My dh has finally gotten a job that is not considered 'self employed' and i was going to see about getting payments. (when he was 'self employed' i just couldnt be stuffed with the paperwork so i didnt bother with it).

I was just wondering if i had to provide 3 previous years of tax returns to be able to get a payment? I dont want to be backpaid at all. Just start from when DH started his new job. I thought i had read it somewhere on the site, but now i cant seem to find it anywhere.

Any help/answers would be appreciated

Cheers Tanni

i am self employed and i just supply them with a profit and loss statement every like 3-6 months it wasnt a hassle and i only needed to lodge them if my income changed they will probably want to know what you have earnt the last few years do you have tax returns?

As his not self employed now it should be pretty straight forward to claim things depending when he finished being self employed too they may just want to see what his earnt from July and what his estimate is for the year

I dont think that FAO is backpaid from memory or there is a limit to how long they backpay you for
