OK, so last week I found Andrew playing with his little manly bits. Not an usual occurrence, it's like his best friend, he is almost ALWAYS playing with it.

Anyhow, a closer look and I saw that he had actually pulled the foreskin right back. Eek!

Someone please tell me that it is not unusual for boys of his age to be able to do that! I just thought it would be more like at age 3 or 4 before they did that. Perhaps I should go read those parenting books that are getting dusty in the spare room?

It seriously freaked me out that day...NOT that he was doing it...but that he COULD....and that one day he would be grown up (somewhat) and be able to use it. And geez...I know he will grow up and be a man and all that....but it just made me realise he's not my baby anymore and oh, I just want to cry!! :o

Sigh. Why do they have to grow up so quickly? :gloomy:

It sounds about normal blaze was 2 ish when he started, first in the bath then out of the bath when he had no nappy etc. He pulled it right back too it freaked me out its like OMG i was told that boys dont pull it back till they are like double your age!!

Anyhow i was assured by his pead that he couldnt do any damage as if it hurt him he wouldnt do it, makes sense when she put it like that :)

I sort of thought that too - that he wouldn't do it if it hurt. But just before (which reminded me to post this) he came over and asked me to 'close the lid' for him. His words, not mine! It's just all a bit much at the moment!

And thats just me....his Dad is in a whole other world of denial at the moment!

Its totally normal. My son Master2 can do it.

Sounds like the real issue is your baby growing up...

Trust me I went through the same feelings.
When I realised that my little boy was 18 mths (for me it was a marker) I just started bawling.
Probably did that for a few days in a row, I would put him to bed and come out into the kitchen and bury my head into his blanket.

Now I am not so worried. I miss my baby, but I like the person he is turning into. He is kind, sharing, funny, particular, cuddly and mostly CURIOUS.

Its okay. :hugs: He will grow up, but he will always be your baby.

Samuel started retracting his at about 2.5..

I think it all comes down to how much they "fiddle"

As long as he isnt complaining of pain Noo its all good

I explained to him earlier that if it starts to hurt, he should let me know. And he say "willy hurt, go see the doctor, make it better?" with a BIG grin on his face...cos he just LOVES going to the doctor...(like his sick-at-the-drop-of-a-hat father!).

Can't win! :D

I'm ok with him growing up - he's such a cool little person, I love hanging out with him all day. I guess I am just clucky as all get out and I just get a bit emotional :o
