Yes, I know what you're all thinking.
I have far to much of a sweet tooth, (teeth).
Here is a yummy recipe I threw together.
It involves three of my favorite food groups.
Cream + chocolate mousse + sweet pie crust.
Ingredients
1 sweet flan case (Pie base-you can buy Pampas or make your own).
400mls of thickened cream.
1 Tbsp sugar.
1 Tbsp drinking chocolate powder.
1 packet of Hansells chocolate mousse powder.
250mls of milk.
Grated chocolate (dark/milk/white-optional!).
Chocolate round melts.
Icing- Cake mate decorating gel's.
Sprinkles-(colour optional).
Method
Bake frozen flan case for 10-15 minutes. (Mine burnt a little-oops!-Heating directions on packet).
While flan case is baking, blend Hansells chocolate mousse powder with 250mls of cold milk. (Mixing directions on packet).
While flan case is still baking, blend 400mls of thickened cream + sugar + drinking chocolate. (Should look like a pale chocolate colour).
Place the mousse seperately into the fridge to cool for 15 minutes.
Place the cream separately into the fridge to cool for 15 minutes.
Remove flan case from oven to cool for 15 minutes.
Once cooled, add a thick layer of chocolate mousse to the flan case, level down with spoon. Add a layer of cream and level down with spoon. Add the rest of the chocolate mousse and level down, add a the rest of the cream (optional).
Decorate with grated chocolate, chocolate drinking powder, chocolate melts in desired pattern. Use ice gels to colour in hearts, stars, christmas tree's etc, onto chocolate melts, add sprinkles.
WALLAH!
Cover with foil or something that won't ruin your work of art! Here is a photograph of the finished product!
