Hornsby Area

Hi All

I've just found out I'm going to have a bay in December 2005.

I'm interested in finding out about mother's groups and pre-birth classes in the Hornsby / Thornleigh area.

I've spoken to a lot of people who have told me to sort out child care ASAP as I hope to go back to work 3 - 6 months after the birth. I'm not sure where to start looking- any suggestions or advice would be most welcome!

Hi Jae, congrats first of all.

'Tis true that you do have to sort out the childcare situation asap, not sure about your area as I live in North Sydney- it isnt far from your place really. These days you have to put some money even just to put your child name whether your child gets the place or not!

We've been so lucky that Thomas has a place at childcare, but the not-so-great thing is that now he has to go to childcare at least once a week (i'm taking a year maternity leave) just so he can keep the place until next year which is when i'm due return to work. He's too young to go to childcare! (Thomas is only 2 months old! my lil precious thing!)

My advise is for you to go to Hornsby Council office as they have the list of childcare in your area.
