Bleeding Mid Cycle - Advice Please!

I have always had a 28 day cycle without fail, but Monday afternoon I noticed that I was bleeding (CD16). It was very dark red/brown and not too much. This went on until this morning when it stopped.

I am very confused because I understand that it could be implantation bleeding, but DH and I only BDed 2 days before (CD13). I didn't think implantation could happen that quickly :confused:

This was after a heavier than normal period (lasted 7 days instead of 4/5). I have not done a HPT since 11/2 (CD28)

Any ideas, suggestions or advice would be great!! Thank you :)

Do you know when you ovulated? Being CD 16 it could be ovulation spotting. Implantation spotting is normally between 6 - 12 days DPO. So I guess is you O'd earlier it may be that?

Yup, it could be ovulation spotting but I thats normally like a couple of little spots. Its does sound more lie implantation bleeding or breakthrough bleeding due to hormones.

Thanks for your responses ladies :D . I've never had ovulation bleeding before, so I guess I wouldn't know if I had it.

On the other hand, I guess I'll have to wait and do another test over the weekend....

Thanks 2boyzmuma!! I have been on the TTC threads since Nov, so I've already found out heaps, although my latest problem (mid cycle bleeding) has stumped me!!

Hi. When AF returned after having #2, I also beld mid cycle, every cycle for four months. This had never happened to me before either, and I had always been a 28 day cycle girl. Anyway, I was getting quite Jack of it as it was lasting up to five days, then a little over a week later, I would be getting AF for sure. So, I took myself off to the Dr, who then put me onto some hormone tablets of some sort to regulate my hormone levels. I was to then start on the pill after the 15 days of the hormone ones. I only took the pill for 14 days, then stopped, and have not had a period or bleeding since.....cos I am now 6 weeks 5 days pregnant!! :smiliedance:
Good luck with it. I would say that your lovely hormones are playing up, and if you want to get some order about what your body is doing, you best choof off to the dr and see what he suggests you try :confused:

Hello. My cycles have always been 28 days, in the last 3 months I've also had a couple of days bleeding around day 14 to 16. I got to the stage that I had enough and just went and seen my doctor.

I would say that your hormones are playing up, and a trip to the doctors wouldn't hurt.. You'd be surprise what your doctor can do for you if you want to get your body back to normal, or just to put your mind at rest.... :)...
