Hello
I need some advice, our 3 year old DD turns 4 on March 15th 2008. So I enrolled her in 4 year old kinder for next year, our eldest daughter turned 4 in the January that she started 4 year old kinder and was fine so I have thought nothing of it.
A friend of mine was concerned about us sending DD2 off to 4 year old kinder next year as she thought that she was too young?
What are your thoughts?
My friends concerns were that she may be fine through primary school but experience problems at high school???
As her mum I don't see a problem she gets along well with others, has a great sense of humor, adjusts well to change and is not afraid to voice her needs or how she is feeling. My girls are also tall for their age so even though she would be one of the younger children in her class she would be of the same height as the others.
I had really not thought twice about it until my friend brought it up. I have spoken with the preschool who said that they thought that she would be fine but upon me telling them her age said that she may be to young. They also said that they would let me know by june next year if she wasn't doing well so we could move her into the 3 year old group.
I don't think that she will have a problem with next year or going of too school but I want to do whats right for her and would hate for her to have ramifications from this in years to come.
What does everyone think?
