DH has a job offer there starting in January and we are weighing up the pros and cons of going.

Hi there!!

I saw your post about possibly moving to LA. Santa Monica is great! It's right at the beach and there is a lot to do. There's an area called the 3rd Street Promenade and it's a pedestrian street with lots of hip, cool stores. There are a lot of moms with young kids in that area too. The winter November through about March can be fairly cool at the beach, but it is really beautiful. The summer months have what's called June gloom and the fog rolls in around 5p and it takes a while to burn off the next day, but you can always drive just about 5-10 miles inland and it will be sunny and warm!
I am doing the opposite move, we're moving from LA to Sydney and arrive the 30th of November. I am excited and nervous. We're moving for my husband's job and will be there until about the end of April. I will not be working for the first time in my adult life! I have a 2year old daughter and am hoping to be able to find things to entertain her while we're there. We just rented an apt. in Neutral Bay on Kurraba Street. Someone in my husbands office went looking for us!! I hope it's nice! Please feel free to ask any questions!!
