I'm happily married with a 14 month-old. Hubby works full-time as a Police Officer and I work part-time as a nurse. child care is a last resort therefore I might work morning shift and hubby works an afternoon shift to juggle around the babysitting - oh and help from the relatives - namely my parents who live a minute away!
Ever had really clingy friends that don't understand that when we have time off together we enjoy spending it together?
Let me know if you've had clingy friends that don't understand your busy lifestyle?:banghead:

I hear ya!! My partner works mainly night shift and between us we have 4 children. So on the rare occasion that we're alone together, without kids, we want to spend it doing things together. And we have friends who can't understand it, but it's ok for them to dump us when their partner is around.

I dunno. I'm so over it.

LOL I have this and neither me or my friends have kids yet!

Try not to let it upset you, its times like this you find out who your real friends are.

If they keep being uppity, remind them of why you are not always available, sometimes that all it takes because most of us are too wrapped up in our own lives to realise :o

Most of my good friends are on the other side of the world - I would love to have my clingy friends around! Husband is best friend of all I suppose so that is the main thing.

The one clingy friend I have is the one who I met in playgroup when our kids were only 8 weeks or so old. Now it's grown to kind of a "Love" and "Dislike" relationship. We've been friends now for nearly a year, and I work full time, she's part time. If she hasn't heard from me for a day or two, I'll get a phone call "Where are you???" And then if she hasn't heard from me, she becomes cross- I can't win!
Do you find the clingy relationship draining? I do! I have a limited time with my little family and I enjoy the special times after work and the weekends spending it with them :)
My friend is moving though and in some ways... not so sad to see her go! I don't really have the guts to tell her how I feel though.
