whats better??

Hi there,

Just a quick question - after your expert opinion!

What is better - Kidcity in Mitchell or The Fun Factory in Kambah???

Looking at booking DS's 5th bday party for next month and trying to decide which one to choose. We went to Kidcity last year and whilst we were very happy with it all - every other one of his friends had their party there too - so a bit sick of it iykwim!!

We have heard about The Fun Factory and all reports so far have been good. I rang them and they are a bit cheaper for the party and have quad bikes that the kids can ride on for half hour (part of the package). The food is similar to Kidcity party food. It's just that we have never been there so not sure what to expect!

I have been to Kids Rampage in Tuggeranong but wasn't overly impressed with that.

All input would be fantastic - obviously I'll just have to go check it out myself eventually (when I get a spare second!) but wanted to know what you all thought.

Personally, I love the Fun Factory. It's about half the size of Kid City, but that also means there aren't as many people to contend with. There's also way less noise which means you can actually have a conversation with other people.

I've been to parties at both and to be honest, they're pretty much the same in that respect. The kids do love the quad bikes though!

Probably the only negative thing about FF is that the cafe isn't as good as KC. The coffee is good, but there isn't a lot of food on offer. At least, that's how it was last time I went there (but that was a couple of years ago).

Have you thought about Questacon? I haven't been to a party there and have no idea how they compare in price but a friend of mine had her daughter's 5th birthday there earlier in the year and was very happy with it -and by the sounds of it it would be different from all his friends!

We've decided on Fun Factory - the quad bikes were the seller! Hopefully the food selection is better now - if not doesn't matter - as long as he has a great day, i think the quad bikes will do the trick!

What a great idea about Questacon - i had never thought of it!! Will definately look at it for next years b'day - he'll be six then and should get a lot out of it. I just love Questacon and DS is a real science loving fella - thanks so much for that suggestion!
