Hi I have a mighty active 8 1/2 month old daughter and I live in a flat.

I want to take her out to do active stuff on a casual basis.

We've been to swimming lessons and like the pool, but I was thinking more something on dry land.

I went to a well known brand of indoor play centre in the inner west yesterday and was VERY dissappointed with the quality and cleanliness of the toys and activities availible for babies her age. (I'm not asking for much just a big padded area with toys or activities that aren't broken and look clean, with heaps of room to play)

Does anyone have any suggestions of play centres or activities I can take my DD to where she can stretch her legs and get a bit excited without killing anyone or breaking anything.

I have been looking for something like this for aaaages! Can't find a decent one round North Shore at all. There is one a Chatswood but it's not very good....and useless for babies,,,nothing there for them at all! There is near coles in Neutral bay that I haven't been to so not sure about that one. Thats about all I have found so far!
Keep me posted if you find any!

The one by coles in Neutral Bay is called BAY PLAY and is fantastic for kids under 4, it's owner operated and always really friendly - can get REALLY busy around 10 am the best time is early afternoon, I take the 2 yr old I nanny all the time!!!! (loved it when she was young too) Good food and coffee too - they charge $9.50 p.h. for under 2s and if it's quiet they let u stay longer at no extra cost!!! Really clean and perfect for little ones. They validate parking
The mosman library has storytime and songs every Tue at 10am for free for the younger ones, and Mosman community centre has music sessions on Thurs, at 10.30, costs $4.00 but the kids get snacks and Mummies get coffee and buscuits, it's called Mainly Music, easy parking at these too or easy bus ride!!
You can also become a zoo member (about $100 a year I think) and go 4 free as often as u like, lots of baby animals 4 the little ones and a really cool water play area there now!!! When they start walking the hill is great for making them tired!!! There's an indoor park at Brookvale too that is apparantly good, special baby area, but I haven't been!!!
Could try Gymbaroo sessions (look them up on the net), they are good 4 busy babies, let me know if u need more info - local council will have lists of community things in the area!!!!
Can let u know about the parks and stuff in the area too!!!
