Fortel evap line

Hi there
Just wondering how common evap lines are with Fortel?

AF not due till Monday, tested this morning and got an evap line - not sure when it came up. Nothing in the first 5 minutes. Looked at it 2 hours later and there it was - very clear.

For anyone who has experienced the same thing with this brand, did you end up with BFNs and BFPs?

They're very common after the expired time for me when I use them. Unless a + line comes up within a few minutes I personally wouldn't believe it.
Theyre cheap so you get what you pay for I think, accurate but you get the evap line.

I got faint positives all the time with that stupid brand and mine would come up immediately and i wasn't pregnant. i think a few people have had bad luck with these fortel tests pls take my word for it and try a more reputable brand like Crystal clear or even confirm.

Yep all three tests came up with an obvious evap that looked like a faint positive within about 10mins. not reliable tests at all:no: I would try a more reliable brand like crystal clear or confirm.

yeh i agree, id say get a cyrstal clear one or confirm test they work well, havent had any troubles with them. good luck! :thumbsup::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

Thanks for all your replies - looks like fortel gets a big :thumbsdown: . Used another brand yesterday morning and there was no sign at all of a second line so a BFN for now. Not to worry. Will stay away from fortel in the future though and not waste my money!

Well, AF was due yesterday (at the latest) and no sign of it so I tested again with Confirm. Got a faint BFP after about 2 minutes. Went for a blood test today and get the results tomorrow. Fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: .

Just wanted to say fortel are bad, bad tests i always got evap line that looked like faint BFP. But this time used confirm:thumbsup: the best I think

Oh do you have the results yet??? I would say a congrats is in order, I have never heard of anyone getting a false positive or evap line on a confirm test, they are so reliable!!:smiliedance: :bfp: :fingerscrossed:

I got AF this morning - well, I think it's AF anyway - seems lighter than usual. Still waiting on blood results from doc. So either it was a false positive or a very early miscarriage :confused:

Hopefully its nothing but a light bleed which can happen ( with DD I had 2 and shes now 11 months old :thumbsup: )

Well, blood results stated "equivocal" HCG between 5-50. ie could not confirm that I was pregnant but could not say that I wasn't. How confusing.

Doc thinks I was not pregnant. I think she was trying to spare my feelings.

To me, that result, together with the faint positive HPT, late AF and preg symtoms tells me I was. Must have been a very early miscarriage.

Not sure what your overall outcome was but I had the same last month, had heaps of faint lines, was going crazy testing mysef, then my period arrived but I knew it would as the line never got any darker. I have TTC again this cycle and might be pg again but the HCG hormone can remain in your system for a while, currently having pos and neg? Period due Thursday so will have to wait and see, Best of Luck to you!

So sorry to hear that. I would say most likely you were pregnant for a fleeting moment, but it didn't stick hence the faint positive on your test, you right your doc was probably trying to save you the heartache of you knowing it was a very early miscarriage.
