't be able to feed from that side coz milk would be either gone or nowhere near enough but once was fully healed I expressed and fed that side first to build supply back up and within a couple of weeks had it to same supply as other breast so I'm sure you'll be fine for a week or two even if you don't exppress coz you're still feeding from both boosies so should be all good.
amity - Doesn't that cervical cancer vaccine suck! Posted when had it done last week that it hurt but forgot to post about the bruise that came up where I got it. Still there now, a week and 4 days after getting it done. Looks terrible, like someone has grabbed my upper arm really hard or something. Told DH people will think he's a meanie as looked like a finger or thumb print.
michelle - measles !!!!. Poor maddy. Hope she gets better soon. Good on you for sticking to your new routine though. You'll be pleased for the effort in the long run.
henry - my DS1 loves to help cook. Constantly asks to "stir" (even if I'm not stirring anything lol). Also loves to carry the ingredients from the fridge to the bench and already loves to lick the beater when we're finished (well, as soon as he hears the beater he comes in a says "ahhh" with his tongue hanging out ). Would probably help with anything and everyting if I'd let him. When I don't let him he generallly goes and gets his little toy shovel and the box that his aniamls are stored in and pretends to cook himself (by..... you guessed it.... stirring lol). Very cute though.
nmummy - love your pics! (even with a spotty addi lol)
Morning ladies
Like camcat I had a big post done up yesterday with personals. My DD decided to push a heap of buttons on the keyboard and I lost the lot :hair:
Will try again this morning but can already hear Josh stirring so will be very quick. Sorry if I miss people.
camcat, I like to organise things my way if Christmas is at our place too. Hope your mil understands and just goes with whatever you want.
giggleberry, glad to hear the formula topups are helping Maddy sleep more but sorry to hear about her measles. Hope it clears up soon :hugs:
nmummy, great pics there. Your 2 girls are just gorgeous. Love your Christmas tree and the toyboxes too. You have done a great job.
mishlc, hope you can find a way to get your pics back. I had been telling DH for ages to do up a CD of the kids pics and last night after reading your post I made him do it.
henrygirl, doesnt it suck how some places overcharge around Christmas. I cant wait until all the after-Christmas sales.
amity, good to hear EJ slept better for you the other night. Hope he continues with it.
Yay on him taking the bottle now. Makes things much easier for you for Saturday night.
Went shopping with my mum and sister yesterday and got a few more ideas of what to buy a few people. We walked passed Santa and he gave DD a chocolate so she is very fond of him now. Was going to get their pics done when we were finished in Target but by then he was 'feeding his reindeer' so we will go back on Wednesday or Friday to get them done. Hoping DD still likes him as much by then.
Have my checkup with my gp today, even though its 2 weeks late :o Josh will be getting his needles while we are there, DH is in charge of holding the kids during immunisation time.
Has anyone heard from luckymama? Havent seen her on here in a little while.
Hi everyone.
Well, weighed D this morning and he's definatley a porker . At just under 11 weeks he weighs 6.48kg which puts him just about on the 90th %ile line . Guess my booby milk is doing it's job well lol. He's a piglet though and drinks a lot so not really surprised.
Just want to use this one coz it'a cute :raspberry::raspberry: lol.
Hopefully will remember to measure D's length and head circ this arvo when he wakes up :fingerscrossed:.
not much interesting to report here so off to plan my xmas day :yelclap:. Hope all are keeping well.
:flowerz:hi guys got an impromtu photo of sienna with santa done today at ballantynes which is like your david jones and jeepers the santa was rude I told sienna to tell "father christmas" what she would like and he says to her"im not father christmas Im santa" ummm hello whatever! she doesnt need to know that she just wants to tell you what she wants for xmas and then she finally builds up the courage to tell him and he goes "oh I didnt understand a word you said,go get a chocolate and balloon"
are they hiring deaf santas now,I heard exactly what she said oh well at least the picture was cute but addison decided to fall asleep so will have to get hers done later.I was actually surprized she wanted to sit with him!!!
right better get back to domestics talk later guys:flowerz:
Super quick one here...
Photos are def lost...I managed to find 2 folders but have lost about 3-4 folders.....I'm bummed but not much to do about it now...just takes heaps more and get DH to copy them onto CD for me and I've also put them in all diff folders too just incase, hahaha
Gotta tell ya quickly...I bought DS a new dummy, It's the newest Tommy Tippee one and it is wierd! Next time you're at the shops have a look, it doesn't have a cover as such so when he is sucking on it you can see right in his mouth...very wierd, Kinda freaky to look at....but it is really good in the way it works cos it is soft on their mouth so a bit more like ya boob than a norm dummy which is hard, anyway, cjeck em' out....
Oh, meegs: You got a Medela Swing hey? Do you find it better than the Nuk? Is it worth the extra $$$
Just a vent:
My doctors app was for 2:45 today so I called at 2:15 to see if it was running on time. They said they were expecting her to get called up to the hospital at some point so they would call me when they had an idea of what time my app would be.
Its now 4:45 and I still havent heard from them. Will give them another call when DH gets home in 20 mins. Its so frustrating as my check is already 2 weeks later than it should be so I dont want to be scheduled for another day as it took me 4 weeks to get in for this one so Im not waiting another 4 weeks and even if I do get in today its going to be late and I have dinner to get organised and getting DD ready for bed :banghead::mad::banghead::mad::banghead::mad: So angry right now!
mishlc, I did have a medela swing but sold it when my milk supply pretty much disappeared (due to not breastfeeding at all). Definitely a great breastpump though. Very quiet and the suction was great. Recommend highly

hey
im here just been a bit busy, i try to read all your posts though.
Lucas is going really well.
The ECing is working really well for us, when we are home i catch nearly all wees and poos. He is loving his boobie juice and is still co-sleeping.
He even has some naps during the day now, not long ones, but its all good.
Hope you are all well

sorry to butt in here, eventhough technically i'm a sept mum too
but where did you get the dummy from?????? I had one for DS that had the soft sheild bit but ya can't get them any more :crying: so if these ones are the same I would love to try it out on DD, cause she's hating every other one i've tried
oh and the medela swing is probably one of the best pumps out, and yip its definatly better than the Nuk one

hi ladies,
I really am a lost case. couple of days not on here, and completely lost again
anyway, all is good here. ds is still around 6kg, but long 65cm  very long at 3 months. ooh, I forgot the HC.
he sleeps alright, it's usually 5hrs apart, sometimes less, but thats ok. good thing is, that DH gets up to give formula to dd and stays up with her while I either feed ds or sleep or just lay in the bed :yelclap:
I am still not in christmas mood, still strange for me in this hot weather, but all presents for the kids taken care of, so thats good.
i don't think I will do any santa pics, since we don't have santa clause, we have baby jesus who brings presents and nobody really knows how he looks like so it's pretty much to kids' imagination. it's more mystical that way
also, I can't imagine dd to sit with him, no way :shame:
misch - I had a similar dummy for dd, it was all silicone, and there was a hole in the middle, so you could see inside the mouth, and it really was very weird, but she liked it ok. not very soft, though.
giggleberry, formula top ups worked wonders for dd. she would sleep at 3mos from 10 to 6, then eat, and sleep till 10am. soooo nice. ds is fully b/f for now, but still 25% on the weight charts, so might start with top ups , too. don't want too, really, but who knows could do him good, weight wise.
nmummy, loved the pics, your girls are very cute.
camcat - aren't kidlets cute with that helping in the kitchen. dd loves it too. I don't let her do it that much, it's more dh who plays with her that way. i'm usually in too much rush to be playing like that. but it's very cute no less.
meegs, don't u just hate it, when you arrange your entire schedule around the appointment, and then something like that happens, and you just wait, pretty much on hold, not being able to do anything, really.
sorry, if I missed anyone.
oh, btw, anybody can tell me how much is mirena?
camcat, yay on Dev's weight. Such a big happy, healthy boy.
nmummy, that is a bit rude Santa correcting Sienna with his name, what would be the matter with being called Father Christmas its one of his many names. Also when he couldnt understand her he could have still nodded along and said something like 'I'll see what I can do.'
mishlc, that sucks so much about the photos. Great that you were able to recover 2 of the folders but not good about all the others.
luckymama, glad to see you back in here and great to hear you and Lucas are doing well. How much does he weigh now?
trulyblessed, feel free to join us in here if you like
katkadol, I would love to experience a white Christmas one year. They always look so great in the movies.
Glad that you and your kidlets are doing well.
Ended up getting into my doc's app at 5:30 last night and didnt get out of there until 6:20 so we had to stop and get takeaway on the way home because I had a silverside out and wasnt going to leave the stove on while we were at the app.
Josh was very good with his needles. Cried for about 2 mins while he was getting them done and then fell asleep in DH's arms. Slept well last night too. Fell asleep at 8-8:30 but then I woke him to change his bum and feed him at 9:30. He woke for a feed at 4 and then woke up at 8:20.
Nothing planned for today, DH was meant to have the day off since he was on that work exercise all weekend but apparently they are too busy at the moment and need him at work. So he will have worked 12 days straight by Saturday.
Anyway I have been sitting here trying to get this written for about 30 mins now but keep getting distracted so will leave it at that.
Have a good day all

Katkadol- How did you go about doing the top up feeds? Did you replace one or two feeds a day or booby feed every feed and then give alittle formula after?
Meegs- Love the pics, very cute

I did top up each feed with little bit of formula after b/f. started when she was 4wks old and she refused the breast at almost 4mos, so not too bad. but my friends suggested I should have tried formula only for nights and b/f only during the day. I never tried it since it was too late, by that time no b/f.

Katkadol- Wow your kids look like twins! You asked before about Merina...All up mine cost close to $200 but that's because I went to my gynie so Consult fee $60, Insertion $90 & actual Merina $35= $185 And it hurt like a B!tch to get put in but supposably that's because my cervix is curved...OUCH!!!
I am doing 150ml at second feed in the morning and 150ml for the feed just before bed, the rest I'm booby feeding. So I hope that Maddy doesn't refuse the breast just yet as I'm not ready to give it up yet.
Oh and thanks about the outfit I was given it yesterday so I had to take some pics!

Oh and I know what you mean about it not feeling like christmas...I have been here nearly 14 years and it still doesn't feel like christmas to me...something very wrong about sweating your a$$ off on christmas day:laughing:
Michelle
giggleberry, such gorgeous Christmas pics. She's so beautiful.
katkadol, when I saw that first pic I was thinking how similar they look then comparing their baby pics my god they are almost identical. Both very adorable children.
I should put up a photo of DD and Josh at the same age and see if they are very similar.
hello all
just a quick one at the moment my boobies are killing me and im contemplating going to the doctors to have them checked out I think EJ just hasnt been attaching properly because my nipples are red and grazed like the skin is peeling off and there are like tiny red pimple thinks around the edges its not nice at all thankgod its really only one boob so I just express from that one and feed from the other at the moment hopefully it will settle down soon.
katkadol ohh my god they look identical and very very cute .
Will catch up with more personals later.

giggleberry - you totally nailed it 'sweating the a$$ off on xmas day'
thanks for the info on mirena. I was a bit confused since my gynie was talking about some $400, but he meant what it used to cost. I hope  my friend in czeckia had it implanted recently and said she did not feel a thing, cost her almost $400.
I think u will be fine with just 2 top ups a day. maddy is still getting mainly booby juice whereas my dd was filled mainly by formula and booby was just nicely spent time.
meegs - I know, I reacted with the same OMG they look the same. I knew they are very much alike, but unless I put the 2 pics next to each other.... unbelievable. the difference is - tania has blue eyes, max has brown after me
amity - so bad about your bobbies! hope its not something serious and clears soon for you :fingerscrossed:
God i have a heap to catch up on!!!!
here goes
Giggleberry you poor thing if its not one thing it another!! Hop little Maddy is feeling better, and that your doing well. loved the photos, had to laugh i got the exact same outfit for Katie:laughing:
amity we had this trouble with Isabelle she refused the bottle flat out! didn't matter who tried to feed her either. if she saw the bottle she would scream until she got the boob!!
we went to pearl jam when she was 3 months and left her with the MIL and she cried the whole time:hissy:. made us feel like such bad parents! the only was they got her to feed in the end was hold a peice of clothing I had worn next to themselves. im pretty sure it was the pidgeon teats she ended up taking....they went and got about 4 dif types!!! good luck
and remembe if she is hungry she will feed..enjoy your night
nmummy what great pics..love the boxs too bad im not talented in the craft dept:confused:. Lets hope santa is a bit nicer next time you go visit..they should fire him if thats how he is going to be to babies!!!
meegs i hate eevn trying to make a docters app, but that is just soo rude..yay for your little man being so brave.hope he is feeling well today. and how cute is he..loved the pics
camcat yay for toilet training:thumbsup: can only get better from here
katkadol very cute
 everyone else
SO I spent half of Saturday in ER as I have been bleeding for 4 weeks now and was getting such bad cramps I could barely walk over the w/e, so I took myself off to the hospital. They really couldn't tell me anything. The took blood sample told me to get an ultrasound and would go from there. It could be my placenta is retained and I have an infection or my hormones are going haywire. Not happy with that I went to my own docter who told me the same thing ..ultrasound is tomorrow..the blood came back normal except i have a really low blood count. :fingerscrossed:it just hormones.
Then today I found Isabelle's favourite toy..a stuffed puppy..in the toilet!!!!!it only got his foot wet but she put the lid down and he was in there for a while. now all she wants is her puppy????I told hubby and he told me to chuck it and find her a new one..I'm not sure if that is absolutly nessacery
amity, hope your boobie gets better without EJ on it for a little while and it isnt anything serious.
miss b, hope everything goes ok at your ultrasound tomorrow. :fingerscrossed: no placenta has been retained inside. Must be really frustrating when you go to the hospital and even the 'experts' cant tell you what's going on
Had to laugh a bit re the puppy in the toilet. I think if you put it through the wash a couple of times with alot of washing powder it will be fine. I think all hell would break loose if I had to throw away my DD's teddy because of something like that. Its only water afterall, as long as it is washed it isnt going to do any harm.
Let us know how you go tomorrow ok?

giggleberry love the photos so cute!!
how is maddy sleeping now??
amity hope your b(.)(.)bs heal soon. r u putting bepanthen or anything on them to help sooth and heal, or just rubbing your milk on them??
hi every1 else! sorry didn't read too far back in the thread so i don't really know where u r all up to but hope everyone is all well.
hayden and me r off to sleep clinic next wk, i'm so excited i hope it works!!
HM, Hope it works for you too!
Missb, The sun kills everything, so give it a really hot wash and put it out in the sun for the day...for ecxtra caution I spray with Glen20 as it's supposed to kill germs etc too....you shouldn't need to throw it out!
meegs, Thanks...am looking at acouple on ebay as I know how much they are new and DH would spit if i spent that much....
Trulyblessed, It's a Tommeee one as I said and I just got it al Woolworths.....$12 for pack of 2...a bit expensive but it was worth a try...he still seems to like the cheap Happy Baby ones the best...I'm not complaining tho hahaha
LM, Yay on the EC working for you, you have alot more patience than I would!
amity, hope the boobs heal for you too and I agree with henry...sounds like it could be thrush. You can get drops from the chemist for it for bubs...don't know about you tho? I used Lansinoh when my boobs were sore...bepanthen is great too!
Katkadol, Is it Max on left and Tania on right? They do look very much alike!
Can't remember anyone else...so Hi to all I missed
I am very proud of myself lasting this long BF'ing am thinking of starting to introduce formula and keeping a couple of feeds in and then even expressing as long as I can so I can give him at least 1 BF a day even when he is pretty much full time formula....I'll see how it all goes.
Got Marc weighed on Tues...5.5kg 59cm long and 39cm head circ...I thought he seemed like a chubba bubba but camcat...Dev sounds like a chubba, hahaha your booby milk is def doing it's job!!!

Mish, indeed it's max on the left :yelclap: .
I was thinking about formula as well. would make things a lot easier, but as I was unable to fully b/f dd, I will probably stick with it for now. was thinking till 6mos provided that max is gaining at least 200g a wk. so far he was :fingerscrossed:
HaydensMummy - sleeping clinic? sounds axciting, what is it about?
miss b - :fingerscrossed: its just the hormones for you. very funny with the puppy in the toilet. I would not throw it out either, wash it in hot water and sun dried as Mish suggested. my dd was about to do the same thing, luckily caught her in time.
nothing new or exciting here, omg, its already so late, I better get my butt to bed real quick.

sleep clinic is a plac i go for a wk ( staying nights too) and the peads and chn's help with improving his nightly sleep patterns. the aim by the time i leave is to have him go to sleep on his own in a big cot in a seperate room to me and only wake a max of 2wice a night for a feed, so u can see y i'm excited lol!!!

Miss b- you can get detol laundry wash that's suppose to kill germs in the wash & if you do the other things that the others have mentioned...hot water, sun dried I think you'll be covered.
HM- Maddy has her good nights & her bad nights. Good night she'll sleep 5 hours then 4 hours then 2 hours. During the day she usually has a couple of 45min catnaps in the AM and then goes down for a 2hour nap then a couple of 45min catnaps in the arvo. So much better than what she was doing!
Anyway off to the Brissie :tree:meet today, looking forward to meeting you ladies & your beautiful bubs!
Michelle
Hi lufflies :raspberry: (that's so cute lol).
Well, not much exciting going on for me here. Had playgroup yesterday. Second last one for the year so next week is xmas party with pressies, party food , santa etc so that should be good fun.
Went for my contact lense check today and they're going fine so the dude is happy for me to continue use, although the day after I got fitted the rep came in and said they're changing the lenses a bit so now have others to test to see which kind I like better, then will get a supply of those ones foe permanent use. The new ones are meant to be better for dry eyes though which is an issue I have sometimes at the moment when I'm a bit tired (OK, most of the time at the moment lol).
Dev been a little unsettled past couple days. Tues night was waking every couple hours, yesterday was getting upset and wanting lots of cuddles so only had 1 stretch of 1 1/2 hrs uninterupted, all other day sleeps he'd cry and grizzle after 30-45 mins. Went somewhat better last night. Went 4hrs then woke after 2 but resettled with me in bed for another 2 1/2 but still not his usual run (normally goes 5hrs then another 5-6 hrs, then sticks to about 3 hrs between feeds with sleeps of 1-2 hrs as his minimum, but occasionally longer). he has sounded a bit snuffly though and been coughing a bit so hopefully he's not coming down with something, or if he is it goes away quickly.
mish - forgot to say the other day but had the same thing happen woth my pc and pics. BIL installed new program coz of having probs with old one and lost tonnes of pics. All our digital pics from our honeymoon plus a whole pile of pics of my old dog that I had from when I was 6 till he passed away a couple of years ago. Thankfully we hadn't had the kids yet so didn't lose any of them but was still very upset :crying:. I told them they should back everything up first just in case but BIL (who I might add works in IT) said "nah nah, it'll be fine". And then it wasn't .
Sounds like Marc growing nicely. We should try organise to catch up soon to see how our munchkins are growing and for xmas chat etc.
katkadol - Wow your two are really alike aren't they! Both very cute. That's what I want to do with DS1 and Dev pics to see coz sometimes they look really similar yet others I think they look really different so reckon I'll get organised soon and do a comparison like that.
meegs - Love your pics too.
michelle - You've got cute pics too. Is that a kmart set? Got some very similar bits from kmart for my two kidlets the other day.
amity - bummer about your (.)(.) Hope they get better soon. If Lanisoh is great for sore nips. Bepanthen works ok too but can make sore nips more sore as have to wash it off before a feed as not good for bubs tummy so can often make things worse overall. I'm sure if you ask the Dr they'll sort it out for you though.
missb - Hope turns out that isn't anything serious going on with you. Love the story about DD's toy. Poor puppy . Agree with the others though. I'd prob go with an antibacterial wash (eg Dettol, napisan etc) in hot water then dry in the sun. That's how we cleaned our soft toys at daycare.
HM - Hope your trip to the sleep clinic next week goes well.
Well, can't think of anything else I was going to add but Hi to all others and sorry if I missed anyone :raspberry: (just so cute! I love it!)
Off to do my grocery shopping (yay )
Chat later
afternoon ladies just got back from my ultrasound and the results don't look good:(. I had an outtie and an innie ultrasound and they said it looks like I could be retaining some of my placents and that my ovarys were not active so I probably don't have my A/F. Now I need to get the DC:gloomy: which means I have to consider my B/F options! I'm a little scared about the whole thing if truth be told..not the op but how it could effect Katie. I" have been so hormonal this week I feel like I want to :crying:.
will check back later and do some p/ms
missb, :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:So sorry to hear about the ultrasound not going well. When will you be getting the op done. We're always here for support when you need it :hugs::hugs:
Josh has just woken up so will be back to do more personals later.
Ok I am back.
haydensmummy, hope everything goes well at the clinic next week and you will be able to catch up on some sleep soon.
camcat, hope Dev gets better soon and starts being a bit more settled. No fun when they are sick.
Hope the meet in Brisbane went well today. Looking forward to hearing about it from the girls who attended.
Josh has been so good the last few days. Slept a 6 hour block then a 3 1/2 hour block on Tuesday night. Last night slept a 7 hour block but then didnt want to go back to sleep after that. Also yesterday and today he has had a 3 hour nap  Hoping that becomes a habit as before that he usually only catnapped all day (15-20 minute sleeps here and there).
Must be off as he just had a 10 minute catnap and is awake again, will have to cuddle him on the couch for a while I think.
What are everyones plans for the weekend?

gonna get my hair done tomorrow can't wait to be blonde again:yelclap:

Just a quick hello from me...it's murphy's law, I log on and Maddy wakes up. It was great meeting you ladies yesterday! Good putting a few more faces to names. I agree that regular meets would be great, any reason to get out of the house for a good ole gasbag is fine with me:thumbsup:
Anyway I had better run, I'll try to log on later. Have a good day ladies and if I don't get on later....Have a great week end!!!

Oh and almost forgot----->:hugs::hugs: Miss B
Morning ladies
Very miserable weather here today. Had a thunderstorm earlier with very heavy rain and now it just looks very cold and wet out there, the wind has also picked up which makes it worse.
Just a grocery shop to do today and taking the kids to sit on Santa's knee. Was such a nice day yesterday when I had nowhere to go and now I have to take the kids out in the cold
Hope tomorrow is a good day because we are going to a family fun day and then the carols tomorrow night.
Sunday I am going for a dress fitting (for the dress for my bro's wedding) also having a Christmas BBQ lunch at my Dad's since we will be away on Christmas day and visiting my grandparents as well since they havent seen Josh since he was 5 days old.
So we are going to be very busy this weekend and then next week will be spent getting the house spotless and packing for SA as we leave on Sunday the 16th. Cant wait, I am so excited about spending 3 and a half weeks with DH's family. Means we will have more time to ourselves as they will help out with babysitting and only his Mum has met Josh so far so his sisters cant wait to give him some cuddles.
Have a MCHN app next Thursday so will be able to post Josh's 2 month stats on here (finally).

Bec- Love the pics, your kidlets are sooo cute!
I went and got a few things done today when Maddy woke up...I went to my chinese herbalist/acupuncturist to see if he could give me something to boost my milk supply and he gave me some raw herbs to boil & then I have to drink this rancid concoction...:fingerscrossed:it helps. And I also went to Kmart to do up a coffee mug with Maddy's picture on it for DH for when he's at work. I also want to get him a nice framed pic of Maddy & I for his desk...still so many things to do before xmas and I think I heard it's only 18 days away:eek:<----I want the big eyed eek back this one just doesn't do it for me!

Hello all,
Miss B :hugs::hugs: big hugs to you I hope that everything goes well.
Giggleberry how is Maddy going now sleeping better I hope. When I want to boost my supply I take 3 rasberry leaf tablets and it seems to work a treat. I hope that your mixture goes down well and also I was looking on the ABA website today and it says that maxalon tablets also help boost supply.
Meegs I have a feeling you are going to have a few busy weeks ahead of you hope that you can relax at the inlaws and let them look after the kids for a while
Anyway EJ is awake I have just posted a few pics of my beautiful little man.

take care
talk soon
hey guys.
Cute pics everyone. I've finally up;oaded some of the newer ones of both my kidlets onto the pc so will put them up soon to share.
missb - Bummer! Big :hugs::hugs::hugs:. At the risk of seeming really dumb, what is the issue you're worried about with your feeding? I don't really know exactly what a D&C entails so don't know whether something specific to it or other general op type stuff IYKWIM?
meegs - Our plans for the weekend. Have DS1 swimming on Sat and on Sun off to Adventure World (which is kind of a theme park type thing) for DH's work social club xmas do. Should be fun and Santa will be there with pressies for the kidlets which they'll love so looking forward to seeeing that. Have to go get their santa pics done soon too so I don't forget. Got one of DS1 with the Adventure World santa last year but forgot to go get the proper shop santa one done and was so upset so really don't want to make the same mistake this year.
Michelle - Haven't got around to joining facebook yet. just about everyone I know keeps telling me to and I probably will get it done sometime soon (just somehow keeps getting put off) And :iagree: (he he, haven't used that one before) about the  one. Not as good as the old one. Do love some of the new ones though.
jcb - hope your littlies concert etc go well
Alrighties. dev wants feeding again so I've gotta scram but will hopefully chat more later. (BTW - looked in Ds1's book today and Dev is same height and weight @ 10w5d (6.48kg & 64cm) as Ds1 was @ 14w5d (6.40kg &64cm). What a porker lol!)
jcb, great pics of the kids. Hope you dont get too worn out from your busy weekend.
giggleberry, I got DH one of those for Christmas too
amity, EJ is so so so cute. I think I'll have to take some pics of Josh in a santa hat and his Christmas jumpsuit.
camcat, my gosh that is a difference in weight between kids. Was DS smaller when he was born?
We got the kids photos with Santa done yesterday. Josh slept through his but I figured that was better than him screaming. DD was very shy so DH had to help hold her on there. Lucky we had her teddy with us as she clung onto him for dear life. Then we also got pictures of Santa with both of them done. Of course as soon as we left DD started waving and saying 'Bye Santa' Where was that confidence during picture time.
Josh slept through last night :yelclap: Slept from 9-6. I doubt it will become a habit of his just yet but it was nice DH and I both getting a full night sleep.
Off to the family fun day today

had dh work chrissy party today. it was at a small water park really family orientated. it was so much fun. i put ds into a floaty ring and he fell usleep so funny wish i had the camera with me at the time. he is such a water babie just like dd which is great as i want to spend as much time in the water this summer as i am sure it will be a scorcher:sunshine:. had sone really:gloomy: nights lately and warn/hot days so hope the dams fill.
haydens mummy: good luck for sleep school this week hope all goes well.
meegs: gotta do the santa picks a bit slack on that front .
camcat: ds is the same weight 6.2kg at 9 weeks as dd was at 13 weeks but he is longer but he is a big boy for a boobie man
missb::hugs:hope all goes well with the op. i have a friend who lost her babie at 8weeks recently and had to have the d and c and seem to recover quite well:fingerscrossed: all goes well for you and you have no problems afterwards.
jcb: hope the concert went well. by the way i didn't buy anything from target thursday i just went home:laughing:.

today taking dh shopping and the girls to see "a nicer santa"so fingers crossed he is better than the last one.
I ask dh what he wants for xmas and he says'oh I think a gps system "Im like hello who's going to pay for that I think he forgot Im not working.ha we'll buy him one alright well use his money hehe so should be fun as my dh is not a shopper .We put all our xmas lights up last yesterday hubby has gone completely mad you dont need our inside lights on at night as the outside ones are bright enough, def fun for the kids and sienna thinks its soooooooo cool.
haydens mummy-sounds like you had a good time at the water park wish it was hot enough here for that

 hope everyone is going well and enjoying the weekend.
Miss Elizabeth is 12 weeks old now and weighs 5kg :D
She has only gained 300grams in the last month but I would say that's because she has dropped her night feed, what do you think? She is still doing 10-12 hours a night and skipping the 2am feed.
The health nurse said to wake her up and feed her!!! No way jose!!
My father says we are very lucky with her sleeping through and that we are in for a shock when she starts teething then he laughs
We were having play time the other day but I was called away to the phone so Miss Elizabeth finished play time by herself, rolled on her side and put herself to sleep right there and then

Hi guys, haven't got time for personals sorry...except :hugs:to Missb....
I've been away since Fri...went down south so had a bit of fun...except was at that cousins house I've mentioned with the noisy kids so they drove me crazy then last night was at a Hotel in Bunbury, went down there for family thingo and came home about 10:30pm and the couple in the room next door were having a bit of "hanky panky" very loudly and then they woke us again at about 1am as well as all the doors banging to all the rooms and people talking down the pathway and taps running, showers going and toilets flushing...we could hear everything all night!
The great thing was tho when our kids were up at 6:30am we made no attempts to keep them quiet to keep the noise down :devil6::laughing: (btw, the old devil smily was waaay better)
My Aunties house was great...she has done it all up inside with little :noel: stuff everywhere, her :tree: looks fantastic and she has little lolly and choc bowls everywhere...it's like a little Christmas wonderland (I thought of you meegs  )
Anyway, forgot all the other stuff I was going to say...been sitting here getting covered in sticky tape by DD, shes very cute sometimes (when not being a cheeky menace)
Gotta go xxxx
Hi everyone.
henry - tried to see what muppet I am but the link wasn't coming up :(. Will try again later (hopefully I'll remember). Glad you had fun @ your DH's xmas do. Sounds similar to our one today which was good fun.
meegs - DS1 was smaller but only a little bit. DS1 was 3.465kg (7lb 10oz) and Dev was 3.645kg (8lb 1/2oz). Surprising that Dev bigger really as DS1 had to have formula feeds to suppliment as I could only feed from one breast for ages after the abcess and whatever and generally ff bubs put on weight easier/quicker than bf ones but Dev , being fully bf is powering ahead .
nmummy - yay for the kiddies sleeping in. Gotta love it when you get a random and unexpected break
michelle - :smiliedance:go maddy go!
missb - more :hugs:. Hope you feel better soon and that things come back good tomorrow.
pumpernickel - I agree - if she wants to sleep through go right ahead and let her. Can you get her to feed a bit more during the day to get a bit extra weight on? (Not that it matters about her weight as such if she's happy and growing and whatever, just a sugestion to keep the CHN off your back). She looks like a little cutie to.
mish - glad you had a good time while away.
Well, had DH's work thingie today and both kids went well. DS1 and I had great fun in the kiddie pools but Dev just paddled his feet a little as was too cold for him. Both got spoiled by santa to. DS1 got a set of 4 soft tonka car things that make noises and stuff and Dev got a Leap Frog frog thing (the one where you squeeze his hands and feet and he sings and stuff). Typically DS1 thought his pressie was awesome but as soon as he saw everyone else opening pressies he wanted to play with all theirs instead lol.
Have lots of cute pics I have to put up so hopefully will get some time over the next couple of days. Going to head to the shops tomorrow to pick up DH's stocking fillers and then our xmas shopping all done (yay111). Although I think DH still has to get my stocking fillers but that's his problem - I won't have to battle the xmas masses at hte shops which is the important thing.
Well, back after a short break. DS1 just bejeepers out of me! As I may have mentioned DH is responsible for washing the dishes in our house (and is notoriously bad for leaving them till I have absolutely no dishes left before getting them done:mad:). Well DH was 'watching' DS1 while I'm on here and I heard a massive crash and DS1 start crying. Went rushing in and DS had pulled a plate and bowl from the bench. It had fallen and smashed all over the kitchen floor. Thankfully DS onlt has a small scratch on his shin where some of the plate bounced back up and collected him. rather than all sorts of damage from a plate on his head. He must have started to run away as the plate started falling (luckily). DH says "that's why you can't pull things off the bench". I reply " yes, he souldn't pull things from the bench but the dishes should be washed and then they wouldn't be there for him to pull on!!!". DH shamefacedly admited that this was a good point so hopefully he will keep doing all the dishes regularly now rather than leaving them.
Had to laugh after though as said to DH " On the upside, maybe he'll remember this now and won't grab at stuff on the bench any more". DH nods, then couple of minutes later comes in to me and says "another upside.................that's 2 less plates I have to wash now" (Typical male response huh)
Anyways, gotts go organise something for dinner now so catch ya's later

Jeclipse Heath is so cute and he is so grown up. Im so excited about chrissy with EJ this year I have gone so overboard with presents for him but ohh well.
Camcat your DH sounds like mine finding an upside to every situation. Glad you and the boys had a good time at your work thingy.
Well we have decided that the date fo our wedding will be on the 30/8/08 :smiliedance: and DP agreed that we can start trying for bubba number 2 at the begining of July next year I will go strait onto clomid so hopefully it happens strait away so at the most ill only be 8 weeks preggers Im so excited I want another bubba now.
Anyway EJ is great and growing beautifully.

:wave:hi jeclipse glad to see you back.
amity:well jack has been in crawler nappies for 1 week now so i guess he must be one of the biggest babies even though he is the second youngest:laughing:.he is going up into 00 size clothes as all his others are too short in the croth and legs but shirts and shorts are still ok. so glad as i have some real cut outfits .
does any one elses breast fed bub go 2-3 days with out a poo? dd did but she also had formular. ds poo is still normal not clogged up but just sh!t loads pardon the punn and ever time he does one i end up with it every where as the nappy overflows and have to soak his clothes and just rinse him under the shower(sorry tmi).
ds has just discoverd his hands and feet and is now a real jibber jaws. don't know where he gets that from:biggrin:
missb: glad you are fealing better.
camcat: if you use the link on the second post it works i did the same thing for the muppet quiz.
toodles all talk later:raspberry:
I've got most of my shopping done too....just gotta get DH's, Mums, BIL and both MIL & FIL....the last 3 I still don't really know what to get :hair: Every year this happens, they are so hard to buy for...I'm getting DH an MP3 player, Mum one of the "Family Tree" programs for the compter, it's like a Photoshop one almost as you put in special dates and then photos etc so Mum can put in my Grandparents weddings and like my Dads birth etc etc....it's really cool!
I've got MIL a 1.5" LCD photo keyring (they are only $30 and sooo cool, holds 70 pics) but have no idea what to get FIL and BIL and gonna get something else for MIL.
I have up loaded some new pics so will put them up. Not too happy with my tree this year as it is getting old and out of shape etc so am going to buy a new one....does everyone reckon I should wait till New Year sales? I reckon they might go cheaper then???
Also putting up pics of our picnic the other day and some of the boy etc
camcat, so funny about the dish!
henry, Crawler nappies! Marc was in them for a couple days cos I ran out of infant so had them as bulked up when they were on sale but they were def a bit big!
Marc sometimes doesn't poo for a day and when he does it's massive too, so can imagine if it was 3 days worth!
He used to poo every nappy but now maybe does 3-4 poos a day and then sometimes won't do one and then will do more the next day...bf it's always all over the place.

 henrygirl, elizabeth only does number 2's every 2-3 days and it's at night too so I'm really comfortable now taking her on outings in her cloth nappies. :yelclap: apparently it's common for bf bubbies to go a few weeks without doing poo's. They use up all the nutrients and there is no wastage :)
Whatever you do, don't have scrambled eggs! OMG I had them last week which meant Elizabeth got second hand eggs and her farts could sink a ship!
Whatever you do, don't have scrambled eggs! OMG I had them last week which meant Elizabeth got second hand eggs and her farts could sink a ship!
:laughing:I know! I had quiche when in hospy with DD and hers stunk....then had again with DS...his not as bad as DD but def very stinky when you have eggs :laughing:
Morning all
mishlc, great pics. Love the one of the boys sleeping at the picnic  Marc is growing so quickly, he has such bright blue eyes.
And thanks for thinking of me the other day sounds like I would have loved it
Where did you get those ornaments (the giraffe and the elephant)? They are sooo cute.
henrygirl, yay on Jack finding his hands and feet. Josh found his hands just yesterday.
amity, yay on the wedding date. I was 12 weeks preg at my wedding in March.
jeclipse, teething already? Good to hear the teething gel is working. Is it a bottom middle tooth?
Gorgeous pics. I love his little arm rolls, so cute.
miss b, love your Christmas pics of the kids, very cute. I must endeavour to get pics of Josh in a Santa hat today.
Glad to hear you are feeling better.
camcat, cant wait to see more pics of your boys. Be sure to post them soon for us.
 So funny about the less dishes to wash comment. Men huh?
I got a horrible migraine on Saturday (loss of vision, speech difficulties and throbbing head) so I am taking it easy this week as I think it may have been my body's way of telling me to slow down. Had been working my butt off with cleaning, shopping, looking after the kids and walking on the treadmill. Took until I got the migraine to realise it is very rare that I get to sit down on the couch (without a child on my lap) and just relax. Thank god it was a Saturday though so DH cleaned the house, looked after the kids and cooked me dinner
Cooked up gingerbread men the other day and they are all gone already  Will have to try and find the time to make some more today.
Josh is doing well, generally sleeps from 9pm to 3-4am then gets up at 6-7am when DH is getting ready for work. Just a quick question, at the site where Josh got 2 of his needles it is still hard and reddy/purple colour. He got them done 8 days ago, should it be lasting this long? He is still his happy little self and it doesnt seem to bother him at all.

September Babies (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/anabelsmum/SeptemberBabies.jpg)
Will probably have a fiddle around later and jazz it up a bit. Does anyone else have a Christmas baby pics to add?
does any one elses breast fed bub go 2-3 days with out a poo? dd did but she also had formular. ds poo is still normal not clogged up but just sh!t loads pardon the punn and ever time he does one i end up with it every where as the nappy overflows and have to soak his clothes and just rinse him under the shower(sorry tmi).
its normal for a breast fed bub to go up to 10 days without doing a poo, DD hasn't gone for a poo for the last few days, so i'm thinking she's starting the long streaches without doing a poo now
man everyones bubs are so cute, they don't look like new borns now
Alexis is still tiny, and still looks like a newborn, apart from she can hold her head up really really well, I got her weighed last friday and she's just reached 10lb, so she's getting there  she's only really just started smiling this past week, although she had smiled a few times since around 8wks old,
does everyone else recon time is just flying by? Alexis is over 11wks now, just about 3mths it feels like its gone super super fast for me, before I know it she'll be a year old:yes:
Hi girls
First some personals....
Henry- Must of been hard not to buy anything that day as there were lots of sales on too.... And BF babies can go a week without a poo its FF babies that should do one every day...Well that is what I was told....
Meegs- Such a good idea with the Chrissy shots of the bubs...They all look so cute....
Trulyblessed- Is it all right if I call you TB just easier to write really....Anyhoo your little girl at 11wks is still just under what my DS1 weighed at birth he was 10p 5o.....
Hi to everyone else....
My gosh what a weekend we had...I am still so tired from it...Friday we had two concerts for Christmas to go too, then Saturday we had to go to Logan for a bday party, we left here at 11.30pm and it took us 2 hours to get there as there was a smash on the gateway and they had to close the highway...Got home late too...Sunday we had DD2 bday party at Macs then we had our street party, then my family over for dinner that night....I am still so worn out by it all and this weekend is no better....Got to love the Holidays:biggrin:
I have been up since 4.30am  as Seb got up for a feed then I had to get DD1 up for school as she is going to Movieworld today and they had to leave at 6.15am to beat the traffic then she come home at 4pm and then goes to my Brothers as him and future SIL are taking her to the Verionca tonight....So I guess she won't be going to school tomorrow....plus I also have to take DD2 to her prep school today at 2pm to meet up with her new teacher and meet class mates for next year....Its a wonder I get any sleep at all really....I NEED MORE HOURS IN THE DAY....:hissy:Sorry about that but I do feel much better now.....
Well this is not getting my present wrapping done as I only have today and Thursday to do it without Kiddies around....Catch you all later on....
Trulyblessed- Is it all right if I call you TB just easier to write really....Anyhoo your little girl at 11wks is still just under what my DS1 weighed at birth he was 10p 5o.....
Hmm TB sounds like a disease lol :laughing:, how bout calling me Truly? or TB will be fine once I get over the disease feeling lol
yip DD is still smaller than most new borns lol, she's come along way from the 5lb7oz that she was
sounds like you've been busy, this time of year is a shocker ay,
Meegs that is such a good idea we have some very cute kiddies dont we.
My little cute kiddie has been a right turd today and last night he just does not want to sleep at all usually he gives me at least 1 1hr sleep and then maybe 2 30min - 45min naps but nothing today he just wants constant attention which is hard because we have family coming tomorrow for xmas and I need to get ready im trying to cook a roast and clean but so far nothing has been achieved.
What has everyone brought their DH, DP for chrissy I have got DP a new golf bag but cant think of anything else for him he is the last person I have to buy for.
Im still waiting for my new laptop to turn up from Dell its been 14 days now and they estimated 7 to 10 aparently they sent it to Albury by mistake and it should be here today but so far nothing.
Truly Alexis is one tiny bubba isnt she at least she is getting good wear out of her smaller clothes EJ was barely in his for 3 weeks he is now into 00 suits.
jcb this time of year is always so hetiic and even more hectic now I have 1 bubba cant imagin how hard it would be with more then one

here is jack boyhttp://henrygirl.zoints.com/album
Marc sometimes doesn't poo for a day and when he does it's massive too, so can imagine if it was 3 days worth!
He used to poo every nappy but now maybe does 3-4 poos a day and then sometimes won't do one and then will do more the next day...bf it's always all over the place.
I know how you feel Katie was the same..I would dress here up to take her out and then dhe would have this massive poo and I would have to change her again.Thank goodness that has settle down and she has a poo mostly every day. Love the photos..the picnic slideshow was so cute!
Meegs great job with the baby christmas photos how sweet do the all look there:baby:. Hope your feeling better today there is nothing worse than not feeling well and having to be mummy. yay for your DH..what a guy!
Trulyblessed I was just saying to DH yesterday just how fast this year has gone...last xmas it was 1 baby this year it's 2!!
hi to everyone else hope your having a great week and that our babies are being as cute as they can possibly be:flowerz:
henrygirl love the pics I almost forgot just how big we all got..lol!!!
jcb, Hope you get more sleep tonight...
meegs, I either got them at Big W or Kmart...I'm 90% sure it was Kmart...they are really cute hey? When they do all the sales I'm gonna get some more and some of the funky christmas ones like the long legged Santas...don't know if you know wwhat I mean, anyway, gonna get some cute ones anyway and next year like I said new tree and no tinsel...only have tinsel atm cos the tree is so old and it was 2nd hand and the branches don't fill out iykwim so there are heaps of gaps etc and it looks crappy so the tinsel kinda covers a few flaws.
Oh, nice DH btw...mine is hopeless...the best he would do if I was sick would be offer to cook dinner and poss some dishes and tidy up...actually that sounds like a decent effort but when he's sick I feel like a maid and he rings a bell and i fetch cos he can't move off the couch....
Truly, I reckon it's flying by. I used to say when i had DD, I can't wait till shes 3 mths and it just crawled along and so with DS I was thinking the same as in...just get past the 1st 3 mths but I've not found it anywhere near as challenging this time round and it has flown by...I even think....my DD is half way to being at school! Before I know it they'll be leaving home hahaha
amity, Thanks...also, I was thinking the same thing when I just saw henry's pics...our tums were huge!
I'm getting DH a MP3 player but he wants some ridgy didge 8g one that costs like $300+ but he never normaly wants expensive stuff so he's gonna get that and then he's conned his parents into getiing him $200+ headphones *rolleyes* Oh, well....we're just lucky we have $$$ this year...next year we'll prob have a mortgage again and it'll be back to average presents....I think after 8yrs of always saving and being on a budget we can have 1 crazy Christmas hahaha
Here we go, Christmas pics updated with Jack's pic:

Hi everybody
I am lost again. unbelievable....
anyway, had very busy weekend, went camping with friends, and it was great. stayed in bunk house, though. sleep deficit is huge, but it was worth it.
our friend did the "saint mikulas" thats what is happening back home on the night of dec 5th, when saint mikulas goes to houses with angels and devils, and kids are supposed to sing a song or say a poem, and mikulas is asking whether they were good and behaved well all year, or naughty, and dependig on that, the kids will get sweets, or potetoes with bbq bricks :D
usually older kids dress like that, sometimes adults, in which case it can be quite frightening. and then you can use that "be good or the devil will come get you!!" for the rest of the year :raspberry:
it was great, I must share a picture
saint mikulas (http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee215/katkadol/mikulasaspol.jpg)
the group pic (http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee215/katkadol/spolecne-1.jpg)
I am still recovering from the weekend, so I did not have time to read back much, so will do personals when I catch up.
but meegs, I love that pic of xmas september babies, I must do one with max. just give me time!! I bought the hat (I could not fit the small one on his head , so bought the big one. will need some tampering with, we shall see )
Yay I finally got my computer so excited it turned up at 8pm last night.
I have finally got EJ down for a sleep he just is not interested in sleeping during the day and I am worried that he isnt sleeping enough he is generally happy most of the time however he is only getting on average about 10hrs sleep in a 24hr period which isnt enough. God I can't survive on that litte sleep.
Well its been 15min and I can hear him stiring again I best try to put him back to seep
:noel::snow::xmas::tree::noel::snow: I love Chrissy too
katkadol, That sounds great...what a fun experience for kiddies...so different. My cousins partner is from Switzerland (well she was born here but her Mum from there) and she does the whole Swiss Chrissy opening presents Christmas Eve etc....I always ask DH if we can be half Swiss and open 1 present Christmas Eve if we're awake but he is a spoiled sport and says no, we have to wait till Christmas morning.....
The thing that annoys me is he doesn't get excited like I do so he sleeps in and me and the bubs are waiting round for him to wake up so we can open the pressies!!!! We go wake him up tho...then the lazy bugger goes and has a sleep in the arvy and I'm left with the kids....I'll be with the extended fam this year so I AM having a sleep, hehehe
Amity, I don't know if I'd stress too much...DD hardly slept in the day either but she had a huge sleep at night...ask your HN if you're worried???
Yay on the computer!!!!
Hey guys.
Had some really busy days recently.
So very sad :gloomy: so gonna unload here to get things off my chest. Got a phone call and visit from my little sis monday. She asked to come visit and when she got here was really upset and said she thought she'd blown things with her boyfriend. Cuddled her and had a chat and she said that over Easter this year when her BF was away she'd gone out with some mates. She said she got pretty drunk and when they got back to hers she kissed one of the guys and was upset because she'd recently been having dreams and flashbacks obout it and had felt so guity that she'd told her BF that stuff had happened. She said he'd said he felt hurt but really loved her and they'd try sort through it. She was a mess and I while talking I asked how far things had gone. She said she asn't 100% sure coz she was drunk but she knows some kissing and stuff before she said no. Things didn't seem right so kept talking and stuff. Eventually got the full story out of her. She'd kissed the guy back when he kissed her then after a little bit she'd pushed him back and said no coz she'd started to sober up a bit and remembered her BF. The guy then ignored her and proceeded to force her :crying:. She was still blaiming herself when we were talking on Mon. Saying she gave him the wrong impression by kissing him back. My poor sis, I kept telling her that the minute she said no and he kept going it was all him and in no way her fault but she still feels guilty. She just pushed away the memories of it and told herself that she'd imagined it coz she was drunk but recently he tried to force her again. Thankfully another guy she knows came and pulled him away and punched him out for it. Since the 2nd incident she's been having nightmares and flashbacks about the 1st time. She only ended up telling her BF something had happened because she flet guilty when he said he could see them getting married and having kids etc one day, and when she told him she said it like she'd just cheated or something and as though it was her fault. My heart is just breaking for her. thankfully I convinced her to tell her BF the whole story. He was willing to sort stuff out even before knowing the full story so I know he'll be there for her. She knows she can call or come see me whenever she needs me and she's also agreed to see a councelor so I think she'll be ok eventually but I'm so devastated for her:gloomy:.
OK. feel a bit better for having unloaded all that so thanks for listening (well reading anyway).
On a more positive note, had our playgroup xmas party today which was great fun. Kind of glad it's the last week as will be good to have less on leading up to xmas as super busy time of year. DS1 had an absolute blast but Dev just slept through most of it .
meegs - Those xmas bubba pics look great. Have one of Dev so will upload soon (really truly, just so busy that always seem to run out of time but will get it done soon as getting too many cute ones that ned to get up there lol). Glad your migrane didn't hang round too long. So easy to overdo it at this time of year.
henry - Dev is in Crawlers too. I can still fit him in infants but less likely to have leakage in the bigger ones plus already had couple of boxes of them so was just easier all round to move to them.
amity - Yay for the new pc. Hope EJ settles into better sleep routine for you.
mish - love the pics! Marc looks just the same but bigger. Such cute kidlets. We're off to a family pic this Sat with my parents and my dads parents/family etc which should be nice. If nothing else will be good to see everyone.
katkadol - That's so great that you keep your traditions and stuff happening here (even if the weather is all wrong :p). Love the pics.
Hello to all the rest of you lovely ladies. Sorry for the personals I missed but I still luff ya's :D
Well, last couple of nights Dev has started sleeping 9-10 hrs. Was great and really hoping is his new permanent routine (even though leaves my (.)(.) feeling fit to bust lol).
Can't think of anything else to add so of to get myself some dinner.
Camcat big:hugs: to you and your sister thats horrible is she going to take it further like to the police or anything????? I hope she will be ok
As for me Yesterday Arvo EJ slept for 4 hrs and I was so happy however last night he slept 9.30 - 2.15 so 4hrs 45min there and then 3 - 4.30 so all up over ight he only slept 6hrs 15min and I got about 5hrs unbroken if I was lucky so im so so so tired at the moment.
Anyway I best go I need to get him down to sleep otherwise ill just go crazy.
talk soon
camcat, so horrible about your sister. Glad that she could open up about it to you about though :hugs:
Looking forward to seeing some more pics of Dev (when you finally get them up here :p)
amity, glad to hear EJ had a good nap yesterday. Wonder why his sleep is so everywhere at the moment? Hope he settles back down for you soon.
We have Josh's MCHN check at 1pm today so will put up his 2 month stats after that.
Tuesday Josh slept 4 hours in the afternoon then slept from 9pm-6am. Yesterday he slept 3 hours in the arvo then slept 9pm-5:30am. He seems to be finally getting in some daytime naps that are lasting instead of little catnaps all day. Just loosely trying to get into the sleep, feed, play routine and I think that may be whats working for us, not being too strict on it though.
Seems to be getting quieter in here. Where's jcb, luckymama, djf, pumpernickel, giggleberry? I know that Haydensmummy must still be away. Also I think we lost littlekicker again
Has anyone seen popetsmum anywhere?

 Hi meegs, I'm around here and there. Elizabeth is just such a good baby I don't really have anything to add  Our days are tear-free and we just go about our routine and the world is perfect LOL
We're onto 4 hourly feeds now so it's around 6, 10, 2, 6 and then a top up around 7.30 just in time for bed.
I really feel for everyone who is having problems though. You are all such strong women and fabulous mummies :sunshine:
I looked at the september bubbies pic. Too many cutie pies!!

Meegs....I'm here but I don't have much time to post lately. And Littlekickers computer went up to computer heaven so until she gets a new one she won't be back.
Went and got santa pics today and Maddy was so cute...I'll try and take a pic of the pic to show you guys...she's such a cutie. I don't know if I mentioned before but I have started doing full formula feeds a couple of times a day. I don't think I'm producing enough milk since I had the Merina put in a few weeks ago & Maddy has always been a lazy sucker so if she has to work for a feed she fusses & cries...anyway she seems to be doing really well & is starting to get chunkier...so so cute...god I love her!
Well I need to get to bed, I have a busy day tomorrow. Have a good night ladies
Michelle
hey guys.
Feeling a lot happier today. Had small chat with my sis and she seems to be doing well. Her BF is being really supportive which is great and mum says that she's been a lot happier and more positive since we chatted on Monday so things seem to be going in the right direction for her at least.
Amity - she says she just wants to put it behind her so she doesn't want to contact police. I kind of wish she would as I reckon he should be punished but I can see her point of view as at this stage it'd kind of end up just being her word against his and she doesn't want to go through all the stress of it when it's unlikely to result in anything much happening. The little brat (would like to use a much nastier word but wouldn't be allowed) is already denying it all - including the 2nd incident that there was a witness to - he reckons they got into a punch up over something else and the guy is also lying to stir up trouble for him. I could throttle the little f*#!er but will leave it all alone for my sis's sake.
michelle - yay for santa pics! Have to go get one done next week. Can't forget or I'll be all sad like I was last year - kept forgetting and when I realised I had forgotten and the shops had closed and santa wasn't going to be back again last year for DS1's 1st xmas I burst into tears coz had no piccie of DS with santa :(. Refuse to make the same mistake this year. Will remember somehow!!!
pumpernickel - Glad things are going really well. DS1 was like that. Dev really good to though so can't complain really. Only time I have trouble is when Dev either really tired or really hungry and I'm in the middle of something with DS1, then he doesn't like to wait .
meegs - gonna go uplaod some pics now!
K. Added some pics to my site (click links below).

Thanks for letting me know about littlekicker ;)
camcat, its great that your sis has so many people around to support her. Im sure it will make the healing process alot easier.

Your boys are so cute. Love the little slideshows. My DD always tries to get dressed in Josh's clothes too
You sure its the beer Dev loves? Maybe he just loves the Sydney Swans

Just a quick question for those who use formular which type do you use????
amity, we were using heinz but because Josh has reflux we had to switch to S26 anti-reflux. For DD we used S26.
Meegs how did you that Josh had reflux????
