OMG! Well, I am a natural blonde (please dont hold that against me). I died my hair from blonde to a dark black brown. I have HORRIBLE regrowth and was wondering when, if at all, is it safe to dye my hair again??

I use a home dye packet.... (I dont know whether that would make a difference....)

Are any of you having the same problem?

I mean, when you go into the hair dresser you can smell the fumes heaps bad then even when you are not getting your hair dyed. And that's just for a hair cut!

i am getting my hair done on friday, cut and dyed and i asked my GP and my hairdresser when i was preg with DD and they both said it is fine, my hairdresser only uses organic products now and they are so great, a lot of these products are available from health food stores.

hope this has helped.

Speak to your hairdresser its safe to do i bleached my fringe all through my pregnancies and as long as the area is well ventilated then it should be ok. Your best bet is to chat to them though

I recently asked my haird dresser and she is pregnant. She said she would steer clear of dyes that sit on your skin for an extended period of time like full colours but since I get foils, then I am safe. Can you opt for streaks or foils or something that doesn't sit directly on your scalp? Also, the organic idea sounds great too. We can't give birth with excessive regrowth so where there's a will....

I dont know.... I dont really like getting streaks, costs too much to maintain. My home dye only costs $20. And i need to do the regrowth. I dont know what to do!!

I've heard its perfectly safe to dye hair during pregnancy. Just do it in a well ventilated area...

So if I do it outside and hair dye is on my scalp it should be fine....?

Should I at least wait until after 12 weeks? Or it doesnt matter as long as it is well ventilated?

Sorry to ask so many questions over agian..

Found this for you... http://www.babyandpregnancy.co.uk/HairColourPregnancy.html
So probably best to wait till after 12 weeks.

Oh and just a warning... I've heard sometimes the hair doesnt hold onto the colour properly because of the hormones... so you might not get the desired colour...Happened to a friend of mine...
