Childcare - Lower North Shore

Hi there

Our first baby is due on 29th August and I'm trying to organise childcare for early next year, can anyone recommend any good childcare in the Lower North Shore, Sydney area?
I feel like I'm not really sure where to start. I've already been told by one Family Daycare Centre that they won't accept my name on a list until after the baby is born but by then the waiting list will be massive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Your council will be able to recommend some reputable childcare centres. You can go and see all of them and ask questions etc. I work on the north shore but don't live there so can't recommend any. AT 4 mths I was able to book mine in for 3 days that was all that was available, but in the mena time I found a family daycare down the road from my house that was just perfect and wouldn't cost me the earth. You will be luck to find one of those. Question some childcares about their waiting lists soemtimes by hassling them they will give you a place.
