Red Rash

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if anyone's little one's have had this before:

Hannah started coming down with a temperature Sunday night and it was constantly high all night, all Monday and Monday night. By Tuesday the fever had gone and she seemed to be back to her normal happy self. I did however notice that a red rash has come out over her body, firstly around her genitalia and now it is all over her body???

She doesn't seem unhappy with it or itchy and when you push on it the redness goes away so I know it isn't menangitis. I know it is probably some sort of viral thing but I was hoping someone else has had it and can tell me how long to expect this rash to be around.

It sounds to me like its the end of the virus alot of the time kids break out in a rash after having a temp for a few days, its the virus breaking :)

If you are concerned head to the docs but as you said shes not unhappy or anything and sounds about normal to me :D GIve it a few days it should clear up

My DS recently had a virus with the only symtom being a moderately high temperature and major irritability. On the 4th day he was back to his normal self and a rash appeared on his torso front and back. The rash lasted just 2 days.
