View Full Version : Misleading FF

I am actually a little bit annoyed at FF at the moment.

I enter all my temps daily at the same time, it calculates my predicted ovulation in that month, so DH and I BD around that time, only to continue entering my temps into FF then *poof* FF changes my chart and my ovulation day changes and all input data is adjusted :banghead:

So the time that DH and I have BD is really pointless as it is not around the original O time anymore. I sometimes check CM but probably not as often as I should.

This is only my 2nd cycle using FF so I am still a bit of a learner burner but any other insight would be useful

You can do a manual overide if you think you O'd earlier, it did the same thing to me last month but I know I o'd the first time. FF is looking for 3 temps higher than the past 5 (i think) so it seems to change it again if you another temp jump.
To me in looks like you probably O'd day 18/19. My only query would be that your CP is high after O, normally it should return to a lower firm position.

Good luck, try to relax, those little swimmers can sometimes last up to a week!!!

Go swimmers go!!!:smiliedance:

Definitely looks like day 18 to me too! Sometimes it is frustrating, I know. But when I was TTC, we just started from day 7/8 and BD every 2nd day until around O time when we *tried* to do it every day (didn't always happen) until we confirmed O had been and gone.

I think that is the safest way to cover your bases because any method of predicting ovulation can only confirm it in hindsight when it's too late!

Yes it originally pinpointed CD 18 until this morning when I entered my temps then it changed.

Karentrolley it is on advanced, does that make a difference?

Relax.....yeah I try to but we've been at it for 10 months now :(
I guess I am a little anxious to get the ball rolling.

I agree I think you O date was the 18th too:) Sometimes FF just does that - it can completely drive you nuts!!:banghead: You can do the override as said before if you are really sure that you O'd then - I disagreed with FF the very month I fell pregnant and overrode their decision on when I O'd. Turned out I was right!

All the best for your BFP this month:)

On the left hand side where you have your options click Analysis and then Tuning/Override. It will then let you choose your O date:)

Override done. That's great. Thanks for the info.

I guess FF is quite sensitive....then again it is a programme and not actual life hey
