This is the most scariest thing that has ever happened to me.
My movement monitor alarm went off about 30 mins ago.. Thankfully it was a false alarm! DD had moved up the top of the cot and it could no longer sense her.
Haha I must have been shaking and laughing for a good 10 mins after I saw her smiling face just looking at me after DH and I ran in to see her..
What a relief!

I'm glad it wasn't anything serious :) Sounds like your bubba can wriggle!
YEah, we've got one of those motion detectors. Really scared the **** out of me the 1st time it went off. It goes off quite a bit actually. We still use it & Katelyn's 2. It just goes off whenever she decides to shuffle right up to the top of the cot.

DD doesnt have it now, but when we did use the sensor it went off a few times because she was right up one end.
DH & I would rush in there and find her fast asleep! Its amazing how fast I could run.
Even though we had a few false alarms, I always felt safer with it.

I must say I think those things are such a waste of money and do farm more harm than good.

My motherinlaw bought it for me :) I didn't use it until recently because DD and I were co-sleeping.
I never thought I "needed" it, but I figure if I have it, I might as well use it.
i think they are a great idea IF you know first aid and can do something if the baby has an apnoea and the alarm sounds...
otherwise whats the point in having it?
Hi Marna,
Gosh, that must have been so scary! Glad to hear everything was ok!

That's so true. I did a first aid course when studying children's services at tafe, so I do know a little about first aid for infants, although I think it would be a good idea for me to do it again with DH as a refresher
Katie, it was such a relief to know she was okay! It was hilarious, DH and I were so thrilled she was okay. I couldn't re-wrap her I was shaking and laughing so much. I just grabbed her and hugged her SO tight! She must have been all "Oh, wow! Is it time to play now?!" because we were smothering her lol.

OMG how cool is that? And we're still both paranoid mums haha. I did a Cert III. I enrolled for the diploma, but dropped out and did a multimedia course instead haha.
