I am pregnant with my 4th bub ( I insane BTW ) & Have recently moved up near Joondalup so I'm considering have the bub at Joondalup Hospital. Has anyone had a bub there who can give me any feedback. My last bub was born at KEMH which is a wonderful hospital & I was considering going there again but it a bit of a trek to appointments with 3 other kids. & imagine getting stuck on the freeway in rush hour in Labour.
Any feedback good or dab appreciated.

I had my DS at Jonndalup Health Campus in May last yr. I really enjoyed my time in the maternity ward, the nurses are really friendly and helpful.
My son had attachment problems, and was dropping weight, so they organised for a nurse to help me with all of my night feeds. I had to finger feed him ( tape a small tube to my finger, put the end of the tube in a bottle of expressed milk, and put my finger in his mouth for him to suck on, so he could learn how to suck properly, and so we could monitor how he was sucking) It was very tiring, as I couldn't just pop him on the boob, I had to get all of the stuff ready, his suck wasn't strong, so it took a long time for him to feed, and after he was fed I had to express. In the end, the nurses got all of his stuff ready for me, and they would feed him the second half of his feed, so I could express. It was really helpful, and I don't think I could have coped without the nurses there.
What I'm trying to get at is the level of care at Joondalup is very high, and when I have another child, I am definately going back there, no matter where I am located.:)
ps sorry for the long spiel:ecomcity:

I had my DS at Joondalup Hospital (PUBLIC) and it was fantastic. We had an excellent midwife called Alison Montgumery (would recommend her any day). The whole time I was there (4days) I was helped out so much with breast feeding, contraception etc.. I would definately go there and all my friends have had their children there too and have had no problems.
If I was in Perth still I would be there in a flash.
Good luck
