The newly opened Harbord park

Hi there just wondering if any mums go to Harbord park?? i've been there a few times with lots of mums there in little groups, but its hard to make the first move and chat to someone that you dont know.
I'm very new to this area been here 2 weeks, feeling a bit lonely.
I have a boy of three and a girl thats goes to Harbord school.

I don't get down to Harbord as I live over in Fairlight. Are you able to get to the park by the lagoon in Queenscliff/Manly? Myself and a friend go there Wed afternoons. I know what it's like moving to a new area and trying to meet people so let me know if you would like to meet there.:thumbsup:

I would love to come and meet you, but the only thing is i cannot drive i suppose i could just walk there at least the exercise would do me good is there a bus that goes there??

Hi Englendy,

Walking may take you a while but I am sure you could get a bus, not sure which number service would get you there though. The park can be entered from Eurobin St in Manly, so maybe look for buses that head that way, or ask the bus drivers which bus can get you to the lagoon. Having said all this, I usually meet up with my friend at around 3.30pm so this may be too late for you considering you have a child in school, so if you want to PM me I would be happy to meet up with you some time in Manly. :)

Love the new Harbord park. Take my son there every second Saturday afternoon when I have him. I've been driving him to the Queenscliff park while they have been doing all the work at the Harbord one. The Queenscliff park is a little bigger and closed off so the kids cannot roam off.

You will likely meet a lot of mums at the pool at the South Curl Curl beach as well. It's always got lots of mums and kids in the mornings. The kids usually range from 2 and up. There are certainly heaps when I take my kids on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
