Hi,
We are moving to Australia from Ireland in Late February. But we are going to stop off in Singapore for a little break for about four days.
There is myself, my partner and our son (6 Years) and our daughter (1 year).
Firstly can anyone recommend a nice hotel that is in the central city, also I would love recommendations of where to go with the children. Am sooooo excited about seeing Singapore, thanks a million.
Best wishes
:)
Hi
I have family in Singapore and have been there heaps of times. Unfortunately I can't help with hotels, maybe try the website trip advisor?
As for things to do Singapore Zoo is great for kids, Santosa Island is fun too http://www.sentosa.com.sg/
As for shopping you can't go past Orchard Road which has shops as far as the eye can see!! Probably the best things about Singapore are the shopping (although its not cheap anymore)and food so make sure you make the most of both! I would recommend eating at stalls where the locals eat, the food is much better!!
Have fun!
Hehe just saw your user name too!
Nice one!
Hi there
I am living in Singapore.
To stay in the city, here's some recommendation
Hotels in Orchard Shopping Hub
- Marriot Hotel 5 star
- Hyatt Hotel 5 star
- Hilton Hotel 5 star
- Orchard Parade Hotel 4 star
- Orchard Hotel
- Holiday inn 4 star
- Mandarin Meritus Hotel 5 star
Hotels in City Hall area (mostly 5 star)
- Raffles Hotel
- Mandarin Hotel
- Oriental Hotel
- Ritz Carlton 6 star at S$350+++ per night
- Pan Pacific Hotel
- Conrad Hotel
What can you do in 4 days?
- Visit Children's Garden at Botanic Garden
- A Day out at Sentosa
- A Day at the Zoo
- Take the duck tour. It is fun
- A Day out at Wild Wild Wet (located at Pasir Ris)
You may want to drop by China Town to check out some asian oriental stuffs. Pretty cool.
Food wise ... not to worry, because Singapore is a food haven!
chewing gum is banned in singapore.
if you need to bring over, just be cautious that you do not get checked at the customs, otherwise, the gums will end up in the bins.
