Hi everyone! I've seen a few of you lovely ladies TTC for your first bub, like myself, so I thought it would be nice to get us altogether in our very own thread!

I'll go first. I'm 28, married with 2 dogs, no health probs that I know of. We started TTCing in June, so this will be our 3rd try. I was really disappointed when nothing happened the first time around - thought I was gonna get my BFP straight off! Not sure what happened second time, as AF was 5 days late and very strange, so wonder if I may have had a really early m/c. (I now know, a month later with my new found wisdom, that AF wasn't late, I just o'd late).

On CD 7 here, and started temping this cycle and using fertility friend. Looking forward to chatting with you all soon.

Elly - NOOOOOO!!!!!! How mean of AF to show up late! Don't know if this would make you feel better or worse, but if you are sure it was late, and you didn't have the normal PMT symptoms, it's possible you've had a really early miscarriage. It's really common, happens heaps before women even know they are pg. :hugs:

elly_star
11-11-2007, 18:52
Yeah, I guess I didn't consider that it might've been early miscarriage. It kinda makes me feel better in a way, if I think of it as an EM then that proves that we have the ability to conceive, even if it didn't stick around. We have some close friends who have been unable to conceive and are now looking at adoption and every month I've freaked out that the same might happen to us (even tho we're 10 years younger and are healthier etc)

In any case, having just come back from camping all weekend, I'd totally take being pg and camping over having AF and camping! (Did that need a TMI alert?)

Ooh new thread! I was waiting for that to happen. The other was getting ridiculously large, wasn't it? I hope new people find the time to glance over it cos it does have lots of info about us! And Fludo, we need a testing calendar!

fludo
12-11-2007, 07:56
ooh, didn't realise we lost our testing calendar - MODS - please put our testing calendar back on the first post!

I felt the same way when I had my early m/c last cycle. So relieved I knew everything was working properly. Still devastated, but could definitely see the bright side.

Hey wow, we have a new thread! Yeeha!

 I now ponounce this new thread LUCKY!
Those who join our thread will become UTD, so be careful if you are not looking for a rugrat!

Just thought I would pop in and see how we all are- any morning sickness Fludo? Symptoms at all? :detective:

I'm in a great mood (apart from Hayfever), don't know why. Maybe because I know it's 5 weeks until I am on holidays again! :reindeer:

:babydust2: :babydust2:

12-11-2007, 15:25
Ooh Nomsie, you must be a teacher? 5 weeks until I'm on holidays too! :smiliedance:

No morning sickness here and I hope it stays that way. Wasn't feeling much of anything the last few days but not the crampy feelings have come back and am really tired again. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow! :smiliedance:

And yes, I second your warning - only join this thread if you are serious about becoming UTD!

Nomsie
12-11-2007, 15:41
lol, yes I am a teacher- it's great, I always know EXACTLY when the holidays are, and believe me, I am counting down!

Well it is great that you are feelng great, Fludo, I am very jealous! ;) :D

Nomsie
12-11-2007, 16:45
Mmmm... I would have no idea apart from stress... have you maybe had a huge change in diet?

Hi Ladies...

Last night I found out that my SIL is trying for her #3 baby. Im so happy for her & all but also there is a little bit of "we better get preg 1st" IYKWIM?
we have been trying 1year already & when ever she strats trying she normally gets preg within less than 6months.
She has a 2.5yr old & a 1yr old & now she's trying for her 3rd.
Im hoping I fall preg b4 her or very close that we will be preg together. But either way I want to be able to say my due date is b4 her's. I know that sound selfish but I think It my turn. Please dont think im a BI*** coz im not like that at all...It just gets me down when every1 else falls preg & im left here still trying.

xx

Hi all Sorry this is all new to me. I have been trying since March 2007 for #1 and found out in October that I have PCOS. I have started my first round of Clomid this month (late as I didn’t o when I was meant too). I am meant to O over the next few days and I guess I can test on about 29/11(I think).

The TWW was going okay until this afternoon when I got a spin out email from a client of mine (see in the November testing thread). And now I am so excited! I want to the testing day to be tomorrow!

I hope you do HP. Then you can come and join me, Tomsmel and Sun in the due july thread!

All is going well with me. Just under 3 weeks until my first ob appointment and scan. We're not telling anyone until after that. No m/s, just a little icky now and then and bouts of tiredness. Getting really bloated up though and get weird aches and pains, but otherwise, nothing to complain about. Hope you can join me really soon! :fingerscrossed:

fludo
16-11-2007, 17:35
 WEll, let me tell you a preggie brain story. Just a few days after I got my BFP, I was spraying my 3 big hybiscus plants for bugs, only when I'd finished the 3rd plant, I looked at the bottle and realised I'd been using weed killer! . So I ran and found a house and illegally sprayed my plants, but all the new growth bits that I sprayed have all gone yellow and burnt anyhow :o . It was at that moment that I knew I MUST be pregnant! Luckily, haven't had anymore moments like that though.

MS started today though. And I was soooo convinced I wasn't going to get it. It;s a bit weird, I don't feel sick, no stomach ache or anything, but just feel like it could all come up at any moment. It hasn't though. Hopefully it stays that way. :fingerscrossed: It is nice to have that reassurance that hopefully things are on track though.

16-11-2007, 19:29
:laughing::laughing: Fludo! That story cracked me up! hahaha
What a classic! Hope the sickness doesn't get too bad for you, it's such a horrible feeling, but at least it lets you know you're preggers!

fludo
17-11-2007, 08:45
Thanks Hp. I'm feeling normal this morning! :smiliedance: . Maybe I'm gonna be lucky and that was my m/s over and done with! Ok, I'll keep dreaming!

....Well I'm only O'ing now, but you know, I know it's going to be December that I get my BFP... lol :)
I'm such a nut, honestly! ;)

(Note to egg... don't disapoint me this time, now that I have gone and told everyone that I am going to have a BFP this month- how embarassing if I don't! So egg, work for me, or by mid-dec, you are so gone!)

AmyLou
17-11-2007, 12:41
Goodmorning everyone, i hope it's ok that i have joined!?

My name is Amy and i am 22, my husband and i have been married for just over 2 years and we are TTC #1. We have just gotten back from overseas, thought we would go on a holiday before we started trying. I had my last AF on Nov 4th and after taking an OPK test starting on Wednesday i have had positive results for the last three days.

I am very nervous about it all and can't wait for a :bfp: !! If anyone has any advice for me i would appreciate all the help i can get. I have been doing a lot of reading about it all and just hope we are doing it right!

Thanks everyone, can't wait to read more!

Nomsie
18-11-2007, 12:31
Welcome Amy, hope your stay in the ttc threads are short! (Even though I will be really envious if it is! ;) )

And how is everyone else this thundery weekend? The weather is all over the place here- really stinkin hot yesterday and then last night and this morning showers and thunder... pfft, go figure! Although apparently it is happening as El Nino gives way to La Nina.

Anyway, off track! DP and I are eagerly doing all we can to make sure we catch the egg this cycle, and I have high hopes for a BFP this christmas- I am juuuuuust about to enter the TWW, as annoying as it is!

It's really quite annoying testing at the beginning of the month, because the monthly testing threads seem to drag on forever once I get my BFN's!

I was in the supermarket this morning and spent some time looking at the baby stuff, because I am going to put a little basket together for my sister this christmas, and my hormones were all over the place.. once I started to get a little teary I thought I had best move on to the next isle!

Anyway, such a long post but I am quite bored this morning and trying to waste time before I have to get stuck into the housework!! :D

AmyLou
18-11-2007, 14:49
Thanks nomsie, i hope it is too, however after reading how hard it seems to be i'm getting very nervous!

Now is it normal to be making up symptoms in your head!? haha i seem to be having all the symptoms of being pregnant but i'm sure it's faaaaar to early to even be having them. I think i am just making them up in my head.. so silly i know, does anyone else do this or am i really silly?! i hope it's normal!

Nomsie
19-11-2007, 08:34
No it is completely normal- pg symptoms are so similar to af symptoms it is ridiculous! And once you know what the symptoms are, you sit there and go, hang on, I think my boobs DO feel a little bit sore, and I AM really hungry etc etc... COMPLETELY NORMAL (And annoying!) :D

hp-mum
19-11-2007, 10:33
Hi Ladies!

Welcome AmyLou, goodluck with TTC. The only advice I can offer you is just try and relax as much as you can, and try not to let it do your head in! :o But I am sure you have luck on your side .

Nomsie - goodluck with that egg and welcome to the TWW - hope it treats you better than it's been treating me!

Fludo - :fingerscrossed: that m/s is over!

Well, my AF is due in 3 days and I just don't know what to expect. A couple of days ago I thought I could be preggers, but now I just don't know. Sore BBs - but I sometimes get that before AF anyway, and my CM is slightly different than usual, but I don't know :hair:. I'm thinking I might test tomorrow, just to feed my desire, but I'm pretty sure it will be a BFN. Ahhh the TWW!!! :hair:

Fludo - did you notice a change in your CM before your BFP that was different to normal?

AmyLou
19-11-2007, 10:56
Hi there!

Oh good, i'm glad it's normal and not just me being silly! I have been feeling nauseas for the last few days but it is way to early to even be feeling that.. right? i don't get that with AF though, i think i must just have a bug or something.. i don't know, i can't help but think MAYBE i am but then i'm like don't be silly, it's way to early and you're getting your hopes up, etc etc, like maybe if i think it's not going to happen it will... haha i sound like a loonie! i need a slap across the face i think!

Oh dear, such fun, if it doesn't happen quickly for me i know i'm going to send myself insane!

fludo
19-11-2007, 12:29
AmyLou - oh yes, that' VERY normal! The first of TTC, I was sure I had every symptom in the book! And then... 3 BFN's and AF  .

Having said that, I am now pretty confident I know what the real thing feels like. I got pregnant 2 cycles in a row (the first one ended up early miscarriage). And both times I had:

* a change in CM (good luck HP!). Normally it all dries up after O, but both times it hung around, not a lot of it, but compared to dry, it was different. Sort of creamy.

* from about 8dpo, my tummy started poking out just on the inner side of my hip bones. (I'm fairly slim). It wasn't pudgy (fat!), but hard and bloated. Really weird!

* from a few days after that, when I stretched upwards, my upper abs felt tight and a bit sore like I'd just done a workout but I hadn't. I still have that now too.

* boobs weren't sore or bigger until about the day AF due. A week later I'd already gone up a whole cup size! :o

* And a few niggly pains here and there, but it was really the CM and the bloated tummy that tipped me off.

Nomsie
19-11-2007, 13:07
Darn Fludo, I'm putting a cross against all those things for me already! Although I have really only just finished O'ing, so it's waaay to early to tell!
I am so achy today, it is quite uncomfortable, in my knee and hip going into my lower back. Ouch! :(
Oh well fingers crossed for a sticky, DP and I went a little BD crazy on the weekend (TMI lol but now you have read it, it is stuck in your brain cells and you can't stop thinking about it, can you? ;) ) so hopefully December SHOULD be the month! (I know it's november now, but I would find out in December!)

AmyLou
19-11-2007, 13:09
Oh ok, well what i am feeling at the moment is Nauseas, when i eat i feel ok but then shortly after i feel sick again, and yesterday like about 1.5 hrs after i had eaten (a pie so not a massive meal) i was feeling really bloated llike i had just stuffed my face.. i don't know what's going on.. Plus i'm not sure what count i am up to, my cycle goes for approx 32 days and i started day 1 on the 4th nov so am i right that i would be on day 16? How do you know when to start DPO? ahh i don't know.. help!

AmyLou
19-11-2007, 13:12

Thanks for the tips Fludo. I actually am the opposite with my CM - usually I get a fair bit of it before AF, but this month it's really dry. My BBs were really sore and heavy for a few days and are now easing a little. :hair: AHH the TWW!!! :o

YAY!! hp that is awesome. I am so happy for you.

Of course i am always happy for everyone, but have a special place in my heart for those who try and try and finally fall pregnant with their first child.

fludo
20-11-2007, 09:58
Hp - do you have a perfect 28 day cycle? Because the bubhub calculator doesn't take cycle length into account. I think it was the one on babycenter.com that I liked. But basically, if you you have a 30 day cycle, you have to add 2 days onto the date the bubhub calculator gives you.

But hey, bub will come when they're ready!

hp-mum
20-11-2007, 10:04
Thanks Fludo, I'll take a look at that calculator. My cycles are usually 28-29 days. I usually O on CD15 but this month I think I O'd on CD14, so I'm guessing then it would be a 28 day one this time? But like you said, bub will arrive when ready . But guess what? I was the first one to start up the August due date thread! How fun! :p

I'm expecting you girls still to test to join me!

AmyLou
20-11-2007, 10:14
CONGRATULATIONS !!! YAY!! how exciting for you, that's such great news!

What i am having at the moment is definately different to what i get before AF, i actually don't get many symptoms at all, i am just constantly nauseas and have been having a lot of little headaches, just seems to always be there.. so annoying! If i am due on about the 6th Dec is there anyway i can see if i may be pregnant this weekend??? I am having my work xmas party and if i am i don't want to drink. I really doubt i would be the first month of trying but who knows! I would feel guilty if i drunk and then found out i was but then if im not id be disappointed that i didn't drink... I would much rather not drink and be pregnant! wouldn't we all! i brought a test that says u can test 5-7 days before AF is due but that still will be too early and i don't think i could take a BFN as the right result at that time either??? what are your thoughts ladies, help!

I hope you can understand that last post ladies, sorry about the rambling!

Hi AmyLou,

I tested 3 days before my AF is due. You probably don't want to test earlier than 5 days before just because it's quite rare to get a correct result that early. The other thing is too is that if you do get a BFN it could be false because your HCG levels may be too low. If I were you I woud just have 1 or 2 drinks and use the excuse you have to drive or that you're feeling ill or something. The weekend just gone we had a work function to go to and I had about 3 drinks over the whole day, drank them slowly and had HEAPS of water between drinks. I didn't know that I was PG then, but I just took the precaution.

AmyLou
20-11-2007, 11:37
Yeah i thought it would be too early, i might do one just to see, u never know haha, i wondered whether the bloodtest might be an option as maybe it is better than the tests? maybe it can detect it earlier? Can't quite use the excuse that it's cos i'm driving as it's at our house, haha and i bet if i say i feel ill they might think im pregnant, most of them know that we were going to start trying soon, anyway i could always just fool them and pretend im having vodka with my lemonade! haha yeah i will just have a few, have a good time and try not to think about it too much!

So it's very exciting about your news, how long had you been TTC?

hp-mum
20-11-2007, 13:50
AmyLou - pretending to have vodka in your drink is a great idea! I've done that one before ;).
Goodluck testing, but don't let yourself feel down if you see a BFN as it is so early.

I've been TTCing since Nov last year, I did fall preg in Jan but ended in m/c in March, so I am a little extra stressed this time round. :fingerscrossed: It's as sticky one!

Just remember - It will happen.

Hi all!
Congrats to all who have finally fell preggers!!!
I'm new to all this as well, and have been TTC since May 2007. I am 32, and am getting rather depressed with the whole "I might be Preg - test - oh no I'm not" yoyo thing... sigh!
:snow:
My cycles have been a little all over the place since coming off the Pill in April. Fingers crossed that they seem to be coming back on line now...
I've had sex more in the last 6 months than in my entire life I think!!!
Lucky I've got a younger man... hehe!!!
:smiliedance:
Anyway, best of luck to all...
Ad feel free to sent some luck my way.
Hope to chat soon!!!

First, i have to say....

HP congrats!!! I am SOOOOO happy for you, you deserve this so much and this one will stick for sure!!! I was so pleased when i read that.

Secondly, i am back here to join you guys again. I got my BFP a few months ago, but unfortunatley i recently had a m/c :(. I have just had a D & C done. So i will be back ttc again in the not too distant future. Not sure when yet, too soon at this stage after the operation.

Welcome to all the new gals, hope your stay is a short one (in the nicest possible way!)

And Fludo is right, this is a lucky thread, lets hope it rubs off on us all. :hugs:

Thanks everyone for your kind words :hugs:

I really feel like i would like to try again as soon as my dr says its ok. I see her on Monday, and she said if everything looks ok after the D & C, it will be ok to try again in 4 weeks.

Having this experience makes me want to be pregnant even more than ever. I just want that healthy bub at the end, as im sure we all do.

And thanks Nomsie for the smileys, the new ones are really cute!

Here are lots of these for everyone. Hopefully they will bring us some luck.

Hi all congrats to the lucky ones :smiliedance:(i hope and wish it me!! ) and to those who have had not so much luck :hugs::hugs:.

Any ways I need some advise i am currently 7 days past o. My bb are soo sooo sore, it started off on one side and now both. I have noticed that with AF that i can get sore but not this earily either. I feel before i eat and i feel fine after (eat way less). I feel like i am going to be sick before i eat (crazy or what??). I feel like i have had a lot of big nights I am so tired all the time. By 3pm i am dead on my feet.

I have not looked at cm i haven't ever thought about it. It has been really hot here and i can tell you i come from North West NSW (grow up there) and i can put up with heat but i am not coping at all :crying:.

Ok i have told you all enough let me know what you all think?

Hi guys, I am new here  My DH and I are newly married, he is 27 and I am 26. We are trying for number 1 and this is my first cycle at it!

I'm not sure what to expect. I have been on the pill for 7 years, and in the last couple of months I had a really stressful job that I ended up quitting, had a DIY wedding and went overseas for 6 weeks (and stayed up for 36 hours on the way back cos I can't sleep on planes!) - I think my body may have been knocked about by all the stress and change. So I'm not expecting any miracles (ok I'm hoping like crazy )... but I can't help noticing a few little niggly changes that have me wondering, maybe I am!:fingerscrossed: Sorry if this is TMI, but... I had some spotting last week although I'm not due until next week (at least - never did figure out how long my cycle was!), my boobs seem to be getting denser and ache a bit, and I have been hormonal like you wouldn't believe!

So I'm keeping everything :fingerscrossed: that I am, but I guess we just have to wait and see ;) I don't know what date to say is my testing date, I might test tomorrow morning so I guess it is a little bit too late to get my name on the first post :)

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi aphrdeity welcome to the thread! I myself am only new too, this is my first month of TTC, it's exciting and nerve racking at the same time isn't it??

So if you don't mind me asking when did you start your last AF? Did you work out when approx. you might have been o'ing?

My fingers are crossed for you along with everyone else! Talk soon

Aphrdeity and AmyLou - I'm on my first month of TTC#1 as well!

I am on CD24, but think I only o'd on CD19. It's my first cycle off the pill, so don't have any idea what's going to happen. I seem to recall that my cycle was about 31 days, but that was years ago. I guess now I have to push my testing date back to at least 31st Oct...

Anyway, so far so fun on the TTC road. Lots of Bd-ing, and last weekend I travelled to Beijing and hiked along the Great Wall of China!

It sure helped part of this month go by...

Oh Hi ayse08, it is exciting getting started isn't it, i just hope it happens quickly! i have been off the pill for about 3/4 months and my cycle has been quite regular so that's great. By couting i am due to be ovulating yesterday so yes there has been a lot of BD'ing this end too. You said you need to push your testing date back, did you mean 30 nov? or 1st Dec? i think you said october?? Anyway, goodluck for whenever it is, i'm due to test on about the 6th Dec, can't wait for that day to arrive!

Hi Larazie, my fingers are crossed for a BFP on Sunday, let's hope that horrid AF stays away, wouldn't that be a nice anniversary present for you guys!!! Goodluck!

Thanks for your welcome, guys :)

Amylou, yes I can't believe what a rollercoaster this is already! I'm excited, then I'm scared, then I'm nervous and impatient and then back to excited again!! (and a bit of crazy hormonal 'I want a baby!' to boot :o)

It's a bit difficult for me to say when my last AF started. I stopped the pill on 28 Oct, but I was on my honeymoon then so my daily routine was all messed up and I forgot about 5-6 pills in the two weeks before that and, well, AF had already started by itself then anyway! So I have been thinking the 28th as a start date, but it was kinda before that, so I am not really sure what's going on!

Because I don't know how long my cycle is, I have been going by a standard 28-day one (although I think I might be longer) which says I would have o'd about a week and a half ago. Oh I am looking forward to figuring it all out to save on all this confusion! I think I will start monitoring my temps after this month, to try and figure it out.

This morning was my second :bfn: this week, back to the drawing board. I'll test again next Friday to be sure because it's my sister's bday party and I want to be able to have a drink or two!

Welcome ayse, and ni hao! I am newly off the pill so am in the same boat as you :) China would be a great way to pass the time! Are you on holiday there, or living?

Oh Larazie, how cool would it be to have another 'thing' happen in November, a BFP! And what a great anniversary present! I have everything crossed for you :fingerscrossed:

On that note I'm starting to think maybe December will be the month for us - go the Christmas surprise!! :fingerscrossed: Everything happens in September for us, so if I did get pregnant next month I would be due then!

Sorry, this has turned into an essay!

AmyLou
23-11-2007, 14:18
Aphrodeity, it's crazy hey, i don't think i'm due to test until the 6th dec, that's when AF is due anyway but tomorrow night i have my work xmas party so i want to know now so that i can drink, otherwise if i have a few i'm going to feel very guilty if i do get a BFP. Anyway, i thought i would do a test tomorrow and just MAYBE i get a BFP which would make me feel great cos then i could say well i'm not drinking cos i am preg, wouldn't tell anyone obviously but would just be nice to know.. i'm sure you all understand what im talking about.. i hope???

Don't get too worried about your BFN's just yet, you never know, it might be too early for you to tell at this stage...

Larazie my fingers are crossed for you... bring on sunday!

Anway ladies i am off to work.. that's the other thing, the sooner i get my BFP the closer i am to stopping work.. haha still would be like 8 months away.. haha bring it on i say!

Talk soon!!

Hello, love this post, I feel sometimes I am hijacking posts of ladies who are mums already. be good to share one with TTC'ers

My name is Peta, I am 30, live in QLD. Have a hubby, three cats and a dog.

Have only been TTC for such a short time now but took me about a year to try to get hubby ready to think about kids then the courage up to actually go get my IUD out.

On my second AF since having the IUD out and am feeling miserable, perhaps Xmas will bring a little surprise for us :)

Afternoon All,

Fludo can you please whack me up on the board for a :bfn:

Apparently it makes no stick of difference for me if I POAS at the shopping centre in the afternoon or if I do it at 6am with FMU.

I tried the shopping centre to encourage a scenic, graphic, and probably embarassing story about when I found out i was UTD.

Note to all - Reverse psychology does NOT work :shame: I also bought 25 hpt's and 30 opks from the net - another attempt at reverse psychology :( I was supposed to get a BFP and then say well i just wasted my money on all these tests....

If my next cycle stays regular I will be due to test on Xmas Eve or Xmas Day :tree:.

Good luck all for our :bfp:'s from SAnta (y is this emoti so boring?)

ok, I don't seem to be able to edit the testing calendar either. Ever since the new smilies came on I haven't been able to click on them or to change the font, and it puts everything in one sentence. Started a thread in technical section but no replies yet. Don't know what's going on. When I tried to edit the calendar it had everything like in HTML or something weird, and when I finally found the name I needed, I couldn't click on the font. So, unless this somehow gets fixed, the testing calendar is at a stand still (I'd enter some really annoyed icons, particularly the one of the little dude bashing the computer, but hey, can't do that either! No AF for me, I'm on 12DPO.
I'm more comfortable with letting go of this one then holding out hope too much, I quickly established the emotional side of TTC is exhausting, and I have nothing but respect for those who have been trying for 6 months, or 1 year, or even longer. Amazingly strong ladies they are.

I'm officially into the 2ww now at 4 or 5dpo (not totally sure)...how boring.

I accidentally had my first cup of coffee today in a week - and I used to have one a day during the week and 2 on weekends! So the sudden surge of caffeine has sent me a bit crazy...leading me to commit the worst faux pas a woman could ever commit to another woman by asking a friend if she was pregnant! My mouth just worked without my brain controlling it and DH and another friend just stood there trying to stop me... :o oops! Luckily she took it well, I managed to cover it up and we all blamed it on the baby doll top being in fashion!

No more coffee for me I think is the lesson here!

Anyway, back to this boring 2ww, DH has let me plan and throw a huge Christmas Eve party for our friends which will keep my mind totally off possible impending motherhood. Tho when I mentioned this to DH, he threw his arms around me and said 'but I DO hope we get pregnant this month!', which is very unlike him, so I'm all hopeful now!

And in case I needed anything else to take my mind off things, I work in the Layby department of Target. Yes, the store with the huge 'layby for Christmas sales' which start in July. Please feel sorry for me :p.

I hope everyone else is coping if they're in the 2ww, or if AF has just turned up.

Katie - sorry about your dreadful news. I really hope everything sorts itself out and you get the baby you deserve. In the meantime, I'll be praying for you!

Nomsie
24-11-2007, 19:19
Sounds like a great idea, elly-star, planning a party I mean! Not asking a lady when she is due! I tend to wear a lot of baby-doll tops lately, firstly because they are breezy and so I don't get as hot, but secondly because I have put on a few kg's since hooking up with DP, and it has gone around my waist, so baby-doll is perfect for disguising! But I am morbidly afraid of someone asking me when I am due! lol

and yes, I do feel sorry for you, working lay-by at this time of year! Although I do slightly envy you, I love to check out what other people are buying! I guess I must be a bit of a closet snoop!

I am sooooo desperate to get a medical confirmation, although all signs and gut feeling say I am pregnant.

I o'd about 11-13 Nov, tested 18, 19 and 21 and 23 and 24 with no BFP!!!
I am due for AF tomorrow, no sign so far but I have been extremely buggared this week, nauseas and my boobs feel a little fuller.
I am sure I am, but can anyone tell me if a BFN is normal at this time? last pregnancy I got a bfp one day after missed period, and my luteal phase was about 12 days then.

Morning all,

Well AF hinted at her impending arrival on Friday night, and was here in full swing yesterday. With so much time spent on birth control, I honestly forgot how dam bad it feels to be all crampy and sore on that first day.

i'm ok with AF arriving, but what is causing me a hint of concern is that my LP was only 11 days. It is supposed to be 14 isn't it? Can i maintain an eggie if it does implant?? i have only charted one cycle so perhaps i shall not start to stress about LP until I have a few cycles for comparison. I O'd at 17 DPO and then 11 day LP which gave me a very standard 28 day cycle. At least I dont have to work out different days when trying to apply different info I have found on the net.

Elly-Star, the party planning sounds great. We have an xmas party with close friends usually 3 weeks before xmas, I have been allocated what meals DP and I are expected to bring over. Instead of buying them I plan on making it all for scratch, I like to cook (dont eat it usually - i hate everything lol) and making it from scratch is my plan to help me get through to O without much stress. Well I did say thats the PLAN.

As for the baby-doll tops....... I decided not to FLOG myself at the gym as we are TTC and I'm going to get fat anyway, oops - 2 months later and i've already put on 4 kilos. So i luuuuuuuurve the baby doll tops (especially cause I can SEE me in them while I'n UTD). I worry bout the same thing though, that i a;lready look UTD, so i where a beltover it on my waist and then puff the top over the belt. It shows you have a normal tummy - well one with a bit of extra padding lol.

Well that is definitely enough rambling from me.

For those on the 2WW good luck and :fingerscrossed: for your :bfp:. For all the rest of us..... bring on O.

fludo
25-11-2007, 13:00
Giveitago - sorry to hear AF arrived. I fell into exactly the same trap as you regarding being slack with my exercise because I was going to get fat anyway. I put on a few kilos as it took 5 months to get a BFP. I bought a few baby doll tops the other day to hide my bloated self, although I'm worried they might make me look more pregnant! Trying to hide it for a while longer, although we told my immediate family yesterday - will make my mum a grandma. And bub is due on her birthday! Feel kinda relieved we've finally told someone. A mod is checking out my posting problems by the way, so hopefully it will be sorted out soon. However, if someone else wants to start up a new TTC Bub #1 thread and set up a new testing calendar, I'd be all for it. It's probably time I moved on anyhow although I still love popping in here to see how everyone's doing. have a great Sunday!

Hi Everyone! How are we all? Sorry about the AF's arriving ladies... :(

Well i am on the 2WW, had my work xmas party last night, and was worried about drinking if there was the slightest possibility that i could be UTD. I decided to drink and see how i went but as it turned out, i started drinking and didn't really feel like it so in the end i only had two drinks... so i was happy with that and it's also good that i don't feel terrible today!

I'm really not sure about my feelings as to whether i am or not.. i don't like to think i am as i don't want to be disappointed, i guess i will find out soon enough hey! Fingers are crossed though!

Katieflutterby
25-11-2007, 15:40
First, im sorry to all those who AF has turned up for... she is so unwelcome!!!

And also thanks to everyone for your support during this hard time :hugs: it really helps, because most people didnt even know i was pregnant, and are wondering why i am so down at the moment...

As for me, i am STILL bleeding after my D&C, it has been 12 days now. When will this end! It is a constant reminder of what has happened, its cruel. It slows down, i start to get happy because its finally gone, then bang, straight back again. :hissy:

Im seeing my Obstetrician again tomorrow, hopefully she can give me some answers about the bleeding. Cant even think about TTC until i stop this bleeding, I am at a complete stand still.

And planning a xmas party as a distraction is a fantastic idea, it would be a great way for us gals to chill and enjoy ourselves :chillpill: (its a chill pill by the way, pretty cool, i just wanted to use it!)

My best friend had a baby yesterday, i went to visit her, and held the baby, i was so happy and so sad at the same time. Im sure people thought i was mad when i was smiling but had tears pouring out of my eyes at the same time. But my best friend knows what happened, and she understands. And im so happy for her, its just hard too when i should have had my own in June next yr.

I worry about the baby doll tops too, i have lots of them, but try not to wear them to work etc. cos i dread the day someone asks me if i am pregnant, because they are likely to witness a bit of an emotional outburst from me!! But hey, they certainly hide the lumps and bumps, i hope they stay in fashion for a while yet, makes it easier to have a pregnancy wardrobe too.

I'm sorry for your loss Katieflutterby and I hope you're going well, and that your ob is able to give you some answers.

Sorry to hear about the AF giveitago!

Amylou, glad to hear your xmas party went well - sounds like it worked out for the best! I have been trying not to set myself up for disappointment either, but...

AF still hasn't raised her head yet, and I've been sick all weekend. I nearly passed out yesterday (never happens to me, unless you count my early 20's when there was lots of tequila involved ) and have been dizzy on and off since. It's weird. I've also had little appetite - now that's definitely weird  - but when I don't eat I get the shakes. So I don't know what's going on, but I'm trying to just say "if I am I am, and if I'm not I'm not - there's nothing I can do now". Wednesday is test day now, if nothing else happens with AF. Or Tuesday, if I can't wait.

It doesn't help that a close family member is newly pregnant. I'm surprised at how hard that is to deal with, I have cried a lot since finding out :gloomy: But then I feel really selfish for not being happy for her. What a rollercoaster!

On a happy note, I have a baby doll top on right now. It hides lumpy bits. Gotta love that! Although it has prompted DH's grandfather to ask me if I was pregnant before!

ETA: I meant to ask, can I ask questions about CM in here? Or does that belong in another section? Don't want to gross anyone out if it's not appropriate here!

Hi everyone!

Aphrodeityn - My party did go well, thanks! It's good news that AF hasn't arrived for you, those symptoms you have also sound promising! My fingers are crossed for you hun! Feel free to ask about CM, i don't mind and i don't think anyone else will, it's all part of the process isn't it!!

How is everyone else?

Hi Ladies

I've started the TTC number 1 thread #2 so that Fludo can move on with her pregnancy.

Hi all sorry about AF arriving ins some households. I am getting inpatient, I am soooooo tired and my Boobs!!! Wow!!

Yeah please aphrodeity ask because I want to know more too!

And about the feeling dizzy I have to agree with that. I am not getting shaky but I am getting dizzy. (I hate that feeling)

I am waiting to test on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. I should know if AF is going to be visiting on Tuesday night or Wednesday. (here is hoping she won’t because I really don’t want another cycle of Clomid I have been soo sick.)

Any ways more info about cm would also help me too. Thanks

Susan
