Baby shower game ideas

I was just wondering if anyone knew any good baby showers games i am getting a towel and get anyone to write a message for little bubba and make my own chocolate to give to anyone as a thankyou but don't have any ideas for games
but any ideas would much be apprectiated:) :smiliedance: :smiliedance:

How about the one where you put all sorts of baby stuff eg, nappy, pins, dummy, singlet etc in to a pillow case and get people to pass it around and take an item out and have to guess what it is. at the end give all the goodies to mum to be.
Start a table where everyone has to guess the day bub will arrive, sex, weight etc and then get everyones email addresses or ph numbers to advise them when it happens.
I went to a shower once where all the mums had to tell a funny birth story - that can turn bad as it always ends up as one of those 'who can tell the scaryiest birth story things' so beware.

Baby name bingo. Or bingo with baby item names (nappy, powder, etc.. you get the idea)

Pin the baby on the stork.

How big is mummy's tummy. (pass a ball of wool/string around and get each person to cut a length that they guess the mum-to-be's tummy would be around the waist)

That's all I can think of at the moment. Will let you kow if more come to mind.

Get everyone to bring a photo of themselves as babies...guess who is who...

Hand out little plastic shot glasses with a jelly baby frozen in water..ppl have to guess what time their baby will be born (melt) this one was heaps of fun...ppl screaming Ahhhh, my babies just been born!!!:smiliedance:

Baby animals... cow = calf, koala = joey, monkey = baby...etc... some are really hard like baby fish???? anyone know....????

on paper write abcde and so on and have to right down somthing for babies or that babies have starting with each letter. such as- L-little feet, s- for stinking nappy funny what ppl come up with..

Dummy spit...buy cheap dummies and whoever spits it the furthest wins a prize.

Baby word jumble......write down 10 or so baby related words,but jumbled up,and you have to work out what the words are.:)

acting games print an action on paper eg: feeding baby in public, baby vomits on you, bathing baby etc and the other guess the action.

each person gets a peg and are told not to cross there legs (pergnant ladies shouldn't cross there legs) and if ladies do cross there legs there peg can be taken and then the person with the most pegs gets a prize.

I think making all the prizes something that should be give to the mum to be is a good idea.

mix up baby words and they need to unscramble them eg etltob bottle etc.

fill a baby bottle with jelly beans and guess the jelly beans in the bottle.

draw a baby on a paper plate while it is on top of your head then pick the :thumbsup: and the :thumbsdown: ones.

make little baby ice you can getlittle plastic babies at toy world and they then go into the drinks and the first one that melts with out help needs to call out my waters broke.

Baby fish are called "fry" I believe ;)

Some fun games are:

Blindfolding everyone and having them taste baby foods and trying to guess what the flavour is (hahahaha)!
Having a nappy changing race (get a bunch of dolls/stuffed toys and some nappies - cloth is even better hahaha)...
Ask all the guests to bring photos of themselves when they were babies and then have everyone try to guess who it is!
Pregnancy trivia game where the mum asks everyone questions about her pregnancy, the answers can be SO hilarious (especially from men/children)!

What about this: When each guest arrives, hand them one diaper pin and tell them that for the length of the shower they can't say the word "baby". During the shower, when someone accidentally says the forbidden word, the person who catches them saying it gets to take their diaper pin away from them. The person with the most diaper pins at the end of the shower wins the game.

Just to name a few... Have a wonderful baby shower, and an even better birth!

Firstly give everyone a dummy on a ribbon to hang around their neck.
The idea of this game is to avoid at all costs saying the word BABY.
If you are heard by someone else saying BABY they take your dummy.
Whoever ends up with the most dummies around their neck at the end wins a prize. :cool:

i did the string around the belly one at my shower. it is really funny to see how fat your friends think you are. most of them were way off the mark. only one got really close to my string and she had been pregnant the previous year. mum made me a mobile and got everyone to paint and decorate an animal to hang from it. (good if everyone likes craft) and we also did the can you remember what is in the box. i opened my present a huge box filled with 20 baby items and held them up 1 by 1. then mum handed out paper and pens and they had to write down all the ones they remembered.
