DD1 (6 months) is still being wrapped. It was quite a shock when I told my MIL this today but according to my mothers group most of the mums still do it, ones even 9 months old and he gets wrapped. (He has severe eczema).
My daughter has mild eczema and scratches so wrapping helps.

I think Im doing the right thing as Ive been doing this since birth but we did have a lot of issues last night, I was up over 20 times! Im not sure if it was teething or the heat so today Im working on a day routine to help out with her night sleeps as shes been so difficult and extending her nap to 9.30pm.

What do others think on wrapping at this age?

I'm in the same situation and am wondering whether my wrapping/rocking/patting routine since birth has now become a habit I can't break.

My son is also 6 months and last night I had a shocker too! Although I have a feeling my little tot is teething too and also we were at my brothers place which is hot and obviously not his usual cot.

My SIL made me feel really silly....there I was trying to nurse him to sleep for 2 hours....when she says "I never had to do that with my son, I always just put him in his cot and he went to sleep." To which I replied "So you did Controlled Crying with him?" and she said "No I only let him cry for about 5-10 minutes and then he'd go to sleep." What????? And then she went on to say "I don't remember my son crying as much as yours though."

I know I shouldn't let her comments get to me but they just do!

Maybe its this crazy weather. Melbournes always weird. Im considering buying a ceiling fan for her room as breastfeeding her while we are both pespiring is driving us nuts! Tried popping her on her side last night but when shed roll over shed cry again! Hopefully tonight will be better since Im giving her a second day sleep (she only had one yesterday due to an outing). Today I went by the 2.5 hourly thing and put her to bed during the day without any issues.

PS my mother in laws advice is probably a bit dated and Im sure different mothers do what works best for them.
Hoping others have a better night tonight as well :)
