When did your child sleep through?

I'm sure this has been done before but I'm interested in the results!

I'm not looking to plug any sleeping solution here, I would just like to know honestly when your LO started sleeping through regularly.

Might give those of us struggling a bit of perspective!

2yrs and 3mths for DS#1.
He stilll wakes on average about once a week though.
Ds#2 is only 6mths but I am hoping he will start sleeping through a lot sooner than what DS#1 was because #3 is due 8mths.

14 Loooooong months it took for DD to sleep thru! She did sleep thru for 2 weeks at 10 months, but then went back to waking again!

If it was multiple I could have voted for both my kids. Mr C is 18 months and waking once a night, although if he doesn't go to bed until after 10pm then he sleeps to dawn.

first time at 10 weeks but she wakes up sometimes for a feed but that only started when I went back to work:no: talk about bad timeing:thumbsdown:

Sarah slept like a dream baby from 9 weeks to 6 months and then the whole thing went completely pear shaped and I still have no idea why!

Then around her first birthday things started to get better and bit by bit we've managed to sort it out again.

And now we're back to (almost!) dream baby again! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: that she keeps it up, at least some/most of the time, when the new baby arrives :)

DD slept through every single night from 10 weeks to 4.5 months, then went back to waking up 3+ times every night. She actually slept 8pm to 6am in her own bed the other night but I think it was just a one-off (I got up about 15 times to check on her, it was so unusual!)...

DS is 19 months and still wakes once or twice a night. Every time he wakes up he wants a bottle of milk to get him back to sleep- and if we dont give it to him he will scream for hours.

Almost 14 months here and still waiting......:sleeping:

In the last month though he has slept through a couple of times a week....he's not doing it with any consistency but we're hoping it will happen soon.

ds is 13months and doesnt. never has consistantly. maybe once or twice lol. oh well. whats sleep anyway :sleeping:

It's gone up and down.

the 'classified' sleeping through the night.. about 3 months... for about a month, then waking again, and then sleeping again at 9 months.. they did pretty well from 18 months - 2 years... and we;ve had one or the other waking almost every night since.

Don't know why... they just do.

Gabriel's still waking twice a night.

I think I've just resigned myself to the fact that I'll get a good nights sleep once they all hit about 5 or 6.:rolleyes:

My dd has slept through the night from 5 weeks and 4 days she has only woken up once since then at 3 am on night but that was because she vomited before she went to bed and wanted a bottle..
I so feel for you all i don't think i could cope if she woke up every night i love my sleep and so does my girl she still has 2 2hr sleeps through the day aswell...
And she is 16 months old..

My DS slept through from 5 weeks old.

I could not pick an option because it really has varied.
She slept through the night from around 2.5 months to 6 months then up again at various times for the next few months. From around a year she went to bed by herself and slept till morning no problem.
Then from around 2 that stopped , probably related to sleeping with us and me on holidays back in Ireland.
Now Aoife will not go to bed on her own and if she wakes up (which she usually does) she comes into our bed and usually goes back to sleep pretty easily.

Elise only started sleeping though when i totally weaned her of bFing, so about 2 yr 3mths old, with the exception of her 'off' nights, but thats not too often thankfully!!

Jordyn is only 14 wks so not expecting much from her yet. she usually sleeps in 4hr stints at night, but once she wakes at 2.30am she's in bed with me so i dont have to keep getting up to her....to slack for that :p

I said 2 - 3 years because DS started sleeping through sometimes just before he turned 3. He sleeps through most nights now (3 years, 2 months), but still wakes up sometimes.

It doesn't bother me, to be honest.

My first was sleeping through every night by 10 weeks, my second was sleeping through every night by 4 months, my last 2 were pretty much the same, except DS4 was sleeping a solid 6 hours everynight from birth! That was lovely.

My first slept through at about 6 weeks, second from when she was born she is 3 now and still loves her sleep and our third well . . . she is 14 weeks old 100 days to be exact and she has slept through 4 times and that was about 8 weeks ago!!! I am really looking forward to a whole nights sleep (Just one would be good).
