I leaked for months after O was weaned. But we had also been breastfeeding for 12 months, so I don't know if that makes any difference? I think it just depends on your body and what it decides to do.:)

Wow - I must say I envy you ladies - I would love to have enough milk to even be leaking! i don't even have enough to feed my little one let alone worry about leaking:(
Sorry Becky - no advise for you except buy absorbent breast pads and good luck!

I personally found breast pads were a little wayward.
I have seen these plastic cup things in baby target that actually collect the leaked breast milk.
There are also breast pads that have adhesive on the back like a sanitary pad.

Apparently a firm bra can also help to dry up supplies.

If all else fails collect it and sell it on e bay! just kidding

Hi there,

I weaned my son just over 2.5 months ago - and I still have a little that comes out - only when I squeeze though.

I had extremely sore, engorged boobs for about 3 weeks, very uncomfortable. I resorted to cabbage leaves which helped a lot. I wore them to bed - much to the disgust of my husband - he thought I smelt like market gardens

But they did help a little.

it took my boobs ages to calm down once coby decided to wean himself one day and never go back

its been almost 6 months since i stopped and i still get tiny leaks occassionally!

guess it depends on the person, their body, and milk supply!

Becca-Rae, not that I'm into promoting drugs  , but you could look into that prescription one (not sure what its called) that helps your milk dry up....

I had to laugh when I read that - I did that, too. With much the same reaction from my DH. I asked him 'so did ya think when we shacked up that I'd be coming to bed with cabbages in me boobs'?? The things we do!!

Love,
