Im still having issues with settling DD1 who is 6 1/2 months old to sleep at night. Its her first sleep that really makes it difficult for both DH and myself.
Things at daytime have dramatically improved since I now pop her in bed when I spot shes tired.
The problem starts at night time after her bath 6.30pm. We do the whole night time routine eg book, brush teeth, low lights etc and when its time for her final feed, she becomes fussy and has some then isnt interested any more. Shes more concerned with whats in the room then wanting her breastfeed. This really worries me as shes dragging her bed time beyond 8.30 to around 9.30 or 10pm and its really wearing me out not to mention stressing me.
We gave a bottle of Karicare formula in the hope she would be fuller and sleep better but she only had 10ml.
Im really not sure what to do now.
She hasnt had her 6 month growth spurt so Im wondering if this could be it.
She wakes twice a night for feeds and has solids 2-3 times a day. Ive cut back from 4 TBS to 3 TBS of solids as I thought maybe this was affecting her tummy. She does have mild eczema but I wrap her to help her avoid scratching it.
I dont know why its taking her so long to fall asleep and why shes so fussy. Im thinking tonight I should try feeding her to sleep earlier like say 7pm as she might be over tired.
A helpful bub hubber suggested I go to baby bliss.com.au and I got a good routine there for my bub that I downloaded which Im currently going by. So far the day time part is going well but the night time bit is very out of wack. I dont think its her teething at the moment and healthwise shes fine.
Any ideas please?
